1. Introduction: As the spring season has arrived, the temperature is rising. There are new leaves on the trees. The birds are chirping, flowers are blossoming, and animals are breeding. I see this season as a season of love, rebirth, rejuvenation and new beginnings. To mark the season, I have got a glass for you, which will help you to relax and meditate with watercolors. Hey guys, I am with the guarana. Then artist instructors go share, detour our mother and our brand educator for Winsor and Newton. Many of you might already know me, handle the people who are joining me for the first time, I go by the name watercolor, illustration dot Lego on Instagram, most of my artwork send displayed over there. I will ask you to make a goal beverage, sit by her balcony and enjoy the beautiful bougainvillea flowers by bringing it to life on a piece of paper. Walk through the wild meadows in the forest, and enjoy the tulip gardens somewhere in Europe. Finally, can join a scientist meal with your family, somewhere in the subcu or beach. To pink, these spring inspired paintings, you don't need any prior knowledge. Pen, watercolors. You will walk through all the supplies and all the videos are Realtime so that you can paint along with me, as well as good as suitable for any level of artist. The projects are exclusive of each other or organized in an increasing level of difficulty, as well as broken down into simple steps of 15 to 20 minutes each, so that each of these fainting can fit into your physician deal. And it is one scale are one inch tip as well as an half an inch deep. Colors? Yes. You can mix and match all the colors. I have colors from different brands, Winsor and Newton, then White Nights, Daniel Smith, All effect. Like majorly, I would be using box from Winsor and Newton. It has got Dwayne before followers as well as I have added one or two extra sheets into it. How white wash for padding in kind of highlights for details. Two jars of water is very handy. One jar for picking up any of the colors or whatever you do mistakes, angle seconds are for washing your brushes. On risky tissue, really handy with gossip. Tissues are always a lifesaver. If you want to pick up any dollars, if you want to actually take off or wipe off your brushes. Issues are really handy in that way. That's all from the supplier's perspective. I will let you know all the colors which you need to use in the ritually in each of these spring inspired paintings. 3. Wild Flower Meadow: Let's have a look at all the colors which we will be using for completing this painting. The lemon, yellow, yellow, green, sap green. When I came from French ultramarine, blue, Winsor orange, I'm Forrest screen. We will be going through a lot of techniques and each of these paintings we'll cover some beautiful techniques like salt, wet on wet, wet on dry. But through each of the paintings only, you will be learning each of these techniques. It's not that we have a different technique section to understand the techniques head, so just let off go all your fears and jump off with the first lesson. We are on to our Posts painting for the spring season. In spring weather usually the temperature rises and it becomes more warmer. Crease begins to grow their leaves, plants and flowers and young animals such as chickens and the lamps I usually bond. So this is one of the most positive season that you can look forward to. And I am always very happy whenever I think about the spring season. Finally, the window does all word this normal is gone and the weekend actually look up to life in a very, very positively. We will start this painting. I did already taped down my Paypal. It's a one-inch tape which I have used. I am going ahead and first adding water on the whole of the papal. This is across swatch, which I have done. I would be using majorly three to four colors. Now, this is a mix-and-match of colors which I would be doing. There are majorly four columns which I will be using the left-hand side, this completely cobalt blue, which I did apply first, Dennis, my yellow blue. After that, I have my ultramarine kids, the French ultramarine color. And the last one is the ocean blue, Prussian blue. I would be applying only towards the top area. Dress. All the colors I could be applying throughout though. Fiery off the painting. Just stay along. And this is going to be on very simple vaccine 20 minute exercise, which we are going except the drying time which you need for this painting. And I can tell you it's going to rain that fell. Sing that song of the birds for you. Yes. I think this is one of the most beautiful paintings which I did attempt for this spring season. I hope it also actually touches your heart the way it did touched my heart. So I am adding some more ultramarine now onto my paper. Few of the areas so will be lighter and values while you come down towards the bottom area, it would be more. Lighter in value, 70% of the people they will be adding the blue rest, 30 percent of the paper you will have more of the yellow and green. Yellow looks very implied that span of the reason I have chosen yellow flowers. Adding some more cobalt blue towards the bottom of the sky area. It is a very, very light value which I have added some more water to make the colors look a bit dilute on the papal. That's how you go about painting the spot. You can always pick up the colors. Just take it off with the head of your damp brush, then you can wash it in the jar of water. I have specifically shown you how I have placed my char, how I have placed my palette. Everything on the right compared to engage, you are left-handed person. You will place everything on the left-hand start your painting. Other right, that's easier to actually manage and handle. And hence, I always tell you usually the best practices which can be followed while you paint this beautiful springtime season. Paintings. Along with it, you need to start applying this Sennelier yellow. Now, this Sennelier yellow is any kind of yellow which you can get on the palette. I particularly love this yellow because it is really very bright and beautiful. That one of the reason I have applied it on the paper right now you will see that I am varying the intensity, or you can say the values of the yellow color in few places. Some of the places are deeper and values, whereas some of the places are lighter in values. I am picking up a color of green with the help of my silver black velvet brush, you can use any green that is available on your palette. And using my bright yellow green, some forest green, and one more darker shade or CRE, about which I have told you in the beginning. It is basically Taylor Green Light, the bark. You do not need to own all of this column, whatever is available on your palette, just go ahead with those colors. You can choose yellow, green if you do not have this bright yellow green available on your ballot, so choose whatever is available and start painting with it. Throughout all my classes, I have always told the ultimate intent is to pin the probe beautiful painting. And seriously, you should not think about the outcome which you get on the paper. That's Paul should always be the approach. I can tell you you will never be disheartened that way. Secondly, the more you paint the molecule will understand about the paper paints, pigments. Watercolors and how they behave on the paper altogether, how much water you should apply to get a particular effect. What kind of sort technique you can use, the Ruby using some sort for this painting too. But I'm just saying that you can discover so much more. And in watercolors you will have a few happy accidents, which practically can't be ignored hand side. You have to make peace with it and be happy with that. I think I am happy the way I have added some small, small lines with the green. This is a wet on wet technique which I'm doing right now. I have taken some amount of forest green on my brush from Rosemary. This is the script liner brush which I am using and I am adding the colors like yellow then my dark green to make it look very soft. Whenever you are working wet on wet to you, our approach will be really soft and nice. Now I am adding some amount of table salt on my paper only in few of the ideas which are majorly in green. I'm going towards the top of the papal where have painted my clouds and adding some more salt. Once your paper is dry, you will see some beautiful effects where the salt has actually displaced your colors and you will get some effect. What you currently also want the paper. I think this is one of the very pretty affects which usually I have observed in many of the paintings which I have done. I hope you do fall in love with using table salt. And now let's go ahead and hide some flowers. How do I think these flowers just make two petals of a flower? One would be a big battle, and one would be a smaller petals. And start adding the colors. Once you are done with the sketching part, the sketching is going to be really simple, as I have told you. And there would be seven to eight flowers, which I will be showing. Rest of the flowers are in the background and we do not want to became each and everything in the painting. That's so one of the aspects. So where you can always look into not to detail a fleeting which you observe. A few things loose and simple. Keeping it loose actually makes your watercolor look more life and beautiful. For painting my petals, I will be using majorly three colors. And now one is my quinacridone, gold, then my orange. This is the Winsor orange, which I have whatever orange you have available with you, you can go ahead and use stack. And next distal Guan sienna. If you do not have quinacridone, gold, use burnt sienna. I will show you how the effect comes with quinacridone, gold, as well as spent burnt sienna. It is not much of a difference. Hence, they can be used. For whatever availability is there with you guys. I'm using the tip of my SCADA optimal brush. I hope that if you are having this kind of brush, go ahead and use it. In case you do not have this kind of a brush, use a small brush to add this orange follow and then blended. This is the headquarter optimal size six brush? Yes, even size six has a beautiful tip. If you see now, I am going ahead and adding some darker values with the bond sienna, which I did pick up on the brush and blending it with some clean water. Once I did blended with some clean water, I go ahead and start painting the stem which holds these flowers. And then we will even go ahead and paint some buds because usually there will be floods as well as there will be flowers. Hence, you cannot ignore these small, small aspects which form the complete nature. It would be an even, it will have some kind of randomness. That's everything about nature. And we should love what we observe. Ideally love to observe nature and then go ahead. In the similar way you absolve me painting, sometimes there will be two buds, sometimes there will be one, but it all depends on how you want to paint it. I love to add that randomness and that natural aspect to painting meadows or to any kind of painting that I do for mine. Nature inspired paintings, sign keeping thing, these small, smaller branches as well as smart small leaves. While you paint these leaves and grasses, make sure that you apply more pressure on your brush, which would give a tickle strokes. And while you go very light with your brush, you will see that you'll get thinner strokes with the tip of your brush. I'm going absolutely perpendicular and few of the places, and in few of the places I am going ahead and using the thicker stroke. So it has to be a mix-and-match of how your brushstrokes work. Hence, just keep painting wherever you want to add this, these branches, grasses, but do make sure that you are not overdoing. We want to keep the effect Dr. Salt, which you see in the background and somehow your foreground under detail should not overshadow it completely. As we move forward, you will absorb that. I would be detailing more of the flowers because we are now actually left with only the detailing part. Most often background as well as the loose techniques have already being done. The flowers, which I am painting, is usually in three different colors, as I have told you. It can be quinacridone, gold, orange, Hank, you're bugged, sienna. If you do not have that went up, put on gold. I have used all of these three colors. You can go ahead and only use two of them. Orange actually is really bright and vibrant. That's the reason I have used orange in this case. And I'm going absolutely random while I'm painting these florals. Just going over the yellow spots which I have and I have made to scoop petaled flowers which are showing in our direction. That's it. I think that should be quite easy. And I've tried to kept each and everything very, very simple so that you can understand it pretty easily. Everything is real time. You can watch me and paint along as well as you can do one more step that is watching it full-stack, Dweck speed or any speed of your choice. And then start painting along with me. That would actually help you to get an edge over how you proceed in your class. Once you are done, produce flowers, I think, or you can have a final look at your painting. The important aspect while you paint these flowers is just knowing where to stop. Stopping is really important. You need to stop at a particular place are you can see how after you have done a specific number of flowers, a2, ten, or 1215, I don't think that there is any further requirement of adding any more florals onto this painting. Because we're going to keep it loose and really simple, as I've already told you. It's completely beginner friendly. Anyone who is new to watercolors can also add them to us and I'm pretty sure about it. You would be in a position to nail it. Only important aspect of watercolor, which we do not understand as a beginner is the watercolor paper. Many of you have told me we are using or 300 years and paper. Why I'm not getting the exact effect which I absorbed on the paper or pitcher absorbed that teachers getting. One of my ask is always that would give you actually take a 100 percent gotten people and mostly dad citizen, no, 100 percent cotton people is really important and it should be acid free. In case you are going with 300 GSM people, which is 25 percent cotton, it might not give you the exact effect which you absorbed. Secondly, there are different kinds of people available in the market. You can go with any kind of artist grade paper back with dark arches as one of the most expensive paper that is available in the market. And he gives the best effect. But having said that, I know as Wagner's, we do not want to spend so much hips. You can always go for coffee journals or handmade journals. Then you can even go for handmade paypal. Always know carton Paypal can be used on both sides. At the end of this, while we actually look into the conclusion part, I will show you how I have used both the sides of the paper for my paintings of his spring season. It was so important for me to use both the sides because I, myself as a teacher, know how expensive are these papers and using both the sides actually helps us to attain economies of scale. I might not like the painting which I have done on one of the sides and the next one I might like. So always, always it is important to keep a sketchbook. Sketchbook actually helps us to lose water science. If you do not have a sketchbook or a 100 percent cotton paper, use both the sides of cotton paper if you want, like on one of the sites that paintings use the other side and I'm pretty sure about it, that you will attain the economies of scale. I have linked talking through them. Well, now comes the fun part. Better equal P splattering. Colors. Take some color, are just pick up some color on your brush and then just tap it with the help of your finger and you will get these kind of splatters. I'm so happy to see it plus time they did with my yellow, then I did it with my forest green. Now I'm going ahead and doing it with my white. The whole of the painting actually looks so lively now. I am pretty happy with how it has turned out. And go ahead and add some more white lines. This is using the tip of your brush. I have my size six brush and it has got a beautiful and nice tip, which I am using to add the small, small lines. They look like some of the grasses and the bushes. It is basically a kind of highlight which you add King told them meadows. You can even ignore this check in case you do not have any kind of white quash available with you. Or arrows, go with your postal colors, post two colors also have that capacity. And that opacity really works well. Another option is to go ahead and use your white acrylic. Taught that's not the best option. And I would not suggest that much, but many of you have told me that have used took in the past and you were pretty happy about it. I have not used to it and I will not be in a position to actually see if that's a good option or not. Still, you can see and try because it is very, very less heat dome. So the amount we are using for the white quash. So I think still you can do it. Remove the tape at an angle and help a final look at your painting? Yes. We are done. 4. Bougainvillea Flowers: This is the second painting for today, and we are going to discuss all the colors which you need for completing the painting capacitors read palette then is of peach color or you can even go for print. So orange for OO, bond, sienna, red. When I came round, sap green, forestry, all these colors you might not use equally. Like for string can be re, well-prepared if you have sap green mix up some amount of Prussian blue in it and you can get a color close to it. So always so experiment with your colors, pick and choose your colors, mix your colors, and try to get the best out of it. You do not need to want all the colors on your palette. Just go with whatever is available and start painting. This spring inspired bougainvillea flowers. I would have loved to place this bougainvillea lesson as the first one. Because everyone loves to have or D by the garden or in the balcony where they can see the flowers blossoming. But the point is that this lesson was not a very simple one. And hence, I have pasted as the second lesson, as I always try to actually organize my lessons in an increasing order of difficulty. That's one of the reasons you can find it as the second one, but not the matter. I mean, you can go ahead and take this one as the first step. You want R0 so you can go ahead with the wildflower meadow and then at them, this one as the second one, I would always leave it up to you. We will start by painting a few of the branches of the bougainvillea flower and sit, then we will just start applying the water. It's an even coat of water on Whole Lotta place, there is no space which I will keep empty. There would be a swatch that is from top to bottom as well as from left to right. There is an even swatch. Only when you actually go ahead and do across swatch. What do I usually mean by crossmatch? You will go from top to bottom as well as longer have to right and bottom to top as well as from right to left. That's how you go about it. Now, these toddlers are very simple. Do not go with the name of the color. I would request you. This is the one most important aspect of the painting. Never think that you cannot paint based on the color pattern or based on the available brushes, based on the available people. Just go with the flow, give your mindset or break and think that, of course, I'm here to learn a particular technique or a year to just produce one of the paintings today. And that's all I'm loaning or not, you are to actually make a masterpiece. In the process, if you get a masterpiece, of course, you can take it home or place it on your wall, gift it to your friend, whatever you feel like you can do with it. Go with any pink color that is available with you, will not go by the name of the color. I'm using pencil and Newton, professional paint. You can even go ahead with the Cotman or you can go ahead with any other colors like Magellan mission, goal, or else if you have vanguard available with you, you can also go with senior leaders. I would say Anything that is available. Go ahead with that. I'm taking some yellow green on my brush and then I am applying it on the people. You can also go ahead and take this yellow green arrows. You can also go ahead with the Eulerian or sap green. Again, there is no hard and fast rule of applying any kind of paints on your people, go with whatever you like. It is. Absolutely lose that I'm applying. Today. The main motive of doing this painting is to let your creativity flow. There is no hard and fast rule of applying the colors in a particular pattern. We will go with a mix and match. Just not overdo any space and leave some white spaces. It would really make the painting look nice once you ended that, all would be my request goal with can you create a flow? Let your creative juices come out and just think that I need to go ahead and apply some colors randomly on a piece of paper. That's all, I would say this painting is all about. People even apply some sort for this area. And then you will see how I go ahead and apply my salt. Salt is a very good ingredient. I would say just the way it is for your cookie. It's in the same way. It's a very good ingredient for your painting. Yes guys. It might sound odd, but that's the truth. You will see how it works. I am applying some amount of darker shade of green. You can also mix some Prussian blue with your sap green, and you will get a green just the way you absorb on the paper right now, you are seeing a top-down approach. And that's one of the reason I would request you to watch the sludge on a bigger screen because green is always good. As you will get a clear view or poem applying my beliefs. I have covered most of the areas with different shade of green content. You will see some of the ideas are still there in white. So make sure that you also paint in a similar way. Of course, I have not defined any rules for your painting and that's what makes this painting more interesting. Go head with some amount of table salt and sprinkle it on the paper. You have to see it on a bigger screen to know exactly where I'm sprinkling, but you can always see my hand. And understand where the salt is falling. It's so very simple of course. Again, you will observe that there is only few areas where I have actually allowed my salt to concentrate more and rest of the areas I have left it. As is. Go ahead and start painting some branches in the areas which are already dried. Don't try to paint over the areas which are wet. You can, of course, paint a few of the areas which are wet. But again, you have to make sure that it's not too wet. If it is too wet, again, the column will become a balloon. It would not be a straight line, RPO, go V line. The way we want to get for our branches. I will very soon show you exactly how I am painting my branches through close up view, so do not worry. But in the meanwhile, you will see that we have started actually getting those effects of salt. And this has started looking more pretty and now it would not be a simple painting anymore. It would give you 30 quite effects and texture. Farther plants, branches, bushes. With that, you are also painting that really simple dots. One aspect which you need to always keep in mind while you paint. How to paint? Simple. Yes. Painting difficult, of course, is very easy choice. I would say it would take you Rs and it will actually not be the best thing to do if you are working or if you have lot of engagements on your RNA. If you have a family to look after. And that's where these kind of simple, easy as well as quick paintings come to our rescue. I didn't let my paper dry first. And then now I am going ahead and giving you a closer look of how I paint my branches. I go really slow with my eyes caught a size six brush. I have taken some Van Dyke brown on my palette. You can go with any other brown that is available with you. It can be or dark shade of any kind of brown, like red-brown part. It can be CPR, whatever is available on your palette. I always say this and I repeatedly continue saying that you don't need to buy any new supplies for any of the painting. If you are not getting a darker color mix some of your blue with your burnt sienna and you will get a dark brown kind of a mix which can be seriously used as Van Dyke brown or as a darker shade of brown. Redrafted purchasing Carlos force, try to mix and match what you have available on your palette. And they're normally go with any time of purchase. This easy technique to draw your branches originated from any darker place of cream which you see on the people. And then just make one, not two lines which are continuously adding onto that one single line of the branch. That's how you go about adding your branches. Few of the branches and the background which we added was when our watery mix of this whole painting was available. Or you can say you're, the paper was wet enough to actually add on for some of your paints. And that is your band Nike round for your branches and that's it. Go head and keeping your branches just make the branches more thinner as you progress towards the left side of the corner because our branches are originating from the right. And as you go towards the left, they would pick up thinner and smaller. More of the flowers will be seen though the flowers and again, loose and simple. And that's one of the reason I am not emphasizing much on how you paint your flowers. We are going to hide on some loose florals, but that loose florals again would be adding few drops and some of the brush strokes here and there. I'm not going to complicate the subject much because let's keep it simple. We have more complex IV coming up later. Do not worry. Again, I am your you can always go ahead and follow the instruction as well as see this painting much more in detail. If you really want to understand it more, I would request you to watch it at any speed of your choice initially and then go ahead and paint that. I usually do work for any of my classes which I take or any of the videos which I watch, that really helps me to understand and better. It's not that I do not take any of the classes. I also love to understand more about how to edit your videos, how to work on different aspects of other mediums. So, yes, there is no end to learning, as I see. It's important even for the teachers to keep learning. Take some carmine or you can say red-violet on your brush and start adding it as your bougainvillea flowers. Now this is a very simple low stroke. You will see I would be using more of the tip of my brush as well as apply some pressure and few of the areas. That's how we will go about it. I would even apply some of my violet. You can go for it any valid that is available, but you, either it be bright ballot or either it be any of the violet color that is available on your banner. There is no hard and fast rule of using any particular vendor or any of those colors. Whether flows start applying it in few of the areas where you see the pink as well as some of the green areas. Guess some of the green areas might not be in a position to actually reflect the Kahlo. So I tried to go ahead with the spacers which are already available in pink or you can say which are there in the light orange shade and have one ahead with or when suit on and you can go with cadmium orange or any other orange type is available on your palette in case there is no orange available, Just make some of your yellow with your red and you will get o symbol orange, more yellow will make it a lighter orange. Whereas if you go with the red shade more hands, it will become more darker and towards the red color compared to more of the orange or the light, permanent yellow kind of fishy. So I leave it up to you how you want to do it. I'm going ahead and I've picked up some of my bright violet color on my brush and started applying it on the paper. I am going just with a very simple and loose stroke is kept flying it and few off ADRs which guided or repaint and pink going over it. And some of the areas you will see will become like a blue because water, or you can say pink color is already there and hence, it is making even the bright violet color, blue over there. And some more branches if you want, as I'm going ahead and doing it right now, there is no hard and fast rule of adding branches. Just make sure that you're not overdoing at any place. That's still only thing which I would ask you to keep in mind. Pick some of your white quash honor, as SCADA size six brush. I'm using a size six brush because it has a nice step back. You can go head with any fine liner brush or any script liner brush. Orals, any kind of size one, size two, size 0 brush. For adding these kind of highlights onto your paper. Highlights look really beautiful while you keeping things. But again, it's up to you. If you have white quash available, you can use whitewash or else go ahead with any other color that is opaque in nature, like your post two colors. Or you can even go ahead with some of your Jelly Roll pen if you have data available with you. Yes, I'm giving you options what can be used for bad debt? Again, it is up to you what you want to use. So go with that. I always love to use the white quash by Winsor and Newton and I have been using it pretty regularly would then my reach for all of my printed because we have it available in India. I am not sure how much it is available in all the other countries. Hence, c, whatever is there and available. Go ahead, but that I am splattering some of my white quash on my paper. And you can even absorb those beautiful sort techniques in the background. That's why I say salt is big ingredient. Yes, add some amount of lavender color on your paper. Again, those strokes, there is no hard and fast rule of applying these colors. I have made it absolutely loosened simple for you guys. You don't need to think much. Just go with the flow. Let your creative juices flowing. As I always say. I hope you would be happy with the final outcome of this painting. Right now, I am at a stage where I feel that we are close to being done. This is the time you should absorb that. Do you really want to add a new more confidence like branches or leaves? Or you can say some of your flowers, loose flowers or first. Or you want to just handed now and not let your RP become more overcrowded. Um, yes. That's where I always say that you need to keep in mind that we are going ahead and not overdoing that any place. Let it dry. And if you want to pick up some color, just a wee I'm doing right now. Go ahead with a damp, clean brush and then pick up the colors from the alias which is not dried up completely. And then just remove the tape. I think you would be happy with the outcome that you observe. I am Malcolm Knowles flattening some of my violet onto the paper and you will even see that I go by the same colors which I have applied on the people for even sparkling, either at bay, the whitewash which I have fused or the collar and like my violet. So just to own these plateaus, those colors, and then add some small, small drops. Or you can see some small, small dots of the white goulash on to a few of the areas and hence, that's it. You are done. Again. I do not want to over do it anymore, so let it dry. Just step aside half a cup of coffee, come back to your painting and I'm pretty sure about it, you will fall in love with it. Then was one of the painting from my sketchbook exercise especially did not like at first and I just talked to step back, have my cup of coffee, come back to it. Even if I don't like it at that time, I would say have a look at it after a few days, a few like it then. Of course it was a good painting. It's just the mood that did not fit in on that particular day. Hence, you did not like that painting. Everything is viewable. So go ahead and remove the tape at an angle, as I have already told you. And then see this crisp and my sketches which you get with the one institute. 5. Tulip Fields: Let us go through, although things which we need for completing the painting, it is red, violet, revenue yellow, red, quinacridone, gold poeple going syringe bonds, CNR carmine, the Nike brand stopping and forest green. Let's start painting our du look like and stuff. Now traveling to a place in Europe where we have the tulip fields. And this is the top big thing that we're going to do for the spring season. Then next painting would be cavemen and it would be by Assad who are beach. So I think that these two are one of the most interesting paintings which I did. And I will just ask you to let off, go all your fears and just come and paint along with me. I can tell you this too, where one of the most beautiful outcomes we had. The first two. Thanks. Read more about how you can actually paint loose. And rather than not think much, go with the flow, like your creative juices flowing high. And that's what we ended with, two beautiful outcomes. Whereas when we go now, it would be a mortgagor painting and it will not take too again, more than 20 to 25 minutes or maximum 30 minutes. Use your hair dryer. If you want to just drive the sheet quickly in case you have less time. But I always say that natural drying is the best. First dry dough, just make a simple line in between your sheet and it is basically to mark your horizon. I'm going to make a very, very small window. It is very, very traditional and it is going to be a very, very simple one. Don't again, get into the complexity of robotic and make it really simple. Info cone kind of a nature on the top and just make it like a hat. And then make three lines. One on the left, one on the top, and one on the right. Again, they are all slanting. So go ahead and do that. We will leave a bit of a space between the two. You look fields, hang the windmill, which we have. So make sure that you have that space and then start making these lines which will actually converge to one single point. This point can be within your painting, as I always say, or to Spain, point can be even outside your painting. Usually the spline does known as the vanishing point and you can actually draw in the similar way, why are towards the bottom area making it big? Ticker and broader. Whereas when you are going to goods the site, you have to make it thinner and smaller. So that's how you go about that. I think that's it. And then go with a flat brush. This is three by four inch as SCADA flood brush and I'm using it for hiding my water onto my clouds. You can go head with any wash brush that is available with you. Once you have applied the water, just bad driver area where you will be painting the windmill and then start applying though. Winsor and Newton, French ultramarine. We start from the top of the sky idea and then we will go in an uneven manner, leaving some white spaces in between because I want to paint the sky with some darker values to water, these taco values. Now, this taco value will be on mics off your bonds, CNOT, Oregon, cobalt blue, along with some of any other shaped like Payne's gray and Something like that. Orals, you can even use only two shapes, like your cobalt blue as well as your blind CNO or your French ultramarine and some amount of glands CNR to get her darker mix and then apply it in though water laden clouds. So go ahead and keep applying this color of your Winsor and Newton, you can list, go ahead and apply some darker values like you're approaching. Know, while you want to watch the top area, once you reach the lower half, just tried to make it a bit lighter in value compared to what you have applied earlier. Keep on climbing the colors, and that's how you would actually painted this cloud. It is, again, obey symbolic size. Don't think much, just apply the colors and make one approach datas to leave some white spaces. That's it. Now it's time to actually paying to quarter laden clouds are together. Either you can go with Payne's gray or you can go with the mics off your raw sienna and ultramarine ROC. You can use your cobalt blue as well as burnt sienna to get this darker mix. I would leave it up to you how you want to get it. You can even use indigo plus months sienna to get a darker mix. There are many ways in which you can actually paint or you can actually get all real dark mix of the color and then added for the clouds. Go ahead and use it as a shadow as well as. Always apply towards the bottom area of the whitespaces. That's how to go about it. As well as in some of the areas while you reach towards the bottom. Just make a few brush strokes and then I think you would be done. It's a very slanting of brush stroke and we will apply some pressure. And we will apply some pressure and deliver as you go towards the bottom media, you have clots will become smaller compared to while you are towards the top area? I think that so I want to let you know in this part rest, you have to make sure that you're painting actually has God feeling of that water laden thing. Anything that is available with you, any lighter shade, go with that and add it. Once you have added it, and just make sure that the colors look a bit distinct from each other. And that would actually help us to show the spectators that VR actually portraying nature. And while you want to show nature or display nature is very important that you go with the roundedness. Some of the colors would be darker and shapes, some of the colors would be lighter and shade. It would not be even color. And hence I'm going with some of my yellow and then adding something. Do make sure that you can always go with any color that is available on your palate. You do not see ST need all the colors. That is 24 color which we have seen or you have seen me using. It's just that if you have more sheets, it becomes a bit more easier. Rather than mixing and matching the colors you can go ahead and apply directly. That's the only thing rest. You can always use your color wheel. You'd refer back to the colors and painted. That's absolutely fine. Taking some yellow, green or you can even take some sap green and apply it towards the bottom media. The bottom area needs to be bit more darker compared to what you have or D applied, which is more of a yellow. And hence, that's how we will create textures onto the background area. Yes, we are not going to create a lot of texture for the background, nor we're going to create a lot of texture for the foreground. It's just that we are going to keep it simple, easy, yet interesting. That's the whole idea. I have always told you that simple painting actually goes really long way compared to if you complicated the painting a lot maximum word you should try to focus on us completing a painting within 30 minutes during a day. That actually would help you to get a lot more understanding as well as it will give you a lot of confidence with a daily practice. I can actually tell you that with their daily practice, you will be in more of a position to understand watercolors, its properties, understand how it completely works, as well as develop really good habit of painting on a regular basis. Those are the things which are really important. Since we are painting tulip fields, Europeans are of many colors. And first you have going with a yellow, and that is when a meal. Then towards the top, I'm applying some amount of my yellow ocher or you can even go for raw sienna, whatever is available with you. Then I am going ahead with red. You can go for any other color of your choice. Absolutely. But the yellow, I love to place my red, then some carmine, then some red violet. That's how I go about it. Or some purple. You can pick and choose your colors as you want to place it by the scholar choice or this color choice of colors is my own idea and how I place the colors one after another as they really look beautiful to the eyes of the spectator. And hence some, I go with this particular color scheme. You can pick and choose your colors, as I have told you, because still loops are of many colors and you can of course, add on whatever you feel or the color scheme that you have available on your palette. You can use that. Use a mix of Arlen and then add some amount of bread. That's what I am going ahead and doing the doorway here, orals, you can also add one of your other colors, give you Harvard, that is quinacridone gold. Now many of us do not want this Kahlo. That's why I have given you another option of what you can go ahead with then and some amount of yellow towards the sides because that is far away from us and we will not be in a position to differentiate it. Once you have added the yellow towards the top left corner, just go ahead and add some more carmine towards the right-hand corner. So you will see that I am applying one after the colors and they are of the similar kind of color. You are placing Carmine, can I please suggest me the Bobo? And with the car mine, I placed the red. And with the red, I pleased though, yellow or the orange. And that's how you can also keep placing the colors that will give a really beautiful effect whenever you are actually observing it. Once you have completed the painting, you will of course, see how it works out. But just letting you know right now, while you are going towards the far right or towards the far left, Don't worry, go ahead and add any color of your choice as they will not be visible much all these fields. And now I'm going ahead and adding some of my Prussian blue into my sap green and you will get a dark green color like this. This is always a trick that you do not need to own up all the colors, mix and match your colors. Yes, they might not be full. Well, the trick is to use Igor and analog this color scheme, which is basically they are next to each other on the color wheel or else go with the complimentary colors. They are directly opposite to each other on the color wheel. That's how you can select, mix and match your colors. Those are the simple, small, small things which I would like to always tell you. While you think. This is only the green color which I am applying, which is a bit broader. Again, while we are towards the bottom of the paper. And as we go towards the top, it becomes thinner. Hence, go ahead with this and continue working with the colors that is darker green compared to what you did earlier where we were working with the lighter shades. Now since it is a field and we want to show the field, there will be lines. And how do you show those lines? Of course, with the help of your green color, which is in-between. Now since this is lose and we do not want to add a lot of, you can say textures. I'm just adding one or two dots here and there too, while we are towards the bottom area of the green color, That's it. I'm not going to do much. You can even add some amount of white if you want one or two. You can say splatters you are and their oral some amount of splatter on your read as well as on your bubble with the help of the freshwater. Again, that would create some texture. So that's it. Now I'm going ahead with our dark mix, or you can say with a darker green. And just painting one of the areas which is there with my windmill, as well as with the background bushes go hand painted. And I'm using the backside of my liner brush to add some small, small lines. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't work, It's absolutely okay. It depends upon the Sure. Or you can say the humidity of the paper. If you can displace your paints from the paper, that's absolutely fine with the back of your pressure. Few con, that's also okay. You do not need to do it always. You will see that I am adding some amount of splatters now with the help of my liner brush, what I usually do, I pick up the colors on my liner brush and then just dab it with my finger. That's one way of hiding this factors. You can also do it with the help of tapping it with another brush. I usually talk to you, these are just the ways you can do it. I'm really loving dog. Come see you see the stage at which it is right now. And you can only work on these green lines are you can see the green for the fields. When there is some amount of redness or humidity on your paper, don't keep on working. When you're humidity is no more there and the paper is completely dry, then you will not get the exact effects. While I am towards the top of the people, or you can say towards the top of the fields, near the horizon line. Now adding some amount of green lines. But again, they're very thin liner brush or you can use the tip of your size for our size six brush, whatever is available with you. Go ahead and add some splatters with your clean water. As I have told you earlier while you were towards the bottom, that would add texture to your foregrounds. And that's it. Then let's go ahead and pin 30 us to Octavia. Go ahead and add some darker values of the screen while your field of the tulip is touching the screen of the background area and make it more darker and value that would actually have to distinguish the field with the background area. That's how I do it and I put it that way. Again, I leave it up to you, how you walk around it. Then I'm blending it with the help of my blending brush with the background. Always know that it's important to blend your colors well, the better you can plan your colors, though, better would be your outcome. Go ahead and add some quinacridone gold onto your When middle area, though windmill area, of course will become lighter, buying it as two words there, right? And it would be darker while it is towards the left. You can also go ahead with your burnt sienna or raw sienna. Raw sienna will be something a bit more yellow or you can say close to yellow ocher. And I think some amount of burnt sienna towards the left will help you to make it darker and some of the light runs some of the ideas. That's how my outcome is right now, what you observe on the paper. Don't be in a rush to complete this painting. I'm telling you you will have a beautiful outcome once you've completed my only request to you guys. So while you do any watercolor painting is coastal, do not try to be in a hurry. If you go slow, you whooping a position to nail the painting status and nothing as such in terms of techniques or in terms of difficult painting that we are doing, we have to just be more observant and go head and keep on painting. That's it. Can't relax cookie, relax as well as feel that I do not need to complete the painting today itself. It can be completed in layers. If you do not have time, just complete half of it, come back to it and again, completed. I have really done this for many of my paintings and they have turned out really well. So don't worry about completing our bot thinking that all we need to finish this off today. It's for something like that. Whenever you have time, just take our 15, 20 minutes within two sessions, you will be in a position to finish this off. There will not be much of a difficulty. Time to add more details in the foreground and background, which means walking more wet on dry. So go ahead and do that canter details to your painting, which means being more grains to your background and some lines for your windmill. Do not worry, go ahead with your liner brush orals. You can also go ahead with your size one brush. If you were working with a bigger piece of paper for this painting, you can even go head with any other brush which is a bit bigger than this size two brush or size one brush size three, brush. The tip of that will be in a position to actually give you the effects are actually give you the details which I am right now telling you. I think that's how you keep working with 32 plot. And while we go towards the top of the windmill. I will make it a bit more lighter. Now, had this position, you will observe how I work with the tissue. The tissue is so handy when you are doing any kind of paintings. I always have wood visually available on my left hand. Wherever I come at a mistake, I just dab it off with. They have both my digital. It's practically a lifesaver to be frank. I am adding some amount of my Van Dyke brown to work, stepped up and then going ahead and adding quinacridone gold. You can always use your CML or your yellow ocher, whatever is available on your palate. Don't go with the colors, which I am saying. I will always give you an option as Fellowship. Or it might dip centroids, which I have been using for these number of years to get the required outcome. That's it. And I guess so we are close to being done. If you want now working on the painting, just row for any kind of details any further. Because incase you keep working on the painting now and you will actually lead to spoiling your painting. Yes. I always say this, that there is a time where you need to know that this painting is fairly complete and we are not going to add any further on it. I am adding some more lines where they have both my liner brush to show the windmill. And that's it. We will just add that and we're not going to do anything for her on this one. You need to also work it out in the similar way so that you do not end up working a lot more bad required by these tips and tricks will actually help you in all your future projects Seriously. Because I do whenever I learned, I learned mostly that what are the best practices that one of the other artist has been using, which can also help me to progress in my Journey. Journeys are always different as I see, but you can always reach the same destination with the head of the best practices which any of the other artists have been using till now. Go ahead and use your Jelly Roll pen that has some white to add any further highlights to your painting. Highlights is again, one thing which is up to you. You want to add that? Oh, you don't want to add it. I always say this, start dying. You do not need to do everything, or you do not need to follow everything or do or think. It's up to you what you want to take out of it and what you want to leave out the effect. I'm not really happy with the highlights. I'm, I'm might just end up blending and commitment background. That's absolutely okay. You can also do the same. Let's remove the tip at an angle and have a final look at our painting I'm pretty sure about advanced to remove the tape. You will be happy with the cross benches that we usually get and do make sure that you tape down your people really well, which I have already discussed. Initially. Taping down is very important aspect of your painting. If you can tape down your people well, you will get those crisp edges. Run your finger on top of the masking tape are you can see these washi tapes and then only start painting because you wanted to stick to the paper completely before you go ahead and start your painting. I can tell you that. Let's first focus on correctly this one, I am making a horizon line now. Now this horizon is about 30 to 35 percent of the people. And then I am making two straight lines and go with any kind of lines of your choice. Just place your subject on bit towards the left. We never put our subject just in the middle. That has always been the case. So goal with that slow and just make your subjects towards the middle of the painting. And then you are good to go. I am making a small window, as you see. It is towards the right. Hi, we'll make some window panes. My always main focus is to paint simple. If you know, if you are painting any difficult subjects like brooches or buildings, just to go with the approach that how you can actually simplify it rather than making it more complex. If you can simplify your subject, I can tell you it wouldn't be very easy for you to actually succeed in any kind of journey that you are having, either P or watercolor journey. Or if you are working with acrylics or you're working with any other medium. I think simplicity works really good. Yes, we are not working with realism, at least with watercolors. What we are trying to achieve is quick paintings and regular practice exercise, which can help us to half of satisfying soul. And the end of the day, we have done something for ourselves. Yes, we all are working and I do understand that there are a lot of responsibilities that you guys full for, but along with it, you should do something for yourself. And that something is what I'm talking about right now. Go ahead and apply some water to watch the top area of the sky and then do across swatch, always do across vast. That is very, very important. Crossmatch will help you to have all even blending of colors, which you will actually have a look at once you apply the colors. Now this is going to be this guy. Style is going to be, again, very simple where we will be adding some ultramarine. So go ahead, apply though Watteau and 10 are the sky color. So do go slow while you are adding the water because we want to protect our keep it from allowing the sky to get into Berkeley. When we do note one that you can also mask out your cable. That's again an option which you can go with. I always do that. Whenever I am doing a bit more complex painting them, this one, it becomes really easy in that case, if you're masking there, yeah, you can simply go ahead and apply this guy and whatever way you want to. So that's another way you can work it out. I'm just giving you ideas how it can be worked out. Now, I am going ahead and adding some amount of chromatin and tailor blue. So I'm making a mix soap opera mane and tail blue and having it go with a knee flaw of beings. And there is no particular way of adding your paints, keeps some white spaces. And that's all. As I say, keep that in mind and rest. Everything is absolutely fine. To not worry, go with the flow. Let your creative juices flowing. Understand that there is only one subject while you come towards the bottom of the sky, ADL, coal-based up clouds are lighter or you get saved, they become lighter in value compared to what you see towards the top area. That's the only thing you can go head and keep in mind that everything I think will work out. So now you can apply some more darker values of your crummy. Always go with lighter values while you are working towards the initial phase. Or you can see whenever you are building up any of the areas, whether it be sky, whether Pk, then whether it be any subject that you want to pick as normally scheduled, you can work on layers or you'll get deep into these colors. Hence, you actually have more control and that way compared to if you go ahead with a darker value at the first school, there is no way you can return back. And that's one important aspect in watercolors, which I have always realized. There is very less chance in which you can return back. So it's important to wait, watch, and then only applying our colors. It's not the important thing to always go very quickly or just understand everything on one single day forward. The girl is, it takes ages for you to understand a particular medium and that's perfectly fine. Don't think much about that, Ben, I'm going to master this or anything like that. Now let's just paint some shadows. I am using some amount of my Sort of orange and I'm mixing it with my blue, which I have on the ballot. You can use any blue of your choice. And once you start, you will get some darker values like this. Just add a few dark clouds and some Octavius. That's it. We are looking forward to. Once this is done, let your atria dry completely. Once your area is dry, go ahead and paint your waters. Yes. I want your paper to be completely dry orals, there will be quality floor effect, which means that the water will flow from your see towards the sky. And that is one thing we do not want. I have added some amount of pople in few places while we were towards the horizon for the sky area. You can also editorials just the window with the darker shades. I would leave that up to you. I'm using the cobalt turquoise from Winsor and Newton. You can either use this color oral so you can even go ahead with compost blue, biomaterial mission. Good. I'm giving you both options. You can use any option orals, even you get using turquoise color that is available with you. They'll class also looks equally beautiful. If you do not have any of these fellows, go ahead with cobalt blue, or yellow, blue, anything will work. I will add some darker values of the same color. How do I enter Doppelgangers just change in density while who are two words to horizon. And you can add more water while loop come towards the bottom area as well as so you can use Taylor turquoise. So that is another Kahlo which you get in your semilunars. It can be close to any other turquoise follow with any other brand. So you can always pick and choose your colors. What Apple is available with you in case you don't have these followers forehead with that, you should not worry much about colors that you are using. More important is that the districts techniques, how we are working wet on wet. Those are the important aspects of any painting. I'm going ahead and making some lines with my fellow turquoise. Towards the right and towards the left. I'm just extending it with the help of my compost blue orals if you have used or the other option that I've told you from my Winsor and Newton, you can go with that as new one. There are lot of options available in different brands of colors. Most of these colors are artists, Great. So it has been said and Newton, professional grade colors or rows. As I always say, student grade have got a lot of fillers in it because of which it is not very suitable when you are working or really want to develop something with watercolors or 12, understand what the colors better, the effects that you get is not great. And. That's really important when we are interested in something we should invest, of course, in the good paper at slowly, steadily in the good things. I always see this paints is the most important aspect. But along with it, I would say slowly, steadily start investing in good-quality offers great things. I will keep adding my bed and along with my car, mine and my red violet theta, two different colors for different name that you have some time. So it is called a scholar tread taken me 100 send different types of lead status available. So do go by whatever is available on your palette and mix and match the colors by mixing and matching is very important when you mix and match, what happens is that you are optic doesn't look flat anymore. Whenever you are adding more than two colors, it just becomes more pleasing to the eyes of the spectator. That's how you should walk around. I am going ahead and hiding some more off my red violet into the gaping area. And once that is done, I will let my paint strive for the red area, then go ahead and add the other colors for it though. Roof loft. Okay. When asked for last so I need to even think the window no, window is open window, which means that it doesn't have any window shield or window panes or anything like that. And hence, you can see this C as well as the clouds from me. So we have to paint it with the colors that we did use for this guy has well, as for the sea. Go ahead and use your brush to blend it with the background. Blending is all very good technique. I would say it can help you walk in many of your paintings. Even the smart technique which you will observe can actually help you to create a great outcome. So do not worry, go ahead hand blender too well with your background. You can use for a string, you can warped or daughters mix some amount of Prussian blue into your sap green and you can get a color which is closer to the forest creek, which you observe on the paper.
