1. Introduction: welcome to the second part of my spot on X and graphics in After Effects In the first part retreated an animation like that, and now in the second part will follow up with sparks like that, or like that. So if you would like to learn something cool in after effects and spend just a few minutes on it, please enroll in the class so we can have a lot of fun together, creating those action grab. I plan on making more short classes like that. We're in each place. We'll make another animation, so each time another X and graphics. So if you'd like to learn how to do it and have some fun and after effects by completing a nice simple product, please enrolled in the class and I'll see you inside. 2. TUTORIAL 1: Hello, everyone. Let's continue the work in Part two. So yesterday I'm calling this yesterday because I made it yesterday. We were creating an animation like that. Now we want to go a step forward and create a different animation with lines. So as before, we'll select composition and set a new composition. Now we'll cold is part two, and I'll go for a name like, for example, trim pats line because this will be the technique we'll be using in this animation. Full HD 30 frames, two seconds off duration. Let's make tree just to be completely sure that we have enough space to work with. And okay, this is our second composition. Again. I want to select a color scheme because I don't want to be consistent. I want each graphic to have its own color scheme, so I will once again run to color hunt that CEO, and I'll select a coloristic. As I was preparing for this recording, my wife was passing by and asked me what I will be working today. And she said, Oh, which nice colors and she selected this one, so I will have to go with this one. Let's assume it's really cool. Well, it is. This seems like a nice background, and this could be used for the coloristic. So I'll go ahead and select this color just by double clicking and pressing control. See, then they go back to aftereffect. I press command, If you are on the Mac or control, why two Great and you solid. And when you click on the color and just place the color in Okay, let's call it BG okay? And we can lock the background because we'll do nothing else with it. Let's start to create the line for this. We'll use the pento. The mental will be very powerful, and we'll create a simple stroke line if you want to make it easier on you. You can, for example, open up the title action safe and work along these lines or something like that. Or, for example, let's work here. Oh, sorry. I pressed in space, so I don't think here. Okay, exactly in the middle. And I'll press my shift key and make a line like that, depending on how long I want this burst to be okay. This line is pretty nice. Let's make the stroke about 15 pixels so it's a bit more visible and we see beautifully. The anchor point is already set here down. If the anchor point is not set here and you want to change that, please select the pen behind two or press why on your keyboard and select this anchor point to be on the bottom of the screen like that. If you have the shape, layer this press space, come closer, come closer and try to set the anchor point here. I don't have to do basically anything because I had it already there. All right. I don't need the title action safe anymore because we can start the real work. Once you have this little shape. Reppert, please open it up. Go to its contents to its shape. And I, for example, would like the stroke. Let me praise v Toby rounded here because it will look a victimizer. So you simply go to stroke and you can select the line cup. Currently it said to but cap, But I'll set toe round once. We already we can finally start the animation and this will be a lot of fun. And you can remember about this. Want to work on other aftereffects product. Click on your shape layer and press at Let me maybe close everything so we see more press ed and press trim. Path trim. Pat is an amazing feature because it can work with the pat, and, as you can see, it can end it. Close it and you can animate this so we'll work with start and the end. Go at the beginning and said to key frames at 0%. Now go forward. How long do we want to make this animation? We are going standard Lee by 10 frames, but I would recommend to going to 15 friends, for example, and make it 100% here. Now. The only thing we have to work here because now it's the percent are aligned, and we would see nothing. Just take the bottom one the end one and drag it along the time line. What this will create and memorial drag it the longer this line will be, because now what? What happens? The line starts to animate, and at this point their line starts to end. So the end will follow the start and we have a nice little animation like that. The line is a bit too short. I would like to lying to be a bit longer, so it has some more flavor into it and press space. Boom. Okay, now we have a very simple, boring animation what we always want to do. We want to make the animation nicer. If you are going for motion graphics like that, that's why you select right click key from assistant and you'll Eazy E's them or press F nine on your keyboard. Now this is the basic how it would look if we did nothing. But of course, we'll also follow to the graph editor and make it a bit nicer. You can select the key frames and go to the graph editor. And you might ask, Why do I always select the key frames? Because when I go to the graph editor, I still have to select them one more time. This is because if you select nothing aftereffect doesn't know, what do you want to do in the graph editor? If I go to Intergraph, it is our right now, the graph editor shows nothing. I'll have to select the properties which I want to address, so I will select the start, You see the first line appears and I'll press my shift key and also the end. You see now I have them both selected and they appear in the graph editor. I want you to define this information how you would like. But I would recommend to work with the last key frames. Look how this looks, the basic one boom. But if we address the last key frames and we dragged them to the left, the animation will happen quicker at the beginning, which we want. We want a through something like that. Sorry for my amazing sound effect. I would like to display to you how this would look. So at first we'll have a quick information, and then it will slowly go into this point. Let's privatise boom. Well, in my opinion, it's a bit too slow. So I was like, this key frame and this Kiefer let me try to set both key frames and I'll place them closer . If it's hard, let's go here and place them closer here. Boom. So we want it to be tuned a little more to the left. Now select the right ones. Sorry. The left ones and place them to the right. Okay. I'm making some mistakes because this is too big. Let me come closer. All right, Now I see everything and Boom, let's make it like that. Boom. Okay, the animation starts to look a bit better. I still want to adjust those ones to be a little stronger. Let's make them stronger. Oh, it is this one. Okay? Still stronger. Now we have a really need animation. It is quick, It is fluid. And for me, the line is a bit too long here. It shouldn't be as long. So as you remember, you select the bottom key frames the bottom key frames come a bit closer. Boom. Stick closer. This is the basis of the animation. Now we only have to make one adjustment, and this will be really cool. And you can remember it for the future. Imation's will create here currently with this animation and by the use it off trim. Pat, we were able to create an animation like that. We then went into the graph editor to adjust the animation to be more fluid and nicer. 40. I let me go into previewing mode like that. Okay. And now we can provide the animation as long we want. Thank you for your attention in the first tutorial and let continue to the 2nd 1 where we'll finish everything up. 3. TUTORIAL 2: Hello. Hello. I about myself before you at the second tutorial. Thank you for arriving here. At this point, you should have this animation. You should have the background prepared. And this little animation adjusted with trim pads and the graph editor. Now we'll go a step further. Click on your shape, layer and close up everything. Now, please click on, add and at the repeater. And this is the most amazing step you can imagine. Because the repeater is so powerful, it allows us to create copies than make the copies around here and make them all animated at once. So I'll hit on the copies. Let's make about eight or 10 or 12. This is the basis for this kind of animations. I will start out with eight. Okay, then I simply have to go to transform, and we will work with the repeater rotation. Off course. We also need to address the position. Let's make the position zero because we want everything to start from here and be rounded with the rotation. Now look how this works. You see, we now only have to create equal part, and we are ready. And there is an amazing trick to do this normally, what some people do, but this is not effective. You can click here press 3 60 divided by eight because we have eight copies. This would make equal spaces around here, but what's better? And it definitely will were better because we want to change the copies later. Hit the left old or option key. If you're on a Mac and hit on the stop. What in the rotation you see expressions have opened for the rotation property. Now I'll right here, 3 60 divided by and you don't need to know expressions or know what you're doing. It's very, very simple. You only press here 3 60 you will divide it. And by hitting this little snail, you'll connected to copies. I'll connected to copies. And now, no matter how many copies I have, it will always divided equally. So if I have 10 it will divided to 36 degrees. If I have eight, it'll automatically recorded as 45 degrees. Now, one last adjustment I want to teach you is to hit a key frame at copies, will not work with the copies. Don't get me wrong, but now I want to close everything, and I want to work with the key frames. You see, this is the initial circle burst we already have here prepared. I can now click on the shape layer, and I can press you on my keyboard and I don't have toe work where the copies were. I simply go to the first key frame, and I can change the copies here. Don't change them here because they will create a new key frame. Always go to the beginning were Disc Ephrem is and you can adjust the copies here and adjust the starting and animation. Now this is the animation with 22 copies. And if you want the basic eight copies, let's do it like that. Okay, at this point, you should have this animation preferred. Now we can finally have some fun and work with the cars. So let me call it Circle Burst one. I'll press control D. I'll place it a bit forward to see what happens, and I'll of course, process to make It may be smaller, maybe bigger. Let's see what happens. Okay, You have two different animations and what people are, So do they duplicated. They place it on the corners and you can do whatever you imagine. Let us select the colors. Now I'll select my second color. Maybe this one I'll go back to after effect and I'll hit the stroke. Color control V and Boom. Maybe I would make a sense. Don't. So I'll know that this is a different color and I'll also copied the sensible and I'll select fighter color. Okay, the third color. Waas Something different. Let's just simply make it brown. It doesn't really matter. I just want to change this stroke. And I changed the color So I know what's happening here. Okay, this brown one, it can be here. It should be. Let me select the brown one. Let me move it with the shift key. I press s I'll make it smaller and look what happens now. The bursts are very equal So I want some animation on it. Maybe I rotated by 50 degrees or 15 degrees. There should be enough now. Whatever change they imagine, I'll press you. I want, for example 12 copies here. I owned those key frames to be a bit different. Maybe the last key frames here. The last key frames here This a bit longer. I praise you. Hear things can be a bit quicker because it's smaller. Then I placed another one here. I displaced it a little bit. And let's preview the effect we have. I don't like this circle birth in the middle. It was the 2nd 1 So I'll press scale. I'll make it bigger and I make it later. Let's preview what this creates. Okay? And nice burst. And what's amazing here. Since we have this file from previous, I can, for example, select a circle. Now, this is ready circle. But these are simple circles here. I could eventually select the circle, go to parts to copy the circle here, place the circle in the middle and we could connect all animations. Now, I don't know if the coloristic will work, but you can always process open up the scale, make it bigger. Now you know why the scale is here going wrong? Because we have the anchor point in this point. And another useful trick is pressing control old and the home button. This will move the anchor point to the middle. Okay. Make it in the middle as like scale. The scale is a bit bigger. Boom, boom, boom. Okay, now I overdone it with the scale. It's too big, but you get the idea. And the nicest thing here is that I can always press you here as well, and I can make it a bid longer because this animation is too quick. Let me preview the entire animation. Now, I'm not focusing super much on the detail. I just try to make it all look nice. Let me maybe up to skate here. So we have animation like that. Then the stroke should be closer to the sandy color. Or maybe make it white. Make it like that. And let's preview what we currently have. A really nice animation. Maybe this big circle is too big. Sorry, I'm making so much adjustments, but you can see it with your own. I this one, it's a bit too big. Maybe should come later or earlier like that. Go No. And this is how you can freestyle with this animation and at some random elements to complete this circle motion. Now it's your turn to finalize this animation 4. Outro: let me show you the simplest way you can submit your ready product once you have the animation completed, for example, like in the first part, and you have the composition here. Ready you go to composition at to render queue. Once you are in the render queue, just select an a movie fight. For example, Quick time the information coded It's OK, Select OK and select where the file should be saved. Won't you render the file? Then you can import the file into Photoshopped. Simply go to file, say for Web. You can lower the size here and said the looping options to forever You have here some basic options. Just make sure that gift is fairly small. I'll go for 600 pixels because this is a amount that I know. The TRO graces well and then just clicking forever and saving the file. This ready gift file can be uploaded to skills her as a product file. I will really appreciate if you will go to your project and start the product. Simply upload a cover image and upload the gift you created. You can write a name here and you're ready to go. Just hit create. If you did like the class, please leave me a trump up. It's really simple. You just take here and select leave a review. Perhaps it also popped up here on the top. I will be really thankful if you could do this because positive reviews really motivate me to create more content for you. Thank you very much for participating in this part of the spot on Exxon Graphics in after effects. I hope else you in the next part See you then.
