About This Class

In this class I explain how to keep your spinning even and consistent not only within a skein, but from skein to skein as well if you are working on a larger project. Using this process, even different people can spin the same type of yarn! You will get a downloadable PDF to help you do this.

Melanie Smith

Sewing Pattern & Surface pattern designer

I am a sewing pattern and surface pattern designer. I've had four sewing patterns published in two issues of Stitch Magazine (Summer 2014 and the Unofficial Downton Abbey Sews Edition). Though my degrees are in Engineering, I've been sewing since I was 8 and knitting since I was 24. I regularly teach private sewing classes and summer sewing camps in the Austin, TX area, where I reside with my husband and 2 kids.
