Project Description

The perfect hook: Create a memorable song/melody for a TV spot

ASSIGNMENT

Using a creative brief, you will create a custom song/composition. We will go step by step, adding new elements along the way. For absolute beginners, I will supply the chord progression (found in the attached document below), and you can create your melody and lyrics (optional). I encourage you to upload your sketches to the project gallery as you go for feedback from our class!

DELIVERABLES

  • choose which direction of the brief and create a name for your track #1
  • create your chord progression/structure #2
  • create a melody, hook (and lyrics) for your track #3
  • add additional elements such as harmony, rhythm, orchestration #4
  • upload your completed audio track #5 (the final complete project)
