About This Class

Starting off with a simple sketch, we'll explore ways to create the base of the desk using weldments, a wood table top, learn how to use the sheet metal tool, and put it all together in an assembly. We'll then chose colors and materials, to render everything in Photoview360, creating a finished prototype of our desk or table. And, to finish it up, we'll create a drawing for manufacturing.

1. Intro: Hello. My name is Red Cross. Welcome to Salt Works Furniture design in this video series will be designing a table or a desk. We'll start the basic sketch to create a part, will create more parts which will put into an assembly, then materials to create a render of our final table or desk. We'll finish with a drawing that we could send off to manufacturing or just to share with our friends and family. 2. Making your first part - table top: Okay, let's get started for this via series will be using Starbucks 2015 because everything we do is pretty simple. There's no reason you couldn't use 2014 and even earlier. But for this view, hobbies In 2015 to get started, we'll go up to a medium. We'll click on new. This gives us the option of a new part assembly or drawing. We'll be touching in all of these, but right now we're just going to need a new part. You could see the novice version of this menu which doesn't have the part assembly and drawing. Um, and these three are the exact same is the three in the advanced. The difference is in the events uh, start. You could actually have custom templates that you might want to use. And we could talk about that a little bit later on. But for now, we're distinctly come part click, OK, and then we are here in our first, uh, part we're going to make over the future tree, which is generally the tab will use the most of these. This is we'll see how we're building our parts in that we have a front top and right plane A Z you could imagine front would be as if we're facing apart. Top is looking down on it and then our right is the right side of that. We're gonna start with the top plane. Click on that quick normal To which then brings that top plane to a straight on view for us as if we're looking from the sky down to the ground, We'll right click again. We're going to start a sketch. Usually most parts that will make in Celebrex will start the sketch. That's not always the case, but I find probably 99% of time. That would be the case. So we will start with the sketch ourselves because we'll be doing it. Tangle, er, tabletop. We're going to go up to the rectangle tool. You could click it that would start it right away, and you could choose your different type of tool to use. Or you could go up here and click the era. Now drop down and give you the same options. We'll start with a senator rectangle, which is really easy to use to start off our table top. You click right on the origin, which is this little double red hair here, Right in the middle of our object you could see. Click it. We get a little yellow relationship shows us that we're right on the words in there. We'll click it and we'll start to move our part out. Doesn't really matter where we click again. Um, but we can kind of get the general shape of how we like your table. Talk to look, we'll click there. I knew it. Hit check. We're done with that. You can also hit the X Kiki, which all. And I'm doing a lot. So if you see me use a tool and then I'm done with it. Hitting escape is the same as that little green arrow less. We could go to smart dimension here and start giving our dimensions for a tabletop. But I know that we're in metric. I'm gonna want to switch over to inches, so go up. Two options click on document properties because we'll be doing this specific justice document here. Go down to units. Click. I ps she is there and OK, now we go to smart dimension And if you click the arrow, you could see There's lots of different dimension tools you can use smart dimensions. Really nice, because that will determine what you are kind of figure out what you're trying to do and then pick the best dimension and tool for that. So I was, like, use a smart dimensions when I can. Now I get turned back on, We'll click this horizontal over here, we'll start to move it out. You see, we strong with five inches and a whole bunch of numbers. There. Excuses get pretty accurate on what you want. Attention to be. We're just draw for 30 and nice round number. Okay, Now click on the vertical and you can see that it was already given a particular size wielding click again. Change this 1 to 60. Okay, so there we have it. A 60 by 30 inch tabletop. So right now we have the sketch complete, but we're gonna have to give us some thickness to make it an actual part. So go over the features extrude This will give it concedes to give us, um, thickness could drag away. Appeared to be a big super block table. Talk. Maybe it's just a whole piece of wood cut to be a giant slab table toe, but we're actually just gonna do a one inch. So Goto left here will select here in the dimension of that clique. One tab. And there we have it. A one inch dick tabletop. Uh, lots of other options could go over, but I'm gonna try Just keep this fastest simplified and just talk about mainly the options that I'm using. Otherwise, I could spend several video. Siri's just talking about all the options that are available. Certainly you could always ask a question about something else, and I'll do my best to get back to you in the forums. About what? Some of the other things, how you use them. But they could be used for. But this case, we're going to blind, which means that it just be going one direction. You can actually switch the direction, Um, and one inch hit. Okay. And there we have it. There's our tabletop. We could build a multi body part. We could put a whole table top. I mean, our whole table in just this one part never legs. We can have a brand. We could have everything we need. Um, And that works for a lot of, uh, just if you want to get a quick pro type of something, just good idea what's gonna look like or there's lots of scenarios that would work. We're actually gonna build all the parts separate so we could put together simply, which is always kind of fun, because then we could do an exploded view of our table and split abuser. Always super cool. So now that we have a table top, we'll save it You to save to the desktop. I'm gonna call it my table top. It's safe. And there we go. Now we can move on to creating the legs. 3. Adding the table legs: Okay, so we have our table talk. Done. So now let's work on doing one of our table legs, go up and do a new part just like that Hit, okay. And for this will also go to the top plane normal to, and we'll start our sketch again. We're gonna use the rectangle tool with, uh, center click on that one right here on the origin. And we can kind of go out to kind of make it close to a square. Doesn't need to be exact, because we're gonna dimension that. We'll click right there. Let's grab smart dimension up here. We can see that we're still millimeters. So we need to do on that is go up to our options Document properties units and click for inches. Okay, there we go. Two inches. Click on again and we'll set this to to Exactly now, we could go over here and we could do a new dimension, and we'd have to buy two or whatever we want it. But I'm gonna escape. And, uh, something else that we could do is let's stop the dimension here. And we can slick this wars online and then control Click the vertical and brings up this little pop up menu here and over to the right. We have a make equal. So we'll click that. And now what we have in exactly two by two square. So from there we'll need to extrude this again. So features extrude and this would give us the height of our table. I'm going to choose 29. I already have one inch tabletop. So have overall 30. Um, you can decide if you want to do something. Maybe you want to do a really little coffee table. You could do 10 inch legs or whatever size you'd be interested in. 29 tab. Okay, Okay, there we go. Are 29 inch two by two table leg. Let's save that. We'll call that one my table leg. It's safe. Every girl. One more thing about as we're building this table. A good resource for that would be going Teoh, a website. Such a Zacchia. You can see that if you find one of their, for instance, the dying table or if you go to maybe you're interested in office furniture doing a desk, clicking on something, and though I should give you the dimensions on that. That there you can see right here we have some of the dimensions going further down. There's actually one of the Prock information we could see that we have. For instance, in this case, we have length of 61 by a width of 35 3/8 in the height of 2019 80. This is great because it can't gives an idea of what a dining table size might be. So also give you some ideas of the materials we're using and stuff you could add later on. As we do the assembly or in the drawings, you can even add some of this information for now. Great resource to kind of finding out some different dimensions. Let's go back to salt works. My table leg. Right here. Go Look, here we are. And next we'll start to put this all together 4. Making your first assembly - connecting the parts: Now that we've got the leg done, we're going to go forward to actually making assembly where we could put the legs in the tabletop together, we could go on and make the apron for the table and then start adding the parts together. But you'll see, actually, by a string with just the table top of legs, this will help us get some measurements when we're actually creating the apron. Four our table. So look up to new. We'll do an assembly, and okay, I know that will Wanna go options over here. Oops. Before we do that, let's get our sect are table top. And this is gonna put it if we go over here to the window, we can see this is gonna put our tabletop, uh, in the start of our assembly, we could actually just click and drop it, but something that's really, uh why has to do is without dropping anywhere. Go over him the check mark, and that'll actually sinner this table top in the center of the assembly so that the tables right plane will match up to the assembly's right plane. That'll help for when were placed in other items. It's usually Julie wise to kind of hit the check. Mark on apart. We want a place in there in order for it to be centered in the assembly. Now it's good options. Document units. Would you are inches again. Okay, You can actually set up a template for this. I'm not gonna do it right now because we don't have a lot of parts to make. But if you were doing inches all the time, that's words. Best to actually make a template that when he open it, it's already in inches and that'll save a lot of time, but having to go up every time Teoh set the units there. So here we have our tabletop. We're going to insert component. We're gonna find our leg. What can be that now? Doesn't really matter where we put it, because we're gonna use some mates to put together. What does drop that down there so we'll go up to mate. This gives us a huge variety of mates that we could dio not just are standard, but we advance mechanical. One with friends is to moving gears realistic with standard. We're going to stick with a really, uh, common one just that coincident. We'll click on the bottom of the table. We will click on the top, the table, leg and Walla. They're actually now connected. You can really see that because the table leg is a little bit of a distance from the table . So I click there, and if I'm gonna slide it under, you could see that the table leg is right there. I feel we're now going to do a Dimension one so I can click again. Cook England. This is automatically gonna want to do a coincidence, but I'm actually gonna want to do a measurement. And this is where I'm gonna enter. Two inches. I'm gonna go over here, click that base in that face again. I'm gonna do a measurement. I'm gonna do two inches and then I hit Check Mark to get other. And there we go. One table leg, two inches from either side, and it is stuck right there to the bottom of the table. Now we can actually, uh, insert more components. We can put mawr of these table legs in there, but something that's nice to do instead would be to go to a mere component. And we're gonna actually captured this view here. You can quickly go over. The different planes were going to use the front plane. We're gonna mere that table, leg, quick arrow to go. The next one that we can see it, you know his check. So there we go. We now have to table legs and again we can actually go to beer components. Now, we're gonna do the right plain, and we can actually then select both of these legs and there we go. Quickest. Could be. All four legs are on a table, and if you try and move, anything in the tabletop is automatically fixed after it There, fixed this table are table legs because they've been have all the mates needed to fix them in place. They also won't move anywhere. And at any time we want you could actually expand that many. You can see the mates that we created if you wanted to, you can actually double click on it. It will bring up shows us where the maid is there or we can that are gonna right click and hit edit feature. And that brings us into where we could actually change that dimension. If we wanted to, in case we wanted to do three inches from edges or whatever it kind of changes we wanted to make. There we have it. There is the start of our table. 5. Add the aprons: So now that we have our table legs on the table, we could take a couple of measurements that will help us make our table aprons. That's the reason I was gonna wait on making those until we had these all put together. So if you just click a face inside leg here, moving around using a middle quick and then hit control click of that one because you don't hear that's 52 inches you can also use to evaluate measure tool that shows 52 inches there as well. Escape. Click out of there. We'll take note of that and then we'll go take the measurement from this face over to the state's looking here. Got 22 inches. So taken. No to that. So that way we're making her apron. We can go up to new part. Okay, well, quickly change the units here to, and she's okay. And you get a red clean. If you click Sketch, you don't actually need to do the normal to be hit sketch after you sick the planes going to write to that plane. So it's face on a sinner rectangle at the origin measured here. We're gonna dio try maybe three C three inches tall. And I do the dimension of 3/4 inch on the horizontal extrude this case, I'm gonna dio mid plane, Which means it doesn't the as it sounds from the mid plane, you can kind of movie. You could see it moves out from that plane. So if we happen to do 22 inches in this case, that's gonna be 11 on each side for a total of 22. Okay, and there we go. So I'm going to save that. You see that as my table apron? I had that part there. That's okay. I'm gonna saving over Yes, place that looks like a Let me call it my table apron to so that problem. And now, instead of making another part of this, I can show you something where we actually go in. And, uh, I can use a configuration of this. So I'm gonna click and click again so I can change the name called 22 inch. Okay. Right click of the top to add a configuration. I'm gonna call this 1 52 inch. Okay, so then if I go back to the, uh, boss extrude and I do right click edit feature I could specifically see for this feature. I'd like it to be 52 inches. Okay, you go. So if I go back to configurations, if I click on Tony to you see, there's a small 52 there's a larger one which helps just have the one part in that way. Even if he had other sizes you wanted, you can add a bunch of configurations of all these German sizes, but really needed to for what we're working on. So go back to feature tree, you get control tab, and that gives the option of cycling. Between are open items or you can also go down to the salt works, but down below and final. Which one worked on this case on Do the simply there. So now I can answer component. I could grab that apron there. Looks like that's in the right configuration. Drop it right there. Then I want to go into component, and I'm gonna grab another one of these and I shall use why did turn it sideways, Drop it right there in this case, like, good to configure component. And I could just, uh, say okay, with that, but over 52 change into 22. Okay. And there we go. We have large and a small. Next, I'm going to start to position this, So I'm going to use the top here. Top of the table, Okay. Save for a small one. It's like in that face. No, I slept in that case appear. Okay, This case is this is where the mid plane really helps. I could actually just click this and have it slick that. Then go to this face over here. But something like to do in the case of something that's clearly centered in our part is go Teoh, the plains of the Assembly. In this case, the front plane Here is the 22 inch Hey, print. Expand. That and I looked to see, uh, what plane is gonna line with that front plane? In this case, you could see the right plane. See how they line up there. Right? And then I'll slit over it. Okay, there we go. So now that one is actually centered between the legs. I'll do the same for the longer. One in this case is going to write plain of the Assembly close that spanned the 52 inch one . In this case, it's gonna want to be the right plane here. Hit. Okay, slide down here. I can see investor to move it. It's constrained just the way they want. I could cite up to approximate where I want to put it. Now I'm gonna do, um, dimensions here. It's like them. Like that plane so you could have it flush. Eso it is coincident. Maybe you want that? You look in this case, I'm actually going to do a dimension of 0.5. Okay? Yeah, that looks good. Savor this one was like that face. It's like that face going to mention of 0.5. No hit. Okay, let's check to exit out of the mating future. And there we go. Now we really have what looks to be a table. But of course we're missing the other two sides of apron. That's easy to remedy. Under linear components, we go down to mere component. We'll choose the first start, the front plane. We're gonna mere this day print. You could do right, click right away. We can help us. Over here. There's one here. Choose airplane, which would be the right plane. The, uh, extra stuff going on there. Start over on that one again. That's to beer. We're gonna choose the right plane. There we go. And then now we will choose Are 22 inch one. Okay, there we go. Now we have complete table. Let's save it. And next, let's start adding some materials to that. 6. Add dimensions: So let's have some dimensions to our table. We'll go over to annotation smart dimension. Zoom in a little bit, and what we can do is we can either select the one side as such, or Fay escape that because it's like thes two opposite edges. He's of the same dimension. Could go case. Then we have 30 inches that way. What is quick? The one line dragon out 60 inches there and top the bottom of the leg? Because our overall height we might also want to add the distance between the legs, maybe even the dimension of the leg. Here on the right view, same thing you add to mention between. Then we can add the dimension for the leg. And let's do one more dimension just the height of the apron here, like that. And there we go 7. Adding holes for hardware: Okay, let's start adding some hardware to this. So I get a little bit more idea how this could be constructed A table like this. There's probably guzzling ways it could be made. We're gonna just take one method, which is not necessary, the best way to build it, but just, uh, kind of a way to show you some different techniques. I'm gonna imagine that we have some wood screws coming up through these aprons that will, uh, hold everything all the legs, everything to the top, and you'll see more that as we go along. So what we need to first to is right click on that apron. We're gonna open that part. Here we are. Is good too. I just a quickie. The isometric actually gonna go down to the bottom of it here. So I got normal, too. And I'm gonna make a whole wizard doing these counter boreholes for a number 10 screw. Slide down a bit further on the scroll here. You see, that's going to make a certain dimension of that opening you choose. Gonna do. Let's see the pan Cross said, be a good for us, and then the next click on position and you can see it starts already. Find the center of this based on or, you know, go out. Uh, maybe that far. For now, I'm also gonna put one here in the middle and then still in this, I'll go and do a center line type of the origin straight up. Then I actually having to click on this point. This point is gonna turn into a hole. You'll see how that works out. I will control Click the Centerline mirror entities that now I have bulls on either side. I will dimension these at Quicken. Both of them, my son. Delicious, too. 30 inches, even now that we have those dimensions. And of course, the one the middle list. Because it was right, then the origin already has. The I was fully defined right there. The relationships okay. And the zoom in there. You see that this is made holes all the way through with a little bit of the in boss there , which would then have our Haidar screw had a little bit. So you can also take a dimension from here to the top and you will see that we have 2.87 is our distance. It's probably like a 3.5 inch grew will be enough to go through all those into the tabletop . Great. Let's, uh, got our configuration 22 inch one. You'll see that in this case, we go back here. This is great out because we made this, uh, whole wizard was on the 52 inch. It's that specific to that one in this case will go. Same thing will go to the bottom. Normal to We're going to the hole, wizard. And everything should be the same from the last time you used it. Go to position. Uh uh Went out there will to center line in the middle Control Click Cityline after selecting the first hole there, mere entities, uh, use quickies. There s gives me a quickie to the dimension. They're just, like, lined up here would do It's like both points Grow up will make this one make it 12. Oops, 12. Here we go. Okay. And you can see in this movie now poster there. So it's safe. We will control Tab to get back to our table assembly. You can see now we have our holes. It's updated there and all aprons has we need. Great. Next thing we need do is we need to find some hardware to put in there. That one thing you can do is you can go over to the toolbox if it isn't open. And you close some of these and you tried to select it, it might give you something about Open this. Now, you said yes. You want to use the tool box now and then, Once you're there, you can decide what measurement system using, abusing, and the inch I'm gonna go into bolts and screws on then down. And here's a whole variety of options. For instance, using machine screw um and, uh, but different, uh, Pan cross head some different ones of pants lot. Have these ones work really good, but there's kind of a limited amount of that they have. The great thing about, um is that you can actually see, for instance, I can take this to the pan slide head. I can go over here. I go right to where the hole is. I guess it over to the flat part. Excuse me, and that's giving me this crew size of the left. Aiken. See, what length I want to do. The length I need is not available. But let me just do one. And just for the sake of showing, you can see that are already places that screw right where I need it. Okay? And it's gonna want, you know, one before that I was going to one. So Walla there's a screw in their other lengthy one. But I'm gonna talk about that in a second. Eso It's really fast it. Like I said, unfortunately, there's not a lot of options, specifically just not wood screws, and some other ones like that will be needing. But this is a really quick way to get screws in a part on assembly. If you need to. A Michigan a right click that one. I'm gonna delete it. Yes, and we don't need that now. Now there's some great resource is for a finding hardware and a big master car is a great one. So go back to my web. I'm already there. Uh, this is the home page. Go. Screws and bolts are gonna be looking for wood and slide down school down here toward get two screws for wood. Click on that one go down to, For instance, you could do stand steel brass. What? Everyone? I'm going to get a brass. I said we're doing a number 10 3.5 of the great. So click on the part. This is a great it gives this. 8. Save render: Okay, so the renders done. It took a little while. But that's because we do do the best setting for our final render. You can experiment with doing just a lower setting to get a kind of a basic feel for how it's gonna look when it renders it and you keep and go higher, you can increase the resolution. Esos definitely other things you can play with. But once we have our final render completed, we're going to see the image. I've got pictures back, Richard. I've already won. Rendered in there. Okay, just like that once already. Have it quick. Way of, uh, saving name you could do is a tiff format if you want to do it, Uh, for maybe edited photoshopped, I'm just gonna do a simple PNG here. Save it. Close the final render close the preview, and there we go. So now we're done with our render part of our video. Siri's of next. We're gonna put this into a drawing so we could give some dimensions to everything, do some call outs, and then we will be finished with the video. Siri's great. See you soon 9. Adding hardware: So here we are at McMaster car, which is a great resource for finding CAD models and just looking at all the variety of stuff that's available out there for manufacturing and put a typing. They just have so much stuff. It's just fun to look at their website and see what's out there. But for us, we need a model of a screw and as saying, This is a great resource for that. So well, I'm right here on the home page. Click and screws and bolts tapping. Now you can go down to actually where they have specifically wood screws. I would, but I know that with most of these there's no cat. It's just give you dims. You show you can how you order it like that. But I do know that up here at the sheet metal, screw the Philips one. It does have cat for these screws. And because these were very similar would screw. And just for our purposes, this is gonna work out. Great. Click on that. We're doing a number 10 3.5. It's gonna be, uh, what we could use because this little cad symbol there says that Yes, there is a cad model for this particular screw quick on that because next page where we see a drawing of that and over here, you see, this is solid works, and I can say that you download it. Here it is. Click on that. Just gonna actually open it up and sell it in. There it is. Look at that. Already modeled for us. And they have so many different parts on their website that, uh, they have cad models far for So this is great. I will control Tab, get back to my assembly, leaving that screw up in. And then what I'll do is I'll insert component. Here's the big master partner. Click on that every girl. You can see it bringing this crew and this is where the's This comes in handy when placing these so I can see that on the easy access I'd like toe move that around. Go there we go so that it takes a few times and then once you get, you can see that now it's in the right orientation. That took me more times. It's probably needed, but there it is. Has all these drawings showing that are in there from when they made the can model, Those kind of become a little annoyance. Second script, this little sunglass item I could hide drawing better now what we need to do as we need to meet this screw into that hole so made I'm gonna first click the inside of the screw whole clique. Just the edge one, these rings, One of any of the face in these rings will click that and that's going to give me the concentric what I want. Okay, so that's gonna have made it move right into the hole There. It looks like it kind of hit a little bit. It's like finding slide it down. You can see it. There it is. And then I'll click the face in the bottom of the cannon bore And then on the move my model around and get the Understand that when you click it again, Okay. And then what we see is our screw nice and tucked up inside that little holder Perfect. Did okay for mates or done. So we have one screw tasked our table. If we go to, uh, see let's get to front view. Well, go to the showing. Are hidden lines and you can see the zoom in the screw going in the wood up into the tabletop. Let's go back shaded view with lines. Now, what we need to do is we need to right click on this crew. We're gonna copy with mates and until left, we see little window opens up, which is showing us this is the, uh, part we're gonna copy. Click over. So see that it has a concentric made and it has the coincident me. And that's where we had the bottom of it. So we'll started from this one. And what we can do is we could go to the next one quick pat, click the bottom, and then do a right click on There it is. Go to the next one again. You start doing this really fast before you know it, you have all screws in there. Have those saying there's not two different ways you could build a table. And so this is just kind of one idea that gives us a chance to see some different ways. Teoh find hardware to put hardware in there and using a great resource like McMaster car. And there's certainly different ways. And that's something about looking at either place like Kia or just going to different furniture shops. And seeing how their stuff is built is a really good idea of some different ways. You can actually build a table or any furniture, for that matter. So we did all the screws in there. I'm gonna hit. Uh oh. This is something I've noticed. Kind of almost like a little bug was all works, hit. Okay to get out of it. Doesn't listen to work. Who hit the cancel and that is this other. But our screws were still what we wanted to be. And so that's that. We don't that that lasts. Ah. Next thing we're gonna add, it's gonna be 1/4 braces. The corner braces will hold the table legs to the apron so that the whole unit is what we're seeing that's being attached to the deal it up. So let's move on to that 10. Add corner brace: Okay, now that we got the screw holes in place and we screwed our aprons up to the tabletop, let's have the corner braces that will hold our table legs in place. I recreated a part that I found on half 11. You can see here is the part here. There's the actual one. Here's the dimensions of that part, which I used to recreate the part. The reason I had to do that. You can actually download the cat from their site. But I found that it didn't actually have a 90 degree angle, which made a little bit difficult on using the mates into our assembly. Here's an isometric view of it showing how it's connected to the apron table legs, and we're gonna put these notches in a swell exit that will go back to our model. And here is that part. I made this a sheet metal part. Uh, this is something that hopefully in ah, the next video series that I create, I could do a whole one about sheet metal parts, but for now, you can look over the future tree kind of get a basic idea how I created it. But for now, this will work for what we need to do. This Do control tab over to our table assembly. We'll go insert component. He's a corner brace. I'm gonna maybe rotate that a little bit. There we go. The reason I did that is that a matching attach? This part made it over here in this corner. So these two parts of abran or the actual UNM eared parts where these ones over here are the ones you can see are the beard components. Add materials and start first render: Okay, so it was done with getting the corner braces in place. Turned out to be a lot of work. Congratulations to gain through all that. Yes, we have a lot of parts. Now. We have all the hardware in there. Something that you can do is click on Frances, This top screw here and then shift. Click on the bottom. So you select all the hardware there. Right click. Good to add two new folder entitled This one Hard. Where? And then you could see these up here also are screws. It's like one track those down in the hardware now that cleans up everything a little bit so that our hardware is all in one place. These solar screws you could even drag in the corner based when we have into that as well. If you wanted to, that makes a little bit easier to start to organize everything so that you don't have, uh, this giant list of parts in your future tree. You can start to group things by, like, types or whatever categories you want to create. So now that we are finished with that, let's start adding some materials. We'll go over to, uh our appearance Seen and D Cows, which is one looks like a little colorful beach ball there. If you had another one selected, such as Celebrex Resource is just click on the beach ball, and now we are at our appearances, scenes and decals. Let's expand appearances. You see, we have a list of different kinds of materials. This case, um, this is would for the most part, um, we can't go. Teoh Woods kind of has its. It's a subcategory of organics will expand that first, and then we can expand when you have a whole variety of types of we can use. You can also use your own custom. Materials were not going to get into that in this video, but just know that you could actually find online. Resource is of image of a certain kind of whether you, like maybe like people, hard or subzero would, or something else. You can take a picture that down the J peg and then go through a process of making a custom material that you can add to your table. So let's do, um, let's to good old oak. You see, once we click up, we have a variety of options. Whether it's Polish, we have a satin, the unfinished whole right things. It's kind of fun just to grab the different ones. And kind of what we do is good. Drag it over. Dropping on. We're gonna choose the body some step doing the whole assembly, just the body of it. So once you drop it in, now you have your material on that piece of wood right there so you can kind of go through . And, you know, here's the posh in green one. See, that looks like that's that's pretty sure it looks like a A fingerprint. A little bit. We could go up a bit further. That's trends polished one here dropping. But it's really critical to comes to acrylic in plastics because the greater the render quality, the the better ability is to render the different layers of the acrylic. So if you have a bunch of acrylic stacked up, you need to have a better rendered quality to make sure you're seeing through all those different layers. Now I don't get into the whole reason behind that. That's something you could definite look up about doing, rendering see through materials. That's pretty fascinating of how that works.
