About This Class

In this class, I will teach you how to make these cute little snowmen, either standing on a base or as hanging decorations.

We will use quite basic supplies such as styrofoam balls, toothpicks and glitter and put them all together to make some winter magic. They look sweet displayed on a mantlepiece or hanging in a tree. And they make wonderful little gifts.

Styrofoam balls - two different sizes

A solid base such as a wooden alphabet block, wood slice or a container with styrofoam inside

Cocktail sticks or toothpicks

White glue

Glass jar with lid for glue and water mixture

Old paintbrush for applying the glue

White crepe paper

Waxed paper to put down on your work surface

Styrofaom or plastic food trays - handy for storing your works in progress

Decorating supplies

Gloss Mod Podge

Fine glitter - white or colour of your choice

White and orange acrylic craft paint (and black if you want to paint the eyes)

Glass eyes/ glass beads or dressmaking pins for the eyes

Black acrylic paint or black sharpie for the eyes

Little sparkly stickers/beads for buttons

Sparkly pipe cleaners or piece of decorative foliage to make a headpiece

Winter synthetic foliage/sprigs for the snowman to hold

A little piece of felt or fabric for a scarf or you can knit one!

Waxed paper to put down on your work surface

Pliers/wire cutters

Darning needle to make holes in the styrofoam balls or you can use a toothpick

A drill with a small bit or an awl to make holes in the base piece to insert the snowman's feet
