About This Class

If you love the look of those wide headbands from the 1950's and 60's, but have a hard time finding one that truly fits, then this class is for you! You will learn to make a simple fabric headband that is shaped to fit the curve of your head in all dimensions and is held on with an ordinary hair elastic. Fabric requirements are minimal (this is a great scrap busting project) but the fashion impact is maximal!

Cute idea!! I wear headbands a lot and they can be so expensive.

Sewing Pattern & Surface pattern designer

I am a sewing pattern and surface pattern designer. I've had four sewing patterns published in two issues of Stitch Magazine (Summer 2014 and the Unofficial Downton Abbey Sews Edition). Though my degrees are in Engineering, I've been sewing since I was 8 and knitting since I was 24. I regularly teach private sewing classes and summer sewing camps in the Austin, TX area, where I reside with my husband and 2 kids.
