Project Description

Note: We encourage you to use the Community Board in this class to ask questions, and share tips and feedback, but we kindly ask that you refrain from using it as a space to promote your classes with a referral or free link.

Your assignment is to teach your first Skillshare class! You’ll start by designing your class, which includes deciding what you’ll teach, crafting an engaging class project for your students, and outlining your video lessons. From there, you’ll move into filming your class using the tips and tools we’ll provide along the way. Finally, you’ll polish your class with a few easy merchandising tips and publish it to Skillshare. The full process typically takes 3-4 weeks.

Get started by creating your class draft at

Since your class draft is only visible to you and the Skillshare team, you’ll share your class progress in the Project Gallery above for feedback from the class community. Here’s what to upload as you go through the steps of creating your class:

  • Class title and description
  • Project title and description
  • A link to your video lesson outline
  • Your introduction video
  • A link to your final published class

Once you've published, take our quick class on marketing to learn how to enroll students and start earning revenue on Skillshare!
