In this class, you will find videos with scales to practice to improve your voice way are going to address advanced techniques and singing with simple examples and exercises. You will get to know new techniques to expand your vocal range, working on coordination and support. At the end of this class, you will create awareness of the Moscow system involved in the support of your voice. You will get to know techniques to expand your vocal range and work in coordination and support, so let's get started. 2. Why you Shouldn't Sing with your Diaphragm?: why you shouldn't seeing with your diaphragm. I know that there is a lot of information that tells you that you should seeing with your diaphragm in northern to sing very well. Well, that's not 100% decorated. Why first of fall? Because your voice is not produced in your diaphragm. Your voice, as we learned, is produced in your learnings. Where your vocal cords are here is where you produce your voice. And of course, we know that in order to produce your voice, we need here and these areas produced in your lungs. And the process of inhalation and exhalation is directly linked with your diaphragm off course. Indeed, that's the way it works. But to sing well, you don't need to control your diaphragm. And why? Because you cannot control your diaphragm as we learn. The diaphragm is that kind Off muscle is not exactly a muscle, but these parties kind of muscle is on. Voluntary is your diaphragm cannot be controlled by yourself, your mind by your brain off course, this passively controlled by your brain off course. But you cannot control your diaphragm by your that's what you can control is the muscles involved in the process off X elation, which at the same time is the process off support of the voice and off course. As we know, the voice is produced when we exhale. What we need to control is the process off the X elation. How delaying this process. So what we're going to do is to expand extended time off X elation and how with your muscles. So you have to be very conscious off your body and your muscles involved in the process of X elation and inhalation, of course, and to learn how to control it and off course is going to help very much toe workout your body and to exercise your abs off course, it's going to help you. Why? Because you're going to feel it. You're going to feel which muscles are involved. But besides that, you can practice EC successes related with singing that will help you to feel how it works , your abdominal muscles. And, of course, when we told, we don't need the same amount off here than when we sink. And for that, either we don't need to have or to accomplish are extremely long phrase. We don't need toe storage, a lot off air in our lungs in order to sing well. But what we need is to learn how to manage a year. That's our goal. It's not to have the longest praise in the longest capacity off there. We just need as we talked before. The exact amount will commit more. We don't need less. We just need to learn how to control it and how to manage it more than control. The problem. We try to learn how to sing with your diaphragm and how to control your diaphragm is that it can create a lot of confusion, right, because you are thinking Onley in your diaphragm and it's something that you cannot achieve physically is impossible. You cannot. The next time that someone tells you you have to sing from your diaphragm, just be a skeptical. You don't need to learn how to control your diaphragm because is going to be impossible. Instead, you can try to learn how to control the muscles involved in the process, off support for involved in the process, off exploration. That's all you need to know. I know that is very hard to sing. Singing is one of the most complicated things in the world, I think because you cannot see inside a few, you are the instrument and the instrument can controls you if you're not aware of many things. So I know that to develop a good technique is very difficult can be very, very difficult. So we have to try to simplify it. We have toe, learn toe, sing with our natural resources and to learn to manage them and toe make them more effective. That's what we need to learn, and you're good to learn it here. 3. The great Abdominis!: we've been talking that it's impossible to control our diaphragm and that the only thing that we can do is to learn to control the muscles involved in the support process. Right? One of the most in Borden muscles in our abs is the abdominals directors. The abdominal rectors is these long muscle that starts from your pelvis and goes all the way. Your abs, you can identify it. It's very easy. Well, this is one of the most important muscles to help to feel and support the voice. This is what we're going toe feel in, try to exercise off course. All the muscles are very helpful to create the feeling off border and toe support the voice . That's our goal. But this tool is like kind of easy toe feel. It's kind of easier toe identify. And is that one that we use when we constantly laugh? No. When we laugh, that's the pair of muscles home moves, so you can feel it very easily. We talk about this in a previous video, and the video of support Go there and watch it are again. This is like the genesis off the feeling of the approach 4. Preparation Posture to Support: there is a posture for prepare your support your and it's very easy way. Need this to create the expansion off our diaphragm direct, so we need to create space. Then we have to find a posture that helps us to give more space to your Dia friends. Reeves air going toe be more open and therefore your diaphragm is going to be more expanded with more space. When you prepare and before start to sing, your stern is lead a bit up without doing these bright, not exaggerating without exaggeration, and then you're sternness a little bit up. Then everything changed every change. You go there and then you start to seeing and voila! Your beautiful voice start and at the same time is helping to give more in space and open more your rapes. Therefore, your diaphragm has mawr more space, and it's gonna be have better on optimal position for your support for a poacher. That's our goal 5. Hummm & Support: this exercise is excellent toe. Create awareness off the porch or support and identify the contact with our muscles where we think. And it's of course, very see. So let's start. So we're going to close our mouths and we're going to pronounce from. And now we're going toe dough, a serious off thes fast. Now let's have a pattern or 5432 and one. You can off course, do another serious off, maybe 10 stop and then do another Siri's. You have to be very conscious and really create awareness off the movement off the abdominals. Directors, that's the goal of thes exercise. Never create tension. Try toe. Always do it in a very relaxed way. We don't want toe create tension in our body. We have to avoid absolutely that for from us. This is just exactly like when you're laughing, as I told you, Laugh East, like the genesis or the blossom off the spark off. Singing and support is a tool that we can bring from nature from the nature of her body and use it toe, learn how toe toe sink 6. Renewing your Air!: this very simple exercises very useful because it helps us to release the tension in the glories. And at the same time, it helps toe the automatic renew off the air and the exercises justice only, adding, That's all the important off these exercises that every time that we do this movement or like panting. If you realize you are not thinking about taking breath again, the renewal off the year is automatic. You don't have to think. Okay, I paint now. No, I breathe. No, this happens automatically. What we have to do is to leave this process naturally. I'm not thinking that, OK, now it's time to breathe again. My body is doing that by itself. I don't need that. So that's why it's very important to understand before basically anything that the most important part we have toe manage would be, um, noble, more humble and easier worth toe. Put it on because when we say control, when we say anything that it creates the thought off off, controlling, going against something well, it can agree it can creates tension. So let's just think about just let it free realize that you don't need to do so many things . The renewal of the year comes automatically practice and practice and practice, and you will see how you're going to control the muscles who are involved. And he's going to be more easy. Rather than try to control something that you cannot control, try to come trying to control your diaphragm, that that's basically impossible. 7. Creating Awareness of your Muscles: Now we understand with these simple excesses with this simple Mm hm. Huh? Huh? How does it feels and how to start toe a create awareness off our after ministry actors, or in all our muscular system in our body? Now let's add a little variation. We're going to do this in a comfortable page. We're going to pronounce as well whom. But this time you're going to follow this notes. That's too way have to recreate the feeling off, panting this part. You can even try to do this movement of planting before toe. Be very conscious off. How does it feel? Ah, and of course, this exercise is great because it helps us us well, toe, Feel the residents in your in your head. Now do it yourself Very good. Practice these again and again and again and you will see that very slowly, slowly you're going to be able to create a very good and solid technique. Remember, the most important thing is to learn and to understand and were Never underestimate the power off your breathe the power off the year singing is not Onley here singing is no Onley . Your voice is the year you need to understand that you need toe practice, that you need to develop it because without air there is nothing. It's like the life itself. 8. Staccato: Hello. Welcome back. An excellent way to increase your vocal range is to practice the cattle. Steak upto literally means detached or separated in the musical language issues toe point out that one not must be separated from the others and that it must be accentuated. This technique is very useful for several reasons, and it helps us to improve how we manage our diaphragm in release. Tension at the same time is perfect to extend their vocal range, bridging higher notes and as well. It helps us to identify where this high notes resonates in our head, working together with the movement of the diaphragm and helps us to track the movement of the muscles in your neck. And how is behaving your leg rings and see if you're creating tension. It helps associate to like in the voice while we're connecting the air. This is an excellent exercise, and now let's find out how to do it. Do you? The next video 9. STACCATO exercise: Hello. Welcome back in this city. We're going to learn how to do this. As we said, thesis exercise is going to help us to embrace all over range. And it's going to help us toe discover how our frat works and subordinate bulls your sound , your diaphragm and how to do it. First of all we have really practice is some exercise since with our from now I feel the beginning off the feeling of how toe stuck out. It's a simple movement in our diaphragm, but But they friend is muscle almost. I'm voluntariness. It means that you don't control how toe or it moves by itself. It's naturally moving, but you can practice, and in some point you can control it. So now remember him dull. You remember how that makes this? That's what we want. Is this movement off that you can see how it feels and how it works? Is Berries Okay? You got it right. You know now how it feels now what we're going to do is to start toe make second. As we said, this means that all the nose must be separated and detached. Okay, so let's start making generate sound Okay, try it. Oh, and when you do it at the same time, feel how your friend miss working. Oh, and all your muscles working here? No, it is like a laugh. He's like, when you're not just like that Exactly. It's it works. My muscles are working. Still just visible any notes? Oh, and though way is to raise right in this sense, I feel more comfortable. I feel free. I feel that I'm not making any effort. You can see no way easy Just tried toe Make the things that you done in your daily life men , for example, when you were Oh, that's easy At the same time what I feel when I'm doing stuck upto he's that the is that the notes are vibrating in my bones in my head, right? That's what we want. We want to feel the resignation and in our head in this part, when you try to keep your jaw free, you don't need toe move so much. You don't need to rich anything. Okay? The notes are always in the same level. You don't have to read something or try to reach something in up in the staff. That's a trait that really works. Because as we talk every time we we drop your jaw, it recreates the feeling of learning. And then everything is open and free and prepare for start seeing. And remember again, this is very important. The way of taking here is just open. Nothing else. This is the movement of my belly. How I get inside here way, Theo. So keep working and see in the next sex of size. 10. Variation for Staccato Exercise!: another excellent exercise for staccato, and it helps us to connect the movement of the firm with the head voice and Rich Higher knows is this. It's very funny, but every works but goodness of the tournament they'd ask for who right? And what is going to help us is to connect the lower Jason with the highest registered we have to work in check what is happening in this part of our 1,000,000,000. This part with our died front because we're going to connect the lowest knows with the highest. Okay, so the first work is a fool Who is the fool? OK, so it's gonna be like jumping for who still a bit like a job. Who? Hoo hoo! Oh, boo boo and you'll see how your diaphragm is going to work. It's going to be very strong. You know your muscles, you gonna have a six pack, Theo. So it helps to put a let's try this again. The sound your nose in the bones off your face and your head. That's what we want, how to do it. This this always your diaphragm. You have to remember all the time, this movement, and with that it's gonna be very very. I can assure you my recommendation is always, always always. Bill. That is your releasing your release. Intention. This is that we have to learn to think in tow practice every time I see in the next sex of sense. 11. Legato: Licato is ability to sing a sound in line without being interrupted. Lo Gatto means literally to be linked, connecting the links of a chain without any space between them. But legato is made from some important elements in singing like control and management of the year and the position relaxation off the job and the tongue. The base off legato is undoubtedly a good understanding off breathing. The air pressure must be balance without giving a stream work to the vocal courts. Not too much breathe in other to keep us more than round it. Some. We have to be very careful with year management. We don't need to have a lot off here, but what we need is to know how to control it. And the answer for that relies on how we hold the year with our muscles. It sounds logical thing that we have to leave space to let the sound passage through the instrument without interruption. And that is why our Joe Antone have a very important role producing the voice. The job must be slightly drop downwards, hanging down and slightly back, just like when we want to sleep like this, the tongue should never be flat, touching the tip of your tongue slightly in your teeth and the back of the tongue must be relaxed, never flat. The neck must be a lying to your spine that includes the job. This should never go forward. This creates tension or vocal courts, producing the sound in a very inefficient, an unhealthy way. Breaking the line off Licato. Let's make a noose example. Imagine that you're chewing but softly, the movement off your jaw. She'll recreate the movement of chewing small tree just like this. What we want is to create a gentle movement of her job, and this is going to give us the balance that would need not only to develop a great leg Otto, but to create a strong and healthy technique. So next time you see any singer taking forward their head in there, Joe in this position, just remember that probably is not a demonstration of passion while she or he is singing, but actually it's a kind of unhealthy the demonstration off tension in their vocal cords, and we really don't need that. I recommended to watch the video about support and follow the breathing exercises, so practice and observed her body and see you in the next devious 12. Exercising Legato : a Now it's time to work on Nagato and toe work with Lega. So we're going to use our staccato skills. Yes, I know that it sounds kind off crazy somehow because you know that staccato means that you have tow, detach every single note, every single sound that that cannot be in the role and off course. Licato means that we have toe link every single note. But how we're going to use our stuck up the skills because we are going to use the same likely feeling slightly movement that we do when we creators in the abdominal muscles more precisely in the abdominal directors. So we're going to feel basically the same in pulls off the staccato to each leg. Let's toe way have to feel the same feeling that the air is renewing every time. Oh, Uh huh Oh, uh oh. You can practice the staccato in the leg with the other scales that you have and you can combine it. You can make a lot of combinations with your scales. That's why they are there, because you can prove and try okay with vowels that are good for you or according with what you want toe work in What would you like to achieve or what would you like to improve? So feel free to use these scales with cash ins with very careful Remember, never, never, never extend your limits. If it's too high for you, please don't do it. Don't overwork and make the combinations that you need to work on it. So keep practice and keep being aware off your body and how to use it. Four. Singing. 13. Working on Agility!: now as well to practice and start to increase our vocal range, we're going to use this. If the sexes says for agility a swell, you can do it with a cap toe and you can do it llegado, or you can practice both in practice with the scale. Be very conscious. Very careful off how you practice. It fits too high. Don't do it or do it until the moment that you can. If you cannot do it in these very movement. If you think that now is very difficult for you, don't try it. You don't need to hurry up. You will do it. I'm sure you will do it, but that's where else. I told you. You need time, toe, toe, evil toe, even love your skills. So just do it and enjoy the process. And so see you in the next, followed example in the video and keep practicing with the scale way. Theo 14. The Big Arpeggio.: the next exercise is going to help us to extend our vocal range, and we can do it in two ways. We can do it with staccato, and we can do with us well. With Liggett following the same basic idea off feeling with your abdominal muscles, Teoh. Or you could do us well with no practice with the scales and see you in the next example in the video and keep practicing with the scale. If you feel it's too high paged, Stop and don't force your voice way , way things. 15. How to Really Improve your Voice?: These are my humble, honest and solemn promises to change and transform your voice. Well, I know that there is a lot off places that are offering you to learn in three weeks to learn in 30 days, whatever a sort off things that are telling you that they have the key to make you sing in such a short amount of time. And I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I don't believe that there is anything in the world that is going to make you sing in 30 days. Well, first of fall is very easy to sing in the way that if you have a voice, you can speak Yes is really like that. You are going to sing like in any other field. Some voices are more beautiful. Some voices are more talented, more gifted and some others less. But it doesn't mean that because you don't have the most beautiful boys in the world. It doesn't mean that you cannot accomplish what you really want to accomplish. I cannot say to anybody that you know you cannot sing singing. It's not for you. No way. I don't think that anybody has the right to say these things to anybody. And I'm sure that the talent is not the only thing that you need toe sing very good or to play any instrumental or to be successful in anything in your life. But I have to say that on Lee, with patients and constant work with passion. And we really, really conscious. This plane is the only way that you are going to reach your goals. We leave in a moment off our lives and globally that we want everything fast. We want toe get the fast food toe our house. We we cannot wait now two seconds. When when something is not done lording in two seconds. Now this is like my gosh is Oh my God, this is so slow. And now we leave in the moment. We want everything very fast and furious, but really to do something good unit time. Rome wasn't field in one day or in 30 days. I'm not saying that these people who promise you that you're gonna be a better singer in 30 days on in two weeks or in one day. I'm not going to say that they are bad. No, but I'm going to say that is not exactly 100% accurate because nothing in this world was built in in such a small amount of off time. I know that this kind off off resource is are going toe, get something from you that is, that made it immediate feeling toe. Have something. Yeah, I want to improve in 30 days. I'm going to be the best singer. Well, I'm not a great at a thing that that's possible. I'm sure that that's not possible. You can have a beautiful boys, amazingly beautiful boats. But what do you want? Would you like to have something that is long lasting or something that is in 30 days and then lack off off off basis, that it's going to give you a shorter career? Think about it. We have to think about long term. We don't have to the thing and immediate satisfaction because it's just fast satisfaction that doesn't last forever can be useful. I'm not saying that is not. It cannot be useful, but you cannot claim toe transform a voice or anything in 30 in four weeks in three weeks. This is, of course, a marketing strategy, and it's valid, absolutely valid, but when you think about that voice is something that you cannot get back if you break it. So you have to find the band's about this. But I promise you that when you try something very hard and you put a lot of effort in something, eventually, you always always have something in return. When you do it with the heart and when you do it conscious. So affiliate. What did you prepare? Uh, short, fast and furious solution or a long and steady way? I think that it's worth it to have a long, steady path, but very, very secure.
