1. Introduction: Hello. My name is Sisi, and I'm a watercolor artists in Hong Kong. In this series of lesson, I'm gonna show you how to paying birds in a minimalist style. My favorite painting subjects are animals and lowers paying a lot off animal portrait. It's I also like to pay in the misty and atmospheric style that I believe every painting has the story behind. Uh, I have exhibitions around the world. I met a lot of water. Fellow artists. I traveled to many places giving demonstrations and west shops. Today I was share with you the process of this painting. So let's get started to my class. 2. Basic tools: Let's have a look on the basic Jews. There are three different kinds of water fell a paper hot press co prez and gruff. And this painting we were used a medium one that isco press indifferent brand of paper that touched her might be different even by single sheet of paper. Or what's a condom broke on the brushes, where we use once more round brush sites about number two and a bigger one about number 6 to 7. It is very important that the brushes must have good assumption of water. I prefer using really hairbrushes, then synthetic brushes for what a color pains. There are many different brand. Any of them will be vying in this lesson. We were only used one single color that is Payne's gray from hope in water color. 3. Basic Techniques: nice start to have some basic technique. The small brush can handle very small and alec a stroke like thoughts as we're painting the eyes of the births, which is very small, so this small brush is very useful. It can pay very narrow lines, very tiny dots and also bold strokes. Dry brush on dry paper believe very coarse and rough effect way. Have more pain on the brush. Color will become darker and solid. If we pressed on the brush, stroke will become wider, so the dry brush technique will lead to difference. Vivax depends on how much to paying on the brush and how used to brush. Mostly, when we paint a tale of the bird, we will use a rather dry brush with a little paint. One very important point is the speed off the stroke. The fastest stroke is better than a slower. The favor, like patterns can be created by what on what? After wetting the surface off the paper wait and made Italy drop the pain on it. Another method is to wet border off pain after a dry brush. Oh, 4. Painting Process: in this several minutes we're finished. A crowd waken Search some reference photos from the Internet and pick the one you like. Remember, this is a minimalist style. This is to paint a sense off the subject So we do not go into their structural details. I did not use the pencil sketch, but beginners may have a very light pencil sketching off the shape of the bird crosses start with the eyes off the birth then slightly marked the position of the big and the top off the head way Follow the shape of the head off the bird. Then he used less pain on its body. Used the wet on wet technique to create some patterns on it Tail were using the dry brush technique when finishing the body way would draw the big last day. We're paying ithe Remember toe live a very tiny white space Where the highlight off the I minimo this style We was simplified. Claw off the bird. - Are you satisfied with your painting? I blow your work and share with me. If you have any questions, you are welcome to send me a message Any time. I hope you enjoy the class. See you next time. Bye bye
