Project Description

Stack'em up! Make your own set of beautifully textured stacking rings

By the end of the class you will have made your own set of stacking rings from sterling silver wire.

33884d5d

All of the techniques described in the class videos can also be used to make brass, copper or even gold rings. However, brass and copper tarnish very quickly and the solder joins are usually quite visible and gold is obviously more expensive. Silver is easy to work with, looks beautiful and, as you do not need much wire to make each ring, an affordable option.

Show us your work in progress! What shape and gauge of wire will you choose? What kind of texture can you get with your hammers? What does your work area look like? We all love behind the scenes looks at other people's work areas!

And of course, show off your beautifully polished rings!

Remember that I am here to help so just leave a comment if you need some advice or anything clarified, and do leave feedback for your fellow classmates!
