About This Class

In under 30 minutes, sewing blogger Nicole Dasig from She's Got the Notion will show you how to sew a set of three open wide zipper bags. The tutorial is laid out so that even beginners can follow along, as all you need to know how to do is use a sewing machine. This set of toiletry bags is an updated version of the very popular makeup bag made from fat quarters from ShesGotTheNotion.com

What makes this set special is that all three bags can nest inside the larger bag to take up less storage space. The open wide zipper installation also makes it easy to find items stored inside the bags.

By the end of this class, you will be able to sew a set of open wide zipper bags from start to finish. Nicole will guide you through all the steps, including choosing your fabric, installing the zipper, sewing the exterior and lining fabrics, and creating the shape of the bag. Once you've sewn your bags, be sure to begin your class project to share a photo.
