Project Description

Our class project is a knitted square sampler blanket.  Each month we will explore knitting, purling, lace, cables, color work, slipped stitches, brioche, and more.  Squares will build skills throughout the year for a comprehensive knitting education by year's end.

You can knit along with the same yarns by buying a kit from BlackSheep at Orenco. You can choose from cotton or superwash wool; making this blanket perfect for everyone.

Not looking for more yarn, but still want to knit along?  The monthly blocks are included with each video lesson.

This month's project is the Flying Geese and Paitsu.

Tips:

  • Read each pattern and chart carefully
  • Count your cast on stitches twice
  • Use stitch markers to mark the pattern repeat if you need them
  • Use good needles with sharp tips
  • Upload photos as you go (or at least take photos while you are working).  Sometimes photos can show mistakes before we see them in person.

Additional Help:

If you need more help, check out my website: www.kellislackdesigns.com, contact me through the Ravelry forums, http://www.ravelry.com/groups/kelli-slack-designs, or send me a message at [email protected]

When you have finished each square, take a photo and post it in the class. I can’t wait to see what you have knit!
