Hi I'm Debbie, also known on the internet by my business name Green Man Art! I'm a freelance illustrator and surface designer based in the UK.

I work in many mediums, but do most of my work digitally, although I love nothing better than creating whimsical illustrations in gouache, or three dimensional theatre-like sets out of various materials. I also like making pop-up cards and paper dolls. Telling stories or conveying subtle messages with images is what makes me tick!

You can find me on YouTube where I post weekly videos exploring my art and life as a freelance illustrator. I'm also on Patreon where I spend most of my online time blogging and posting 'behind the scenes' content and 'sketchbook peeks'. I'd love it fo... See full profile

1. Screen Printing Like a Pro:: Introduction the the Class: Hi, guys. Debbie from Greenman are here. How are you? I'm a freelance illustrator from the UK On in this class, I'm going to show you how to set up and get printing with a pre board screen printing kit. I know a lot of people who buy screen printing kits from Hopi and craft shops when they get them home. There's very few instructions about how to get started if you're used to screen printing. This isn't a problem, because you pretty much can get going without instructions. But if you've never done it before, it could be quite daunting. So in this class, I'm going to rectify that. You're going to learn how to set up a printing station, have to set of a screen print. You're going to know how to use your material safely and correctly. You're going to learn what ratios you need to mix for different types of surface that you're gonna be printing on. You're gonna be learning about different kinds of stencils. Finally, by the end of this class, you're going to know how to get your designs printed, so please carry on to the next video where you're going to learn what materials 2. Materials: 3. Set Up a Print Station: - way , way. 4. Prepare a Screen: 5. Paper Stencils - on Paper: 6. Homework Assignment 1: - way . 7. Project 1: way. 8. Masking Fluid Stencil - on Fabric: 9. Homework Assignment 2: way, Theo. 10. Project 2: way, Theo. 11. Class Wrap Up: so that's it. Now you completed my class and, you know, have to print with a pre board screen printing kit. In this class, you've learned how to set up a printing station, how to use your materials safely and correctly have to mix the correct ratios for the types of things that you want to print on. And finally, you've got the confidence to now start printing your designs. I hope you've enjoyed this class, and I hope that you get into screen printing in a big way. If you do, please leave some of your projects in the projects below.
