1. Course Introduction: Would you like to get more traffic to your website, but you're not sure how to get started with SEO. Well, in this class is perfect for you. In this video series, I'm going to show you what SEO ways, how it actually works, what are the benefits of it, and what are the strategies have been using for years to get excellent results for both my own websites as well as websites of many businesses that have trusted me with their SEO. And more importantly, I'm going to guide you step-by-step on how you can implement these same strategies to rank your website to the top of Google. My name is Oscar and I've been doing SEO for over six years now. When I initially got started, I had no idea what I was doing and I made lots of mistakes. But then I learned from my mistakes. And over the years, I got very comfortable with ranking websites in Google. At this point, I've worked with countless businesses, ranging from small companies to large national enterprises. And I've helped them with their SEO. And this experience that I've collected over the years puts me in a very comfortable position to work with you and teach you step-by-step on how you can rank your own website in Google. So the idea behind this class is to take anyone whether they have very little or 0 ICU experience and take them from 0 to superhero when it comes to ranking websites in Google. 2. Benefits of SEO: Why it gives you an edge: before I dive into my s U strategies. I wanted to make this quick video on the benefits of ASIO because it will take time before you rank your website. So it's important to understand the reason behind doing such engine optimization so that you know your why and it helps you to stick around and fully coming to the process. So the first benefit is that s CEO can scale your traffic exponentially without scaling your costs in an exponential way. So what it means is imagine you're running a paid campaign on Facebook or on Google AdWords . If you want your traffic to keep going up and up and up, you have to spay more and more for ads so your bills are going to get high and higher. Now, you might be still making money, but your costs will increase whereas we've ASIO. The way it works is that you have to puts a number off work initially, but then once that work starts to pay off, you get exponential results. But you don't have to exponentially increase your amount off work and research that you put into their campaign, which is a massive and massive thing For someone who's just getting started, I think it's really important. Another fact. Another benefit of ASIO is that the quality of traffic is usually way higher than compared to other channels and why it's because the way I still works is you put yourself in front of people who were already searching for your business. So if someone types in Google, say Italian leather jackets for men and you're selling Italian letter jackets for men, all you do is you show up in front off a potential customer who's already looking for those leather jackets. So you just show up in front of them. And it's a very noninvasive way where us say, someone is browsing the Web and they're doing their thing. And suddenly there is a pop up with an with your shop where you sell Italian leather jackets and you might you might catch the person's attention, but you might not. They my goal in your website, they my bounds. They may leave very quickly, so the quality off the traffic will be a lot lower, whereas with S e. O. Because they were already searching for you, it's more likely that they will either buy a product or subscribe your email list, read your content or whatever your website it's about. So the quality is is way higher. Convert to other sources because which brings me to another point is that s e O. Is a noninvasive for form of marketing. So, you know, interrupting people. All you do is you show up where they already are searching for you. That's all you do. Another huge benefit is that it's a long term strategy, so it will not give you an overnight success. But at the same time, it will continue to pay off for years to come, assuming used stick to the right strategies and you come into the process. So if you're looking for something where you can invest your time in and then it will continue to pay off over the years, ASIO is definitely for you. Trust and credibility are another good reasons why you should learn more about Seo because Google is one of the most trusted websites in the world. Most people, when they think about the Internet, they just think google so naturally. When your ex that shows up at the top of Google, then it gives you an extra credibility boost, and the reason behind this is that people can easily spoke paid arts on the website, but they have no idea what's going on behind the scenes when it comes to organic results. They've never heard about such a thing as a CEO, so you can be optimizing your website for the organic results in the background about for the 99% of Internet users. When you show up at the top of ghoul, it just means you're trusted. And, yes, your result is good. So that's a huge benefit for for a website. But that's enough about the benefits of ASIO. Let's actually move on to the part where I show you how you can do S e o yourself. 3. Choosing a CMS for SEO: a very common question for people who just begin their journey with ASIO is which CMS should I use for my website? CMS is nothing but a content management system and it's basically a software that you installed on your website to manage your content. Now there are plenty of different solutions to choose from, such as squarespace wakes Shopify, we believe war, Prisma, Gento There's so many and it can get very confusing, especially for a beginner. And I'm not going to analyze and break down each each in every single one of them, because that could be an entire separate class. But what I can tell you after years of experience with Aecio, is that wordpress dot ork is the best solution. When it comes to ranking websites in Google is the most s your friendly CMS. It's easy to use and easy to customize. And I'm just gonna take a minute to show you some of the main benefits off using WordPress for ASIO so that you can understand it better. WordPress offers everything you need in order to start a successful SL campaign. It allows you to added different ASIO elements of your page is such as the title tax T meta descriptions per mailings, etcetera. And this is not the case for many platforms. In fact, often times you might find your find the platform. That's very easy to use for a beginner. But as a result, the developers had to sacrifice on the lot off functionalities, and later, down the road, you realized that you cannot fully optimize the website for S E O. And with war press, you can launch a fully optimized website from day one. Another great benefit is that war press's very versatile, and it can be fully customized to your needs. Whether you're running a personal bloke, a small local business website and e commerce store, a portfolio app side were present allows you to cast a mize it according to your needs. And if you're just getting started, I can guarantee you that it will not limit you in any way whatsoever. And I think the most important reason is that Gugu loves WordPress. They've actually partnered with war powers to help develop the platform, and not that long ago, they went ahead and launch their own war purse plugging called Web stories for war prayers . Now, if Google loves war pris over other content management system, and your goal is to rank in Google, then it's a no brainer to go with WordPress. Another huge benefit that comes to my mind is that work Chris is easy to index, which means that the boats from different search engines such as Google can easily navigate for the code of your website, and they can index it in their search results, which is key when it comes to search engine optimization. A massively important factor is that work Chris is mobile friendly, and if you're not aware, Google uses the mobile version off your side, predominantly to index and rank your website. So the fact that war pres gives you a mobile friendly side right from the get go, it's a huge time saver, so that's it. As far as the benefits go, there are many more. But the key take away from this lesson is to please go ahead with war press. You will not regret it 4. How long does it take to rank my site?: How long does it take to rank my website and Google? Well, this is a question I get asked a lot, and the answer is, It depends. So depends on a few factors. First civil. If your website is brand new, say you've only built it this week and it's good to go now, then is gonna take you alot longer comfort toe working on an existing side that has been around for a few years. So if you're excellent is brand new, I would say Give it at least 12 months. If you're going after something super low competition than you might get to page one a little bit faster than that. But when I work with clients that have got brand new websites, I tell them the campaign toc significant improvements off the campaign. You have to look at it in a 12 to 24 month period, and that's also the reason why I don't like to work with people that have got brand new websites because it takes a little bit longer. But if you if it's just your website, you know the times go going to go buy anyway, so you might as well just stick around and as long as you're aware of it, then you can keep going. You know, if after free months you still not ranked, then don't give up because this is completely normal on a brand new side. However, if you work in on the website that has been around for a while, like a few years, then you can see improvements a lot faster, and this will depend on the existing rankings off your website. So say you work on a keywords that's at the moment is ranked at like first page of Google like Position 20 free, and you want to get it to top one off course. This keywords can be ranked a lot faster to the plan compared to working on on the new site . So it really then depends on how would you are. What are the things you're implementing and what is the key words? You know, you can make significant improvements on existing websites and see results within like a few weeks. It is very possible and happens to Munich many times where I will just week, a few things and then boom ranking shut up. So when working on existing sites, it can happen our a lot faster when working on brand new sites. Give yourself 12 to 24 months on to see significant results off your work. 5. How many keywords can you target on one URL?: Is there a limit on how many keywords you can target? We've just won your l will let me explain how it works. So imagine you have a page targeting the keyword best running shoes. So best running shoes is your main target keywords. Now this page can end up ranking for thousands of different keywords, and they will most likely be the variations over main Target keyword. For example, you can end up showing it number one in Google for things like best running sneakers. Best sneakers for running. Which shoes should that pick for? Running all these different terms and phrases you can end up ranking for with that one pay . So in that way there is no limit on your target keywords. But now imagine that you also want to go after the keyword best walking shoes so I can just take that cured and stick it on the top of the existing running shoes. Page will not really and why. It's because the intent is different and Google's number one worry is toe answer the user intent in a relevant way, that makes sense because as long as they continue doing that, then they will most likely continue being the dominating search engine in the world. So you have to take that into consideration. And another reason is that your competitors were most most likely have a best walking shoes page and best running she's paid. So imagine you're the user and you're looking for best walking shoes. Would you go on a page that talks specifically about best walking shoes? Would you go on that page that talks about running shoes, football shoes, basketball shoes? Walking shoes off course would pick the most relevant results. But now let's have a look at the walking shoes page. So there is no limits as to how many keywords that page can run for, because it can end up ranking for variations off your main target. Keyword like best sneakers were walking comfortable walking shoes. Which shoes are comfortable for walking all these different phrases and keywords you can end up ranking for. So again, there is no limit here, but you cannot just take these two main target keywords, so best running shoes and best walking shoes and stick them on one page. So as long as you make that distinction than you're good to go before you move onto the next video, let me just show you will quick the actual number one result for best running shoes and let me put it into a tool called a traps that shows you different keywords that this page ranks for. And then I'll do the same thing with actual live results that ranks number one for best walking shoes so that you can really see what I was talking about, and you can see that one page can run for thousands of different cured variations. 6. How many pages should my site have to rank well?: How many pages should you have on your website in orderto rank well in Google? Okay, so there is no official guidelines from Google, but what I will do is I'll share some tips review based on my experience. So imagine the standard business website, which consists off five pages. So we've got your home page, the about us, the F A Q Services page and the Contact US page. Now, this might be enough for a you know your random customer to go on your website, get an idea of what you do and contact you. But it's not enough for Google, and it's definitely know enough to rank well. So what you need to do is need to think about ways on how you can expand your website and provide more content on your given subject. And the way I look at it is imagine you goto and to library, and you'd like to get a book on dieting. You know you want to find more about different types of diets on do to improve your health , and you can pick between two books. One book is five pages long, and the other one is 200 pages off well, research content. You know, it's It's a no brainer that you will pick the 200 page book because it provides more information, and it's similar with Google. You know, they will prioritized websites that have got more content on a given subject because it kind of shows that they have more authority on the subject datum. They know more about it, so it makes more sense to push them in the in the ranking results, rather than showing websites are extremely thin. Well, that also like to do is look at the main competitors off Whatever needs I'm going after with my side and then get an idea off the size of their website and how you can check up easily is to go to your competitors domain and then type and slash site map dot xml. And it will not always work. But most of the time you will be able to see their XML site map, which allows you to see how many pages they have on their website. So if you're a main competitors, er is writing really well with just say 50 posts, then you know that you don't have to create a website that has got 500 pages. But on the other hand, if all the main guys that are currently ranking really well in your industry have got websites with thousands of pages, then you might need to create a little bit off a bigger website in order to compete well with them. What I like to do as a burn minimum if I'm starting a new website is to have 30 pages and this is no I'm This is no based on any official guidelines. Like I said, it's just based on my experience. So if I'm to start a block and in a certain niche, I would like to have at least 30 pages on my site and that includes the home page, the about page, the contact, me and then I would have the rest dedicated to different art type of keywords, whether this would be blocked posts or our pages with products or whatever, whatever else it might be depends on the niche. But to me, for me, it's like a bird minimum that I like to have on my website before I try to rank it for anything 7. How much content is good for SEO: how much content is good for us. You'll rankings personally. What I like to do is to google my main target keyword, and then grab the top five best ranking results and analyze the work count on every single one of them. And then what I do is I calculate, the average work hung. And then that gives me an idea off how many words I should go with on my page if I'm to have a chance to compete with my top five competitors. So then once I have that information would I like to do is first of all too much my average workout, so I don't have less content on my page than the average off the top five results. But second of all, what I also like to do is to look at how many words the number one ranking result has and if possible, I tried to match them because at the end of the day, I'm not computing for top five. I want to be at the number one. I want to be the top of Google because that's where you get the most clicks. So if I'm to be a number one, I should have at least the same amount of contents and useful information on my page, like the guy that's currently ranked number one. Now, while you trying too much the work count off your top five competitors or even you try to have more content on your page that the top one guy always keep in mind that you don't want to just produce fluff. You want to produce useful information on your page. Otherwise, if it's just fluff and you only focus on the work count but not the work quality, then the user will likely exit your site anyway and do go to the competitors. Er, so just keep that in mind while you're producing content for your side. 8. Keyword types explained: Targeting the right keywords is key to having a successful SEO campaign. So in this video, I'd like to explain to you what are the different types of keywords so that you can understand them better and know which one to choose for your website. It's important to understand what keywords are and what are the different types of keywords so that you target the right type for your website. Because a blog will target different keywords compared to a local business. And a local business would go after completely different keywords done a e-commerce store and so on and so forth. So let me first explain what is a keyword. A keyword is anything you type in Google, you could type in something like shoes, or you could type in dogs. These are keywords, these are very generic keywords, and we call them short tail keywords. So it's usually one or two words and they're very broad. So if someone types in the word dogs, what do they mean? Do they want to buy a dog? Do they want to adopt a dog? They want to sell their dog to they want to buy dog food? Do they want to buy toys for dogs? Do they want to get medicine for their dogs? There's so many things. So a short tail keywords is characterized by usually al lot of search volume because there are so broad, but they also very vague keywords, so they're not really good. And to target, in most cases with SEO because the sedge intent is so crazy here, like the could mean so many things that you don't actually know what to expect from just the someone typing in the word dogs. So this type of traffic might not converge very well. But then you can expand and then you can go and something like dogs for sale. Manchester. And this is what we would call a long-tail keywords. So what a long-tail keyword? This is a phrase made out of multiple words and it's gives you a lot more information. So compare the keywords, dogs for sale in Manchester to just dogs. So with dogs, we had no clue what the the person searching that had in mind. Whereas if you type in Google Docs for sale in Manchester, I mean, it could not be more clear than that. It's it means someone who would like to buy a dog in Manchester. So say you are a local business selling dogs in Manchester. This would be a perfect keyword for you to go after because the search intent is super relevant to what your business does. Whereas just going after the keyword dogs. And initially it might seem attractive if you're selling dogs. But trust me, this would be an awful choice. You would first of all, not rank for this because it's too big of a keywords. But second of all, it would not convert that well. So it's important to understand the difference. And the long-tail keywords is what you should target the most because they have so much more information in them and that it's easier to produce relevant content for those type of keywords. So let's just continue grabbing a few more examples. Stuffy puppies for sale in Manchester. This is so relevant. I mean, this keyboard could not give you more information. And this is another perfect example of a long tail keyword. And another thing about this keyword that I want you to understand is its commercial value. So this keyword is super commercial. It's got the word for sale. I mean, this is someone looking for a salary, you know, a potential buyer. So it's a perfect keywords for a business that has got a product or a service for cell for sale. If you selling dogs, if you sang puppies, then this is a perfect keyword. But the opposite of the commercial keyword is the information keyword. So let me give you an example. It would be how to train a puppy. So this is more of an information type of keyword. Now you could still monetize this by selling video courses on how to train your puppy. Sure you could make it commercial. But overall, what people are searching for is not necessarily a product or a service to buy its information. So we need to differentiate so that you know whether you target a keyword that could potentially bring customers straight away, or you target keywords that could get people on your radar. So if you sell, say, video courses or you've got a Academy for puppies. And this could still be a good keywords to target. So you could have an article on your web site where you explain how to train a puppy. But this article might not necessarily converts everyone into a customer. Buy my, GET more people. It might get your business onto more people's radars as so it could be a good idea. It's not, I'm not saying that information keywords are something you shouldn't targets, but you have to understand the difference between commercial and information. Angle how to train a puppy to calm. So another super information type of keywords, not that much commercial value here. And another example from a different industry to understand the difference between information and commercial type of keyword is, Let's say the word shoes. So the shoes would be the long, the short tail keywords of the niche identified as shoes. Then we could go deeper into that and we could grab a commercial type of keyword. So best shoes for flat feet for men. So this is a commercial keywords. It specifies clearly what the buyer is and gives you a lot of information about the buyer profile. And then an example of an information keywords here would be how to clean your shoes. So if someone is typing this keyword that probably not interested in buying shoes, they just want to know how to clean, clean their shoes. And again, you could potentially, if you selling products to clean shoes, this could be a commercial keywords for you. But overall, the intent behind this is more towards being informed rather than making a patches on line or coming to a store. So always keep in mind the differences between commercial and information type of keywords. Whenever you do your keyword research and always try to go as long as possible because then you can, you can create content relevant for the, for the user. Whereas if you just try to rank for the word shoes or dogs or cats or whatever, it's not very it doesn't give you like a clear indication of what your website should be about. So long tail is the king. 9. Finding UNLIMITED keywords for your website: Finding keywords can be difficult when you don't know how to search for them. So in this video, I will show you exactly how I'm able to find a literally an unlimited amount of keywords for pretty much any industry so that you can know exactly how to find eight some of keywords for your website so that you never run out of IDS2 targets and to go after for this particular example, let's try and do some keyword research for a travel blog about Portugal. So imagine you'd like to start a travel book, focus on Portugal. And in this video, I will show you how I would go about finding the right keywords to target for your website so that you have plenty of ideas to write about. So the tools I will be using our keywords everywhere. And this is a fantastic Chrome extension. And that allows you to see the search volume of any keywords you type in. And it is paid, but it's super affordable. That only costs you $10 to get a 100 thousand credits. And each search is one credit, so it's really, really good. And then I will be using a tool called a traps, which is great for a lot of different SEO tasks. And in this case, I'll be and putting in some of the potential competitors that our travel blog would have and spy on their keywords to allow me to find more ideas of things to write about. But don't worry if you don't want to purchase any tools because at the end of this video, I'll also show you some free alternatives that you can use. So let's get started on this cure research thing. So I would start with typing in like a seed keyword. And in this case maybe let's do something like best places to see in Portugal. And then the Keywords Everywhere, Chrome extension is what you can see here. So it gives me the sedge volume of this very phrase. And then what it does is it gives me additional suggestions of based, based off my C keywords. So this actually gives me a son of ideas straight away. Four different articles that I could have on my new blog. And so it really fantastic tool. So I will do, is I would grab this keyword and put it in my spreadsheet, and then save the search volume. And then I can see already some of the suggestions here. Best beaches in Portugal is fantastic and keywords to target for, to target on your, on your blog. So 8100. And then we can go little bit deeper. And so instead of Portugal, we can go like Lisbon. Like that. Whoops. This is another region in Portugal. Okay, fantastic. So we'd have a couple of blog posts about peaches, maybe Porto. So straightaway, we already have a few ideas. And let's go back to our seed keyword. Prettiest places in Portugal. I like this one a lot. It's more of a long-tail keywords and it would be easier to run for for 80. And it's good to save the sedge volumes so that at the end you can see what type of traffic you might expect for an blog. And as well as to see which keywords might need a little bit more work and resource pool into them because a big sagittal and keywords book probably need a more in-depth article. Best places to visit in all golf, which is a region in Portugal, I said So that's a very good keywords to target. Okay? So phi citizen Portugal, following this one. But our seed keyword. Now every time I do keyword research, I end up with a bunch of Chrome tabs open. But it's fine because then I can jump between them and I can look at different suggestions of fan from keywords everywhere. So I can, I can come up with so many keywords, ideas. You can basically go on forever like this and just source more and more topics. Phi blog must see cities and Portugal. Yeah, we could have this one as well. Adventurous things to do in Portugal. A 110 sets is fantastic keywords. It's a long-tail, easy to rank for unique places to visit in Portugal. Grant, keyword sits for 80. Okay. Things to do in Portugal and Abu fire, which is another region of Portugal. I like this one. Free 19. Okay. Best smelled pounds to visit in Portugal. Now this is super small set volume, but if you starting in brand new blog is fine to have a few and really long tail, really low competition keywords. Because this way you can already start ranking for smaller keywords and start to build trust with Google. And so I told the totally recommend you to be ambitious and try and go for big keywords in the long run. But at the beginning and don't get discouraged by a small volume because, you know, a, you will have an article ranked at page one if you pick some of the smaller ones. And pretty quickly. So it's a will give you like a motivation to keep going. And after the biggest ones once you rank for some of the smaller ones. So definitely include and a few tiny and keywords in your keyword research. Best way to see Portugal, I like this 15050 monthly sedge is similar to this one. Okay. Best seven-day Portugal, it's unary. Yeah, this is definitely a more of a long tail, lower competition keywords. I'll include it. Ok, so as you can see, you can get a song of keywords just by using keywords everywhere. I could continue doing this for like an hour and I would get like an unknown 200 ideas and if not more of different unique topic that I can write about. But let me show you how you can also leverage to called HRFs. So I will do with matrices. I will type in a keyword. And then I would grab one of the websites ranking for that keyword and then type that in and HRFs. And then what it does is it gives me the organic keywords right here that these very URL ranks for in Google. So when I can click on it, I can see all the keywords that this particle ranks four, which allows me to get more ideas for my articles. Where is the most beautiful place in Portugal? Doesn't get says, nope. Now, as you can see, a chef says is got 86 volume, but Keywords Everywhere says it's good. 0, Personally, I trust the keywords everywhere more, that's my personal preference. But if you if you want to go based on the nature of sludge volume, then feel free. Portugal, vacation spots for 320 minus one. What should I not miss in Portugal? Sanchez? Fun things to do in Portugal. Although this is very similar to adventurous things to do in Portugal throughout, probably not include that one because they are just synonyms. So I would actually skip this one. Unusual things to then port in Lisbon, Okay, this one is definitely a unique queue, or we can include 418. What to do in Lisbon on Sunday. Super long tail, very specific. Thank great keywords, great long-tail, keyword to target. Ok, so look in ten minutes. I already have 18 keyword ideas. And very quick, very easy. But let's just keep going. Want to do in Lisbon in March. Sure. You can have this one. And you could do like a serious For every single month of assuming every mode gets sexually in March and imagine the July would get a lot more. Well, no, actually, it doesn't. And seen November, December. Okay. These are such for 70 and then in December is 90. What to do in Lisbon in three days? 260. How many days in Lisbon in Puerto? Goods keyword as well. A 140. As you can see, there's so many different keywords that are like long tail and l, both easier to rank for like, look at this one. It's only got 90 sandwiches by, like I said, for a brand new blog is good to have some of these keywords to start and build trust with Google. And so I'm definitely include this one. And because this keyword provides you so much information about what the person searching for once you can create likey super relevant Post.all AN answer specifically their search query to 3-D. Good. So 12 days in Portugal. And now we'll target all these just by writing blog posts so bright that blog posts about how to spend 12 days and Portugal, or I will just simply answering a little blog post how many days in Lisbon and Portugal. And you write like a 10000 and word article describing different activities that you can do in Lisbon, in Porto, and how much, how much time you should dedicate to each of them. And you come up with a conclusion that for lesbian you should devote four days, for example, because the capital and then give yourself another free days in Porto for a total of seven days. And, and that could be all summarized in a 1000 word article. And I'm pretty sure you would have a really easy time ranking for the keyword. But let's just keep going. Now, I would switch a little bit from travel to something like best restaurants in Lisbon with a view, I don't want to go just bless restaurant in Lisbon because that's a super competitive keywords. But we can grab a few restaurant related ones that are more long tail. And we can still go up, go at it from this angle, from a restaurant angle. Best Portuguese restaurants in Lisbon. So these are the type of keywords dialogue of tourists might type in Google, also locals. But you can definitely include them in your honor travel blog. But stake, the stake in Lisbon. This one. Why not? Now you need to keep in mind that some of these keywords they do show em Google Maps, fats because in order to answer this search query, the easiest thing that Google when you can show is actually a restaurant that offers a steak. But you have listicle type of articles from a travel blog about best steak houses in Lisbon. So you can then do a similar thing on your blog and compete for these here, these organic spots right there. Cool places in Portugal, Portugal as places to visit. Sop, send things to see in Portugal and see if that has gone so wrong. But I think we already have best places to see in Portugal, okay, so this one, I would actually ignore. Famous people in Portugal known on this one for a travel book. Best places to go in Portugal for capitals, super specific, super long tail allow easier to rank for refund you blogs. So we definitely want it on our cue list. And look 15 minutes. And I already have 3029 keywords to target, which would be a fantastic can foundation for your new travel blog about Portugal. If you can just target these keywords. And for each one writes an article and arranges between, you know, like a thousand to 3 thousand words based on your competitors, based on how many words the other competitors have on average. And you'll have a really, really good chance of ranking it at soap one for some of these and generate some good traffic for your, for your blog. But now let me show you how you can do a similar thing. We felt actually using paid tools. So the tools that you can use for free are Uber suggest from Neopets L. So all you have to do here is type in something like best things to do in Portugal. And click sedge. Colonial puts out, wiring that loading, that ego. And as you can see, you've got Sarnoff keyword ideas here for free with sedge volume, best things to do in logos, Portugal, which is a famous city in Aligarh, I totally recommend this place. Thanks to the language Portugal 90 sandwiches. I'll definitely get this one. No, thank you. So as you can see, there is a son of ideas and that Uber suggests can generate for you. And all you need to do is just continue adding different seed keywords and you will generate a ton of ideas. You can easily do just use this keyword instead of this tool instead of keywords everywhere and a traps. And you will have a similar results. So if you work in the budget, then definitely use Uber suggests and then you can supplement it with the tool called answered the public. So what it does is, it's happened something like Portugal as your seed keywords. And let's see what does degenerate. Portugal, which city to visit. And then you can click on this. And it takes you to Google. And if you've got keywords ever installed, I would show you the search volume. But what it does is it takes your seat keywords, and it combines it with all these different boards to give you different things that people are typing in Google. And then you can scroll down for even more ideas. Portugal for kids, Portugal for capitals angle. So you could grab this keywords, Portugal for kids, one hundred, ten hundred words. And you can have an article similar to this. So describe a few things to do in Portugal for kids. And there you go. You've got a page that can compete for these keywords. And then same with this one, Portugal for capitals. And then what you would do here, once you gathered all the useful ideas from this seed keywords, you just go back here and then you type in another seat keyword. Then you just keep going until you reach a certain limit of depends how many keywords you want, whether you want to start your blog with 50 keywords, with 100, 200, depending on your resource, I would say like 30 is a good start. So have like 40 keywords that you can go after and with individual blog posts. And then you can continue going from there. 10. Onpage SEO fundamental strategies: On-page SEO is the art of optimizing the elements directly on your website in order to influenza Google rankings. Now the on-page SEO is extremely powerful, yet often overlooked side of an SEO campaign. And if you're on pages not optimized properly, then you will struggle a lot with franklin, your website. And on the other hand, if your on-page is done right, everything else is a lot easier when it comes to ranking to the top in Google. So in this video, I'll give you my fundamental on-page SEO strategies. I'm here in my Wordpress dashboard and I highly recommend that you also use board press for your website. And then four I'm going to do is get a plugin called Yost SEO. This is a fantastic plug-in that allows you to do different SEO optimization on your website. So just click Install and then make sure click activate as well. Perfect. And then I have a post saved here on how to be productive in the morning. Now I borrowed this post from some website. Obviously I'm not going to publish this because this is not my content, but it's just so i save the time on writing the article. Obviously in your case, either write a unique article or get someone to write it for you. And then always double-check that the article is unique and you can double-check it with tools like copy Skype.com. So the keywords we will target today is how to be productive. In the morning, it gets 210 monthly searches. So the first thing that you want to do is to have your keyword in the title. Now, the title is the name of the game, in my opinion. So if you don't have your keyword in your title or you don't have your tied to optimize the right way and you will have a very difficult time ranking your website. So what I would do in most cases is have my keywords at the beginning of the title tag, like here. So how to be productive in the morning. But then you don't want just your keyword alone because it looks a little bit spammy In some cases if you have had a shorter keyword. So I would add a little element like seven secrets. So how to be productive in the morning, seven secrets. And then I can just number this 123456. And then seven. Okay. And what it also does is it helps me to potentially get into a featured snippet. So this is a featured snippets. So this result here, it displays part of the article and as you can see, they have a listicle in order to get in this snippet. So if you want to compete with a less the coup to create a listicle yourself. And then. What I would do here is to select a relevant category. So by default, workers would put you in uncategorized. So I just created a category called productivity. You can create any category just by clicking add new category and then you type in something like blog and then like ADA category. And they go. But for now I'll just have this one. And then I will get a image in here. So I already added this image before. But what I did is I've got a free stock image and I change the file name to have my keyword in it to add an extra relevancy. And then I change my alt text to also include my keywords. The alt-text is, is a way to tell about what the images about. Because a human eye can see the image, but the bot cannot see what is an image. So when it crawls your side and the alt tags, you can tell the bads, okay, this image is about being productive in the morning. So what I like to do is to add my, Either the exact keyword or like a variation of my keyword in the outtake. So you could also add something like productivity in the morning. Okay, and then you just click set featured image, and there you go. You've got beautiful image in here. So the next thing that I'd like to do is to have my target keyword somewhere at the beginning of the article. So I've added this line here. Let's find now today with the seven secrets on how to be productive in the morning. So the question is, is it possible to have a productive mornings? Let's find out today the, okay, so what this does is it adds an extra boost for your keyword by having at the very beginning. Now you don't need to have your keywords all over the article because that would be keyword stuffing and you don't want to and have your keyword all over the place because it will also look very spammy and it will not help you. But my rule is to try and have my target keyword in the beginning, just once and dies. That's a good start for me. And then what I like to do as well is to add a variation of my keyword in one of the subheadings. Now you don't want to add it to every single subheading because that will look spamming and your readers would be like, What is this? But you can just add up to one of these. So for example, we could do something like get better sleep to be productive in the morning. And there you go. You've got part of your keyword in one of the subheadings, which is great. And then I will scroll down to the plugin that we installed before called Yost SEO. And then I would click on edit snippet. And in here I can add the meta-description. Now, the meta description is no longer a ranking factor for like the last ten years. But what I like to do is to use it for a CRO, which is conversion rate optimization. So I want to write my meta-description in a way that makes people want to click on my result. But at the same time, what I like to do is to add my target keyword somewhere at the beginning. So that when people type in how to be productive in the morning, they can see that very phrase in my meta description, which gives them, gives them an extra level of confidence that my article will answer their search query. So in this case, I will do something like how to be pro, active in the morning with these seven unknown secrets and boost your morning routine. With our tips. I'm not, I'm not full of ideas at the moment on how to create a good meta description. But again, the, you can, you can experiment with it and it can take you some time to come up with a good one. But my CIP for you is to focus on the reader when it comes to mete description. So try to make it interesting and make it clickable rather than spam it with the keyword. So as long as you just add a keyword summary in the beginning or somewhere in the meta description. Usually, that's good enough. You don't need to add it multiple times because it's it's not a ranking factor like I said, but all it does is it gives this extra level of confidence for your, for a potential reader that this article talks about how to be productive in the morning. And then what you can do in here is you can edit your title and SEO title. So it's this bit. So by default, it pulls it out automatically from here. And then it adds a hyphen and then the name of the website, which is good for me. This is good enough because we have the keywords at the beginning. But if you don't like it, you can always experiment and you can delete, delete this, and you can type in your own meta title. And then if your meta title is a little bit long, then you can always remove the brand name of your website. It's a, it's a bit of the metal title that sometimes can be sacrificed. If your keyword is, for example, too long and then feel free to move it. It's not mandatory. You don't always need it. If you want to give a little bit more focus to your keyword and you want to write a longer title tag. And you don't have enough space because this is such a short failed, then feel free to remove it. Okay, so we've got the keyword in our title, which is the number one priority to have your keyword in the title. We have the keyword at the beginning of the article. We have the keyword variation in one of the subheadings. And then we optimize the meta-description. And our SEO title is correct, including the keywords. We've got a image for the article that also has got our keyword as the file name and as the alt tag. And then we've got a relevant category. Now the only last thing and the I don't like is the URL. And why I don't like it is because it's very long and its got unnecessary things in there. So let me just click Update fares so that we save our changes. And then let me show you this post. So the URL has got the date and then it's got the title. Now, I don't like two things about this URL festival. I don't like the date. There is no reason to include your date. And it looks a little bit spam into me. And also, if you want to write your content in a way that I can say on your website and last you for years. You know, you want to produce evergreen content. Now, not every type of content can be evergreen. If you write news, obviously that's a little bit different. But by adding a date here, you don't do yourself a favor because imagine someone lands on this post in two years and in two years time, this post might still be very relevant. But when they see this day, they might be a little bit discouraged from clicking on an older posts. So here's how you can remove it in more press you'd go to here and then you go to settings and then permanent links. And then what you do is you click on post name and then you click Save. So what it does is it will automatically include the post name as the URL of your post. So let me show you how it will look. Okay, this one is gone. Then. Boom, so we got rid of the date. So now the only thing in here is the the title of our posts. Now what I don't like is the seven secrets bit. And first of all is because if I come up with an extra secret, then automatically I will have to change my URL. And you do not want to change your URLs. It's very important to keep your URL the way is once you've published it. Now, if you really, really have to, then of course, you change your URL and you set up a free O1. But overall, my recommendation is to not play with your URLs because every time you change it, google, it's like a brand new page. So it's good to just keep it and keep it the way it is published initially. So what do I what I would do in this case is going here and then remove the seven secrets bit, and then click OK and then click update. And then let me just refresh this post. Okay, perfect. So to me this is a perfect your URL for your posts. So what you do is you have your exact keyword in your URL, and that's it. And to me, this is the perfect optimization. 11. Backlinks: What are they and how to get them: Backlinks are super important when it comes to ranking a website in Google. So this video is dedicated solely to backlinks. So what a buckling is, is simply a link from one website to another. And the text of that link is what we call the anchor text. So when you get a backlink from another website, in Google's eyes, it's a vote of trust. It's a signal of trust that your website is getting from another website that's probably already has more authority and more trust. So what you want to happen is you want to get backlinks from different websites all over the web. And you want these pages that link to you to be relevant to your niche. So if you've got a blog about dogs, then you want to be getting backlinks from articles that are published on other websites. And these articles discuss the topic of dogs. And there are different types of backlinks that you can get. We've got contextual backlinks, which are the backlinks within an article. We've got sidebar links, which are backlinks in the sidebar. And we've got, for example, footer links, which are links in the footer of your website. Now the more, most quality type of buckling is a contextually, you want to get a contextual link to your website from another page that's relevant to your niche. That's the most powerful thing you can do to rank your website higher in Google. So as your campaign progresses, you want to be getting more and more backlinks from relevant pages to your side. So here are some ways on how you can start landing backlinks to your website. The first strategy is to start networking with all their website owners and build connections with them and just make friends with other website owners. Over time. As that relationship develops, you'll be able to ask them if you can guess, post on their website when you publish a guest post. In most of the cases that will allow you to get a link back to your side. And as you do it over time, you will start publishing more and more guest posts. This will influence your backlink profile and you pick up a lot of backlinks from really decent domains. Another strategy that you can apply to any website is to set up your basic social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, as well as some social media accounts on the site Dao relevant specifically to your industry. And in most cases besides, allow you to put a back link back to your homepage, which is a very good way to start picking up some basic backlinks to a brand new website. What I also like to do is to create a reddit account and start publishing my content to different subreddit that are relevant to my niche. And this way you not only get a backlink because each Reddit submission is actually buckling, but you can also get some traffic back to your website. So as long as there is a relevant subreddit to your niche, you should always include it in your link building strategy. And you should just get active and publish your content and your posts across different subreddit. And that will pay off over time. Backlinks and an extra free traffic to your website. One of my favorite ways to pick up backlinks passively and naturally is to create a, an article with a love statistics. For example, if you've got a bloke about dogs, you could create an article on statistics for dog ownership. And this article can then become a source for other people's content. And they can link back to it as the source of their information. And over time, this one article about statistics for whatever needs that your n can become actually a really, really powerful page on your website because it will pick up lots of links. My final tip is that you don't procrastinate on building backlinks and you make sure it's part of your monthly routine for your website because that's the only way to build a powerful backlink profile over time, which will allow you to make your website super alterative in google xyz, and allow you to go after very competitive keywords in your industry. 12.
