About This Class

Dear students!

You probably know me as a crochet designer but my real profession is foreign languages teacher. DIY it's what I've been doing all my life, since I can remember me.

Today I invite you to start learning Russian with me.

It took me a long time to create this class and finally I even didn't want to publish it because I hate hearing my voice recording and filming myself but I've taken the plunge.

In this class you'll learn how to write (printed letters and handwriting) and pronounce Russian letters and what sounds they give.

It's rather simple to read in Russian when you know the alphabet because letters are mostly pronounced as they sound in the alphabet.

Are you ready?

Let's start then!

Nice clear explanations of all the letters both how to write them and how to pronounce them in simple words. There are similarities sometimes to other languages and sometimes not. Thanks for this beginner's guide to Russian

Thank you dear Eléna! I learnt for the first time the similarities and differences between the russian and english/german alphabet! thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! hg
An interesting and nicely bite-sized introduction to the Russian alphabet that presents the names of all the letters and also shows how they are typed, written, and pronounced in words with easily understandable vocabulary examples. It is fascinating to see and hear the similarities and differences between this alphabet and the English one! Looking forward to more classes in this series!

Bonjour from France!

I'm a foreign languages teacher in real life.

DIY and crafts addict, I felt the desire to create Nature inspired crochet jewelry and accessories a few years ago. And it's especially the beauty of the flowers that fascinates me.

I'm developing my own techniques which permit me to obtain what I want in the easiest way.

I'm looking for a creative reuse in everything I see, that's why upcycling is just natural for me.

Passionate food lover, I studied different countries' cuisines, disovered their richness traveling and from my family heritage, as my grandfather directed a restaurant.

Welcome to my universe!
