Project Description

Hand-letter your favorite word in ribbon lettering style

ASSIGNMENT

Your assignment is to hand-letter your favorite word in a folding ribbon style. You will sketch your word, and use the shape and movement of a real ribbon to tweak your letterforms and learn how to apply the beautiful folding ribbon lettering effect to any typography and letting work in your own style.

DELIVERABLE

Upload your folding ribbon lettering project to the project gallery. A finished project includes a preliminary sketch of your word, and your final digitized lettering piece.

Feel free to share any other sketches or stylistic explorations as you're playing with lettering!
