But in most cases it is rather not knwing what to do and how to do it, that keeps us stagnating. Once you have organized your tasks, it will be easy to be motivated. In this class I show you tools and tricks on how to organize your work life.

1. Intro: Productivity Masterclass Step 2: Planning brings Motivation!: Hello and welcome to my productivity masterclass. It's a program in seven steps, and my name is Mikey Hoon Bata, and I'm very productive. I would say I'm very active and them very creative at a lot of online courses and other online product. I do a lot of business coaching, and I'm also an only mother to my two Children. So often people just ask me, How do you manage? How can you do all these? And sometimes they're asking me if I have some time management secret they don't know off. So it's an answer to this question. I started to record some courses on productivity. The 1st 1 is from vision to reality, where it shows you how to set in the chief goals than 1/2 a time management course. And now we're in the productivity course, and this is a seven step program, and you can find all these courses on this platform. So what will you learn here about this Productivity? Productivity is all the things that keep you busy all day, and it doesn't matter if you're employed or if you're self employed or if you're a student or maybe just mother to some Children, all of us have so many things to do, and we just seem not to have to keep on track with them. And I help you and the other show your seven steps how to make life easier. So and here comes to introduction for part two foot, step to And what is step two all about? Step two is about planning because planning bricks brings motivation. Often, people think there just love motivated and they're asking by better get my motivation from Why am I not motivated? And I'm chairman speaking, and we have this swine talk. It's cold. I don't know if there's any equivalent in English. I can't think of any. And this is your excuse from of doing things. Yes, you would always say your spine dog wouldn't let you. And so you are by our people not motivated. And it's always lack off planning that you just don't have a big plan. You're not organized. You don't know what to do with first. You don't know what to do it all. Maybe your desk is a mess, and maybe your brains is a mess. And what I teach you in this lesson is how to get more organized and how to start planning . And I'll also show you some software tips on that, some looking forward to meet you in the class. 2. Planning brings Motivation: Okay, So let's get started with step number two. In our seven steps to more productivity and a very based extent, I found out it helps a lot. To be more productive is to plan. So what I say is planning brings motivation. Often, people considered himself. It's not motivated enough to think. I'm just lacking motivation in and in the German speaking area. They even have a like personification off this unmotivated, and it's the swine picked in us mine peak. We call it, and it's it's held responsible for everything that doesn't work out for everything that just it doesn't get ahead. It's easy to put all the blame onto this nice looking guy here and say, OK, it's just, Yeah, there was something inside you that held you back from doing all the things you ought to do and you want to do and you should do. And so often, when people don't get ahead when people don't do the things they actually want to do, Um, they consider themselves as being not motivated. And they put a lot off blame on themselves. Very often, they say I should go for it. I should really do it. I should just pull myself together. I should put more pressure on myself. I just choose to true to do that. But what I found out often it's not so much that people do not want to do things or are just too lazy to do things. Often, what they are actually liking is a clear picture off. What exactly is to do? It's all black in their brains that just don't know what to do. And there are some some special obstacles that keep them from from starting that keep him from continuing to do something. And I want to talk about three main obstacles I found out, and they can all be put out off the way by planning. So, as I said, planning brings motivation and what What keeps you from being motivated are these three major points I found out People just don't know where to start. They think. OK, I I know I have a lot to do, but I just don't know what to do first. It just seems too much. It seems too big. I just don't know what step to set first in which want said Second then another thing is that people feel like they always get interrupted. They don't really get into doing it and they don't really get into it. And the third major point is that they just feel overwhelmed that you think it's just too much. I will never finish it. This will never be done. I will never have any free time for the rest of my life. And this keeps them from starting or from just going for it. And I now want to address each of these major points involved in separate with you 3. Where shall I start?: the case of a major point by many people think they're not motivated enough. Take they are not good at doing things is that they just cannot see where they should start . And this isn't so much about laziness. It's more that people really do not see what they should do. It's it's really that they're really thinking off the dark side off the moon, you don't have any inner pictures in their head. I used to have a learning center for Children with learning disabilities and coach them. And I know from those Children that it's really like that, that there is a blackness in your head and you just can't figure out you don't see anything in your mind. And this, of course, doesn't only happen to Children. And it doesn't only happen in in learning new thing. It happens when thinking all the time, and the only thing when it is the dark that you can do is that you turn on the lights and turning on the lights means that you create inner pictures. So as soon as the mind finds some pictures and usually you do that when you first draw them on the outside then you suddenly also have pictures in the inside, and then you can sort off, structure them, handle them. And, yeah, it's just light in there. And there are lots of means off visual facilitating. So any means that you can use to make it easier for yourself or also in the conversation with others to really exactly picture what you want and what you need and what you want to do makes life easier. And I now want to show you some some different possibilities on how you can learn that and how you can use that on a daily basis. So many people are asking themselves, Where shall I start? They often feel overwhelmed because they think it's so much and everything is urgent on. I just don't know what to do first and it just seems too much. And so one of the main things is that you know that you only can do it bit by bit or, as we say how to eat an elephant, it slice by slice. I know it's a poor elephant and I don't want to eat. It actually doesn't doesn't look too tasty, and but But you know when something look, speak and overwhelming. You have just have to junk it down. You have to find the structure on what's more important. That's less important. What has to come first, what has to come second, and there are several means that you can use to make it more more visible for yourself. And one of the things is that you does catches, and often it's really enough to grab some pencil and some piece of paper and just chop down a little bit of what it is all about. And this is useful to help you yourself on your own thinking. And it also helps when you are discussing with other people, for example, on a project. I was growing up by my father, who was doing this all the time, and he was He was always grabbing some pencil and paper, and he was explaining everything with the pension in the head in the hand, so I was really used to that. But I found out that it's not common in our society that many people don't know how to do that. So for me, when I have some some consulting with clients, or if when, when we're talking about the pro checked we want to do for me. It's completely clear that I would write everything down and that I would draw pictures that would draw little sketches. And it's not about this. Kill off drawing. Yeah, As you can see here, there are, like, picturesque pictures. It's not what it's all about. It's about making points clear and having something to discuss so that you can put your finger on it. And what about that? What can we do there? Or if I'm if you do it just for you yourself? It also makes it more clear next time when you think about it some how magical it justice picture appears in your head. That makes it easier for you to think about it, because I already got some structure. And this is the important thing to structure things and to make them visible also in your mind. And as I said, it's not very common. I also had this in my learning center that many Children, for example, if you don't know how toe dio in mathematics, if they have some texts better where the assignment is hidden in the text and they just don't know what happens. It's easier for them if they learn how to sketch it down and how toe make it more clearly. So if you if you think you're not good at it, I can recommend. Then Rome. He's one off the most famous visual facilitators, and he has, for example, his book on a napkin. And here's more workbooks and lots of stuff on his Web pages about. So if you want to learn how to sketch, are really highly recommended to do that and did this book or his books will help, and often when when some assignment looks too big. It's also that, you know, okay, this'll is what it should be in the end. But how do we get there? So rather than then saying, OK, what do I have to do first? What do I have to do? Second, it's often better to do reverse engineering and go just the other way around that you first say Okay, let's define what we want to have in the end or what I want to have in the end, and then you just go backwards and you say Okay, before that, what would be my late last milestone and what would be the milestone I would have to establish before and so on. So this way it's often easier to make the picture clear off, especially off long protects, which last for months or even years. And this is already sort of project management. But you don't have to do it in all details. It's more. It's always, you know, what makes you frightened is that you don't have a clear picture. What makes you frightened? Is that you that it just seems endless that it seems countless that it seems infinite? And you take that pressure from you if you just jot it down and make it clear? Okay, it might be many steps I have to take, but it's not infinite. There will be an end one day, and I just have to sort it. I just have to make clear what comes first and what comes second and often post its help for that so you could just take post. It's. It's also good if you have some team birds of group work and, um, you just this makes you think off everything. You just do like a brainstorming, and you just write down everything that you think is has to be done in order to fulfill the project. And then after that brainstorming, you can start sorting. You can exhorted on a timeline, or you can sort it according toa categories, which which goes first, which goes second. Or which belongs to this category, in which belongs to death category. And you could always adds post its or just dump them if you think it's not that important. Of course, mind mapping is also very common to make things more visual. It's also good for categorizing, and this is more like a classical time map. A mind map like Tony bosom taught it, Ah, but their arm or different forms off more like clusters off mind maps. You don't have to do it exactly that way. It's more like that. You really put it down and my maps work the way the brain works because we're not used to think in lists, and we don't explore one bomb bullet point in full, and then we go to the next one. Our brain more like chumps, and once it's there and once it's there and mind maps allow it easily, too. Also, write it down Accordingly. Someone wants you. Put a bullet point there and the new political in tow bullet points at the opposite side of the mind map. And so the whole mind map growth you can also again apply post. It's if you want to and put them down. I sometimes do that when I have big projects. I would like use a flip shot, flip chart size paper and I would just arrange post. It's, for example, if it through a hole a picker course containing off several smaller courses than often some topics would would fit in there, but also in there. So I can easily rearrange it. If I think okay, this course doesn't have that much content is the other, so I will finally put justice contents. Here are this point contents there, and you can easily do that with Post its. So my mapping is great. Always do that. I all my years I first tow them really with felt pens in my my book. I have a big white book, um, where I put all my ideas down First, if I really have to do more details on mind mapping than I usually go for for online version. And I can, for example, recommend mind master. It's for free in the basic version, and there are many more out there. There's lots off different mind mapping software today. Another thing. Off flow charts. Flow charts are very good for processes. If there's if there is more than one step, if they're several steps and if they could differ like here's a very simple one. Lamp doesn't work, so what do you do first, trust you check if it's plugged in, and if it's not plucked in, then you can already exit by plugging the lamp in. But if it's blocked in and it still doesn't work, we check on the bulb. And if the bulb is burned out and yes, we can just replace it. But if it's not burned out, if the bulb works, then we have to repair to them. So this would be an easy flow church. And yeah, As I said, flow charts help for processes in special. And there's also software, for example, lucid chart. It's also freeing the basic version, and I usually use flow charts. For example, toe if I have project with clients, which take a little longer for example, if I put on for them older social media and the webpage so that they can see what what we do have to do first and what is interconnected that we have to do tourist in seconds and thoughts just separately. So it makes it very obvious and very clear to them what steps we have to take Time and lines are also great. Um, timelines show you what has to be done in a successive order. So, for example, this this example. I found this about how to publish a book and what the offer has to do it. But the publisher has to do. And also there is lots off off software for free. For example, Tiki Taki of just want to show you a short look. This is how it looks and also hear the basic version is free. You can use different templates like, for example, I want to show you like a more common one. The more usual one. There you have. You can you can have this. These different colors could be different persons or could be different offices or whatever . And you just put in here any any new task that has to be done. And you see here on the top of it, the thought sterile, the all the assignments. There's not a lot of on this timeline is just a few examples, but let's see another one. This one, for example, recedes. It's quite similar, but this time you have more, more space for notes, and they have a background picture. You can't just go along time. Then they can put a new new important things. Or what I also like is this re dimensional. One really loved that one. It's the British history, and it's more like three dimensional. You can, either. Now I'm scrolling on my mind computer mouse. But I could also, like, go on this power here, and I think this is really nice so you can can take time lines to make it more obvious what has to be done first in second and what could be done parallel. And all these tools are showed you, and many more are just helping to bring light into the darkness. It helps that you form in the pictures and have something on your mind, and that it's not playing that it's a black, but that you really see clearly for yourself. What's to do, and this makes it much easier for you to start. And one other thing that helps if you if you find it hard to start, it's the Komodo technique. If you haven't seen my if you never heard about it. And if you haven't seen my time management course, you may be wondering about tomatoes have to do with productivity with time management, and it's, um, it's Dipoto over it. It's the Italian name for tomato. It's called that way because its inventor, an Italian guy, just took a kitchen kitchen clock and thats was in the form off a tomato. This is right, very actually came from, and he would just take this clock and set it for 25 minutes. And then dedicate is 25 minutes to just working eagerly on one specific topic. And when the the clock would ring, then he would take some minutes break and then he would set it again and take the next 25 minutes and thes sections off 25 minutes. He called one Pomodoro, so this is the reason why it is called that way. There's some more things to say there is a proctor, the whole community on the tomato door technique I'm mentioning. It's because it makes it easier for people for you to start because it's easy to have a commitment for trust. When 25 minutes and so often when you protect seem so huge, you feel like in front of climbing a mountain and you just can't get going. And the Pomodoro technique helps you to just say, Say to yourself, Okay, 25 minutes, I can do 25 minutes, and after that you'll have such a short break and then you'll do the next 25 minutes and there is very come back to the Elefant and we eat it slice by slice. 4. How to Get Going: Hi. So in this video, I want to show you two short tricks on how to get started to make it even easier. These are tricks that I often use. I consider myself being a very productive person, and I don't have a lot of motivation. Pro problems. But still, also, I do know that sometimes my couch is very comfortable or that sometimes I would rather want to do something else but continued working or start working. And I want to show you what I do in order to make it easier. And, as you maybe know, a rocket needs almost all the energy for the start bombs. It's in the air. Then it's easy when it's in its orbit, it doesn't. It has almost need no more energy, but they're starting, takes a lot of energy, and it's the same with us people. What dust take so much energy? It's just the energy to get into another set off mind. It's all the energy off starting off, having new ideas off, doing something you might not have done before. This is the hard thing. That's and it's often our subconscious or unconscious that comes in a way because Yeah, it just doesn't want to do. It's often bike a little child, which sometimes doesn't behave the way we want it to behave, and I want to show you what I do and I want to show you. But I do when I'm working at pro checked and and then afterwards, when I'm I have just miscellaneous things to do. What, of course, often happens. We don't like that to have all this stuff to do, But still, the stuff is there, and often this stuff has to be done. So first of all, when I work on a project like when I say okay this whole day or this half day, I just want to dedicate to a certain project, then hopefully have visualized everything before us, I said. Asai said in the videos before, and found out what my my tasks are in. For example, I have three different tasks I want to fulfill today and how much time it takes. Yeah, it depends on if I want if you have 1/2 day or full day or maybe just two hours, but okay, this is what I want to do today, and then I'll maybe decides a very proper person would decide. For example, first break comes after I fulfilled task to, and this is, of course, a good way to do it, but it makes it harder to continue afterwards. So one thing that I recommend you to dio is that you stopped working shortly before you finished. Task number two. And what this makes is that you have, like, there's some openness in your system, so you want to get it done. So this makes it easier for you to come back from your break because you really want to get this finished. And it also makes it easier to start off after the break because now you were into it just before you were doing it. You know what you did just some some minutes or maybe half an hour before even our something. So you know exactly where you're in. You're still thinking in terms off that you don't have to get everything new, and then it's easy to continue, and then you continue and finish task number two. And as soon as you have finished task number two, you are in the mode off doing You are in the mode of acting and you're still fresh. So it's easy for you to now start off with Task number three and, for example, work as long as you almost have finished Task number three. And this is one advice. I like to finish things, so it's it's sort off a little mind flip that you didn't do it that way, but it really helps you in in getting going and getting into things easier, because you you do not need this energy of starting right when you're starting off after break. And once you're in the mode of doing, it's easier. So that would be like when you dedicate half day or whole day on working at your project. But often it's not like that. Often yours have, like lots of different things this this whole stuff to do. And then it's easy. For example, if you have different tasks that you start off with an easy task number one. So let's say your task number two is the longest and hardest to do off a day off, half day or whatever time period and then it's often great if you find a task number one, which is easy to fulfill and which is kind off fun. It doesn't have to be mayor from just that. It's not that hard for you and what happens because often you get the advice that you should start with the hardest task off a day and in in some in some concern, it's It's okay. I will talk about it more later. But if you do the hardest thing at this first thing when you start off, it might happen that you start off two hours later just because you just couldn't get yourself motivated to start working at all. And you know, like that's pictured again. You see that? The couch, maybe a watching a movie, or you having a nice chat with your family or whatever, and you really do not feel in the mood off doing anything else, but that the things you're just doing, thinking of having a really heavy and hard task in front of you yourself doesn't make it easier. But if you have some kind of fun task first like Googling something or having a conversation, which would you need not not a just a chat, but a conversation with you. Telephone call, for example, with somebody where you need some information, but you still like that person, like talking to the person. For example, if you set that first that it's much easier to get going. Then you feel your muscles like they already start contracting because you want to get going and then you feel feel tough, number one quite easily, and then you already sit at your desk and you already in in working mode, and it makes it easier to go over. And now do your toughest task. Yeah, this is advice for me. This is how I usually do it and how I can trick myself, and I'm not really eager to start working, and I hope it does it for you to. 5. How to Handle Interruptions: okay, The next thing that many people makes them feel like they're not motivated enough. That, like that they're not getting a hat is that they feel that they always get interrupted. It seems to them that they cannot really work at one piece for a longer time. And this also really asks for planning. You have to plan that otherwise, life get into your way in life, lifts you in that that you live your life. And I Want the Growth, a book by Gary Keller. It's called The Bomb Thing. And actually, the book is all about that we have too many different girls and that you have too many different tasks and that we should really focus on only one thing in our life or maybe one thing at the day and so on. So it's really a nice book if you want to read it. I want to go to some parts of it, which are actually not only in context with the whole book, but I found it nice about getting interrupted, and I want to show you these concepts. By Gary Keller. First of all, he says, usually when we find out one thing of one projector. One goal we want to achieve We re plan toe have 100% of her time dedicated to this project . But the sad thing is that life comes into away and finally, the gray stuff is all the other stuff, all the not one thing that comes into away and that takes most of the time off our everyday life. And so often we end up doing only 25% or even less really in regards to our bombs thing. That should be our biggest thing, our most important thing in life. You can also compare that to the story about the stones I told you in the beginning our big stones. So we should really have lots of time for them. But actually, we end up not spending too much time for them. So Gary Keller recommends that we at least make it half off the time and 11 important thing violation do. That is heaters domino story. And this is some physical law which really rich really is true. So you know how Domino's work when you have a domino day that you really create, Momenta lamented. One Domino, um, just creates lots of lots of energy by just dripping over another one and another one and another one. And the thing is, it even crates that much momentum that it can make a bigger domino than itself. Also, the energy that that gets free by falling down makes it domino. Even toss over one bigger domino, and it can be about 1/3 bigger than itself. So if you really said it are properly, you can have a chain reaction off bigger and bigger dominoes that each that each Costis chain reaction And this is this is actually what really means off creating momentum. And you can do that if you cause a chain reaction in your business if you cause a chain reaction with your mom thing and really marketed properly. But usually it's not the way we work, because usually we have lots of interruptions, and we do not really dedicate enough time to our projects to have warm things so that we can really cause a huge momentum. What usually happens is that you have your one thing, hopefully, and did you work at it for some time. But then there comes an interruption. There's somebody at your door there's a phone ringing or you have to go for a meeting or whatever. If you look at the office, it's maybe a covert carol, your boss. So if you work it hope maybe it's your husband of I for your Children or just the postman delivering or whatever. And after, after this interruption, you always have a face of re orientation. That means you have to get re orientated. It's also what we were talking earlier with the rocket. It needs more energy to stop off again, but finally you come back to your one thing. But then maybe you planned on another think, because it didn't dedicate enough time to your one thing. Or maybe there is another interruption in some way that somebody just plans your time that somebody just has an urgent request or whatever. So you do this other thing and have to get re orientated to find your way back to your one thing. And this is just how life goes. This is just what happens to most of the people. So even if they have found their one things, we thing which many people don't have, and even if they're willing to dedicate time to eat. They often do not really mocked the time efficiently, so that they end up doing lots of artist stuff and never really getting deep into their really one important thing a big stone. The other thing would be if they really blocked their time and just do some hours off a day or some days in the week. Just have one thing, and then you really get ahead. This is really dedication. If you do that without any disturbance, you can get a lot more things thumb, because you really you DT pulling in it and then you would have another time that much time Or then you can do your other stuff, but the least it's not that disturbing. And it's not that annoying to have all these interruptions. So block your time for anything, but especially for your warm thing, some plucky time for important tasks because usually schedules look like this. You see that there's the schedule is full and your life is lived. Before he even started the week and thinking off your big rocks off your big stones. You really have to find time for them, so you really have to go there proactively. And first of all, plan your time for your peak rocks, You say? Okay this morning? Four hours, five hours. Only that Then I'll do it here. Okay. And then and so on. So you blocked the time for you Peek rocks first. Of course, that's harder. So you say every Monday, Thursday and Friday, two hours. And then I also will work one day at the weekend for about five hours only getting my one thing done like that and you blocked this time first, and after that you do all your other appointments. This is the way you have to do it. Because, as we saw with the goldfish class and the rocks and the stones and descend the other way around, it just doesn't fit in anymore. And then it's also good toe have your important things than the earliest possible. So, of course, if you work in an office as well, often evenings are the only time very you can dedicate your time to your your big goals. Maybe you want to work one hour in the morning. I wouldn't want so I think I wouldn't get much done at this time off the day. But sometimes for some people it works fine, so it's not always possible, but it should be the earliest time possible. No multitasking multitasking is a bigger lie, and it just doesn't exist. People think that they can do several things pearl, but it's just not true. That's easier said than done often if you have small Children or if you have a naggy boss, OK, but still, you often interrupt yourself so you can be your biggest enemy. So Justin get interrupted by reading all the emails in between and just going onto Google for something that's not very important in the moment or are switching to Facebook and other social media just don't interrupt yourself. That's very starts and then just make the happy off, like closing the door. If you don't want to get interrupted, our maybe it's reaching off the telephone. Aled, the all the acoustic signals on your social media Just don't let people interrupt you. Of course, that's not always possible, but make it possible as much as you can, and then you have lots more time for important things. And it's not only that you have more time. If you're blocking bigger times lots, you also can dick much deeper into your more focused, your more concentrated. And this is when momentum happens when there is so much more energy than just having these bits and pieces, the here and there and not really getting 1/2 6. Your Biorhythm: McCain form or tip. This means that you have your ups and downs throughout the day in the respect of your body , in the respect of your emotions, those in respect of your minds. And this means that sometimes you're up. Sometimes you don't. You know that anyhow, and sometimes all the three off them overlap and make you completely very protective. And sometimes the peaks and dips are not at the same time. And this makes you good at some things and not that good at others. Things. So what you should do. You should watch yourself. Usually these peaks, like a full F turn and full up and down, would be about for 1.5 hours it for with the usual person. And you should watch yourself and just see what is your time off the day and what's your attention span so that you can also use that for you yourself And if you If you know that, then you can plan on that and can do things that, like, for example, need more concentration at that time off day when you feel most concentrated, it's also a little bit connected with being a morning person or an evening person. And I just can tell you, from from my point of view, this would not be the easiest for me. I rather do that in the afternoon or in the evening, but I also know that I am no procrastinator, so I will do it. So if you know that you're procrastinating all the time, maybe you should do it in the mornings. But I know that it takes more energy from me to do things in the morning that I It's harder for me to get really deeply concentrated. So what I usually do in the mornings is other things that I want to have some every day, like my sports program, my meditation and maybe some part of my project work, but surely not the toughest one. And usually the other things that do would be like having a point man's or a little bit more nasty duty stuff that you have to do, like answering emails and stuff like that. So other people will tell you that's exactly what you shouldn't be doing in the mornings. But I am mainly due because I know that I will say that it will be much easier for me in the afternoons and in the evenings and that it's even hard for me sometimes to stop working at night to quit. So I know that this is my most productive time, and I go with that. So this justice, one more motive for me about what, what and how to work upon your bio written 7. It's just too much: okay. And one further thing that keeps that makes people procrastinating and keeps them from being motivated is that they have the feeling that it's just too much. And maybe you know, Murphy's law in Memphis, losses work always needs as long as there is time for it. So if there is more time for it and it just takes longer, of course, because you may be well, we put more details in it, but of course also because you will will take it more easily and more relaxed. So when I know that I have to have certain things to be done and that I have to have to finish things and then at the same time, I tell me that I only I am allowed to work on the eight hours a day. So what the unscheduled us You take the week just take it pan to And first of all, you find all the time that you do not work here. So this calendar starts at seven in the morning. If it would be a 24 hour calendar, I would even start crossing off all the time to the need to sleep. And then I tell myself. Okay, um, Tuesdays and on Thursdays. I want to have the evening off because I want to relax because I want to read a book because I want to go out whatever and are free to take off on Sundays. And actually, I want toe also take off the whole Wednesday. It is, of course, depends on if you're employed. I have lots of projects and the love my projects. I have clients projects and I I create a lot of online courses and many other things, so I know I had for years what I would love to do. I have lots of plans, have books full of ideas that I want to. I realized one day and what I did for a very long time Waas that when one project was finished or part of a project was finished, I would maybe take some minutes breaking. Then I would continue working. And if you have that many plans, as I have for if you're just a busy worker and you never really tell yourself Hey, I made it, I'm done. Now this chapter is finished and I was good at it and I did it. And maybe even on time. And before I do the next thing, I just want toe lean back and just be happy and celebrate. And this is a very important thing that I had to learn to do, because otherwise I think this is the difference between being a person that loves his or her protects and wants to go for approach. It's all the time. And being a person close to burnout, you have toe celebrate. Your success is you have to be grateful and thankful, and in a good mood about everything that you're doing that you're achieving and take some step back and maybe celebrate or go out or have some fun and say year I made it and then take a deep breath and only then start your next project. And also this keeps you from the feeling. It's just too much. I have to do too much. 8. TED-Talk Tim Urban: So for the end of the section, I want to tell you about a Ted talk I saw on YouTube and he below to get the link. So if you want to see the full Ted talk, it's about 1/4 of an hour. It's by team Urban, who calls himself a procrastinator, and it's all about procrastination. And what he tells is what happens in the brains off a procrastinator as he's one. And so he gives inside in the brains and, he says, a person that doesn't progress tonight it looks like that inside the brains. So things Person has a racial decision maker, he calls it. And so when there is anything I have that you have to do any deadlines and so on, the distillation of Decision Maker knows what to do and plant it all. The hats Bob pisses brains off pro Christine Istres look different in their brains. It looks like that they have an instant gratification monkey, and this monkey often takes over and the decision make. It doesn't no longer steer the whole thing. It is not not making any decisions anymore, And so what happens is they are here both and what the monkey says the monkeys is from. And the monkey says, Play the monkey just wants to have fun. And of course, the decision make up wants to make decisions. And the decision makers is. Hey, guys, we got a deadline. Here we have. We should really start working. We really should keep going. We should have a good plan on how we can structure the whole thing, that we get everything finished in time. So and sometimes most of the times depends on the person. They find common sense so they can work together. There is a little bit that overlaps, as you can see. But if the monkey takes over and that's what happens with brokered, aggressive natives very often, then thumb and play becomes the major. Think that people do and what he calls his. He also cause it a dark playground. Um, because it says, Why is it dark? Because the person the brain owner is actually playing. But it has a price, of course, because it's not really fully a free play because the person always knows. Actually, I should be doing something, so it's not feeling too well about not doing anything but it's playing anyhow and is really telling fun stories on how you can be on the dark playground that you could like Google a lot on Wikipedia and look at Google maps all the fun stuff. Or you could, of course, just seated the couch or watch TV. Or do you social media stuff and so on. So anything that helps so that you do not have to do the things that you really actually have to do. And so this is how life is in order, how the brain is off a typical procrastinator and team, Urban says. The only thing that scares the monkey is the panic monster. This is the panic monster and panic monster shows up on it shortly before deadline, and then the panic months the comes in. Suddenly, finally, the monkey shuts up, and the decision maker can take over and can make sure that everything is handed in time or that there is enough in the brains off. The decision off the off the brain owner for the next exam or whatever is has to be Tom and Tim Urban says it's always really interesting in how little off time he can finally do things and meet that lines. And that is that. It took him weeks and he couldn't even write the cover paper. And then suddenly it takes in 1 to 3 days or nights and can write Hold. Thesis is Yeah, and yeah, it's so far so far. It's kind of fun. And he actually says he's a blogger and this is he started blocking on that and he was writing this fun articles and people were writing him back and obviously understood that he was talking, talking about them. And, of course, all the things that you want to accomplish in your life. If you are on artist things, that the artwork that you want to do, if your writer books that you want to write all those things when you decide that you want to do them when you decides to go for them, they usually do not have a deadline. And so if you procrastinate those things, they might never get done. And what he shows is discharged and then never saw that before. And it's, I think it's quite thrilling, he says. This is a lifetime calendar. It's a calendar off a 90 year old, and each of these little syrah calls this one week in the life off, off, off a 90 year old. Then just think off how much time you still have and it doesn't seem that much. And this is the time you have for all the things that you want to accomplish.
