1. Welcome To Productivity Habits: Do you ever finish your work day feeling like you weren't able to accomplish what you wanted to start with? A plan, A list, a goal. But by the end of the day, you find yourself nowhere near where you hoped I get. Being productive can be very difficult. If you don't know the right, I will mention in productivity. Most people think about conflicts, tools complicated 10 steps systems or confuse ecological diagrams. But highly successful people don't think the same way. Instead, there would lie on the power of consistent habits to increase their productivity by five times or even 10 times. And that's where productivity habits comes to play. Productivity habits is a series of research and complied science backed habits used by self made billionaires, professional athletes straight a students and other highly successful people to increase their productivity. And this first course off with activity habits, you will discover three powerful habits. First, we will discuss time and how you can apply a simple technique to take charge off your time . Then we will move on to priorities and how you can get them white, achieve your goals. Finally, we'll talk about procrastination and how you can beat it by following some simple tips. At the end of each lesson, I will give you an exercise to help you incorporate this habits in your daily life and carve them into your mindset by trying just a few off the secrets they will reveal inside. I guarantee that your life will change forever. Were did you become unproductive beast? All right, then let's jump in. 2. Take Charge Of Your Time: I want you to close your eyes for a minute and think about the most valuable things in your life on a piece of paper or just in your mind. I want you to put these things in order off priority. The most important one. Begin first on the list. Important. Be last. Okay, so if you are like the majority off people, your list off the most valuable things includes your spouse, Children, friends, health and money. But these list lacks an essential element that most people don't pay attention to. It's time. Just think about it for a second. Yes, your spouse means the world to you, but you can be married and then get a divorce and then marry a new husband or wife that becomes suddenly the love of your life. Yes, friends are treasure, but I bet you had many friends back in college that you no longer keep in touch with. We lose friends and making once all the time. Yes, health is important, but you can be healthy today and thing gets it tomorrow and then regain your health. Yes, money is necessary, but it could lose all your money in a bad investment, and then you can make it all back. All of these things are important, and they should be on your list. But time should be ranked as the most important item off all. Why? Because there is absolutely no way you can buy or borrow more time. You can never lose time and get it back again. Once you spend it, it is gone forever. I want you to take a look at your clock. You can literally see your time check away by the second and slowly slips by. You might be thinking, Yeah, yeah, I get it. Time is important. Just give me some tips and tools that will increase my productivity and add hours to my week. But when it comes to time and productivity, the most important thing is to trick or a tactic. It is a shift in your mindset. This shift is one of the reasons why some people are self made billionaires, professional athletes and straight A students. These people and other highly successful ones think about time differently and experienced dying differently. The great news is we all have the same hours in the same minutes in a day. Time is the equalizer for all of us. We just need to take charge of it like the highly successful people do. So what do I mean by taking charge of it? Think about the how much attention you give to your money. Working hard at your job or multiple jobs to make money, looking for new ways to make more money, keeping truck off your money in your back and couch on worrying that somebody might steal your money. And yet we don't give that much attention to our time. We often let people steal our time, even though it's our most valuable asset. We get growth in distractions and get interrupted all the time. I need you to stop other people from sailing your time and take charge off your time. Take a piece of paper and write a big I am in charge off my time. On it hand, get up off your bed next to your computer monitor or on your office door or wherever it will best serve as a constant reminder off the very limited and precious time you have each day. Seeing this powerful message constantly will help you feel the passage of time. See the potential that every single minute off your day holds and build self discipline, which is a huge differentiator off successful people. In summary, highly successful people consider time to be the most important asset off all. The importance of time comes from the fact that trying is done renewable once the second has best. It's gone. The most important thing when it comes to time and productivity isn't a trick or a tactic. It's a shift in your mindset. Trying requires more attention, just like you wouldn't let people steal your money. You should not let them steal your valuable time. Took off this habit into your mindset. I want you to write down a list of five things you can do in one minute. Here is my list. So what can you do in one minute? Show your list with us by Boston it in the glass project? Do it and I will see you in the next lesson. 3. Get Your Priorities Right: Everyone wants to live a better life. But simply saying I want and expected toe happen is not going to do it. If you want to live a fully charged life and become productive, you need to set goals. Most people set goals for things like wealth, health, spirituality, relationships. But what they don't realize is that gold sitting is a process that starts with careful consideration off what you want to achieve and ends with a lot of hard work to actually do it regardless off what you want to achieve. Your goal must be specific and measurable. Instead of setting a goal to learn French, it should be something like, I want to go to that French restaurant and order food and French next week instead of saying I want to lose weight, you should specify. I want to those £4 at this pond. After you identify your most important goal, you need to identify which activities will help you achieve that goal. Question every activity you come up with and ask yourself, Well, this activity get me closer to achieving my goal. If the answer is no, then get rid of it. After identifying these activities you need to choose the most important activity right now and focus on it. You have probably heard one of the following properties. To do two things at once is to do neither, or it is those who concentrate on but one thing at a time who advanced in this world or success demand singleness off purpose. This concept off one thing at the time has been backed by science throughout numerous studies, research shows that multitasking, which means performance several desks at the same time reduces productivity by as much as 40%. Now, ah, group off. Researchers specializing in brain imaging has found that changing task to frequently interferes with brain activity. This might explain why the end result is worse than when a person focuses on one task at a time begin. The most important task or activity makes your motivated to the which because it has value in achieving it. It will help you feel a sense of urgency and acquire, and I must do this attitude. Thus, the chances off you're putting in the work to make it happen are very big. Now that you have identified the most important task you need to put it on your calendar and book it as early in your day as possible. According to psychologist Rhone Friedman, the 1st 3 hours off your day are your most precious for maximized productivity. Typically, we have a window off about three hours where we're really, really focused. We're able to have some strong contributions in terms of planning, in terms of thinking in terms of speaking well, this makes sense following a night of sleep. Your mind is well rested and ready to do thoughtful work, and your energy levels are the strongest following sleep. The longer you go throughout your day, the less energy you have. In other words, you experienced decision fatigue throughout your day, so your brain is most a turned first thing in the morning, and so are your energy levels. Consequently, the best time to do your most important work is during the 1st 3 hours off your day. Unfortunately, a lot of people make this huge mistake of spend in these three most productive hours off their day on things that don't require high cognitive capacity like social media or emails . It is very tempting to start your date by taking care off all the quick and easy things so that you can feel productive. But if we could fight distant ation and salvage this precious hours, most of us would be much more successful in accomplishing what we truly want. Tom Zigler, the CEO of Sigler Corporation, said. Invest the first spot off your day working on your number one priority that will help you build your business. Do this without interruptions. No email or text on before the rest of the world is awake. The window Real work first thing in the morning is not only a question off cognitive capacity, but it's likely that you will get bombarded with unexpected demands that will jump onto your calendar and require your full attention. In summary. Live in a productive life requires sitting goals. Gold sitting is a process that starts with careful consideration off what you want to achieve and ends with a lot of hard work to actually do it. Your goal must be specific and measurable. If you want to achieve it for this exercise, I want you to share with us your most important thing at the moment about worry, no judgment here. Do that and I will see you in the next lesson 4. Beat Procrastination For Good: well, there go the hours and hours that you could have spent on some important tasks, but instead you spent them chicken, social media, watching TV or reading emails. Sound familiar? If so, you're not alone. We tend to procrastinate a wide variety of things. You might procrastinate, cleaning your room or starting a new diet or making those important phone calls. Procrastination is a trap that many off us fall into. In fact, it is estimated that about 15 to 20% off the general population are procrastinators. Giving into procrastination can have serious consequences. It can make us feel guilty or ashamed. It can lead to reduce productive itI and causes us to miss out on achieving our goal. But the cost of procrastinating can add up well beyond poor productivity, especially for those who delight filling their taxes or plan in the retirement. To beat procrastination once and for all, you have to understand it. Procrastination is often confused with laziness, but they are very different. When you procrastinate, you choose to put off important, less pleasurable tasks by doing easier, more pleasurable tasks. In contrast, laziness just an unwillingness to act. One of the reasons off procrastination is lack off confidence. Dr Pierce, still probably the world's most foremost expert on the subject of putting off until tomorrow what should be done today, share some insights on this and has comprehensive analysis off procrastination research. Essentially, procrastinators have less confidence and themselves less expectancy that they can actually complete a task. Fortunately, it is possible toe overcome procrastination. Her arson tips to help you deal with procrastination. Recognize that you are procrastinating. Many off the methods for the feet and procrastination are difficult to use if you don't recognize when you are procrastinating, delay in an important task doesn't necessarily mean you are procrastinating. For example, you might be putting off a task because you had toe re prioritize good workload. However, if you start to delay things without a generally good reason or switch, focus because you want to avoid the win something, chances are you are procrastinating. Procrastination can be very hard to catch, especially if you are using busywork to put off the wind things that really needs to be done. So here are some hints that you might be procrastinated white in front to write, trying to start working on that important project. Fill in your day with low priority tasks, like cleaning the dishes instead off tackling high priority tasks, responding to everyone's requests and demands. Rather than getting on with the important work, you have going over something several times without making a clear decision on what to do with it. Like we read in your emails. The second type is motivate yourself after recognizing that you are procrastinating, you need something to get you back on track. You need motivation. And when it comes to motivation, there are two important factors. Pain and pleasure. When you catch yourself procrastinating, think about and even visualize what pleasure will you get by the wind, that thing and what pain you will feel if you don't do it? For example, if you are procrastinating on cutting costs to prepare for your retirement, like cooking at home and saving restaurant belts or switching out at $10 movie ticket for a $1 red box rental or rented a smaller place, think about the pleasure that comes from it. When you retire, you will be able to spend more time traveling, pursuing your hobbies and spend an additional time with friends and family On the other hand, imagine the pain that you will feel if you don't have a retirement plan, you will. Those control off your future and experience constant fear off outliving your money. This mental routine my sound extreme, but it is really helpful to go through it sometimes, even when you feel motivated so you can carve it in your mind. Set the 30 is hold yourself accountable in front of others. If you are an employer, you can easily hold your employees to the standard, which you expect but will sometimes find yourself. Let in yourself off the hook where you shouldn't. This is why it helps to have an accountability partner in your life to help you achieve your goals. This can be a study buddy who will drop where. Your house for a study session. It can be a good friend. The whole likes to play basketball with you. It's gonna be a personal trainer who guides you. Throw your workouts. We're looking for someone to act as your accountability partner. Look for someone who we respect, who you would never want to disappoint and who has time to help you. Most importantly, you need to look for someone who knows you, who understands the struggles, your face in getting work done in summary procrastination is a trap that many of us fall into about 15 to 20% off the general population. Our progress natures, procrastination doesn't Onley reduce our productivity, but it might put our future in danger. Fortunately, it is possible toe overcome procrastination by recognizing that you are procrastinating motivating yourself by actively visualizing the two piece pain and pleasure holding yourself accountable in front off others In the last exercise, it asks you about your most important task at the moment. Now that you know it, how will you ensure that you don't put it off? Think about it And don't forget to share answer with us in the class project. 5.
