Earned Value Analysis is a technique for monitoring the performance and progress of a project.

And is the most useful means of measuring the true health of your project.

Earned Value Management is used extensively in traditional waterfall type projects but not so much in rapid product development projects using an Agile/Scrum process. Because, maybe it’s considered too hard and time consuming with no real benefit.
