About This Class

Ho Ho Ho! It’s Christmas time! In this course, you will learn to do beautiful symbols of Christmas and winter in general, the ones we enjoyed mostly in our childhood.

The first one is the traditional tree decorated for Christmas, which has its origins in the Renaissance, in early modern Germany and was decorated with candles, wafers and apples!

The second one is the gorgeous snowman, with the carrot nose, scarf and the cap, for the cold days of winter!

You will learn to make pieces of clothing like sweater, cap, scarf and of course gloves(decorated with a heart) that will help you to make that snowman right:D How to warm yourself in those cold days of winter? With a hot cocoa, for sure! You will create a wonderful cup, decorated with a snowflake.

You could invite your friend and family to give them the traditional present, tied up with a big bow! Aaand last but not least, the lovely Rudolf, the most beautiful deer of Santa!

1. Welcome: Hi, my name is George, and in today's course, you will learn how to make this wonderful Christmas pattern. You will have so much fun creating 12 illustrations for this beautiful pattern. Don't worry about anything. This is a very simple course. It might seem complicated, but you will enjoy every moment and you will be encouraged. Do everything from start to finish. You will illustrate a reindeer. He will illustrate a three, a glove, a hat, a scarf, and even a snowman and many more illustrations. Each illustration takes about five to ten minutes, so they're quite simple to make. And you will learn a lot about the procreate app. For this course, you will need the Apple pencil, an iPad, and the procreate app. Let's get into that Christmas vibe and make a beautiful pattern. 2. Christmas pattern color palette: You will need to create a 4 thousand by 4 thousand canvas with 12 players. This is very easy to do. In case you can make it bigger. If you have a better iPad, then you can make it bigger. You will need about 12 layers, 4 thousand by 4 thousand pixels is good enough. Okay? And you will find in the description a color palette called Christmas. In case you do not want to make it yourself, you will find it over there. And let's just start to make a beautiful color palette by adding and new palette just over here. And title ingot Christmas. Okay, titling it Christmas. There you go. And going in to create a beautiful color. First of all, let's make a red at Christmas. See red. Just like that. Maybe it's a little bit to think. A little bit more red. And there you go. Our first red. And going in and sliding and making blue teal, just like that. And of course, a darker one just over here. This ballot will have more colors by d N. As you paint. You will also be able to create those colors or you can already find it in the description of the course is like that. And not a red, darker red just over there. And making it a little bit lighter and a lot more desaturated chest over there. And going in and going for the background. This will be the background color for all the illustrations. And going in and renaming the layer two hats. Just like that. Hit Enter and then going in and going into the color palette, selecting the white that you will find just over here and the second one. And put the brush called syrup. You will find this brush on their inking. You can now start to make some squiggles. For the hat. On the top of the hat, you will see it just now just squiggles. Just like that. Half the edge should be like a cloud. Very nice. Super easy to make. Don't make it too big, make it small enough. And just like that going in and creating a more dark color hue to have it's a little bit different than the background. So at will. Seemed like a shadow. Once you've all felt locked the layer you can now go in and make color. Okay, you will find this new color on there. There. It's the third at the bottom. And making a shadow onto the right side of the small little clowns, let's say the cloud of the hat. And just going in and renaming a new layer, two hat to number two. There you go. And going in straight for the color, the teal. And for this shape, you will need to make almost like a bell shape. But it doesn't go like a skirt. At the bottom is just the simple belt shape. Just like that. And connect it together. Once you've connected it, you can take the color and drop it. Take it, what are your pen and drop it on to the middle of the shape. Okay? Once that is done, you can go into inking with the eraser and select the same brush and start erasing if the contour of the hat is a little bit junkie. As you can see, just correcting a little bit of the hat over, they're going to a darker color, alpha locking the layer. Just like that. And you can start to make a little bit of a shadow onto the right part of the hat. Okay, this might be way too dark, so let's make a new color. You will find it on your palate. If you download it. And just going in and making a beautiful shadow onto the right side of the hat. Let's saturate a little bit more and see if we can. Yes. And looks much much better now. Okay. Going in with the smudge tool onto the middle, just over there to smooth out just a tiny bit of that edge to give it a little bit more of a fluffy feel. Dislike that going into this syrup brush and now making with the same color. Some lines just like that. It's going from the outside. Very simple shapes, very simple techniques. Continuing with the hat, just adding a new layer and calling it hat three. Just like that. Perfect. Now going in with the dark, medium dark color and making a beautiful hat shape at the bottom. Just like that. A beautiful Square and beautiful rectangle. A little bit bumpy like a below, fluffy. And just going in and erasing a little bit of the edges to make it smaller. Once you've done that, you can go into the darker color, the darker red alpha log the layer and add some shadow onto the right Bart and at the bottom just over there. Okay. And smoothing a little bit of that with the smudge too, with the syrup brush selected. And just like that, increasing the size just a tiny bit to make it much easier to smooth out that edge is like that going over the edge. Now going in width, the reds, the first red created, selecting it and making a small little zigzag onto the hat. And just like that, this is the first illustration, Perfect. 3. Christmas pattern sweater: Okay, for this next illustration, you will need another 4 thousand by 4 thousand pixel canvas. Once you've done that, you can go back to gallery and select the two illustrations that do canvases and stack them together just so everything is kept together and you have an order. But you can also rename the stack to Christmas pattern. You can go in and title the artwork. It's going to be a sweater or a blouse. Blouse, just like that. An ugly sweater. Okay. It's not going to be ugly, but it's going to be fun. Okay, going into the color and getting the darkest breadth, adding a new red, this is the red to that is going to be used for the blouse and going in for the neck area of the blouse, making just over there the sweater and two lines indicating the hands, the arms of the sweater. Just like that. Going in and cutting too beautiful arms, doubling the lines inside of the sweater. Don't worry too much about the shapes. You will get to edit them with the eraser if you so, choose. Dropping in the color. Very easy to make. Super simple shape of a sweater. Going and making the hands a little bit bigger. It's a super simple shape, two rounded rectangles on the right and left side and not a one in the middle. Just like that, you're racing a little bit of the shapes on the outside to make it more nice and sweet. Selecting a darker color. Just like that. And going in for adding some accents with this color. This over there and in the middle, just the line. Or you too much about the line's a simple rectangle. You can now choose another beautiful color that you will find just over there. Go in and zoom in to the sweater. And going on to the wrench icon, let's first add another layer and call it pattern or a snowflake. Going into the wrench, going to preferences. Well, learning preferences, but in canvas, canvas and drying guide. Going into the trawling God and editing the drawling guide go into symmetry. And going to guide Options and select the quadratic, put it into the middle of the sweater. And now go in with the beautiful silver brush, make it smaller and the new beautiful color. Just like that, make it a bit, a bit lighter and a little bit more the saturated. It will find this new color just over there. And just like that, you can start to make a beautiful snowflake just going from the middle. And it's like this. It's super easy to make. Yours might look quite different. Just play around, use this chess like that. You can also go on to the right side and create some snow, some longer ones, and then add beautiful shapes at the nth. Connect them. It's delivered there. And inside. Making the middle a little bit thicker and at the top, just adding more and more details until the snowflake looks quite nice. Okay. Let's add a little bit more. Just over here and inside. Ok, you can also delete, used the syrup brush with the eraser and make a beautiful middle. This, so it looks much better. Once you've done that, you can move this snowflake a little bit to the left, so you have space to make another one. Let's go into the sewer brush and make another snowflake. Okay? Perfect. Knowing and to the middle, just playing around. If you don't like it, you can always go back and undo. Just like that. Verify that this is a more chunky snowflake. It drank too much water. Okay, going in and finishing this snowflake, Snowbird, they're very beautiful. Going into the eraser and making some small dots just here and there to add some variety to the snowflake. Once you've done that, you can go into this selection tool and select the left-hand side, snowflake and duplicating it, selected. Just like that with a selection tool and duplicating this. Now, just moving it to the right side. Now, you have tweed beautiful snowflakes on your beautiful sweater. Okay? This is how it looks. Going into the first layer and selecting the blouse color to edit a little bit of the shape of this brown line underneath. It looks a bit a bit too thick. Okay. Just over here, making it and disconnecting it just a tiny bit to make it more interesting, erasing a little bit of the outside if you want, just like that. And the sweater is almost done. Just over here. Perfect. There you go. Okay. In case you forgot to put the background to the sweater, you can go back to the sweater. And just like that, getting and selecting the background color from the color palette just over there. Perfect. And let's go into the next step. 4. Christmas pattern sweater background: Ok, in case you forgot to put the background to the sweater, you can go back to the sweater. And just like that, getting and selecting the background color from the color palette just over there. Perfect. And let's go into the next step. 5. Christmas pattern tree : Okay, just to make it easier on yourself, you can select an illustration just over here and duplicate the layer. Once you do that, you already have a 4 thousand by 4 thousand pixel canvas. You can just rename it to three. This is going to be a Christmas tree. You can go in clear. Just over there. You can find that clear. You can undo the alpha log, select the second layer alpha lock, clear, just over there. Going into the last one. Undoing the alpha lock and clearing everything, renaming this to three. And this 1232. Just like that, just over there. Once you've done that, you can go back to the first layer, select the darkest color with the inking brush in your hand. The syrup brush make it quite, quite big and do a beautiful triangle just like this. Okay? Just a beautiful rounded shaped triangle. It has rounded corners as you can see. And filling it in just over there and the small dots. Okay. You can go into the eraser and cut a little bit of the shapes. So with resembles beautiful triangle just over there. Once you've done that, you can duplicate the layer. Go in and position at chest above. Just like that. Make it a little bit smaller, Center it just over here. And go in to the hue saturation and brightness. And select layer, not pencil layer. Okay, first, let's select the hue, saturation and brightness and the layer, and bring it a little bit to the lighter side. Okay? Once you've done that and you can put it just over here, you'll already have the color on your palette just over there. Merge the two together. Well, let's not merge them first. Let's duplicate it first and move the new duplicated layer above and make the triangle smaller, just like that. Going back into the hue saturation and brightness, you can go in and onto the layer side just to make the color a little bit brighter. Once you've done that, you can merge, squeeze and merge all the three beautiful triangles just over there. You can erase a little bit at the top. If you have the same problem that it looks quite round at the top. Perfect. Once you've done that, you can go into the selection tool, that movement, just like that and shape. With the wrap tool? Yes. Selecting it and making it a tiny bit bigger and squeezing it from the middle. As you can see, you can squeeze the middle so it has longer bottom corners, just like that. And squeeze the middle. Once again. Move it a little bit up to give it just a tiny bit more. Shape. Looks quite beautiful. Okay, going into a dark, dark reds, moving this layer up and selecting the bottom layer just over there and making a tree trunk just like that, a small stump, a super-easy, It looks like an ice cream. And now select the two layers, the getter, and move them a little bit more into the center. Select this beautiful white just over here, and going into the air brush and selecting the hard brush just from over here and making it quite big or small. Start to make some beautiful decorations onto the Christmas tree. You can make the brush bigger or smaller to make different sizes of declarations or the cold. Christmas balls? Yeah. Something like that. Okay. Just over here making another one. And the big one doesn't seem that round, so let's make it bigger and just clicking it. You can also tap on the pencil and make lighter ones. Just like that. You can make different shades of white, let's say just over there, adding some beautiful Christmas. Looks so good. Okay. Once you've done that, you can go onto the three alpha Labda layer, go into a breadth. You can find that it's the fourth color. And you can go into the first, select the syrup, the inking sera brush. And just going and making some lines to this like that. Very simple curved lines from the left to the right, making it a bit smaller, maybe a bit bigger. Just small adjustments. Okay. And the last two ones. Perfect. Okay. Once you've done that, you can add another layer, call it, rename it to star. Knowing into the wrench. Calling to the drawing died, editing the drawing guide and selecting the last on symmetry, selecting the last option. Okay. Click Done. Go into the center, select the lightest color first. Undo the beautiful decorations so you can see a little bit better what you are doing. Take the syrup brush and in the middle, start to make a beautiful star. Just like that. Perfect. Once you've done that, go very big on. It. Doesn't matter if it's too big, you can always just make it smaller. This is a different option, so it's not a quadratic symmetry. It's, it has six lines of symmetry. And it looks even better than the first snowflake. It's more of a star. Now just going and moving this and making it smaller to put on top of the beautiful christmas three just over here. Okay, going back and selecting all the layers except the star, not just the three. You'll see why in a few seconds, okay? Selecting that and putting it over there, lower into the center. You can now place the star just above it. Make it bigger, smaller however you want. Just like that, place the beautiful 3n, then go into the star, selecting it, making it bigger, smaller, just over there, and positioning it just above the tree. Now you can take the star, the layer of the star and put it below the three. So it seems like it is connected. Now going in and putting the Christmas decorations back on the three. And the beautiful stump of the three, just the per dare going in and putting it lower. That's why it would have been better to select all layers except the star, editing the shape, distorting it to make it a little bit thinner. And there you go with this illustration as well. 6. Christmas pattern cup: Okay, duplicating the sweater illustration. You need to first select it and then duplicated this going back selecting it and duplicating the layer. Very easy to do. And let's rename this to cup. Very simple and easy. Okay, you need to duplicate this layer in order to have a snowflake already on to the illustration so you don't have to do another one. No gay. You choose whatever snowflake you want out of the three. And just erase the other two, or delete the layer. Perfect. Once you've done that, you can go onto the glyph icon and make the snowflake a little bit bigger with the uniform tool just over their position at N to the center. Just like that, and hide the layer by unclicking it, make another layer, drag it to the bottom, and then call it Cup. Very easy to make a beautiful cup. Selecting the syrup brush and the second red color, the very dark burgundy, just like that. And with the syrup brush, making it very big, start adding a beautiful line just above the half line of the canvas. Extend that line, just make it like that. And you can add a bit, a bit of a circular shape, Do it now, okay, as you go down, you can use the tool. If you hold the pencil down, then the shape can be edited. The arc is edit the ark and make it just over there. Once you've done that, you can go into the transform tool and make it a little bit bigger, as well as distort it to make it just a tiny bit more Interesting and cup looking, drag the color and fill it in. Okay, going back to the cup, you can also erase a little bit of the bottom just so it doesn't look like it's going to fall down. It has a little bit of a straight edge at the bottom. Once you've done that, you can add a beautiful handle for the cup. Very easy to make in case you want to make it thicker, you can always make it thicker. Just over there. And this is on the same layers still. And once you feel happy, but the small curve of the handle, you can also add a little bit at the bottom, just to indicate that it's connected to the cup. Let's tick the snowflake and put it just in the center, just a little bit below the center of the cup and distorted just a tiny bit. Put the wrap tool or the distort tool to make it more interesting, to make it look like it is on the cup. Once you've done that, you can go back to the cup, select a lighter color. A lighter red alpha lock the layer and you can start to make a circle into the middle of the cup at the top. Okay, let's undo that and make a beautiful circle and hold down the pencil. Just like that, edit the shape and you can drag it around to make it perfect? No. Okay. Just over here, position it just about right. Dragon the color. It doesn't need to be perfect. Oops, little bit too much. Let's hold down the pencil and drag it to the left so it doesn't fill all the space. Going into the Eraser tool with the syrup brush, you can erase the corners just a little bit to make the cup a little bit more presentable. Okay. If you would like to make the cup different colour, you can always select the color and drag it onto the cup just like that. And select a darker color and drag it onto the top of the cup. Just like that. Select the darker color, drop it into the bottom and you get dropped another color onto the snowflake. Once you select the layer. Let's go in for this beautiful shape. Perfect. Okay, positioned the snowflake a little bit more central, just like that, and selecting a darker color going onto the cup and going for spray pains, select the medium spray paint. Ok. Make it quite big and just add a little bit of a shadow just onto the right part of the cup, just over there. Perfect. You can also add a little bit of a highlight with the same spray paint at the lip of the cup, just over here, just the small line. And then add a little bit more list over there to illustrate the highlight. And there you go with this step as well. 7. Christmas pattern glove: And gt again and duplicating the beautiful blouse. Just over here. Duplicate and get going into the illustration and renaming it to glove. This is going to be a little bit of a globe, super easy to make. And just going into the layers, right now, clicking on them, clearing them, just like that. Going into the pattern, clearing the pattern as well. Going into the last one and clearing that one as well. Undo the drawing guide and go in. Select the Fourth Red. And just like that, you can go into the inking and select the syrup brush. Make it very big. Add a nice arch at the top. And another smaller arch. Just like this to indicate a finger in a very simple shape. And going in and connecting the two together just so you can drop the color. Also, erase a little bit of the shapes. If you want to edit those beautiful rounded shapes going in from the finger making it smaller, this like that. And of course you can go in and select another beautiful color, the white at the bottom, the third one. And make the cuff is called the caf. Yes, it is. I hope so. Making the cuff of the love with some white just like that and filling it in. You can fill it in by hand or you can just drop the color in. This delivered their perfect. Now you can go and alpha lock the layer. It can go into a beautiful blue color. Maybe the fourth one or the first one. Let's see how it looks. Just like that. Adding some lines, just coming over from the left to the right. And you can add some lines onto the finger as well. Maybe they're a bit too thick. Let's undo them or make them smaller. And add three beautiful lines. Just like that. Once you've done that, you can go in and create a beautiful heart. Very simple to make. Don't worry too much about the shape in case you want to edit the shape, you can always go into the red color that you just had, the fourth one. And you can edit that shape with this brush, making the heart smaller, round there. And overall, just more beautiful in case you feel like the color is too intense of the blue, you can always just drop a little bit of the shape, a little bit of the color. Test over top of it. Okay, just positioning it test over there. And of course, going in and selecting a darker blue just from over here, dropping it onto the heart, just like that and onto the lines. So it creates a different vibe to the glove. Okay, just over there. And the last two lines, you need to zoom in a little bit and put that being done, the glove is done. That love is finished. Look at how easy it was. Let's go into the next step. 8. Christmas pattern scarf: Oh, hey, for the next illustration, you will need to select the blouse and duplicate it. It's very important that you duplicate the blouse, the sweater, and rename it to scar. Very simple. It's important because you're going to use the three snowflakes as a pattern on the scarf. Ok, let's make a new layer and rename it to scarf Mary. Nice. Okay. With that being done, you can now put it at the bottom and select the two layers with the beautiful snowflakes and you can move it and enlarge it quite a bit with the uniform tool. Make them quite big like this. Okay? Once you've set them there, you can undo the snowflakes and start working on the scarf with the fourth red color and the syrup brush. Now, you can start by making around circle, round, oval, and two sides of the scar. It's very important to make this scarf this way because it will be used and repurposed for the snowman. As you can see, it's a very simple shape. And then after doing that, just make a beautiful line at the top just indicating a naught. And from that not the end of the scarf is going down. And as you can see, and going onto a darker color, a darker red to make the nth, making another layer, placing it at the bottom and renaming this scarf. And to Scarf too. Perfect. You can start to make the same shape just going down as you can see, just like that would have darker color. It now looks a little bit better. Going on the first one and erasing the top line. You don't need that. Okay. And going into the two and positioning it quite in the center, making it a bit bigger, just so it's positioned quite right. Once you've done that, you can select the two layers, thick them, and make them visible. Select them together and rotate them until they fit the end of this scarf just over there. You can also make them a little bit bigger and then go to the wrap and wrap it around. So it seemed like they go with the curve of the scarf. Just like that. Very simple repurposing the snowflakes. That super-easy. And you can see they have a slight twist. And they follow the shape. And just now, selecting that color, that pink, you can find it at the end over here. And making a zigzag on to the actual scarf. Just going on the scarf and alpha locking the layer and making a zigzag. Okay? You can make a small one at the top, or you can just make it once again until it's as beautiful as you want. And another one at the bottom, and then a bigger one in the middle. The Christmas vibes are real. And there you go with this step as well. In case you want to erase the corners of the scarf and make it more round. That can be done as well. 9. Christmas pattern snowman: Okay, for this illustration, you will make a snowman first select the scarf layer and duplicate it. You will need to rename this layer to snowman. This will be the snowman illustration. Just like that snowman. Once you've renamed this illustration, you will need to go in the hat, go to layers, select all layers by swiping to the right. Once you've done that, you can go and pick up the layers. Use your other hand to go back onto the snowman illustration and just pick and put them on the layers. As you can see. Once you've done that, you can merge the three layers together and make them smaller. Make the hat much, much smaller. So you can put it on the top of the snowman on head. Perfect. Once it is quite small, you can go on to the scarf as well and merge those four layers as well, selected, make the scarf smaller and position it where the neck would kind of be. Okay. Once that is done, you can take a look and see if it's in the correct position. Make another layer and call it body. Perfect. Once you've done that, you can go into the white, the whitest white, The second one. Choose the sewer brush, make it very big, and start making the first circle of the snowman. Don't worry that the body is on front, in front of the scarf. Make the second shape, tried to make it a little bit more straight. Then over here just make it more straight and then making another bigger circle at the bottom. Just like that. Once that is finished, go and patch up the small dots that remain. Placed the scarf layer on top and go into go and selected first. You can also change a little bit of the body, just a tiny bit. Then selecting the scarf and place this scarf, rotated and shape it. You can shape it with the distort tool until it fits the neck of the Wonderful snowman. You can also go into the rap tool and lower it down from little, just change it a little bit with the wrap tool until it fits and it looks quite good. Once you've done that, you can go into selecting the dark red, just like that, going onto the body layer and making the two eyes, very simple. Two rounded eyes go into lighter reds and make a beautiful smile. Just like that beautiful smile. And for the cheeks. Just making some small round thoughts. But the bigger Sarah brush with the pink just over there for the nose, you can select the first red and make it like a little, little beautiful carrots. Just a triangle. And you can curve up the top of the carrot. Ok. Just over here. And you can see by making the nose with this color, it still is in color palette, selecting a darker red to make for the hands. Very simple branches for the hands. You should remember to make them. The branches divide, not at the same point, like a fork. Just go a little bit lower or a bit higher as you can see just over here. So they seem more like a branch. Okay? Once you've done that, you can alpha lock the body, go into a darker white, the third from the left and the Sprite bank the medium, the medium go into a dark curve, finer, more beautiful color, and can increase the opacity just a tiny bit to make a little bit of a shadow onto the right side of the snowman. You can also pick a little bit of blue and take the opacity lower, very, very low, and add a deeper shadow just at the bottom. Okay, once you've done that, you can go into the next step. 10. Christmas pattern reindeer: Okay, you can duplicate the hat illustration by selecting it and duplicating. That's much easier. You don't have to change the color of the background. You'll already have three layers created and you can rename this illustration two reindeer. Okay? Once you've done that, you can click onto it, go to the first layer and call it body. Once you've done that, you can clear the layer and go on to the next one, clear that one as well, and clear the third one, undo the alpha log on both of those. Just like that. And go to the first, go to the second layer and rename that to antlers. Perfect. Hit, enter and go to the third one. And you can rename this to face. Perfect. Once you've done that, you can go onto the body, select the darkest brown, undo the alpha log of course, and select the darkest red. Just the second one over here. And you can start to draw in the body of the deer, the reindeer width, the inking brush, syrup. Perfect. Make it medium-size or make it extremely big, just like that, and make a just a beautiful rounded shape. And now let's make, make it have a beautiful hump on the back, just like that. This will be the pelvis of the reindeer to simple shape and a small little tail. You can edit the tail and the roundness of the pelvis area. Just like this with the eraser, they erase or has the syrup brush tool. And just like that, make it a little bit lower than the chest area. Okay. Once you've done that, you can go in and to a beautiful line is going down. But starting from the other side, it has a little bit of a slash, slight angle as you can see. And then once you've done that, you can go in and add a little bit of another line behind it. This will be the second leg. It's very important to set them both at the same time. Okay. And going in and making another one, just creating another line and connecting those two with two beautiful curves. These are very, very simple shapes. You just connect it as a funnel. It's a very stylized reindeer. And the outer one, just like that. You can curve it a little bit as well, just over there and into the back. Perfect. Just like that. Once you've done that, you can go into the front side legs and do the same straight line just like this and connect it. You can also extend it a little bit if you want, and erase the end just so you make it a little bit more pointy. Once you've done that, you can add curved line just going in to the body. And another one on top of it. At the side. As you can see, they are like blade on the inside. They are curved going to the, to the outside and on the outside they're going to the outside. Okay. With the second leg. Super simple and easy to do. Starting with the neck. The neck is very simple. It comes out of the body and then it becomes thinner as you go up. Just like this. A lot of animals have this kind of a neck and you can erase a little bit and make it seem like it okay. Grows out of the body as well as you can add a little bit of the curve back. Okay, once you've done that, start with the nose, make a round shape for the head. Just like this, and connect it together. Okay. Connected a little bit thinner. And just like that. Beautiful. He can make the head a little bit bigger if you want. Just a tiny bit, maybe. Oh, okay. Let's see. Let's make that had a little bit bigger. And start making two beautiful ears. It looks like a lemme, lemme, lemme know, tele. Perfect. Once you've done that, you can work a little bit on what the moving to, what the distortion tool and you can move it around, make it a little bit smaller so you have enough space for the adult learners. In case it's a little bit skewed, you can rotate it and make it perfectly in the center. Okay, go on to the antlers layer. Once you are on the outer layer, click on the drawing guide and edit it. Make it symmetrical with two lines and place it just in the middle of the head. As you can see, once you go in and draw, select the third line, the third color, and make the syrup brush a little bit thinner. And you can start with the symmetry. Just go with two curves slowly and then work your way up. As crown is like that. Some beautiful reindeer antlers. Is that tau are called. English. Ok. And going in, as you can see, they look quite beautiful. The symmetry tool is quite nice. And connect them together. Work slowly at your own pace and ad. Look around to see where you can add a little bit more antlers. And just going in and connecting, undoing if you made a mistake. These are very simple to make. And just like that, erasing a little bit of the bottom where they connect. And the big Bowlby ends. Okay? Adding a little bit of a finite touch. Once you've done that, you can undo the drawing assist and almost all antlers are a bit different. So we would need to undo the, okay, drawing assist from the layer. It's going to be a little bit, okay, go to the Layer and undo the drawing assist, okay? And you can add just a little tiny difference to each one, just so it looks just a tiny bit different. So it's not a perfect mirror because nature doesn't work that way. Okay? The antlers are done going onto the body alpha locking the body just like that, and going into lighter color just like that. And making it big and connecting this line just like this and making a beautiful belly color. Just adding a little bit of a beautiful look to the nose as well. And going in and taking a lighter color still and making the neck area just like this. Maybe that's a little bit too light. Let's make this color a little bit lighter. Okay. And add it to the front side of the neck. Okay. Just like that looks quite good. You can also do an S shape for it. You don't have to make it a rounded shape. Okay? Once you've done that, you can go in and add lighter color to the inside of the years, just like that. Okay. Going to the dark color back again and adding a beautiful i. And of course, going in on an undoing the alpha lock, you can edit a little bit of the neck because it looks like it breaks and you can do a smoother line on the back of the reindeer. Okay? Just like that. And with the first read, the most intense one, you can put a beautiful red nose. And there you go with this reindeer. It is done. 11. Christmas pattern gift: Okay, and for the last actual illustration of 4 thousand by 4 thousand pixel canvas and baking up just over here. The name of the layer, rename and get to gift. This will be a gift. Very, very simple and super easy to make. Going in and adding the background color, going and selecting a dark, beautiful blue and making rectangle, beautiful square, just like this. And if you hold a pencil, you can also edit the shape in order to make it a little bit more squarish. Once you've done that, you can make sure that the edges are nice and beautiful. Okay, let's see. Let's edit this corner. Perfect and drop inside a beautiful color. You can go in and alpha log the layer. Once you've done that, you can go in and select a beautiful red color and drag. Ok, let's make them a little bit more central. Okay, hold your pencil down to make it very straight. And just like that, making another line just over here, you can go and add another layer. Call it a bow tie or a tie, or however you want to call it, you can leave it as layer one if you want. This will be the bow of the gift. Select more light tone of the red and make the syrup brush smaller at a Beautiful circle and then to beautiful lines underneath it to add and make a beautiful bow tie, just like this. Doubling the sides. Very nice. And going in and making a lighter version, just adding on top some highlights just like this and a bigger one and not a one on the side. You can go in, in the watercolor and add on top of this one just a little bit of the color. Perfect. Once you've done that, the gift is almost over. You can also add some, a few details play around, but this lighter color if you want, just trying to connect this side, see if that looks better or just some squiggly lines just like this, thicker, thinner. However you want to see them. They seem a bit too thick, so let's just color them in just a little bit. Let's see if we can add a little bit of variety to the gift. Doesn't look that good. So let's undo, undo, undo, undo, and go in back. And just that, some simple lines. Just one here and one there, one there, and one there. Looks much better this way. Okay, and there is the last illustration In the next ones. We are just going to play around with colors and make new colorful illustrations Based on the other ones. 12. Christmas pattern cup 2: Okay, and now selecting the cup. And you wanna duplicate the cup, the blouse, the glove. Just like that, and the hat. Duplicate all of them. And Let's go and rename all of those. This will be cup to all you're going to do here is change the color of the cup just over here, going and going into a dark color and dropping it onto the shadow area. Don't worry if a little bit of blue is still showing, it's easily fixable. Okay? Back again and dropping an increasing, okay. That's good enough. Going and going to the pattern and adding a lighter shade just from over here. Just like that. Very nice and beautiful. Going back to the cup and going into the spray paints, selecting the dark color, increasingly opacity, and adding that beautiful dark color onto the side. Okay? And once you've done that, you can select the outer color and add a little bit on the edge. Of course, going in and erasing that highlight. Once you've done that, you can drop in and whoops, it can drop in to the darker side, to us like that, up in the dark color. Going to the inking brush, select the syrup and add that beautiful round edge that was lost. And just like that, checking a little bit of the colors and going back, this is the second cup that easy to change the colors. Okay, let's go to the next one. 13. Christmas pattern glove 2: And right now for the glove, renaming it to glove to, of course, click it, select the two, and let's go into it. This will be much, much more simple, much easier. Let's delete the layers that are not needed. Select a beautiful blue. Just over here. Selecting the dark blue and dropping it onto the love. Perfect. You can select it from the top. It's much easier. Once you've done that, you can added to all the red into the glove. Perfect. Okay, and for the small parts you might want to zoom in quite a bit. Once you've done that, you can select a beautiful red third one and add it to the beautiful heart. Decrease the strength, and there you go. The glove is done as well. Super, super nice. Let's go into the next one. 14. Christmas pattern sweater 2: Oh, a. And now for the sweater, just like this, click on it, go into the pattern and merge those two layers. Go and select the beautiful light blue. And going in for the pattern, select light-blue and drop it onto the middle one, select the darker blue and drop it onto the left pattern, the left snowflake. Once you've done that, can just take it from the top and drop it in. Just like that. If they are connected, they will draw quite easily. They will up quite easily. Okay, going in and dropping it on the right side as well. Once that is done, you can go in and add a even darker color to the whole sweater. Remembered the change layers. And you can start to see how these saturated the red looks. So you can change it to a more saturated red just so it seems a little bit more Christmas see, just the last few drops of color. And this illustration is done. Wasn't that so easy? 15. Christmas pattern hat 2: And for the last one being the hat, let's rename this through HAT number two. Just like this perfect Click on it, opened a layer. And let's select a different color. Let's think about it and select beautiful color, just this beautiful red, and drop it onto the actual hat. Is select this, read this from over here, this light red, and drop it in from the top. Just like this. Perfect. Once you've done that, you can go in and drop it on the right side. Just like this, and it will blend a little bit, but the outer shape, it's perfect. And over here, going in and adding a little bit of this beautiful color on to the edge to make it a little bit more fluffy. Super easy to do. Okay? Yes, like this. Perfects. Once you've done that, you can go in and select a different color of blue and add it to the other layer and edit to the zigzag. And there you go, the last illustration, and now we are going into the pattern. 16. Christmas pattern merging all the illustrations: Okay, and for the next step, you will need to create a beautiful new canvas. First, counting the illustrations in case you didn't make them all. You count and you need a canvas that has the exact number of layers, in this case, 13, if you made all the illustrations. Okay, going back to gallery and going into the gift, merge all the layers first and then you can drag it with the Apple pencil, go to gallery with the finger, and go back onto the canvas that has an EMT background. Ok. Now going to the cup, merging the layers of course, and going to the gallery, going to the first illustration and putting another layer with the cup. Wait until it shows up, go back the gallery, go on to the next illustration. Merge the layers if it's necessary and go to gallery, go back to it, and drop it onto the layer stab. Okay. This is very repetitive. Don't worry, if they look on top just like that and can also make a squiggle just like that with your pencil and you can drop it and it will import into the layers, okay? Merging all of the layers, of course, in case you didn't do that. And going back onto the illustration, doing the same, if it doesn't show up, you can put it on the layers. It's much simpler and more safe, okay? And case the iPad crashes or the layer doesn't show up, You can just restart the procreate app. You can put again the illustration onto the new Canvas. Okay, getting the snowman, adding it to the illustration just like that. Going to the scarf. Very nice and beautiful. Once again, if you haven't merged the layers, you can merge the layers just now. Going to the layers just over there and putting it emerge the layers by squishing down onto the beautiful layers. Taking the sweater, the blue one, just like that, and putting it onto the new illustration at the top, waiting until it shows up on certain illustrations. If you have a cheap iPad like mine, it will crash. But if you restart it, even if it's a complex illustration, we'll go back and do it. Once you've restarted, you can try again and it will show up going back. And for the three, this is a little bit of more complex illustrations. My iPad bill frees. You can already see it lagging behind bank. Okay. And as you can see, it froze. So had to restart the beautiful procreate app. It's not because of d app, it's because the iPad is the cheapest model with the Apple support. Okay, let's restart it. App by just swiping would all five fingers on one direction and then closing the app. Okay, now you can go back. Select the three. Take it once again. Go on to the illustration. Okay, click it. That's still lags a little bit behind, but it will show up this time. Once that is done, you can go into the reindeer? No. Okay. Going into it and putting the reindeer on top on the bottom, it doesn't really matter. Going to the hats and taking the hat just from over here and putting it onto the illustration just over there. Perfect. Let's open the layers and puts the second to last illustration. And now for the last one, just like that, taking the hat, ok, and taking it from over here and adding it to the beautiful illustration, Fairfax. Now you can select everything by swiping to the right on the layers. And you can see that's exactly what we are doing just over here. Once you've done that, you can go onto the clicky to the one that looks like a click. And you can make them smaller by dragging the corner and putting them, making them even smaller and putting them elsewhere onto the canvas just to the side. Ok, and selecting the first one and moving them a barked so you can see all the illustration and prepare it to the Ford the next step, okay, move the sweater as well. Try to have them where they don't touch or they don't meet. And of course, if it's a repeating object, you can just put it somewhere else so you can put it on another side so it doesn't look like they're super close together. If you want, you can scale down certain things if they feel too big, like for instance, the hat and the gloves, he can scale, scale them down and move them around so that they are to size. So they don't look huge compared to the three, compared to the sweater, or even the snowman, the cup as well. And making it smaller. So it doesn't look like it's a tub of Christmas beverages. Ok. And reindeer as well. And just like that, as you can see, it's much easier to resize them once you've already made them small. Okay? And the gift is okay. Once you've done that so you can go and re-position some of them to make them a little bit closer together. Perfect. Just over here and the sweater as a little bit down. And let's put it in the middle. Okay? Just like this, let's make the scarf a little bit smaller. And going in and merging all the layers just like this. And all of them just like that. And the last two of them going into the renaming tool and clicking what the finger, if just like this, the leading everything and calling it one. Okay? Once you've done that and you can go into the background and select the blue for the background. And in the next step, you will learn how to duplicate and make everything very nice. 17. Christmas pattern last details: Okay, once you've merged all the illustrations into one, you can go and swipe to the left and duplicate the layer, renaming it to two. Okay? Just so you know that there are two layers on top of each other and you now can just move it around, move them together, and make them a little bit smaller, just so they're the exact same size. Okay. And now selecting just one of them and placing it just below Ed, just over here. As you can see, tried to cut as little illustration as possible, even if they overlap quite a bit, you can always just select and move the other illustrations, okay, with the selection tool kit and now selected, you can go and take the hat from over here, put it somewhere else. And now the rotating it just a tiny bit, just so the illustration looks wonderful, okay, for the illustrations that have been cut out, you can now go around and select it on the outside. Unfortunately not this way. Okay, let's do another selection. So you go on the corner just over here and you go outside of the gammas just like that and reconnect it together. And you can just move it outside of the canvas and it disappears. Perfect. Placing the illustration a little bit better. Just like that. Let's erase a little bit of the illustration just there. And you can go back into the first layer and duplicated, rename it to three. This time. Perfect, rename it to three. Once you've done that, you can take it from error and move it once again. Just rotating it a little bit, seeing where it fits. It's just like puzzle. Missed the puzzle. Okay. And going in and placing the, placing it where it fits, playing it, playing with it, and placing it everywhere until we find a space for it. Okay. Let's see. This seems right, and let's just move the reindeer outside and the illustration at the bottom, let's them move them outside. And just like that, another placement has been done. Going back to the first one. You can take this beautiful three and place it. By duplicating it, you can place it somewhere else. You just select it and then click on duplicate at the bottom. Wonderful. Just going back and selecting the reindeer. This time, just zooming in if you need a little bit of detail. And to gloves. Just like that, selecting it, duplicating it, and then moving it around. Whoops. You'd need to be on the layer with the, with the illustration. So first go into the illustration, just like that onto the layer and then select it. And now you can move it freely. Once you've copied it. You can just, in case it didn't copy, you can select it once again and click on Copy and Paste. Perfect. Now you have a reindeer that you can move around and place somewhere else. Nice to fill in the spaces. Just like that. You can also erase a little bit of the corners in case you don't want to move what the selection tool, you can just erase it with the eraser. Okay, merge everything down and duplicated once again. Once you've done that, you can move it slightly to the left, just like that. Even though it overlaps quite a bit. You can move things around until some of them fit quite well. Perfect. Rotate a little bit. And you can do this thread query. You undo, undo a layer so you can see it beautifully. The seat where, what illustration as what, on what layer? And just like that and going on and taking those beautiful illustrations without cutting other illustrations. Super nice, perfect. Let's now move. Of course, we've got two illustrations. Lead, wonderful. It happens to the best of us. My god. Ok, doesn't matter. You can always delete or you erase the cut out illustration. Okay? You can start to see, you can now take the reindeer from over here. Affect. Once you've done that, you can move it around just over here where you have space for it. And erase the illustration that was cut out. Nice and the overlapping illustrations as well as the outside. Perfect. Okay. As you can see, it's almost there. Just going in any racing a little bit more, the cut illustration from over there. And going in and making another selection, this time for the cup and the sweater. Just like that around. And perfect. You can now move the two illustrations up where they need to be in the empty spaces. In case you still have some spaces leftover and can just go on to the first layer, select some items and duplicate them. Okay? Tried to select any items you like or any items that you feel are not enough onto the illustrations or if they fit because certain items don't fit in certain spaces. Okay. You've done that. Now. You can see all the illustrations. It could be better, but they are very diverse. They don't seem like it's very boring the illustration, even though it's just 12 illustrations, okay, merge everything together. And now you can do another selection to fill the spaces around, just taking this scarf and placing it, moving it, turning it around so it feels a lot more interesting. This is just the tweaking phase. You can just rotate and place things, make space for more, for more illustrations. Just by doing that, you can also duplicate the layer. Just like that and move just those two hats from over there to over here. Perfect, just so the illustration looks more full. Okay, still on the second layer. So even though on you're moving something, you just another way of moving stuff. You just move them and the duplicate that you are moving another later. And it can just move it around. And once that is done, you can merge the two layers. And there you go. This is the Christmas pattern illustration. You have done it. Congratulations, and Merry Christmas. Don't forget to leave a review and if you are gracious enough, you will post your creation. Thank you.
