Here, we empower you to

  1. Explore your 3 clues to discover your life purpose
  2. Learn what your real passion is and why you shouldn’t (only) follow your passion
  3. Discover your talents and boost them into mastery
  4. Learn how to not only live, but live a purposeful life by contributing to others
  5. Understand the paths of discovering and living your life purpose by learning from the experts
  6. Arm yourself to face all the upcoming life challenges
  7. Build and manage your network to scale up your impact
  8. Make your own legacy of life

To discover your life purpose, the most important person you need to ask, is you. To be more specific, you means your heart. This discovery process requires you to connect more with your heart, your true feeling, rather than your logic. This doesn’t mean you don’t use any logic at all, of course. But relying only on your logic will not get you to discover your life purpose. Your logic has been shaped by the influence of other people’s ideas and opinions. So regardless what are the ideas or opinions, your logic is not purely you. But what you truly feel, in your heart, is truly you.

1. Introduction: Life Purpose Discovery: finding and following your passions is not enough. More and more research keep showing that the more important and significant element that we need to discover and live is our life purpose. I'm sure all of us have had that questions to ourselves. What is the best career for me? What are my talents? What? It's my life purpose. And if we don't really know the answer to that whole heartedly, there's some discomfort inside that you're feeling. So we have a mystery. You have a mystery. What is my life purpose? And that is what this course is all about. In this scores, you will be solving the mystery of what is your life purpose? Every single step off the journey will be a very insightful and most importantly, practical experience for you to discover your life. 2. My “Why” That I Found in Belgrade: about 12 years ago, to be exact. It was in March 2000 and six. I was staying in a youth hostel for about a week in Belgrade, Serbia. I was therefore weekend. It was still winter. At the time. It was still really, really cool, especially for a tropical boy like me, because the temperature was below my understand Celsius. So it was really freezing in it. One morning I woke up, I was about to take a shower and the bathroom was outside. It's a shared bathroom, and as I was about to go to the bathroom, I saw that there is, ah, line and there's about maybe seven or eight people on the line there. So I had to wear on the line. The way to go to the bathroom to use the bathroom and right in front of me is this young guy, maybe in his late twenties. He's a Croatian guy. He's also visiting Serbia. At that time, I thought, while waiting on line, you start to have a conversation. I have no intention except just to have a conversation waiting for the line to move forward . That's it. And while we got the talk this guy's really, really friendly and he talked about the many kind of worst that he's doing the many kind of jobs that he has been doing and because he's also really friendly. So after like around 345 minutes talking with him, it seems like I kind of know him pretty well. At least that's what I thought and with no intention, except just to chick chat with him just to wait for the line to move forward. I asked him this question. So what do you want to do later in your life? And that question really, really surprising. You can really see in his body language like it's like saying that, man, How come I don't know what I want to do and I had no intention. I was just chit chatting and like when? Because he was like, really shocking that I got really shocking. I kind of feel uncomfortable honestly. But at that moment, even though previously before that I knew that not everybody know what he wants to do or she wants to do in his life in her in her life. But at that moment it felt like I moved into another level from just knowing to really understanding and believing, like wholeheartedly, that this is something super important that knowing your purpose in life is something that will directs the rest of your journey. So since that time I've been dedicating my time, my life to learn about the process of how people discover and live their life purpose. It has been amazing journey and very looking forward for the rest of the journey. And I've learned from people from across sectors across countries, across cultures across generations, even because you can learn not just from interviews. But you can also learn from biographies as well. And after leading from so many different people, it became very clear that there are very clear patterns faces that no matter what your culture or your gender, your sectors, your general, which generation you're coming from, there's the same face is that a person is going through in their process off discovering and living their life purpose and knowing that is very, very crucial. Why biggest? By knowing the faces, you can first become aware off where you are right now within that process within that faces A my here right now are my here and by first knowing where you are, you become aware of where you are. Then you know if you keep moving forward. If you keep pursuing this, which face you're going to go next. And what do you need to do to prepare yourself to move from one face to the next? And that's what we're going to learn Here is well, because knowing that can make your price of discovering and living your purpose become more efficient, more fulfilling and meaningful as well. Of course. So that's why. And I'm on my way in this program, your journey you're learning. It's not just about knowing what to do. It's not just about knowing what its life farmers and what to do to discover them. But the most crucial part is to actually do what you know, because there are so many people who learn great things. But it stays just as a knowledge in this program not only really learn what to do, but this program will make sure that you were doing what you need to do. That's what I'm on worries about. It's a process. That's why we called I'm on my biggest. It's a process life purposes adjourning, which will I'll explain as well later on in the next videos. Because, my friend, whatever you want to keep in your life, you need to make it a study. You want to become a chemist, then you to study chemistry. You will become a biologist than you studied biology. You want to become a great leader than you study leadership. You wanna be happy, then you learn happiness. You want to discover your purpose. You want to live your purpose. Then you study purpose. Whatever you want to achieve in your life. Make it a study. And I guess that's why you're here as well. And I'm going to guarantee when you learn, reflect and apply, this is going to be alive. Changing program. And it's not just about discovering. Remember, I keep seeing, discovering and living your life purpose, which we will go through in the next video. See you in the next video. 3. What is Life Purpose? What is Not Life Purpose?: Welcome back. Remember that story that I told you in the previous video about the creation guy who got really shocked when I asked him? So what do you want to do later in your life? He got really, really uncomfortable. He is experiencing an uncomfortable experience internally because of that question. And remember what I told you as well in the previous video that there are patterns of faces that people are going through in their press off discovering and living their life purpose , regardless of their sectors or cultures or countries, religions or even generations. And the first face that a person will go through in their process of discovery and living their purpose is a face that I call a discomfort face an internal discomfort. So it means you're even though your basic needs are met already. Yet somehow you still feel something is missing, that there is an internal discomfort feeling that you're experiencing. And when you experience that, just like what that operation guy was experiencing. Because of that question, it might not feel good. Of course it's discomfort, but it is actually a great thing to experience when it comes to the price off you discovering your life purpose and then living it because everybody experience that part. But what made the difference whether that experience will lead him or her to discover and live their life, purpose or not is how they respond to that experience. You can have this center or discomfort because of question that you cannot really answer related with yourself about what is my passion. Why am I here? Or water my talents and so on and so forth, or an intern or discomfort because of what's going on in your surroundings as well? That can also be a trigger to have an intern discomfort as well, and everybody who were ableto discover and live their life ever go through the space. So in a way, it's a good thing, but and now you know. So again, the most important thing is how you respond to it. And there are three types of response. The 1st 1 is what I call playing victim. It is when someone experiencing this discomfort and then responding or reacting, let's say, buying an answer or something like this wall. Well, that's life. Life is stuff, you know. Life is not easy. So just you know, accept it. That's what I call just playing victim. And then the second respond is what I call a short term solution. Because not knowing the answer to this question is making you to feel this uncomfortable feeling. It doesn't feel good, right? So you try to distract yourself from feeling that kind of emotion by what? And you're with my friends. I go to something that I like and you know, nothing wrong with that, of course. But that kind of response. It doesn't really actually answer that question, doesn't it? So it can make you feel good for a moment. But you'll just wait for the time because that question will come back to you. So it's just a short term solution. And then there is the third kind of response where you actually try to explore and really, really go deep into trying to find the answer to those questions. And those who were able to discover and live their purpose are the ones who chose to respond with 1/3 kind of response, and even that, And it is very important, even off those people who are responding with 1/3 kind of response Many of them are still facing challenges. And why is that? There are still so many people who have a misunderstanding about what life purpose is. Let me give you an example if let's say my understanding off life purpose is this this pen this life purpose, right? We're actually life purpose. Is this glasses, for example? So this is what I should be trying to find, right? But instead off trying to find this. I've been using my time, my effort to discover this to find this because I have a misunderstanding about why this life purpose It's supposed to be this one. But I've been looking for this because this is what I thought. Life purposes. And this is what happened with so many people. Even though they're still there really trying. They're responding with 1/3 response right to find the answer. But they're still facing a lot of challenges because of this misunderstanding. And there are four main misunderstandings that I would like to share with you. And this is very, very important as well, because this is where we're going to start, my friend, before we go on how to discover and then live your purpose. We need to get on the same understanding first, with the right understanding about what this life purpose and what is not life purposes. Well, so let's start from there. What is not life ever is to come and misunderstandings four of them. Number one. When I ask people what is your life or was so often I hear this kind of response. My life purpose is to become a pilot, to become a doctor, to become a writer, to become a musician's whatever it ISS. When you say your life purposes toe be something or to achieve something, you are making your life purpose as a target. However, you don't a chief your purpose, you live your purpose and there is a big, huge difference. When you achieve something, it means you're making it a target. You can achieve your target as an example. If someone asked me what is my life purpose? My purpose is to enable people to discover and live their life purpose, enabling people to discover and live their life purpose. And that is something that I live every single day. It's not something that I achieve what you achieve. This your target. I'm not saying that you should not make a target. You must make a target is very important as well, but targets or things to be achieved. They have a different function. They're not the purpose. For example, if let's say I'm make a target, that in this year by the end of this year I would like to be able to enable one million people so they can discover their life purpose and start living it. And then by the end of the year, I'll make an evaluation and see whether I achieved my target or not. But the target itself, the one million people, it's not my purpose. So targets have a function to measure the quality off, how good or how bad you're living your life purpose. If let's say I make a target off one million and then by the enough of the year I was only able to facilitate and enable people like, let's say, 10,000. So it shows that this year I'm not living my life for bus as good as I want to be. So you see the difference? The one million is not. The purpose is the target, and the target is not the purpose. So do not define your life purpose by a target. It has a different function that's the first misunderstand the most common misunderstanding . And also, by the way, if you define your purpose by a target once you achieve it, then what's next? Now the second misunderstandings that so many people have about life purpose is to define life purpose as a single profession. What is your purpose again? The same thing, like like the one before. Actually a doctor, a lawyer, a writer, an actor, whatever it ISS. If you ask me what is my profession? I'm a writer. I'm May program Simon entrepreneur. And then what else? I mean, I'm a trainer. I'm a coach. You name it. Do not define your life or was just by a single profession. Why? Because professions are just tools that you can choose or even create. You can create your own profession, right? They're just tools that you can choose or create to live your purpose as best as you can. Like my example earlier. I'm writing on making videos right now and then create a program, become an entrepreneur and then I what else I like? I said. I give trainings and coaching and so on and so forth. Those are just methods that I can choose. And also if I define my purpose, let's say to train people to give trainings to people so so they could discover and live their life purpose without me even realizing it. It might given impact to me and affect me as if the only way to enable people is by giving trainings as if to become a trainer is the only way to get people to discover and live their purpose. But it's not so that's what I mean. Do not define your purpose just by a single profession and also, by the way, professions. Some of them can go extinct. And then again, there will be new professions as well. 200 years ago, you don't hear a profession called youtuber or, um, social media expert. Whatever is because not there yet doesn't have to go to 200 years. Maybe just like 30 years ago or 20 years ago, and also today you don't really see a lot off. You know, people whose profession is like a typewriter, like the old typing like pop pop pop pop pop that's pretty much gone or before electricity was found back the days when the sun was about to set. There are people who are professions are carrying their torch there, turning on the lamps or the light on the street. But when electricity and the lamps were become like a common thing to to have this profession are long gone, so you'll never know, because again, professions are just methods, basically tools that which method is the best one, the best ones, because again could be more than one to facilitate you to live. Your purpose is best as you can, so do not define it by just a single profession. Second misunderstanding that is the 3rd 1 and there's also pretty coming is all. When asked people, So what is your life purpose? To be happy or to be useful to people, I want to be someone who is useful to my family or about someone was useful toe my society again. No, that's good. I'm not saying this is bad. It's good, of course, But my friends, if you're a life and you're not being useful, it means you're insignificant. It means whether you're here or not, it doesn't matter. Oh, I hope we're not being significant. Buy in a native way, right? So the problem with that kind of answer is that it's too broad. It does not make you focus and how you're going to live your life. It's just the same thing. Like you're saying, for example, this phone. If I ask what is the purpose of this phone? Oh, to make people's life easier while every single product is made to create at least one person's life easier if not many people, right? But the purpose of this morning says the means of communication. So it needs to be more focused, then just saying it to make people's lives easier and and we'll get that as well. And the fourth misunderstandings about life purpose is to define your purpose only within the circle off your family. This is the kind of answers that I often got assume to make my parents proud. Where's your life over to make my parents proud all, or to be a great dad or a great mom or a great wife or a great husband again, that's good. But if you're married, then you need to be a great wife or husband. If you have a child, you need to be a great mom or dad. So it's something that you can say a compulsory that comes with it, right? That's called being responsible, and your potential is way bigger than just doing something for your family circle. But let me get this Point Street. I am not saying that if you're discovering, if you discover your purpose and then you're living your purpose and your marriage just fall apart or you're not taking care of your chalice, you supposed to. I'm not saying that that should come first, of course, because, like I said, it's part of the responsibility of becoming, ah, husband or wife or a father or a mother, right or even a child as well. To their parents, however, do not just stay within that circle. That's what I'm trying to say, But still what? It's part of your responsibility to take care of that as well, of course, So having that clear now, let's get to define widest life purpose, right? We're clear with the common misunderstanding. It's not This is not this not that is not that. So what is it? What is life where? Let me give you a simple analogy with this phone. What kind of values that this bone could generate? It could be used for many, many things. You can use this to make a phone call to send SMS a text message. You can use this to open your social media. These social media taken uses as an alarm. You can listen to music. You can take pictures with this. If there's a bunch of papers and there's a win coming, you can put this on the stack of paper, so to make sure it doesn't no fly away all over the place. Maybe so, maybe so many different values that you can get from this phone. And by the way, when we talk about purpose, there are a few principles that you need to remember, and this should be part of the mind set as well. Number one is talking about life. Purpose is a long term thing, so you need to think from a long term perspective. The second thing is that when it comes to purpose, it is not a situational thing. What does that mean? For example? Yes, there are some situations where the alarm off this phone will be very, very useful, right? There are some situations where the calendar off this one will be very, very useful. But purpose is not a situational thing. So I asked you earlier What are the many values that this phone can generate? So many, right? But in the long term and not situational, what would you think is the main purpose the purpose off this phone as a means of communication, regardless off which features that you're using to communicate, whether it's to make a call or or from social media, he mailed whatever it ISS. So the purpose of this phone is as a means to communicate. And why would you say that the purpose is to be used as a means of communication? Because in the long term and not situational, the phone is generating its biggest impact when it is being used as a means of communication, which also leads me to tell you this third principles the third mindset that you need to remember to keep as well when it comes to purpose, long term, not situational. And it is something that is continuous. That is why you live your purpose instead of achieving your purpose. Why's it continues again? For example, you don't use this phone to communicate. And then just after, okay, it's being used as its purpose and just throw it away. Now the more you use this phone to communicate, meaning the more you used to spoon a line to its purpose, the bigger the impact that this spoon can generate. So it's like a snowball effect. The more you live your purpose, the bigger the impact that you can generate. So if the purpose of this phone is as a means to be used to communicate, so when it comes to us as human beings, when we were doing what continuously could we generate the biggest impact? When we discovered the answer to that question, then we discover our purpose, and from one person to another, the answer could be different. So your life purpose is the thing that if you do it continuously, you live it day Today would be able to generate the biggest impact from yourself through others and others is not just other people but the society, the world around you. Why only two others, first of all, when you live your purpose. It will also give ah positive impact to yourself. It's sense of contribution, that sense off growth, that sense off meaning and fulfillment. But the SS, the concept off purpose itself, is always in serving off others. Let's get back to this phone analogy again. This phone does not serve itself. It does not generate value to the phone itself. It generates value to us, the users. And if you think about it, every single creation was not created to give or generate value to that creation itself, but to others. Again, I'm not saying you should not do anything that make you happy. Off course you should. You must actually. But let's make sure we understand the essence off purpose of life purpose itself. It is to serve others is always in serving off others and through serving others through generating values to others. You will also get that sense of fulfillment as well. The camera that is being used right now to shoot this video. Its purpose is not to generate value to the camera itself, but did the ones who are using it or the bookshelf same thing, right? So the essence is always in serving off others. So let's get back to that definition again. Your life purpose is a thing that when you do it continuously on a long term basis, not just situational, it will enable you to generate the biggest impact from yourself to others. And again, the answer that question from one person to another can be different. And this program is about how to discover that more efficiently, more effectively, of course. So in a way, think about it. Now we have this question, right? What is my life purpose? What is my life purpose? And when we know the answer to that question, it means we know our life purpose. So let's treat this question as a mystery because it is a mystery. Actually, it's a mystery. So from here on, you are going to become a detective because we have this mystery now what? It's my life purpose, right? It's a mystery, and you will become a detective for yourself so we can use the approach of a great detective when they're trying to solve a mystery. And when a defective has a case, it is important to find the right clues to help him or her to solve the case, and that's what we're going to do as well. Because in this program you will learn the clues on how to discover your life purpose as well as what to do with those clues. How can we use that clue and how can we investigate as well? So until we meet in the next video, which I'm going to break down, how to define a purpose, how to define in terms of statement, how to define a life purpose statement and a member that your life is your responsibility. And I believe that is why you are here in this program because you want to take responsibility. You want to take charge on discovering your own life forms and living that purpose. So until we meet again to the next video 4. How to Define Your Life Purpose Statement?: welcome back briefly. As I mentioned in the earlier video, I would like to explain to you how to define a life purpose statement, how to construct them, if you will. As an example, I was telling you in the previous video that my lack purpose is enabling people to discover and live their life purpose. That is my life purpose. And there are three main elements in a purpose. Statement Number one is what do you do? Because your life purpose again, is something that you live. Not you, a chief right to achieve us a target, but purposes something that you live day to day witness. You need to do something. There's something you have to do to live that purpose. So there's an activity that involves in living your life purpose. That is why the first element is what you do and to be a bit more technical, even you need to involve a verb in your statement of purpose. In my case is enable enabling That is what I do, how I enable it. Or there could be managed from always by making a videos or rioting against giving trainings and facilitating so many different ways. but the essence off what I'm doing is enabling, and you can use many different. Was developing are creating bridging whatever it ISS, and the 2nd 1 is for whom, like in a way, who's your target market? In my case, you might ask, enabling people. People is so broad. It's so general. Yes, because I believe every person has a purpose. But you can also have a purpose. For example, let's say to cure cancer patients so they can live healthy again. What is the work there cure? And does the profession has to be a doctor? No. Well, it can be a doctor. It can also be a researcher or both. There can be many things. So again you can use avert. That is general enough. So you are not trapped within a single profession. And who was the target market? Cancer patient is very specific. For what? That's the third part. That's the third element. What is it that you do for whom? For what? Cancer patients. So they can live healthy again in my case so they can discover and live their life purpose . So what is it that you do for home and for what those are the three important elements in defining or constructing your life. Purpose statement. We will do later, after we're investigating the clues off life purpose. It is important. Why? Because when you're able to define your purpose, you will gain more clarity about your purpose. And it will enable you to become more focus in living your purpose itself. So right now, you might want to try to scribble a little bit about two constructor and life purpose. But again, we're just scratching the surface of this program. We haven't go deep into investigating every clues, but feel free to do it. But no worries, because we will have a special section, a special segment where we're going to try to construct that purpose statement after we go through deep into investigating each and every single clue. So again, remember, your life is your responsibility. So take charge as you have been doing. And I'm very excited that you're a part of this program and I'll see you in the next video inference 5. 3 Clues to Discover Your Life Purpose: Welcome back, my friends. This is the last video in this section. We have talked about what its life purpose and what It's not like purpose. And we have talked about the three elements in describing a life purpose statement. What is it that you do for whom and for what? And this program is about how to discover and live your life purpose. So in order to discover lifers, yes, you need to know what it's like for was, obviously which we have covered, but and I'm on my way. Our approach is that everybody is basically like a defective. So who is your favorite detective Sherlock Holmes, or after a different kind of answers, but basically a great detective every time he or she has a mystery to solve one. It's the first thing that you need to do. Look for clues. Yes, and discovering and living your life purpose. There are also clues that you need to explore and investigate. So put your detective hat on because this is the mystery. We haven't Mr. We have a case, not the mystery. The case is the mysteries. What is my life purpose and we're going to explore the clues. Investigate them in the next videos. But I'm going to share with you very, very briefly about the three clues in discovering your life purpose. Three clues, two of them related with your internal awareness. So two out of three of the clues will be inside of you and the 3rd 1 1/3 of the crew will be outside. It's about how where are you externally, with what's going on. The first peoples related with your external awareness is the topics that you care about, which we will cover and investigate in the next part of the video. In the program topic that you care about me is done on topics that you're interested in but really care about, and you can have more than one topics that you care about. We will explore as well. We'll explain as well why this is an important clue in discovering your life purpose. The second clue would be your passions and again, many people have been talking about passions lately, but it's not just passion but passions. It's plural. It means you have more than one passion, which also means not all of your passions are related with your life purpose. That's why I always say, Don't just follow your passion blindly. Make sure you are following the passions that are related directly related with your life purpose. And the third clue in discovering life lovers are your talents just like passions and topics that you care about. It's also plural, not just singular. Not just one talent, but really connecting your talents, your passions and the topics that you care about in the middle of that. The intersection between those three clues is your life purpose. So basically your life purpose. In order for you to generate the biggest impact that you can generate for others and society in the urine in your surroundings, it means you're doing something that is part of your talents and your passions, and you're channeling that into the topics that you care about. That's why you're doing something that you're good at and you love doing it, so you continue to be your best, that particular field or whatever it is that you do. But you're also doing it in a topics that personally matters for you. That's what it will make you go or out in it. But it will go deeper on that in the next videos when you actually explore each of this. Now, before we finish with this video two last things I wanna share with users, they size the three clues. There are also three elements that we need to continuously build and maintain what our process of discovery and living your life for These are the three things that those who have discovered and live there lacquers also continuously build and maintain. One is your determination not just motivation, but your determination both determination in discovering your life purpose because even in the process of discovering your life was there are challenges as well, right and also living your life for But there will be challenges for sure. So you need to have determination like this Motivation. Second, is mastery not just being able to do it, but really mastering a particular craft master a particular activity so determination, master determination talks about your willingness, and Masri talks about your ability and And if you are able and willing to do it well, then you can make the impact. It's one, right? Well, yes, but remember that your life purpose is not something that can enable you to generate any kind of impact, but the biggest impact. So don't forget that word. The biggest impact biggest is important. So besides determination and mastery, the third element that we need to continuously build and maintain its your network, your network will be a crucial element will play a very vital and significant role for you to continuously built and even scale up the kind of impact that you want to create as you live your life. And we will also cover that in the next part of our program as well. So right now, check on the document that you have in the program right now. There will. There are some questions, some reflections that you can do like this. You can do that. You should do that. You must do this. Part of the program, which makes it practical, is you need to take the time you make the time to actually reflect and think and connect with yourself before we go through. And in the next videos, we're going explore each and every clue for you to discover your life Purpose. I'm so excited. I hope so are you? I'll see you in the next video. 6. Level of Topics You Care About: welcome to level two in your journey of discovery and living your life Purpose. If you're watching this video, I'm assuming that you have already completed level one. And if you haven't, then stop this video right now and go back to a level one. Because in this level, we're going to go through and investigate the clues of your life purpose. And what are the clues? The brief about each of them is already there in level one. So make sure you completed that. Okay? Now, that being said, remember that your life purpose is the thing that would enable you to generate the biggest impact from yourself to others. And in this video, we're going to start to investigate toe explore one of the three clues, which is the topics that you care about. What do we mean by the topics that we care about all the topics that you care about in this case? First, there is a difference between topics that you are interested in and topics that you care about and what we're looking for. What we're going to investigate and explore and discover are the ones that you care about, not just the ones that you are interested in. For example, I am very interested in the topic off movies. I love to watch movies, and it's one of my faction actually watching movies. But we will talk about that later when we talk about discovering passions. And, um, I learned I followed about all the different directors, different script writers, actors. I followed different kind of wars. I watch movies from different countries and all of that. So, yes, I am very, very interested in the topic off movies. However, if you ask me whether I care about the topic of movies, unfortunately that because I have no intention nor any desire to contribute for the betterment off the movie's industrial, the movie sector, you see the difference. I'm very interested. But if you ask me what I do something to make the movie sector better no, I don't care. And that's the difference. When you start to have a willingness to contribute to make that sector, that topic that issues better, then it means you care about the topic. So the difference between a topic that you're interested in and a topic that you care about is based on your personal connection to that topic, and there are four levels off personal connection to a particular topic or issue. The 1st 1 was like What I just explained. Your personal connection can be only to the level off you're interested in, and that means you're interested. But you have no desire to contribute to that topic to that sector to that industry, whatever it ISS. But then, when you start to have that desire, that intention, you start to go into Level two, which is passively care. When you passively care about a particular topic, you start to have the intention, the desire to contribute. But you still haven't done anything. For example, in my case, corruption or fight against corruption is one of the topics that I care about. I want to contribute to eliminate that, to fight corruption. However, if you asked me, have I ever done anything really anything concrete to fight corruption? No, I haven't. I just want to contribute, but I never really did anything but that desire. That intention is there already. It means I'm passively care. That's the second level level to know the third level. It's not only that you have an intention not only passively care, but you're actively care about a particular topic now. This gets even deeper because now it's not just about intention, but you start to take action to actually contribute. For example, one of topics that I care about is also about sanitation, environmental issues and especially about sanitation. Every time I see it trash, that does not be longer. If someone throw it on the street or somewhere, I would pick action. I would actually pick that up, out, put it on the right place. So I do contribute and not just having the desire to contribute. So I take action on become actively care about the topic because it pains me. It hurts me when I see a place that is just dirty and people don't care about the sanitation. However, I'm only doing that when the opportunity presents itself, when the situation is allowing me to take action to be actively care, meaning I don't necessarily focus my time and energy and plan to contribute to that sector only when the opportunity presented some when someone throw trash on street or somewhere just when the opportunity was there and then I'll actively contribute. That means I actively care, however, the fourth level and this is the highest level off. How much you care about a particular topic is what I call pro actively care when you pro actively care. Not only that, you have the desire level too fast liquor. And not only that, you contribute actively, and not just when the opportunity presents itself. But you actually focus your time, your energy or effort. You plan it. You can even make it as a career for yourself. Then you reach the level off proactively care. Now, which one's off this four level that we're going to explore that we need toe identify in order to discover our life purpose. Out of that four level interested passively care, actively care and proactively care. Level 23 and four are the topics that you care about. So if you're only interested in a particular topic or issue, that will not be our focus. However, remember this at the moment, your personal connection to a particular topic or issue maybe just on the level of interested, but it can change, and you can find out whether this topic or issue will move upwards from level one to level two, or it can also go downwards from being interested. And then suddenly you lost interest in a particular topic. Just think about it, like when you meet someone the first time you meet a person, you might get interested to that person and then from there, depending on the duration of your interaction or the intensity of your indirection, you might move from being only interested to that person To suddenly you start to care about the person, even though you haven't done anything yet, but you start to be passively care, or you might lose interest to that person so it can change. When you're on Level one, it can move the level two and then three and four. So how can you know on those topics that you are currently just interested in whether it's going to move up to level 23 or four, or we'll just stay in level one like my relationship with movies, for example. It's been a long time, and it's stay there and level wanted never go up to level 23 or even four. It's just been staying in Level one. In my case, I never lost interest in the topic, but it also never goes up to a level 23 or four. So how can you know that's what we're going to do layer on when we're doing the exercise. So no worries about that. So before we finish this video, let's recap a little bit in investigating and identifying the topics that you care about. You need the first understand between the difference between topics that you're interested in, the topics that you care about and to do that, we look through the level of personal connection that you have with that topic or issue or sector. You can be in level one just interested in or in level two passively care. There were three actively care, or you could be in level four even when you are pro. Actively care, and the ones that we're going to look for and use forward later are the topics that are in level two. Passively care, actively care or level four proactively care. So I'll see you in the next video, where we're going to learn as well about what are actually the function off understanding. And I didn't define topics that you care about in relation to discovering your life purpose . See in the next one 7. Topics You Care About, What For?: welcome back, continuing what we've learned from the previous video about the four level of personal connection you have with a particular topic or issue or sector. We're not going to go a little bit deeper about what are actually the function of these topics that you care about in relation to you discovering your life purpose 16 years ago, back when I was still in college, I was studying business and marketing at that time and throughout my journey in college, I started to join organizational activities as well. And I love marketing. I love business. I'm very interested in those topics. But when I joined this organization, which focuses on leadership development and I had my first training, which was I can say it was my first indirection with this topic personal development and I realized and I felt the impact off and from that training, not only did I got interested in personal development, but I really felt and experience it myself, the importance off continuously developing yourself and then I moved very quickly from just being interested to be passively care. I started to have the intention to want to help others to experience the same to grow as well, but I still haven't done anything yet. And then it moved very quickly into start being active about it. I read a lot of books. I watch a lot of videos. I asked many different mentors. I learned as much as I can. I try to absorb as much as I can, so I can also help others in developing themselves, while at the same time it won't be myself, of course. And then, from then on, I became even more focused. I started to invest more, and I started to plan how I'm going to contribute to others to develop themselves. So this topic personal development became a topic that I really care about and from just being in level one interested all the way to level four, where I am now proactively care about this topic. 16 years ago, back when I was still in college and even though at that time I didn't understand about this four level of personal connection, you have to a particular topic or issue or sector, and if I reflect back right now, I can say that one of the topics that I got very interested in and then move fast into Level two to be passively care with the topic of education and personal development. And if you ask me back then what I wanted to do with my life was I want to help as many people to continue to develop themselves because I have experienced myself the importance and impact off continuously developing yourself. So this became my focus and I've tried many, many different ways. I failed many, many times as well. I learned from it. I try again. I got better and then I fail again. I tried again. I got better. I feel again and that goes on and on and on and on. But throughout that journey, I continuously gain more clarity about my own purpose from back then if you ask me, I would say my purpose was to how people develop themselves. But as I go through that journey within that sector, I started to realize as well that what I actually meant by personal development was especially about discovering and living one's life purpose. So those journey helped me to gain clarity about my purpose. And I would never reach that level off clarity if I didn't stay within that corridor off the topics that I care about, because for that years I stayed within that topic. So the topic that you care about becomes the corridor for you to stay within the right track in your journey of discovery and living your purpose. From those years, I suddenly decided to just invest my time in a different topic. Let's say sports or filmmaking or whatever it ISS. I wouldn't reach this level of clarity about my purpose. But by staying within the corridor off the topics that I care about, that was how I gained the clarity about my purpose. So that's the first function off understanding and identifying and living your life with the topics that you care about. It helps to build the corridor in discovering your life purpose. That's the 1st 1 The second function of understanding and identifying the topics that you care about is when you're doing it, it will enable you to be determined in actual living. That journey. Why? Because topics that you're working on matters to you personally, you have a personal connection with a topic. If I wanted to, I could also build my career playing guitar singing playing music. Yes, it's a tough industry, I know, but I do have the talents in there as well. I love doing it as well, and I know if I continue to invest my time to practice and become better and better, I could also do a career there. However, because music are just topics that I'm interested in, I don't really care because I didn't really want to contribute for the betterment of the music sector of music industry. So if I built my career in music and then the challenges come to me and then I'm facing challenges, which I will for sure. If I did, I wouldn't be as determined to do whatever it takes to pursue that career. Why? Because I don't really care about the topics. It's only just for me the focus just because I love it because I like it. However, when it comes to enabling people to discover and live their life purpose, that is something that I deeply care about. And when I see people started to get into that ah ha moment to that realization off understanding and discovering their purpose, that gives me a level of fulfillment that nobody can even describe and I wouldn't care about whatever challenge that I'm gonna face. I will find the way to make sure I continue to live that purpose and generate more and more impact because I care about this topic. So remember, there are two functions off understanding, identifying and then living your journey, your life within the topics that you care about. First, it will help you build the corridor to stay focused on your journey and discover and living your purpose and second, enabling you to stay determined to stay all out. No matter what challenges that you're facing and my friends, the challenges will come for sure. So that being said, it's time to actually move forward and take action in exploring, identifying discovery. What are the topics that you care about and I'll see you in the next video? 8. 3 Steps to Discover Topics You Care About: Hello. Welcome back, guys. It's now time to really explore. It's now time to really take action and exploring the topics that you care about. So are you ready? And now, before we actually start, let's make sure that you're in a place where there's no distraction around you, because in order to do this process, it's a reflective process, so you don't have any distractions. It's going to influence and reduce the quality of your reflection. Process off your discovery process, so make sure you're in a place where there's no distraction and remember to set the right intention. The intention for this process again is to gain clarity about what other topics that you care about us. One of the clues in discovering your life purpose. So when I said gaining more clarity, it doesn't necessarily mean that you suddenly just gonna be super clear, totally clear now, but to gain clarity. So it's a gradual process. So if the result from this process make you feel really like now on everything about my purpose, no. And it's not supposed to be like that, it's a gradual process, so reminded yourself again and again in the process and remember. Like I said in the previous videos as well that we talk about discovering your life purpose , not living your life purpose unit of discovery. Use more focus morning feeling rather than your logic. I'm not saying that you're not supposed to use logic at all, and that's probably impossible. But focus more on the feeling because discovering your life purpose has a lot to do with attracting with your feelings with your intuition. But when he talked about living day to talk about logic, you talked about how hard how but right now for this process, connect more with your feeling. So now makes you have a paper fan or anything to write on. Or you can even use together whatever you want to use. But now it's time to really get started. Step one. Write down 10 to 15. Topics are sub topics. What's the difference between a topic and stop topic? A topic could be, for example, sports and a stopped up. It could be basketball or football or hockey or or whatever it ISS. A topic could be education and a sub topic could be curriculum development or school building construction or anything, or teachers remuneration. It can be many different things under the topic. So at this point, though, it doesn't matter. Just write down 10 to 15 with us, a topic or a sub topic that you have a personal connection to. And also, it doesn't matter whether your personal connection is in level one only interested or level to where you are passively care or level three, where you are actively care or even level for where you are. Proactively, it doesn't matter. Just write down any topics or supped up. Extend to 15 where you have any kind of personal connection to. So make sure again your loan or distraction and really use of time and really connect again with your feeling and be honest with yourself. And if, at the end you have more than 15 it's good. It's fine if you have less than 15 less than 10. Even it's also fine. Just write down what you have. We're just exploring. The topics are stop topics that you have a personal connection. At this moment, it doesn't mean that in the future you will not have any more topics or soft topics that you could care about already interested in. So just right down, this is the result that you can have for the moment. So just take your time and Boston's video before we continue to the next step. Okay, so you have completed the first step again. I hope you did it. If not just again. Stop this video and go back. Make sure you completed the exercise and now your result from step one should look something like this. You see, there are many topics, and it doesn't matter where they're in level one or level door, Level three or level four. But now you have your list off topics of sub topics. No moving on to the second step. Step two. Yes. Now we're going to categorise that list that you have into four different category, which are yes, exactly whether they're in level one or Level two or level three or level four, and if you're result from what you wrote in Step one, there's no topics or sub topics that is in Level one. Or there's a level 23 or four and be one of those four categories or even more than one. Maybe is empty. It's OK. It's just your result at the moment. Okay? So make sure now take your time to really categorise the things that you write down the topics or sub topic that you have written down into those four different categories again. Just passed this video and really take your time and really connect with yourself with your feeling and be truly honest with yourself. That's the key of this process to make it effective. So posit and the new cutie. Okay, awesome. So you've completed the second step and at the end of that process, it should look something like this. You have a list of topics and soft topics that are level one, 23 or four or maybe some of them are empty again. It's also fine. And it's time now to move to the thirst. Separate Step three, Step three. Now we're going to analyze the topics for self topics that you have in the category of level one that you're only interested in. Why do we need to explore more on this level one? Because we want to know. We want to make sure whether the things that you've written down and you have categorized in level one, whether they have a possibility to move to level 23 or four or not what we're looking for. The result. The couple that we're looking for us to make sure to have less of topics that are in your level 23 or four. But there is a possibility that the ones that are currently in your level one can move up or they could also stay. Or they could, even just after a while becomes a topic that you're not interested in any more. And this is very, very important because in reality, every topics that are now on your level 23 or even four at some part of them they were in level one as well, But then they move up. Some topics or sub topics move up very quickly, and some might stay there for a while. And then finally it move up to Level two or three or four, and something might just stay like my example of the previous videos about movies. I've been very, very interested in movies for a long time, but even after so long, I've been interacting with this topic where they're watching a movie or watching the wars following reading scripts and everything, but still it for me. It, Stace in level one. Even today, I have never, ever, ever have even the slightest feeling of wanting to contribute to May. The movie sector better mixes. I'm just interested with it, but I have no intention to contribute. So that's why it stays in level one for me. But education, for example, for me, at first I was interested. But then, after interacting more with the stopping, whether it's learning something from our hearing, someone talk about education or experiencing education myself or reading the news. It becomes something that at first I was interested in. But then it becomes something that I got really, really interested and then move up to Level two that actually want to do something, especially after I realized and know about the condition of education here in Indonesia, for example, that there are so many things that could have been done better. So I want to contribute to that. And at that moment when I had that feeling off, had the intention of wanting to contribute, wanted to make it better, that topic just move up to level two, and then when I actually do something. I started acting. It walked alone three and nine, even planning. I'm focusing my time, my energy, even my materials. My, my, Well, everything to do something to actually contribute something into that topic. So it for me it's now on Level four, and in particular for me, there's a sub topic on education, his personal development and self discovery. We just also in level four, but they must have gotten through a level one at some point of time. So how do we know? How do we make sure and analyze whether the ones that are currently in your level one category, whether there have a possibility to go up to level, toe and beyond, or even become a topic that you're no longer interested in? So by the end of this process, all of those topic or sub topics that you have carved in level one, you're going to write down whether yes, they have a possibility to move up to level two or beyond or no, they're going to stay or just even become a topic that you're no longer interested in. And how do you know whether to right yes or no is by reflecting on two things. The duration off. How long have you known or interacted with this topic and the intensity or the frequency of your interaction with the topic? Another example. Me and the topic of movies when I talk about duration, meaning the first time I interact with that topic with movie was by watching a movie, and that was a long time ago. So meaning for me the duration. Now it's been decades since I first interacted with that topic in any kind of interaction, the first time it was decades to go. So I can say the duration has been decades. That's the duration. However. We'll talk about intensity or the frequency. It means within that duration of time that you have interacted with the topic. How intense was it? How how frequent are you in interacting with the topic, like in the example of movies? If let's see, I watch a movie or I interacted with this topic maybe 27 years ago, for example, but I've never interacted with the topic. I never read anything about movies. I never watch any movies or anything at all for five years, let's say and then I finally watch a movie, so that means my interaction is not frequent. It means the intensity off. My interaction with the topic is very, very low. But the truth is actually with movies. Wash it all the time. I learned about movies. I read different kind of script. I read about three awards, and I followed the war everything. So my interaction with the stopping is very intense, you see. So, based on the direction and the duration of how long you've been interacting with this topic , then you reflect again with your heart and we just be honest with yourself. Where there There's a possibility for me, for this topic, to move up to level to at least the level to order. Like for me with movies. After that long duration and intense interaction frequency, I still have no desire to contribute to the topic, so it stays in level one for me. So make sure again to check every topic or sub topics that you currently have in level one . If there's no topic or self topics, another one, then you can move to the next step. But now, if you have some artist, one go through them and reflect on the indirection that you have had with the topic from the duration and the intensity of the frequency off the interaction. And then really ask yourself whether can you see yourself actually wanted to contribute to that topic are not in the future? Or are you just gonna be stay just interested. And if you do want to contribute, you see the possibility for that, then you right? Yes, on the next, Next on the topic. And if you don't see any possible that wanna contribute to that topic, it will stay just topic that you'll be just interested in. Then you, right? No. And then the next of the topic. And again, just possibility after this and really take your time And don't get bored, I will say deliberately, again and again just to make sure there's no distraction around you Pasta video. And just be honest with yourself. Interact with your feeling. Just possibly do you know, talk and continue the process after this 9. Go Deeper Into Topics You Care About: Okay, So by the end of this process, your results should look something like this. You have the yes and the nose from the topics that are coming in your level one. And now we're going to move to the next step to the fourth step step for But actually, even before we moved, I want you to take just a little bit of time. And I want to acknowledge you and congratulate you. And I'm doing this sincerely because just realized for a moment that you are actually taking the step. You're taking the actions to explore this and this is something gentle should celebrate as well. It might not be the perfect result that you're expecting yet right now. But don't worry. It's a processing to trust this process as well. Along the way, gradually you're gained more and more clarity, but you are doing it it issue or doing it. So take that moment and really take a moment and think of deep breath, hold it for a little bit and exhale slowly and feel that you are taking action to do this. You are peeling that layers that has been compounded so highly making your purpose not so clear anymore. But you're taking your peeling it off and you're gonna see something at the end of this program. Something deep effort, clean everything. All of those trashes. But you're taking the Brosseau. It's a cleaning process. So I want to take this time to really congratulate you. And and now we're ready to go deeper in the fourth step. Now you have your list off the topic so soft topics that are in your level two, level three and level four and we're going to take the topics are soft. Topics that you have written. Yes, in step three. So the one said you've written No. We're gonna scrap that for now. And bring the one that you've written yes, into this process. And now we're going to go deep into why this topic is important for you. And this is a serious riding exercise, my friend. This is really connecting with your heart, connecting with your feeling on each and every topic that are now on your list, and we're really gonna take some time here. So if you have a long list of topics or soft topics now, make sure your slot enough time to do this process because you don't want to do this in a rush. Okay, so how were going toe and last? This is by going through each topic or soft topic and then go through them one by one. For example, let's say you start with music, for example. That's in your list. So write down your analysis based on two questions for each topic. Ourself topic. OK, one. Let's say music is Why does that topic or self topic matter for you personally? Why is a topic or self topic is in level, tour beyond or have a possibility to go to level two or beyond? Why does it matter for you? That's the first question, and the second question is, if you picture yourself so I needed to visualize. Okay, just close your eyes and visualize yourself dedicating your life to contributing for the betterment off that topic, and when you do so, make sure again to really connect with your feeling. So when you visualize, really close your eyes for a moment and feel it, picture yourself there in the future of dedicating your life into the topic. And here's the question. What kind of feeling that show up when you picture yourself dedicating their life for that topic. So I'm talking about one word feeling. Is it peaceful? Is it excited? Is it scared? Is it exhausted? It can be anything. So what kind of feeling one would like. What is emotion that shows up? Is that one emotion that kind of give the bigger picture of your feeling when you think about yourself dedicating to the topic, so do that question for each topic, or some topic that you have. For example, you can see it like this, you see. So as in this example, you see that for each topic are soft, you really go deep into them. So that's why I said it's gonna take some time, but it's going to be really worth it at the end, not just at the end of the step, but at the end of this program, you will see how this are connected, toe the next clue and even do when you start to put the pieces together and stayed in your life purpose and your legacy as well. So again, take your time. Be really honest with yourself. Make sure there's no distraction and pause the video and make sure just take a deep breath for a moment Before you really start. Make sure you have enough space to write. And now it's time for me to shut up and you go off the video and do the work. All right, So I hope you completed that process again. If you haven't make sure to stop this video or process video and go through that process for every single topic or sub topic that you have. But if you complete that process and how did few man going through that deeper? I'm sure you have a better picture about what you actually feel now about each of those topic. And now we're going to go to the last step off this process and we're going to prioritize the topic. Did you have into the low block party? You go to rank them and this is how we're going to do this. So make sure you really pay attention because I won't explain the technicality off how you go through this process. Let's see this books are your less off topics or some topics, but you don't know now which one is the highest priority for you and by priority they were going to do this is by asking ourselves when you compare from one topic to another which one that you have, ah, higher urge inside to contribute. So that's how we're going to base it. Okay, So when you go to compare between topics later on in this process, the question that you want to ask yourself iss which one do I have more inner drive, inner urge to contribute. And when you choose one, it doesn't mean that you don't want to contribute to another. It just means that this topic that you chose, you want to contribute more to the topic. So don't worry. You don't have to feel bad when you didn't pick another topic. OK, so we're just going to go through this process, I believe, to explain how we're going to do this. Let's say this is your list of topics or topics, but it's not rank yet based on the priority level. So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to put the first topic, this one and I'm going to compare this 1st 1 on the list. Do the next one. The 2nd 1 on the list, and I'm going to ask myself that question. Which one between this, too? That I have, um, or drive inner drive for urge to contribute more to dedicate my life more. Which one? And by the way, when you're actually living your purpose, you might be contributing to more than one topics. So don't worry again about that. So at this process, just compare between this, too. And let's say when you ask yourself that question between number one item number one on your list and item number two, and then you answered yourself that I chose number one. I want to contribute more. I have a deeper urged inner drive to contribute more on level on this item one than I am to . And if that's the case, then you continue to compare Item number one. Unless Toe I number three and asked that same question. And then the winner goes to the next one. Let's say again, Item number one is the one where you have a bigger inner drive for urge to contribute. So again, you compare item number one to the 4th 1 on the list, right? And then when you got here, As it turns out, this one, actually one. You actually have a bigger drive to contribute on this topic than this topic. Then you continue with this one you asked. You compared this topic to the next one and which one wins continuing. You asking that same question next one, all the way down to the end of your list. And then let's say it was this one. After comparing this with item number five and six and seven, even eight, this is the one that I should have the bigger dry for inner driver urge to contribute. So that means this item goes on the top off rank. And now you still have this seven topics on the on your list and you repeat the process again tonight. Number one I number two all the way until we have a winner. And let's say it's item number four. Let's see, this one is a winner. So it means this item becomes the second priority on your reckless. And then again, you repeat all the way until there's no more items here and you have all of the items here but already prioritize or drink base on which one that you have a bigger drive in urge to contribute. So again, just positive video for this and again. Really connect with yourself. Don't be bored. I keep telling you this because it is very, very important because sometimes we get easily distracted. So make sure to really connect with your feelings in going through this process. And don't worry, doesn't mean that you're not going. If if the item on the last ranking that you have on the last spry doesn't mean you're not going to contribute to the topic. So this is a process off getting more and gaining more and more clarity. So awesome video and through the process. All right, my friend. That last process that you did, that last step that you did concludes our exercise in exploring the topics that you care about. How do you feel now? I hope you complete all the president. I hope you did it with full focus, and I hope, and I'm sure if you did, I'm sure that you gain more clarity. You gain some new insights and new ah ha Samy discovery about yourself and the topics that you care about and along the way in the future, you will interact with more topics and you will find out that there might be other topics that you care about or interested in right that adds to the list. And some of them might be related directly to your life. But some of them are not like in my case, one of topics that I care about is environment, and especially about sanitation. I do care, and I actively carry on the top of the topic. But I can't really say that it's the one that is directly related with my life ever, and that's also fine. And it doesn't mean that I cannot contribute to the topic. I still do every time the opportunity presents itself. Sometimes when I prepare something or do something to actually make a good example of one campus sanitation. But it it's not my main focus in life, you know, and that's also fine. So again, I'm just reminding you. Don't worry. With the items that are on the bottom of your rankings, it doesn't mean that you cannot do anything about them. We can still do something about them. You can still contribute to them, but you now have your level of priority. So with that again, I congratulate you. And I will see you on the next video when we're gonna talk and explore more about the second religion. Internal awareness. This one is about external awareness. Even though the process, you could reflect a lot as well, of course. And next one, we're gonna explore more about fashions. I'll see in the next video. 10. Passions vs Hobbies: welcome back by now. I hope you've already done the exercise on exploring the topics that you care about. And if you haven't, please stop this video right now and make sure you completed your exercise first. Because that's the whole point why you got this course. But if you already completed the exercise, so let's move forward. And now we're gonna talk and gonna explore more about the inter. Where's clues? We have passions and we have talents. But for this video, we're gonna talk first about exploring your passions just the same. Like when we're talking about life purpose. In order to discover your life purpose, you need to first understand what this life purpose and what is not life purpose the same thing with passions. Because this word passion has been used so often in the last several years at least that there has been so many interpretations on the meaning of the word itself. So before we go further on exploring your passions in order to discover your life purpose, let's get clarity first on what passion is. The first thing I would like to share with you is that you have more than one passion That's why I've been using the word passions plural instead of singular. But here's the catch, though. Yes, we have many passions. However, not all of them are related with our life purpose. That's why I don't really agree when someone said, Find your passion and follow your passion. Well, yes, but don't just follow your passions blindly because not all of them are related with your life. Purpose followed the ones that are connected with your purpose. So let's just get clarify what fashion is. So let's get deeper into this passion. First of all, it has a lot of similarities with hobbies. For example, my hobbies are playing basketball or singing or playing guitar, and there are similarities between hobbies and passion. And the 1st 1 is especially when we talk about discovering your life purpose. They're both, ah, form off activity. Your hobbies and your passions are activities. So I had a friend of mine who told me that Ali. So your passion is movies and I was like, Well, watching movies is one of my passions watching, as in the activity of watching movies. But if you would talk about movies us again, that's not passion That's a topic like what we've discussed earlier. And there are many activities within the topic of movies. You can watch movies and you can make a script. You can direct the movies, you can edit the movie. There are so many activities within the topic of movies, you can sell movies, and my passion is just watching it and nothing more. So make sure when we talk about passion, we don't talk about topics. But we talk about the activity itself and again, between passions and hobbies. They're both form of activities, playing basketball or singing a song or playing a guitar, whatever it is. But it is a form of activities, so that's the first similarity. The 2nd 1 is when you do your hobbies or when you do your passions, you love doing it. Obviously, I love playing basketball. I love watching movies. I love singing. I love playing guitar, so you enjoy the process. And also, when you do your passions or when you do your hobbies, time flies by pretty fast. Why? Because when you do your passions or your hobbies, you're in what it's called the state of flow. You're fully present at the moment. So you lost track of time. That's why when you do your passions, when you do your hobbies, time flies by pretty fast and the next similarities within passions and hobbies are nobody . And I mean, nobody will ever discover your passions except you. The reason I know it sounds obvious, but the reason I'm saying this biggest I've had people ask me many times. So, Ali, what do you think are my passions Are my hobbies like how the how do I know you are the one who needs to do them in order for you to discover them, whether they're your passions, your hobbies or they're not. So that is why in this program in this process, regard the facilitated to explore. So let's be clear, you were the only one who could discover them. What I'm doing in this program is facilitating you how to discover them faster. And at the end of the day, the same, like passions or talents, are topics that you care about. You need to do them. You need to explore them. It means you need to take action in order for you to discover them. You cannot just think and I feel like maybe I think that's playing basketball, probably my hobbies or even my passions. How do you know we'll never tried? But I think I'm gonna love doing That's not how we're gonna do this process, and I think you know why. So those are the similarities. But also here's the important part. There are differences as well, between your hobbies and your passions. And just like when we explore the topics that you're interested in and topics that you care about, there are some simple but very significant differences between your hobbies and your passions. The 1st 1 You do your hobbies when it is convenient, when the timing condition is convenient for you to do it. For example, many times I've had events, workshops or trainings where the schedule is conflicted, where the time I wanted to play basketball with some of my friends. In that case, I will just not play basketball. Why? Because I have bigger responsibilities. So I only play basketball when it is convenient because it's just my hobbies. I love doing it. Yes, I like doing time flies, but I have a good time, but I only do it when it's convenient. The same thing with playing guitar, the same thing with singing. They're just my hobbies. I love doing them. Don't get me wrong. However, you will be willing to pay a certain price in order for you to do your passions, because passion come from a Latin word poppy, which means to suffer or to endure. So there are some sacrifices includes when you're doing your passions, like when parents are taking care of their child. There are some sacrifices, and here's the other difference. The sacrifice that you make in order for you to do your passions is based by sincerity or love, not by hate, like when parents are taking care of their child. They make a lot of sacrifices, but they don't do it based on hate. They based on love based on sincerity, that's fashion. Or for me. One of my passions are watching movies, the activity off, watching movies. I love watching movies and even when it's not convenient, even when it's late at night, early in the morning you've been with Sometimes I have other work to do, and then I will find a way to stay up later just to finish my work, but it's also so I can watch movies. I watched movies from the twenties and thirties, and I follow every director, every script writer, actors and everything. But the activity of watching movies is something that takes me to another zone. Another level. I love doing it, and I don't mind sacrificing things for it. When I was in high school, I never used some pocket money that that I got from my parents so I can save them so I can buy a movie so I can watch movies. And even though I didn't eat because of that, but for me, it's totally worth it. So there are some sacrifice that you're willing to do price that you're willing to pay. But you don't mind doing it as well, because for you personally, subjectively, it's worth it. Another passion of mine, which might sound weird to you, is spotting clouds. Yes, clouds in the sky. I love spotting class. I studied different species of clouds. I became a member off what's called the Cloud Appreciation Society. The space in the UK and spotting and identifying different species of clouds makes me really, really happy to the point where I'm actually willing to sacrifice to pay some price. And actually, I pay money to be a part of this society. I bought some books about clouds, so I make sacrifice. And sometimes even when I'm watching movies, when I'm doing my other passions, sometimes when there's a car chase scene where everyone is watching, how cool the cars or how exciting the chasing scene is, I'm watching with that. Serves a really nice classes. And where couples are alto community or serious class, it's just like it's weird. I know it's like this, know anything that I have, but it becomes something that I do regardless. Whether the condition is convenient or not. Right or not, I will make my way to do it anyway. The same thing, like my passions off, facilitating people or giving trains or writing it takes me to another level. You can see how excited I am, how pumped up I am when I'm doing this video, same level of energy for hours and hours and hours and hours. Which brings me to the next difference between hobbies and passions that are very significant is that when you do your hobbies, like when I'm playing basketball or when I am singing or when I'm playing guitar. It never occurred to me that Oh, I have to be better than Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant or LeBron James or Steph Curry. Or I have to be a better guitar player than Carlos Santana or Kirk Hammett. As I'm a fan of Metallica. I just love doing activities. Just love doing that. But when it comes to facilitating people, I don't compete with other people. I compete with myself, and there's always this hunger when it's your passion to learn more and more and more, I can't even count how many books I've read, how many articles are read and write, how many videos I've watched documentaries, how many mentors that I've asked here and there. How many out of your programs that I've been listening so I can continue to learn and grow and expand myself so I could do my passion better and better and better? Well, just a hobby. No, I'm not willing to do all of that. I'm not willing to go through all of that, so there are some similarities, but there are some simple but very significant difference, and we're going to explore them today, and the key is to identify your passions. Yes, you need to look back on the things that you have been doing. But remember that discovering your passions just like when you're going to discover your talents and topic that you care about. It's about taking action to discover that just thinking that you have it and that is why. And once you've discovered your passions, you might discover even more later in your life. As you continue to do more things, it's important to reflect whether these passions are related to my purpose or not. Just like watching movies are spotting clouds. I'm not the fashions that directly related to my purpose. And there are other passions that I have, like facilitating. People are writing that are directly related to my purpose, so no worries. But at this point, we're gonna try to explore what are the passions, and there will be time in this program where we're going to try to connect the pieces from all the clothes that have been exploring and see the connection between all those three clues. So in order for us to get more clarity on your life, for this. So thank you for watching video. And remember, your life is your responsibility. It's always time to take action and I'll see you in the next video. 11. Dig Deep Into Your Passions: Hello, guys. Welcome back to the exercise part in your journey in discovering life purpose. And today, in this video, we're going to explore and do the exercise in exploring your passions. Now, as you've seen in the previous video, as you have learned in the previous feed you as well about passion, oneness, passion. What is the difference within passions and hobby, and what are the similarities between them as well? And now it's time to really dig deep and investigate it to your own passions. Okay, so the first part is make sure again. You are in a condition in a in a place where there's no noise, you're alone. There's no destruction around you, so you can be reflective and you could be relaxed and calm because there's a very reflective process. So you want to make sure you're in the right environment and this might take maybe 30 to 40 minutes, so make sure you are using your having enough time for your putting enough time for this. Make sure you have enough time around 30 to 40 minutes to do this process, because it is very, very important that you as you go through this process that there's no interruptions because it's going to really affect the quality of the process itself. Okay, ready. So now make sure you have a paper and pen and it's time to write down because we talked. That passion is about activities, so and this time we're going to look back in the past. But we're not gonna live there. We're gonna learn from the past, because passions is something that you do. It's not something you just suddenly have. You can't really know whether or something an activity is your passion or just your hobby if you never really tried. So we're gonna look back from the past and things that you have done, which one are probably your part of your passions. So look back and think about the activities that you really love to do, and in doing this because it's an activity. So in writing down right down 5 to 10 activities, that has nothing to do with your family circle, though you can say like, for example, playing with Children. It's okay if what you meant that this manager, not just your Children. If you're saying this, taking care of Children or playing with Children and you meant just your Children, then that's Onley in your family circle. But if you meant by Children is any Children, then it's beyond your family circle. And that's fine. So make sure the activities is something beyond just your family circle. So it stopped. It has to start with a vert. So, for example, developing the business or let's look, playing with Children or, um, singing or reading a book. It can be anything that generally that different kind of energy, that different, that generate that kind of hunger, that something you really love to do, that the general energy positive energy from you as you do the activities. So to do this to help you do this, you can make some kind of category in terms of your life stages as well. Think back maybe the time since as long as you can remember. But since you were a kid all the way till you, let's say seven or eight years old, and then you can make another category from seven or eight until you're 15 and then all the way you can use by age have been used by your education would say you're gonna garden or then elementary school, junior high and high school and then college, or when your university you can use any kind of category to help you system must have a structure of framework in thinking in this period of time off my life. What are the things without the activities that have tried and I really love doing? And in each of that category, and then after write down, What was it that you that you did that you really love to do? And by the end of it, you can just put all of them together. The reason we're making this category is just to help you structure the process to make it more effective. So you're not missing anything so really go back all the way, Even if something that you're not doing it anymore, it's OK. Just just right down 5 to 10. Actually, they have more than then. That's also fine, but make sure there's something first. We start with the verb because that's an activity. And make sure it's something beyond your family circle and make sure there's no distraction around you. And don't forget to put that detective had on your that you're the detective now, investigating your passions investigating your life purpose. So time is yours. Go ahead, man. 12. Passions to be Followed and Unfollowed: Welcome back. Did you do the process that you write down the activities that you really, really love to do? Did you really go way back in time? If you haven't, then make sure toe posits are going to stop this video and really redo the activity. Really? Make sure you write down. Make sure you really reflect picture. You really go back in time because this is crucial again in discovering your purpose, you need to use more of your intuition you to connect more with your feelings rather than your logic. I'm not saying that supposed to use any of your logic, but you need to connect Maurin Digger intuition to your feelings later when we talk about living that purpose, living your life purpose Once you discovered it, you talk more about how it's gonna be more about the logical part. But right now it's a matter of you connecting with yourself, connecting with your feeling, connecting with your intuition. So make sure you really take the time to do this. If you didn't get 5 10 or even five, that's also OK. Just mean that you need to try more things. Just work with what you have right now. So whether you have 5 10 or even more than 10 off, the less and now it's time to prioritize. This might sound a little bit difficult, but the idea is you want to prioritize by which activities are the one that really that you really love the most. And it doesn't mean that the activity that is on the lower let's say you have 10. The 10th 1 doesn't that you're not going to do them at all. It just for you to have an awareness of yourself about which activities that actually really matters the most for you personally, for example, one of my passions is watching movies. It's not really related with my life purpose because remember in the previous video, when we talk about fashion, that you can have many passions and not all of them are related with your life purpose. That's why I said, Don't just follow your passion blindly because some of them are really to your problems. And some of them are not like my passion off watching movies. It doesn't have anything to do with my life purpose, to be honest, at least not directly. But does it mean that I cannot do it anymore. Now, of course, I still watch movies all the time. But now I know which one that I need to prior. That's which one is the one that connected directly to my life purpose. So prioritize the activity that you've written down and see do the priority make their practice ation using the same technique that you did when you were exploring the topics that you care about by comparing and by really thing which one that really personally matter that you love the most that matters the most for you. By the end of this process, by the end of this privatization, you should have your wrecking off your current fashions again. It doesn't mean that would be the the only passion that you're gonna have. The more you do things, the more you will find out more about your passions that you probably haven't figure out you have realized by now. So it's also important to actually to review this again every 66 months or one year, because as you continue to live your life, you will do more things and you might find out new passions that you actually have, but now it's time to prioritize. So take the time. Use the technique that you learn in the previous part of the off our program. When you compare the topic that you care about and make your prioritization of your passions, go ahead. And when you're done, your results should look something like this. And don't forget, it's worth celebrating nothin you've explored more into yourself. You're increasing your internal awareness. This is just one part one of the three clues that you've explored. One clue and you've explored more now, and the idea again is to gain more clarity. It doesn't mean that after this progressively, I know my life purpose and I'm gonna go for it. You might. I don't know. Hopefully you heart did. But even if it's not, it's a matter of gaining more clarity throughout the process and that my friend, is worth celebrating. So take your time before you go to the next video. Just review again what you got from this process from the previous processes. Well, when you explore the topics that you care about and say thanks to yourself to take this process and I'll see you in the next video 13. Me and My Talents: welcome back. It's not time to learn and explore more on your talents. But again, before we move forward, let me just make sure that you have already completed the previous exercises in exploring the topics that you care about and your passions again. If you haven't completed the exercise, police do yourself a favor and stop this video and complete that previous exercise. But if you have completed now, it's time to move forward, and we're gonna talk about talents. So remember the 2/3 off your clues in discovering your life purpose, our internal, your passions and your talents, and 1/3 but is external weirdness. We just stop. It's that you care about. And now we've covered two clues. One externally. The topic did you care about and one eternally your passions. And now we're ready to move forward in exploring your talents. So when we say we're going to explore and discover our talents, what is it that we actually mean and what is it? Not as well. It's also important to understand. The first thing to understand is that talents are different with strengths. Your talents are things that you're good at, and again like passions. It's also an activity. So your talents mean the things that you do. But you do them well that you're good at doing them. That means your talent. For example, have you ever had experience when you're doing a particular activity, like crunching numbers or something with any kind of activities? But at intimate, you're thinking, Why does everyone have difficulties and doing this activity? Well, I'm not that difficult for me. If you had one of those experiences that could be assigned that that activity is one of your talents again, it's also plural. You have more than one talents, remember, just like passions. But what have you never had those experiences? No, I've never had that experience where I feel like I'm doing it better than other people. Well, if you've never had that experience, then asked people around you people whom you've interacted ah, lot that you trust because maybe they know your talents without you even realizing it yourself. But what if they didn't know as well? If you ask him, What do you think my talents like? How do I know it's your talents, not mine? Well, if the people that you're asking also don't know about your talents where they couldn't give you answers that make you feel certain about your talents that at this point, my friends, there are so many tools, so many assessment tools that you can use in orderto help you or guide you to identify some of your talents there. So many products out there, like online assessment self assessment that you can use to guide to identify some of your talents again. It doesn't mean that it will determine that. Also, your talents is a B C D, and that's it. And it's not e f g or age. No, it doesn't work that way, but it will guide you. I didn't defy a little guided to identify even more in the future what your talents are because, ultimately, just like fashions, you will never identify and be certain about what your talents are unless you do them, you cannot just say, Well, my talons are playing basketball or my talents are singing or my talents are public speaking or convincing people whatever it is, if you never try that. But again, like I said at the beginning, talents are different. Then strength talents are just potential in order for your talents have become strength. You need to practice it. You need to use it. You need to apply those towns again and again and again. Practice and practice practice makes mastery, and the next one about your talent is this. If I ask you, let's see or what are the Taliban's or for my American friends? Soccer. So what are the talents off little message? Most of you will probably say playing football or playing soccer. Here's the catch. Your talents does not necessarily mean a profession. For example, yes, Leon Alla Messi is an attacker forward player in playing football. However, we cannot really say just like that. Okay, it's talents are playing football? Biggest. Actually, He has many talents that make him a great football player. He's good at dribbling the ball. He's good at reading. A situation pretty fast is good at making a curveball, and there are many different talents when you combine this talons make him a great football player, especially a forward player. But if you put little messy as a goalkeeper, maybe he will not be as great as we have seen him today. So don't just associate talent with a profession. Another example is I'm sure you've seen some people who are really good at convincing people. You can say he has talent in convincing people and that kind of talent isn't that useful in any kind of professions. Almost so again, your talents does not necessarily mean a single profession. Now, that being said, even little messy, who has Mary 1000 dribbling and making a curveball and reading situation, he still has to practice a lot. He still has to practice and improve and transform his talents into strengths and even until it becomes a master in doing what he does, And now we're going to move forward after this video into the facilitation process, facilitating you in identifying, discovering what are your talents are and remember your talents can be identified. You can be certain about what your talents are because you do them because talents are activities as well, just like passions. So we're gonna reflect back about the activities, the things that you've been doing in the past. Yes, you can also identify more talents even in the future, by how, by doing things as well, so get ready. We're going to move straight into the last exploration off your clothes before we move forward and then start putting the pieces together and gain more clarity about your lifers . Ready? Let's go. 14. Life Purpose Statement: Welcome back, my friends. We have talk and I hope you did the exercise while exploring your passions, talents and issues that you care about. And now from those clues that you have explored, and I have you identify some new insight about each of those clue. Now we're going to see how we can put the pieces together, how it can connect this close together and try to define and create a statement off your life purpose as well as your legacy Statement. Meaning when you live your purpose, what kind of legacy that you will leave behind at the end of your life, and this is something that's very much connected. And once you define your purpose statement, it will be very easy to define your legacy statement as well. So let's talk first with your purpose statement. Remember at the beginning, off the scores when I give some examples about my life purpose, for example, just enabling people to discover and live their life purpose or another example of purpose . Statement could be curing cancer patients so they can live healthy again. Basically, there are three elements off a purpose. Statement one. It needs to explain what you do so, meaning there needs to be a verb in that statement, like enabling, curing, developing, bridging whatever it ISS. So make sure there's an active verb in the beginning of your statement because you live your purpose, you don't achieve it. So when you live it, how do you live in day today? That's why you need to have a verb to explain what you do in living that purpose and that verb again. You need to make sure it's something a little bit dinner, that it's not too specific into a single profession. For example, back then, I used to define my purpose as training people so they can discover and live their life purpose. However, when the verdict that you use is a single profession kind of work, then you're limiting yourself from many other possibilities on the way you can live your purpose, like what I used knows, enabling instead of training, as if training is the only way to to get people to discover and live their life was no. So make sure you use a verb and active work, but it's not a specific kind of profession, for so that's the first element what do you do? And the second element off your purpose statement needs to explain who is your target market. So what you do and you're doing it for whom, For example, in my case, is people enabling people? Why people so generic? Because I believe that everybody has a purpose. That's what my target market is people because I believe every single person has a purpose . However, on the other example, curing cancer patient so they can live healthy again. Who is the target market cancer patients? So it's it's very specific, basically, think about who is your target market. And thirdly, you doing these things for this title market, for what costs are you doing? So, for example, in my case is so they can discover and live their life purpose or so they can live healthy again. Also, they can have a loving relationship whatever it ISS. So it could be many things, basically, what you do for whom and for what Now, In order to do that, maybe you might have some ideas. Or maybe you don't now take a look again at the result off your exercises in the PBS parts from exploring your passions And then your talents as well as the issues that you care about you gonna start from any of them. There's no specific rule which one you need to start first. So that being said again, take a look at the passions and talents and issues that you care about and see. Where are the connections? Remember, your first statement does not have to be perfect. In fact, it will not be perfect, because along the way, when you start to walk your path within that purpose, you might see your purpose evolving along the way and you might refine that purpose ticked along the way. But now you have a corridor, and when I say evolving doesn't change completely, but it means you will be more clarity along the way back then, before my purpose statement was about how people can discover and live their life purpose, it was more about how people can fulfill their potential. But along the way, as I walked through that path and within that corridor of the topic that I care about which one of them is education and personal development, and then I gave more clarity along the way. That's why it might seem like it is changing, but it is not my team. It's evolving. It is a really. But what actually happened is you are gaining more clarity because you keep walking your time. You keep using your time along the path along the corridor off the topic that you care about, and then you start using more off your talents and your passion. So that's why might seem like it's evolving. It's changing. But what happened again? What will happen is you gaining more clarity, so no worries. If he doesn't seem perfect, it will not be. But make sure whatever it is that you start to walk your path along that statement. So to sum up your purpose statement basically connects your issues that you care about your passions and your talents. And there are three elements in your purpose. Statement. One is what is it that you do remember to have an active and you do it for whom who's your target market and you do it for what calls tried to do this exercise, and you could come up with several statements, and then you can you can sleep on it and then you can take take a look again. Maybe tomorrow morning or whatever it is. But make sure again. Remember to do this in a quiet environment with no distraction. And after this, we'll talk about legacy statement. I'll see you soon. 15. Legacy Statement: Welcome back, my friends. I'm very excited that I'm talking faster and faster in fester because I hope first you did the exercise in defining your purpose statement again. It might not be perfect, but that is your first draft off your life purpose. Think how exciting is that? And now we're gonna talk about your leg assisting, and this is very simple. I promise. For example, my purpose is enabling people to discover and live their life Purpose if you like seeing what is the legacy that you're going to leave behind from you living your purpose? Basically, you start the sentence this week because of me. Coma, love, love, love. What is love? In my case, because of me, people are able to discover and live their life purpose. So basically, you put because of me coma and the impact that you define from your purpose statement. So enabling people to discover and live my purpose. Meaning my legacy would be because of me. People are able to discover and live their life curing cancer patients so they can live healthy again. Because of me, people are cured from cancer and they can live healthy again or another purpose statement, for example, ISS empowering couples so they can live a life long mulling relationships. That's the purpose statement. So the legacy sink could be because of me. Couples are able to live life long loving relationships, So basically, you just put because of me in the beginning, and then the impact that you want to create that you have defined from your life. Purpose state sounds simple. It's simple, but simple does not mean it's something small. This simple step could help you define what kind of legacy that you leave behind and also from that purpose statement. It is a simple process, but it helps you create a focus on how you're going to live your life, how you use your time day today. So remember simple. It's not always small. A lot of times, simple things are the ones that made the biggest impact. So again, make sure you make the time to do this, not find the plan because we try to find the time you will never find the time. There's always something else to do but make time. Hold it in your calendar. Put in your agenda. Whatever is, make sure you plot the time to do this exercise and make sure there are no distractions. And then I'll see in the next video, we're gonna talk about the I'm on my remodel. See you. 16. I'M ON MY WAY Model: Hello, guys. Welcome back. It's now time to learn about the patterns off faces that people go through in their process off discovering and living their life purpose. And this is very, very important to know to understand the faces, the pattern that the people are going through. Why? Because first, it will build your awareness on where you are now in your journey off discovering and living a life in which face are you. And second, if you keep pursuing which face will I will get into next. So this is very crucial for you in order to know what's coming next. And what do you need to do not to get yourself into the next face? Basically, in the big picture, we divide this pattern into two big category one is the cavalry off discovering life purpose and then living the life for us and the first face that those who have discovered and live their life purpose. It's always the face that we call internal discomfort, meaning that you're basic and necessity needs. Are met food, clothes, a place to live. Yet somehow there is still something inside that causes discomfort in you that some questions that's keeps burning about maybe about your purpose, about your talents, about your passions are about your career, about your future or even discomfort about the situation in your surroundings. So when your basic needs are met, yet somehow they're still some some holy newsome, some something that makes you feel unfulfilled. And you have this question that keeps coming inside. You know it's important. Yet you don't really feel like you have a certain answer for this. And that caused us this intern discovered and everybody. I'm sure if you are not right now in this place, you may be in a different face right now, but I'm sure at one point of your life you're and you were in this face is wrong because those who have discovered their life, others also went through this space as well. So, in a way, if you still have questions that that's related with your life purpose and you still don't know the answer yet, that's actually a good news. Why? Because you're in the right track now. It's just a matter off how you respond to that discomfort you see. In general, there are three kinds of responses. The 1st 1 is what I call playing victim. This is when you respond this disc internal discomfort by responding with answers like, Well, that's life live. It's difficult. Just face it. You know, this is what I call playing victim. So it doesn't you have this question? So this burning questions inside that keeps coming back, but you don't really answer the questions. The second kind of response is what I call this is basically a short term solution, because knowing that there's an important question inside that you're still not sure about the answer is not comfortable, right? That's why some discomfort. But instead of really searching for the answer, there are people who responded by just hanging out with my friends. I'll just some other activities, which you're fine. There's nothing wrong with hanging out with your friends are going to the movies or whatever. However, those kind of responses they don't really answer the questions. So in just a matter of a weeks or maybe months or days, even those questions will keep coming back catching. So it's just a short term solution. It doesn't really answer the question. It's just something that we saw consciously probably do in order to distract ourselves from that uncomfortable feeling. And there are also third kind of response. Those who actually respond by really trying to explore and find the ultimate answer. And those who have discovered and live their life purpose are the ones who responded This internal discomfort face by responding with that kind of response, we're trying to explore and discover and find the answer. That is why when you respond with 1/3 time respond by really exploring the answer, you were moved to the second phase, which is exploration or explore. And if you're still trying to discover your life was by, for example, by taking this program, it means you are now on the second face because it miss you already took some action to try to discover and find the answer. So again, congratulations for taking your already in the next phase now. Yet somehow they're still many people who already took some actions and they're now in the explorer face. They still find themselves in difficulties in trying to really discover their life purpose why? One of the main reason is what you've seen. You've learned as well in the previous videos because there are so many misunderstandings about what life rivers is about. Remember those four misunderstanding that life was not something that you achieve its some that you live day to day and then life Rivers is not just related with your family circle only, Or it's not just something to generate that I want to be someone useful. Yeah, but how can you maximize your values as an individual and life purpose? It's not just a single profession. These misunderstandings made a lot of people who are in the explore face find it difficult to move to the next phase. But you are now here. You're not in this program you are now exploring and were guiding you to make the exploration phase more efficient. And throughout this journey off exploration, you will gain more and more clarity about your life purpose. And it will ultimately take you to the next face in the discovery part off the model of the journey. We're just calling. That is, when you actually gain that clarity off. What is your life purpose? Not for some people. They might stay quite a while in the explore face before they finally move into calling and the reason for that is the explorer face. When you explore what is your life purpose, like the face that you're in right now. For example, by taking this program by joining this program, it's like peeling the layers of an onion so it might take. Sometimes it depends on how many layers that you currently have. So the game here, my friend, is a matter off, gaining more and more clarity along the way. So that's why, for some people, the explore face the exploration face my takes quite a while, and for some other people, it might make sure it doesn't matter if your job is not to compare but to learn from their process. And this model is based from the research, the interviews and the biographies that we did among people across countries, across cultures, across generations, across sectors, even on their process, their journey in discovering and living their life. There was what are the similarities now from them? You learn, but you don't need to compare why this person takes two years and this person takes 10 years to finally discover their life is there is no use to compare about how long but learn what makes them discover their purpose faster. So and that's what happened to me as well. The more I use my time in the topics that I care about and along the lines of activities that are related with my passions and my talents, the more again clarity about my life purpose and I defined it, and after a while I refute. And then, as I gain more clarity, I really find it. But here's the interesting thing. Once you explored and you define your life purpose, and then you continue to live that purpose, and then when you review it, it might feel like it changes. But I guarantee you the changes. It's more like an evolution. It's not really changing. In a way, it's just you gain more clarity, and it will be still along the same line along the same theme off purpose. That's the key is to maintain your career or the way you live your life. Still, within the topics that you care about and ensuring to review from time to time like myself . Back then, I defined my purpose as to improve the education system in Indonesia and along the way, as I get more clarity, I realized myself year after here. Hey, actually, what I meant by education. My version of it, it's about my purpose is about discovering and living life purpose, and that's from he's also education. But if I didn't take my time, I didn't use my time along that topics that I care about if I didn't use my time to explore more within the topics that I care about just education, I won't be able to gain that kind of clarity that hey, actually, what I meant about education is about life purpose. So the key is to maintain yourself within a topic that you care about and to keep using and doing the activities that are related with your passions and your talents and use that channel those passions and talents in the topics that you care about and when you gain and move into that calling face. When you discover your purpose and when you stop living your purpose, we move to the next category. Now it's going to be like a circle. It will be like a loop off faces that you will continue to go through along the way and to start with, try a lot, obviously, because discovering your purposes of a matter of understanding your wife, why you exist. Like I said, when you're in the discovery process, you need to connect more with your feeling with your heart, with your intuition, not too much with your logic. But when you were in the living face, it's America. How am I going to do this? So that's why it's always America. And how am I going to start now? What do I need to do first? So there's a lot of trial, and my trial usually comes with errors as well, So there are a lot of trial and errors. I'll give you an example off a pretty famous actor, you probably know. So versus Stallone, one of my favorite actors as well. You probably know the movie Iraqi, which is one of the early movies there that made him a big star, not disses, um, as an actor, but also even as a writer as well. But Silver's Air Salone, if you read or learn his journey, is very, very interesting and is very inspiring as well. His purposes about inspiring people in order for them to realize their potential and for them to be able to overcome unbelievable challenges in their life because he felt that that's what he experienced as well, even since he was a baby as well. Because when his mother was in labor and when he got out from his mother, something happened that made the way he thought was a little bit different. But he knew that he wanted to inspire people to overcome the challenges in their life. And he wants to do it in the movie business, not not just TV but movie business. And he started by going through a lot of different agencies, film agencies in in New York City and got denial after denial after the Nile is the trial face. And they said to him that there aren't more than 1000 film. Eighties is in New York City and he said, Yeah, I know I even went to some of them 5678 or even nine times and still get rejected. So here again, trial face and after trial, the next phase. As pitfalls you have, you're facing many challenges when you're living your life purpose, so living your life purpose does not mean oh now I know my life purpose and everything will be smooth. No, actually, it's the exact opposite. Once you new life forms and you're living it, more and more challenges will come. But the difference and this is very, very important left. When you're facing this challenges, you know why you're doing it. It's what makes the whole journey even the challenges, all the ups and downs becomes very, very worth it and fulfilling. Even so, for sure, you will go through that trial face and for sure as well. You will go through the next space, which is your pitfalls. You will face those challenges just like some person Stallone rejection after rejection. But he finally got ah, first yes, from this agency where he got 20 seconds in the movie, little displaying a thug and was beaten up in the movie just for 20 seconds. But that alone, that's even, no matter how small. That's already a validation because he's moving forward regardless, all all of the trial and errors and all the pitfalls. And now it's going for he's He got some validation, even though it's something small and it's now starting to be on track, even though It's just very tiny in the beginning, and that's where the loot goes. Back to trial again. Okay, after got his 1st 22nd he could actually got three of those kind of rules, just less than a minute kind of rules, but he kept frying. Now he wanted to get something bigger and fast forward a little bit in Silver Cyst alone journey. Even after that three rules, just for less than a minute that he got in a few movies. Hey, still never got his breakthrough yet. He keep again, Going back after on track goes back again in the loop in the trial again, and he kept getting rejected and rejected, rejected to get a bigger role. And one day that when he saw the fight between Muhammad Ali and Wepner, he got very inspired with weapons. How after after 15 rounds, the guys bloody like but he's kept coming back, kept coming back, kept coming back and inspired him to write the script for Rocky, which was his first big movie, not just as an actor but also as a writer as well. And what's interesting was when he tried to sold the script for Rocky he got rejected again and again as well, Most people said. Most agency said, that this is too predictable, too sappy. Finally, there's one agency who believe in his script and offered him $125,000. And by the way, back then, he was broke. He didn't have any money. So I'm making, after getting so many rejected and finally have someone who believe in your script will believe in What do you do? And again, that's another validation right and feel like you're on track. But what's interesting that WAAS The agency wanted to buy a script with one condition that he cannot star in it because they thought, like, I'm not this invest this much of money and again it is back in the seventies like $100,000 is a lot of money and services, Stallone said. No, he knew exactly what he wanted. He know what's his purpose. It's not just about selling strip. He wants to inspire people. He wants to be a part of the movie. He felt that I am Rocky, I'm I wrote the script. I'm Rocky, even though he's broke, his still said No. If you don't believe in my script. I don't if you don't believe me as an actor as well, then thank you very much. And he left. But again, after a few weeks about Mistaken the Age, he called it back offer to him $250,000 1/4 $1,000,000 for him, not just a Stella script, but again not to star in that script. Not to start in that in that movie in Rocky as well. So you make that somebody is paying you so you won't start in your own movie. But he knew exactly what he wanted. He knew exactly his purpose of doing all of this, and he said no. And finally, they offered him $325,000 back in the seventies. Does someone who didn't have any money, but he has a clear purpose of why he is doing what it's doing. So he rejected that again, and finally they came to a compromise. Okay, if you're going to star in the movie that we're not gonna buy the strip that much, they finally agreed just for $35,000 for so persistent to sell a script and and they finally made the movie with a budget around $1 million it generated at the box office around $200 million won the Oscars as well. My point off the story and, by the way, servers a cellos story. It's also not unique when it comes to someone's journey in discovering and living the life it was. The story is not running in terms off the faces may be the kind of purposes differ, or the challenge that the people are going toe will be different. But the faces are the same. Once you discovered your life purpose, you will have so many trials and pitfalls the errors part as well. But it's a metal. Keep changing your approach, which finally get you into a validation. And that's what that's what happened to serve for the salon zone, for example, by somebody is buying his script or even the movie got an award. That's also a validation and get him to stay on track in his purpose in living his purpose as well. And what happened? Two separatist someone today. Do you think he still face some challenges? You bet he does. I'm sure it does as well. So and the same thing with me or everyone in this world who no matter how Sex fest successful they are in living their life purpose. They will continue to face challenges. So will I. And so will he was well, so to recap a little bit, the discovery parts start with an internal discomfort. So if you're feeling those kind of internal discomfort, that's the good news. That's actually really cool. It's a matter off you responding it with. The third can respond not feeling like a victim, not just distracting yourself because it is not comfortable. Toe have this discomfort, but to really explore to really try to find and discover your purpose. So that's the exploration part that will take you to the calling part. To finally feel and understand What's your purpose? Discover that lifers and it will take you to the next category, moving on to trial, and then you real face a bit false. I bet I promise you will face that that pitfalls that again. It's worth it once you know why you're doing it and moving to get some kind of validation. And that's what also will also keep you on Frank as well, but you will continue to face challenges. It's a loop. It will, from trial toe pitfalls, toe validation than staying on track. And then it goes back again and again. But along that way, along that process, even though it's looping back and again and again, you continue to grow your impact and your legacy as well as an individual. Because remember your life. Purpose is the thing that will enable you to generate the biggest impact from yourself to other spheres around us of the society. So it might be looking back. But along that loop, you coro in your back, you growing legacy Israel and that process off living your life purpose. It's also a fulfilling kind of joining, which also affect your happiness as well your fulfillment as an individual. So right now, look at the journey. Look at the faces and I'm on my model. Look at the faces where are, you know, go through the document. Look, there are some questions for reflection that will help you to really think back where you are now so you'll know where you want to go, like a GPS. If you want to go somewhere. You need to know where you are now. Otherwise, it's very difficult to navigate along the way. So go to the document and through the exercise as well, and make sure you're in a good environment. In the common environment, there's no destruction and really take the time to do this exercise. And lastly, I congratulate you once again for taking this action for taking the steps, and the journey will still continues. I'll see you soon. 17. Determination: Welcome back with me. I'll leave to the next level in your journey and discovering and living your life purpose. And today, this video, I want to talk a little bit about one off the three crucial elements in your process off discovering and living your life purpose. We just determination, building and maintaining determination. And when I say determination, I don't mean motivation. Yes, the motivation is part of determination. Motivation could go up and down easily. But when we talk about determination is how you maintain that motivation consistently throughout your journey, no matter what kind of challenges that you are facing along the way. So, yes, in our journey we'll all have our ups and downs. We all have our challenge. Rule experience times when you're feeling down. But the how fast can you bounce back up? And that's where determination plays a role not just motivation, but in order to be determined, you need to know how to motivate yourself as well. But because this program is not just about motivation, it's about transformation. So you to be determined, just motivated for, and you need to build and maintain your determination, not just when you're living your purpose, but also during the process of discovery, your life purpose as well, Because during that process discovery you will also face challenges. And I'm sure you already experienced that as well. There are some challenges, like, OK, I tried this way and I find that way. How come I still don't gain more clarity about my life? For example, I'm sure you've experienced that as well, like I did as well. But what is the thing that keeps us going and going and again to try again and again to find different a proof, no matter whether the previous attempts with it was working or not? But we keep on going and try different approaches, even if our previous attempts were not working. For example, with you joining this program as well, it's also a sign of determination. But make sure how we can maintain that illusion along. Go in just a moment, right? There are lots of examples of how people can show their determination during their life journey. One of my favorite examples is from someone that you probably know as well. You probably have heard his name is well from cultural centers. The founder of KFC, Kentucky Fried Chicken. Some of you probably heard his stories when he started KFC that he started his journey founding KFC when he was 65 years old. And at that time it was just living in this trailer and living on a welfare. He received his social welfare $400 at that moment he just felt that he had enough enough. Now I don't want to live my life this way anymore. And he started to see he started looking himself. What are the resource that I have? And one of them is a great chicken recipe that a lot of people, apparently really like, is a No, thank you, Mr Sanders. I already have a lot of chickens that a lot of people are buying, so thank you very much, but I don't need your recipe. So you could be Maybe that's off the exact words, but that's probably just so. He went to the second restaurant and gloriously got another rejection. And the third, the fourth or the 5th 1 How many restaurants did call Mel Sanders I had to go through before he actually got his first? Yes, and many 1500. I guess right now. Pick a number 1000 and nine restaurants. 1000 and nine objections before he got his first. Yes, most of us probably already start questioning out one recipe, even after 2050 rejections. But here's the thing. What Colin L. Centers did. It's not just about repeating it again, trying again and again and again with the same approach, but from each approach from each rejection than he got. He also learned what he needs to adjust. So in that sense, that rejection was not actually a failure because he gained something that he can use in order for him to improve on his next approach on his next attempt. So basically, determination is just a matter of mindset, isn't it? If you think about it, is just a matter of mindset and for you to be determined for anyone to be determining something, one of the most important thing to have is to have the reason why it's important for you. And that is why people already discovered their purpose in life and when they're living there, purposely have determination because they have a clear reason they have a clear why doing this activity doing this journey is important to them. It matters with them why it's clear for them. And that's how determination could be built. Yes, along the way, you will also need support from others. You also need to continue build your skills, your knowledge, your competencies. But even that takes determination as well to continuously build to continually build your skills in honest that extermination. So, my friend, determination basically is changing the things on your list that at this point, maybe it's still something that you should do its on your short list and turning them into a mustard. And in order to change those shirts in tow, must The key is to understand you. Why your purpose in going through all that? Just like what you're doing with this program again and probably I'm thinking, I'm guessing this is not the first learning process you decided to take in order for you to find your meaning to find your purpose in life. Because at the moment when you decided to try again, it means you know that it would be painful for you not to know your purpose, not to live your purpose, and you also understand or do you feel that it would be pleasurable for you to understand your purpose, to know it and even to live it on a day to day basis. So again, it's a matter of changing the ship into must and then free to associate in your mind in your brain that discovering your purpose and living your purpose. It's a pleasurable thing and not discovering your purpose. It's something that is painful for you and how we're going to do that is what we're going to explore in the next video. I'll see you soon. 18. Mastery: Hello, guys. Welcome back earlier in the program. Besides the three clues that you need to explore in discovering your life workers, we also talk about the three elements that you need to continuously build and maintain in discovering and living your life, purpose, determination, mastery and network. In this part of the video, I'm gonna talk a little bit about mastery in general, on Boozer. You know what it means, But I just want to emphasize something that when I talked that when I say mastery, I'm not just talking about being able to do things but really becoming a master and what you do like I'm able to play basketball. But Michael Jordan is a mastery playing basketball like I'm able to sing, but maybe Mariah Carey as a master in that field. So what makes a difference between someone who just able to do something and a master if you read and probably probably read this somewhere as well? I read this in one of the reasons from I read it in the book Mastery, actually from Robert Queen. Also, it was mentioned in Malcolm Gladwell's book The Out Liars that in order to become a master in a particular field. It will take you an investment of time and practice around $10,000 from let's say, this is zero hours is $10,000. If you have talent in this field, your start might be like a little bit ahead here. But it doesn't matter whether you're talented in the field or not. To become a master, you still need to invest the time to get you here to get to do this 10,000 hours. So in the exercise section the document did you have in this program, you will find an exercise that will help you identify what are the skill, the technical skills that you need to master that will help you and accelerate your journey and living your life purpose. Our focus in this video is to identify the technical skills, mastery in the technical skills, not just not just a character or your qualities, not those kind of skills like skills of being patients or the skills off. Let's see how to always be grateful or be calm. No, that's not the kind of things that were the focus now in this part of mastery. Wanted for words to mask your mastery in technical skills, the technical skills that you would need that would help you and living your life. Purpose, for example, could be like public speaking skills or climbing a mountain skills were playing basketball or singing or typing or right. It can be anything but focus on the technical skills that you need to master. So once you go through the exercise you'll find in the document there, they will help you identify. What are the technical skills that I really meat? They really help me in living my purpose. Later on, in the other video, we will talk about I didn't find the right network that would help you to enhance and build the kind of mastery that you need. So take a look in the documents, do the exercise, and we'll see you again in the next video. We're gonna go through the kind of networks that will help you to build those kind of mastery. Make sure you take the time to do it and make sure there's no distraction while you're doing it, because this is for you, not for me, not for everyone else. This is for you. It's your life. Your responsibility. Take charge and make sure you're doing as effective as you can notice. Record in a calm place and a great environment. And give yourself pat in the back once you're done because you continue to take action to make sure that you're living your life to the force. I congratulate you.
