Project Description

Create a Fine Art Print

Using one of the methods presented in the class, create a fine art print from your own original artwork. 


  • Inkjet printer (or, if preferred, a neighborhood print shop or online printer)(my printer)
  • Fine art inkjet paper (order a sample pack here)
  • Scanner or digital camera if digitizing traditional artwork
  • Computer with Adobe Photoshop (30 day free trial here)
  • Exacto knife or box cutter
  • Optional: chipboard, plastic sleeve, rigid cardboard shipping envelope


  1. Your original artwork that you will be creating your print of. What work would you like to turn into an art print? Scan or photograph your image and then share a .jpg or .png of your artwork to your project after watching the intro to this course.
  2. Your print method. What printer and paper will you be completing your final project on and why? Let us know by adding this information to your class project. Also feel free to include and prints or information that helped you arrive at your decision.
  3. Create your print. Follow the steps in lesson 3 and 4 to create and trim your fine art print.
