Project Description

Capture a portrait of your best friend

Your assignment is to photograph a portrait of your best friend. A few tips:

  • Choose a subject who has a bit of time to help you practice. You'll may want to try a few different approaches to try out the tips in this class.
  • Choose an environment where they'll feel comfortable. What place represents them best?
  • Consider lighting. Whether you shoot outdoors or in a studio, make sure your approach is intentional.

Your goal for this project is to photograph a portrait that represents a person you know well, using light as a valuable asset.
