1. Introduction: Hi. Welcome again to another class on paper engineering. Mean images Reminiscent demographic designer from Mexico City. In this class, you will learn a new paper engineering mechanism. I'm going to show you how to make a figure look like it's unfolding with an open closed and how to other banner to it. Thes mechanism works great for greeting card, so click and roll. Let's get started, No. 2. Class project: still store going to need our paper and accept a blade, glue and a paper coming months for this project. I wanted to apply the mechanism you're going to learn on the class to an illustration or a car or whatever you want. Add to process to the project. That's the interesting part. Also, remember to post your piece before and after you cut. Now let's move on to the next face. 3. Mechanism: this mechanism works by a folding movement. It consists in having a base, a circular shape, and if you want a banner, you can alter the interest later, but you need to keep the shape. Start with a circle on the bed every night. Mark the fold ings except for the horizontal line. - Now you can alter the edges the way you want to. I would do it even and symmetrical when you're faced a and they do you base lives a metal folding line over the fold in the line of your base. - Then , before the flu starts to dry, falls the Vanner and basted underneath A and B you're better. Needs to be a little longer down circle diameter. So when you open your mechanism, the banner really sticks out. - Remember tool with measure how much base it is going? Teoh. So it doesn't stake out of your page. Unfolded measure from the end of the circle toe one side, half the size of dependence, and that's the space Ignatz one fold. You can make an illustration on the paper you were going to use for your organism, or you can prints your illustration and then make the mechanism with it. Also, you can always based your illustrations into cardboard because it works best for making paper engineer mechanism. 4. Applied mechanism: way, way, - way , - way , No way, way, way, way, way, way. 5. Wrapping up: That's it for another paper. In your nearing quest, keep an eye out for the upcoming classes with many more new mechanisms. I have you had fun? Don't forget to upload your predicts. I can't wait to check them out. If you need any help, feel free to ask me anything in the discussion section of the class.
