I explained every step off family retouched toe. Make sure you will create fantastic images. 2. Retouching Tools: before we start to do anything, you have to know a few things about what we need to do on the image. I don't want to start the retouch and explaining you all the time. What what I'm doing, because I know it can be a problem for you. So I want to tell you everything you need to know before you start working with your image . And before you start toe changing anything on the image off the child, you have to do. So let's on this image even a little bit more. The first lesson and the first step we always do is cleaning up. Simply clean up. I call the retouch like this so the same us on adult. We have to do a little bit off the retouching, a little bit off the skin, retouching on the little child. It looks a little bit different than normal retouch, however, it's still very important because if we don't know this, the image my look a bit weird. Later on, when we work with the contrast or anything like this, the things that are not perfect can be even more visible. So have a look on this image and everyone come angry. The things that needs to be fixed, we see a little bit off the red areas over here. Off course. I don't want to remove this totally, but let's clean a little bit off the red spots from this area. And the second thing that it's a very visible on this image is this area over here for sure . It doesn't look so well, and I don't think it's the natural color off the child. But maybe that was wrong, cried or just in their camera, Especially when it's not that professionals sometimes can pick up some of the weird colors . So for sure these things we have to work on a little bit on the cheeks and a little bit over here. And after this, I'm going to show you how to smooth your skin without making your child looking like a dull without making dull from your child. Actually, I've seen many pictures. I've seen many photographers that doing plastic skin on the image, and we have to all agree it just doesn't look well. So how toe smooth the skin in natural way. How to make the skin look really nice. In photo shop. We have few basic retouching fools. These tools are on the left side on the two panel, and the first off is this tool, which is healing brush tool. It's perfect to remove Agnes on the adults or legal spots from the image. The other one is spot here in brush Tool, which was very similar to hear him brush toe. It's so much easier to use this, however, it's not that precise. So I usually don't used is that much and the last one is patched. We can pick up the areas that it's not really that perfect. Enter place this area by order area, which contains similar skin texture. The other two is just brush toe. I usually work with Pashto when I have some colors, Tofik. So it's very great to work if we want to fix some colors and the last tool that we usually do retouching is clone stamp toe. However, they think I have to tell when I do child retouching. I don't use trans time through that much. I usually keep this forward adult, so for for Children, I usually don't use crown stamp toe that much, So now, as we know they're retouching tools, we are ready to start our basic skin retouching on our child 3. Basic Skin Retouch: And first of all, I don't want to work on this layer because I don't want to destroy this. If we goingto work on this layer, simply speaking, we going toe mess up on this layer. We don't want this. So what I'm going to do, I'm just going toe duplicate this layer to duplicate this layer. We can heat right on this air and click duplicate layer are we just can simply press control, command and J to duplicate this layer. So right now we duplicate layer, and on this layer, I usually work with patch to. When I work with different tools, I create new layer above Kenya layer to not mess up on this layer, which contains the image. So at first, I'm going to show you how can we use the patch to? In this case, we cannot use this that much. But actually, in this area, I find I have actually changed to use it. So what I'm going to do, I'm going toe select the area that I don't like and move it to the other place. And actually what you can see we replaced the texture off the imagery didn't like in the good texture. Now I'm going to grab another part and once again the same and actually what is happening, this image getting a bit better. Look all the time we cannot go got close to the edge cause it's not that easy and we can grab some of the bad areas. So that's why I usually work with very small parts. But we can work as much as we can, so let's have a look. As you can see, the skin texture is getting a bit better. I'm going to try with this one as well, and maybe here so. As you can see, it's very simple to use this. I always grab very small parts because when we grab big part, we can lose a beat off control. So they grabbing the small parts. I actually fix quite much off this area and when we go to Delhi mate, when we feel that we use all of the possibilities that gives us patch tal, we can sweet into the healing brush tool and I'm going to start working on this empty layer . So let's call this healing brush and remember, when we create new layer, check over here all layers because we have to work on the old layers. When we use this, we want toe. This effect toe went through. The other layers are swell. So let's, um, this layer and the thing with that child skin is that child skin is very soft is not like the adult skin texture. So in adults we work with huge harness. However, when it's our child, always said harness very soft because we're not going to destroy the skin texture in a way . And I press old next to them area I want to fix and just then just paint with this killing brush toe on this area and what is happening? You can see very softly. We fix that skin texture to the better. Don't be afraid, and I usually press quite many times I usually take a clone quite many times from the area next to the one I want to fix. So it gives me usually the better results. She got to see. It looks much better now. You don't have this weird spots over here. I'm going to try to make this a bit bigger and paint with the bigger one. So we normalized this a little bit. Now I'm going to the cheeks and I'm going to do the same with the chief. As you can see, we have this little spots. I'm not going to remove men off them, but just this small spots. It's always good to remove your them to make the skin texture looks a bit better. And now let's go to the other side, do the same thing. As you can see, This contest is quite soft, but still we did a great job justice in few simple steps. The last thing I'm going to show you is crime stamp, too. I just not Is this spot over here? And after this, I'm going to show you crime stample. So I'm going to create new layer once again. And this time I'm going toe you call. This clone stamp is, um, disquiet much once again. And chrome stamp tool works really great if you want to brighten up the area so we can't do everything with healing brush so we cannot do everything with Patch tool. So that's great thing that we have a few different tools in fourth shop and every other tool is great for something. So now I'm going to use Crown Stamp, too. I'm going toe use a very soft brush and then I'm going to change the flow to the smaller one. Let me explain how flow works. I'm going to create new project. And when we choose a brush, for example and we have very soft flow, I'm going to set this around 20 and we paint over in the same area. As you can see, the color is going to build up the same. I'm going toe change the color for the blacks who will be better visibility but me stop in one place. The color is going to build up a swell, however, when we use capacity, which is very soft and we going toe paint in the same place, no matter how many times we're going to paint, the color is not going to build up to beat up the color. We have to antique or just speak up our pen and paint once over and once again, etcetera. So that's how flow works the same in the case over the clams timeto I'm going to set the very soft flow. Let's say 20 something. It gives me a nice comfort I'm going to make this size a bit smaller, and I'm going to change more for lighten how lightning works. Let's have a look. I'm going to take a throne and then I'm going toe paint over this area just a little bit. Don't think too much right now. I have toe do a step back. So let's do this once again, bent over once. Just take a con once again and then paint once again the same in this area. So as you can see, we get in really nice effect. We can smaller size and paint as many times as we need until we get the perfect look. So when we get there, let's have a look. As you can see, we remove the bad areas from the skin. Two men make this even out the skin Around this, we can make the size bigger so we cannot notice the difference with the other parts. So that's very simple. Use off clone stamp toe. As you can see, it was red, and right now we removed the bad red areas off course. We kind of work around these to make this area look better everywhere and everywhere. When you come where you have the bad black areas, you can brighten this up using long stamped. So this is very fantastic to its perfecto Do this kind of job. So right now I'm going toe cell. It'll of this layer press control or command G. And put this to the group in this group, I'm going to call clean up. 4. Child 3 1: skin softening is very common subject in child retouch. However, I've seen many images. I have seen many photographers who's been doing this runk and the reason why cause they used to just blur out the skin off the child. That's not the point. We don't want to blurt out the skin off the child coast. It's going to look fake, so they think I'm going to do. I want toe even out the tones and colors of the skin to make this small, but I don't want to lose the texture of the skin. So how to do this? There's one technique, which is called frequency separation. It's quite basic technique, actually. It's very simple to use this, and it allows us toe keep the texture off the skin. So what is frequency separation? I'm going to try to explain to you I'm going to try to explain this to you as quick as possible and as simple as possible. So frequency separation is technique. When we goingto spirit our image for two separate images and on one image, we're going to keep information about colors and tones and the other image on the other layer. We're going to keep information about texture. So that's what we going to do. And this kind of thing allows us to work separately on the turns and separately on the texture. So what we have to do? They have toe duplicate my image twice. But at first I have to create a stamp on the top because, as you can see right now on the top, I have group. So to create a stamp of the top, we have to press out control or command shift and E. And this layer will be low frequency cause when we spirited the image in tow two layers one is low frequency, the one which contains information about colors so colors and low frequency. That's how I'm going to call this. And now I'm going to duplicate this layer control or command date, and this will be texture and high frequency. So low frequency is responsible for colors. High frequency is responsible for the texture. At first I'm going to start with this low frequency layer and what we have to do. As I said, at first, we going toe work with colors and turns and a so you can see, I replied, This all the time, so we have to blow out our details. Let's go toe filter blower and gosh in blue. As you can see, I'm going to set the radios. And what's the point of outrageous when I Kinneret this low? Nothing is happening, of course, because it just blower and I pulled are just too high. I blew out everything. We want to find the point when we actually blurring out the details and when we cannot not , is the details anymore. But we can still see the main shapes off the image like lips, eyes, contours and everything. Credit this. I think in this case it will be our. Then I put too much and that's quite all right. So do not look at my radios, but find the point where you're going to blow out the details. But you can see the shaping depends on the size of the image. In the image is smaller than mine. The value off right use will be smaller. If the image is bigger than mine, the value off radios will be higher. So then press OK and now I'm going toe textural layer, and I'm going to just image and apply image. So what is happening here? At first we're going to set up the source as the source. We're going to take information from the color layer. So on this layer there will be only information on the things that do not exist on this color layer. So find this color slow frequency, and then we have to set blending. Planning is subtract and scared, too, and offset 128. That's always the same value. However, that's eight bit image. If you have 16 bit image, this value over here will be different. For example, role images are 16 bit. So if you work on raw image without conversion toe, eight bit image, the value will be different. And then on the 16 beat image, the value will be out here. The blood name will be added. Skate Oh, offset Zero and we have to check the box. Invert, however eight bit image looks like this press. OK, then we have to change blending mode from normal toe building. All right, and what is happening right now I'm going to put this to the group and tell you a bit about this control or command G and I'm going to call this group F s as frequency separation. So I'm going to interact visibility on this layer. And as you can see, nothing is changing. In this group, we keep the same information as on our result, which is here. So these two layers contains exactly the same information as the original image, which was before exactly the same information. But the information are just plead for two separate layers. These two separate layers looks totally different without this, but altogether looks the same as our image. So that's why nothing is changing. And I'm going toe work on on these colors there. So I'm going to duplicate this layer there is on Why, cause I don't want to mess up on this layer. And if I'm going to duplicate even if I do a mistake, that's no problem. I'm just going toe, remove this layer and create this again. Wi Fi would need toe removed everything. So control or command J To duplicate this and what we have to do, there is option like mask which exists over here. You can press Q as well. So true. Sat first last total resume this image 74 days and pain this circle like me something like this. And then click musk Or you can just press you on your keyboard. You will see the same result and we have to get something which has this nice A blurred edges. If you're edges are not blow. You have to pull up your feather up to make soften edges. Or if that's too soft, you have to pull down your feather a little bit more. I think around this value, it's OK for me. So finally, when we do this select quite big area something like this, I'm going to select all the cheap as you can see. Then I'm going to filter Blower and goes on lower if we keep the radius Law one second. Nothing is happening. If we pull up, the rage is too high. As you can see, the skin is getting great. So we have toe pull this up very slow and find the point when their skin actually look very nice. It was too high. I think our 25 will be okay for me and I'm right. So it depends on the size of your image once again and you're going to see which value is right. As you can see, these talks over here are much better. So I'm going to do this on the rest of the skin. Where I want to feed is the toms. We can repeat this garden floor Press control Command F to repeat this and now quickly. I'm going to do this on the rest part of this image on the other areas. So it's fantastic. Metal, especially for child photography, works really great without losing texture. We're goingto fix this image really nice way a bit on the hands over here to fix this. You don't have to be scared off using days. It's not destructive. That's normal method. Nothing will happen to you. It's very safe method. If we used this clever nothing to worry about. So that's it. That was very quick. Um, fix. As you can see, we were working on this. Now we can see the result. We felt frequency separation technique, and after we use frequency separation technique, you have to say fantastic method. Our child looks so much better and what's the most important? Our child looks still natural 5. Child 4 1: after this, we want to improve all of the contours of distract. We wants to improve all of the shadows area runs to improve all of them, bright areas. So what we have to do, we going to use a dodge and burn? And I can guarantee you that after this step, this child is going to look so much food her and the impression will be nearly us. This child is going to pop out from the image. So in photo shop you have Dutch and Barry. It'll, however, what I have to tell you. I'm not using this tool that much, but I'm using something different, and in my opinion, it's much better method to use the Dutch and burn in the way I use. At first, let's talk about the fact what is dodging and burning? So there's a few things we do indulge in in burning is the 1st 1 is burning and the other one is dodgy. Burning is painting with the darkness in the darkness to improve the shadows area off the image to improve the contours, and dajun is painting into the likeness, so we going toe improve all off the bright areas of the image like cheeks hands a little bit here, So it's going to give us really nice affect how I'm doing, dodging and burning. I'm using curve adjustment layers. You can find them over here. In your adjustments, you can go true. This area curves and the first curve will be four burning. And then I'm going to create a new one. Inverted the color here. But so curve number one is as other. So as I said, we going toe pent into the darkness, some going to grab this, come over here and pull it down to the level. I will be happy. I don't want to burn this too much. So I'm going to set up the maximum value of my burn over here and then curve number two, which is Dutch. I'm going to call this Dutch, so I'm going to pull up the curve cause we going to depend with the night. So to this level, I think, And now let's inverted this layers. So control or command I and once again, control or command I. So I'm going to start with a better liar. They think you have to notice I'm going to press shift and click on this. So make this layer mask invisible. And as you can see, burn makes our image a bit to saturate it. So what I usually do, I'm going to hue saturation and I take down to the saturation to the level this image You're going to have really nice colors. I think in this case will be around 15 just like this, so you can see the difference. It's too saturated here. Here is very natural. So I'm going toe heat right on this issue saturation layer and create clipping mask So this hue saturation effect will only apply to this layer. You can see this when I open this layer as you can see nothing exchanging cause this dark color is make this layer invisible. So this effect I supplying only here. So it's invisible as well about that. The other thing about that makes cause as we paint with flights, it makes our image saturated so we can use the same thing and we can use you saturation and bring up just a little bit saturation to this layer. Not that much as before, but to make this a bit more saturated and the same once before he tried created Sleeping Mask. And we have something like this. So now all of this, I'm going to put into the one group and then control command G. And I'm going to call this Dajun burn. Now let's open this and we are ready to start working as I showed you before how the flow works. We're going to use something very similar. I'm going to choose a brush, but in this case, I'm going to set flow on Lee at 3% so very soft. I'm going to start with Baron. And remember, the color you have to have selected is color white because we have to make visibility on this dark layer. If it's black, we paint with opposite color. I'm going to choose very soft brush, which is true. Then, right now and now, I'm going to zoom this and what I'm going to do. I'm going toe paint the darkness as the contours allows me. I'm just going to paint with the counters as you can see. Nothing complicated a little bit. We can paint on the eyebrows to make them just a bit darker. And then, once again, nothing complicated. Very simple depend with the Contras because we have all of the shape on the table so we can see everything we have shape here, so we don't do anything complicated. We just spent as the shape allows us to paint, have a look very soft effect as you can not ease. And that's great, actually, because I'm not looking for strong effect. And if we want something stronger, look, how simple is that? I'm going toe open this and that's the value off this method. If our effect is not strong enough, we going toe pull down our curve a little bit more, and the effect will be stronger as you can see. And we can actually build up this effect till the level. We will be happy because we using very soft flow, so it's going to take a while. But we have huge conference off working with this huge value off working with such a soft flow, we can be sure we're not going toe destroyed. The image just a year and here a little bit more on the contours here where shadows go, that's on this out. It'll be so so as you can see, that's all I'm doing here. Nothing complicated does improve. The country's a little bit to make this nice shape. Nice, sharpened shape I should can see after days. I'm going to truth, Dutch. The one thing I have to say, if you do any mistake, you can just truce black color and thinks the areas you wait, you think are not that great. And that, actually is even seem more easier because we just seem on their open areas. We just paint on the open areas as you can see cheeks the open areas and just going toe paint on the bum cheeks to make them a bit more cuter, a bit brighter and have a look. Fantastic effort. The one tree comes going to tell you when resumed their scene, and the thing I really like to do is painting above the eyes between their eyes and eyebrows. It makes really nice impression the area is going toe look a bit bigger, so that's why I would like to do this Big Morse here and a little bit on the hand. So I'm using very soft touch in Ben. We don't want toe destroyed in need. As you can see, that's the contours to see this We can press out and just hit this layer That's my burn layer You can see how the contours goes. Here is the contour of the face. Here is our hands So we go in dust with contours You can see if you did this right on this layer I paint a bit more here So here how the country's goes You can paint a bit more here and have a look on the Dutch layer I brighten up this cheeks as you can see So we just Brighton in the areas we want here is hand yours cheek. So very easy to notice how we doing this. I'm going toe Remove this strength over here Maybe put a little bit too much and now it will be really great and a beat more this bright colors. I want this cheeks really pop out from the image, So don't be afraid of music. And once again, I can just bring up the curve if I think it's not enough and I think that would be old. That's our dodging and burning. That's how you do Dajun burn in really nice, simple way 6. 4a 1: another fantastic thing I'd like to show you about. Dajun burning is how to Dutch and burn her off the object. As you can see, this girl has really beautiful hair. So how can we make this her even more beautiful? I'm going toe open my dodge and burn group. I did exactly the same steps as I did before. However, I wasn't doing there basing cleaning because it wasn't necessary. This Children and 1/2 in this sport. But all of these groups are the same. I did frequency separation, dodging and burning. And now I'm going to do once again dodging and burning. But it will be very specific. Course, I'm going to do this only for the hair. And I'm going to show you how to do this regrade if we touch and burned her. So I'm going toe do separate group for this dajun burning. I've done control command chief, and I'm going to call this control. And now I'm going toe create two new dodge and burn layers. So I'm going to use curve adjustment layers exactly the same as before. And I'm going to call one off this burn and the second that exactly the same once before. The one thing that we do differently than before is that I'm not going toe. Apply hue saturation layer above this Bernier, as you cannot, is when I drag it down, they are going to look really nice because ofcourse, we get into saturated. But when we apply a bit more believable color into the hair, they are actually going to look better than before. So that's why I'm not applying anything above this layer. So control command I to invert this layer. And what about the Dutch layer? I'm going toe pull arm days, but we're losing some saturation. So this time above this layer, I'm going to apply quite much saturation, and it's going to give me really nice effect. Of course, that black and white was just a mistake. So hue, saturation, and I'm going toe. Apply something more than 10 event, and I'm getting this really nice colors right now. I really like at this point, so let's applied this hue saturation layer, create clipping mask, saw its going toe apply only to the star player and this Dutch layer. I'm going to invert Control Command, I So I'm going to start with the burn layer. Choose a brash as before and color white flow is very soft at 2%. So it's pretty much of Salem, as I'm starting with, better have to zoom this in and change the dark area. So it's over here, so I'm going toe paid around the dark areas a little bit to make this a bit more color. Dark arrests here on the bottom, So I'm just painting over. You don't have to be really careful because it's very easy when we have such a beautiful have just paint over the same about the boy. Just a little bit over here. And now let's have a look How it looks right. It's a very small change, the hair as judged a beat dark in so we can apply even more off course. We have to use this with our head. Don't apply too much, but a fly just enough to make the hurdle beautiful. And now I'm going to the Dutch layer and using the same brush floor. 2%. I'm going to paint over that bright and areas, and that's the key. It's going bright and at the same point it's going to get really nice saturation. So that's the key for this effect. Actually, the Dutch layer is the key for is because it's going to keep us really beautiful efforts here. I need to beat on the front. I'm going to pay, so have a look. It is beautiful. It just strong, beautiful, full of life. I really love this effect. You can apply us mantras you want. Of course, you have to keep control, but it just it's really difficult to lose. Control the windows, and you have to say that her look absolutely beautiful a little bit. I'm going to Brighton after her on this boy's hurt. So it doesn't matter if we retouched Children or if we retouch adults. If this person has beautiful long her, that's the key. How to improve this? You have to say it's very simple. If your wife anyone. If your model, if your child has beautiful longer, why not to make them even more beautiful? So right now I'm going to pull this to the group control commander G, and I'm going to call this her. So let's have a look. That's how it looked before, and that's how it looked after these simple change. As you can see. Just beautiful change. So that's how you do Dodging and burning on the hair. 7. Child 5 1: in this lesson, I'm going to show you how to create really amazing background colors. How toe make the specific color pop out from the image. The thing I'm talking about. As you can see, we have really beautiful blue background. And for sure we want to improve this. We want to make a little bit more contrast between this child and this background to make this look really amazing. So I'm going to show you very simple steps. How you can do this? I'm just going to choose very simple color. We going toe creek on the bottom, open your adjustment layers and go toe solid color. The thing you have to chose choose the color which is suitable to your bank and I'm going toe chose this strong, nice blue color. Then I'm going to change blending month from normal toe color course not saturation to color. So how color works color actually affect everything which is colorful on the image. And then I'm going toe pull down capacity down toe. 20 few percent, I think will be will be right value for days and what we have to do next. We don't want this color toe be applied on our child. So we have to remove this area This color from this area. I'm going to show you how to do this. Remember when we were doing frequency separation? We were used in quick mask. So right now I'm going to use quick mask. Once again, I'm going to choose a brush and your brush has to house color black. Remember, Jackie features a brush. It has toe has color back. I'm going to change the flow to 100%. And I'm going toe do something different Brush a soft bottom something not that solved. And when I choose a brush when I choose flow everything 100% press cute to choose a quick mask and paint on this area When we have color black, you have to notice that everything when we paid with color black everything is getting red . So paint this carefully on all of your child just like I do When you got closer to the edge you can make your breast smaller so you will be sure that you want to go And a mistake I'm going to depend is very quick thing Hot. I prefer toe have natural colors as well, so I'm going to paint over these a swell. So if sometimes when you work with foot shop and you see the red color, remember you press Q on your keyboard. So if you press once again, you will tell enough because one day edges, however, what I have to tell you when we have blending motors a color, it's not visible if we do very soft mistake. If we go, if we break down the edges, it won't be visible in the way. So don't worry much. If you paint a little bit on your background, it's OK, so I beat more on the hard. I'm trying to do this us fast as possible for you, and we're nearly done. So that's okay. And once the next step after we paint over all of this image quick, my quick mask is just selection. So when we press Q once again, as you can see, our child is selected, some going to choose this layer mask next to my color, and fantastic thing is to selection toe. He tried and the select in verse. Then, when we are on this sire, press control or command and I and what happened. We just invert the color on this layer into the black, so have a look. Our child still have natural colors, but the background is changed. So that's very simple way. How to improve the color as you can see our color. The blue collar was a bit washed out before, and right now our color is full oflife. You want to improve this even more off course, there's a way. Before I start. I have to tell you if you have yellow background, use yellow color. If you have green background, just used green color. The very important thing, even if the picture is made outside on the grass in the park, is just green color for everything. It's going to look really amazing. Trust me. So right now I'm going toe hue, saturation and how to improve your bandera even more. Once again, it depends. We'd background, do you half You have green background, yellow background, blue background change The master this kind of mood from Master I have blow, so I have to find blue color. Here we are. I have Bill Color. Let me some days A bit more so I will see the edge is very clear. And when I bring up saturation, she comes to this effect. I think my background on my background because nothing else is blue on this layer on Lee. The heart off the tired is blue, but it doesn't affect that much. And we can simply clean this. So I'm goingto bring up the saturation toe. 20 few, uh, and I think it's enough and I'm going toe. Make this. We can change them blue area. I beat more wide, a big, less wide as you can see. So it's going to affect that big area. I'm going to set like this. It's all right, but from this side, I'm going to cut this off a bit because it's going to affect some of the red colors. I don't want this, so that's all right. Let's have a look. As you can see, it's really it really nicely affect our background. We can even pull up a bit more of saturation. I'm going to blow once again, and I'm going to give the value nearly 30. So we have green eyes, strong blow color. If you're worried about your child, you can just makes elections later. Command or control hit on this and you have selection and you can apply this once again to this right now it's wrong. We have toe do select inverse once again sell it universe and applied this that this control command I and it's not going toe affect our our tribe. I'm going toe. It was the back. It's not affecting my child much. And if it's a fertile, it will be this hard. I think I really like this. So that's how it looks like. And that was very simple steps. How to improve the colors off your background, how to make the any colors actually want pop out from the image right now. I'm going to put this to the group control command T, and I'm going to call this colors pope out. 8. Child 5a 1: and we are after this step, we make our colors pop out. But you know what? Now you can ask me why I'm showing. You have to pop out the colors when I have just one color on my image. When I have just one color in my background and you can think, Well, it's too easy. What if I have few colors on the image? How can I make them pop out? How can I improve the colors? Well, that would be good questions, cause now I'm going to show you example on the other image when we have very colorful background, when we have many colors on the meat and how to improve them. I have this little image over here. I did some off the retouch already as you can not this so what I'm going to do. I'm going to use Hue saturation as before, but now I'm going to show you are a bit more precise. I'm going toe, show you example on few different hue saturation layers, so I'm going toe, create the first hue saturation layer, and let's see which colors we have the first car I have. It's not exactly background, but It could be very beautiful background if we're going to make this pop out and the color is blue days jumper off. This boy is very blue. So we going toe improved this colors. I'm going to change them mud from master into the blues. I found this. So right now let's drag saturation up and we have just this blue collar. Just there's Jumper is on the blue, Nothin else. So that was very easy. Step right. So right now we can close this hue saturation and find another color and dollar color. I want to improve. Their are red. So I'm going toe open another hue saturation layer, and I'm going to change much from Master toe Retz. And now, they think is a bit more difficult. Actually. Discolor on this image is the most difficult cars red colors we have everywhere. Red colors are on the lips. Red colors are somewhere on the face on the hand. So it's very difficult. However, as I did this, let's pull of the saturation toe 100% off first, and we can see what it actually picked up the red color. So I'm just going to change the range off my red color down here and make it a bit smaller , so because it's going nearly to the yellow color. So I have to grab this cider and maybe something smaller. I think this wrench would be enough actually like this, so it's a bit smaller wrench, but still, everything is very strong. Now I'm going to make the saturation smaller. I'm going to make the saturation around 30 few points and we improved the colors Really nice. I like the Reds right now. However, we don't want to affect this area. Nothing which could be more easier than days. I'm going to choose black color off the brush. Another one thing I'm going to do. I'm just going to paint over a little bit on the face without any complications. Don't think too much to spend over here where we have the red color, a few areas, the areas where you remember and we found any complications just paint over and the problem is solved. Actually, I had very soft flow did not. So once again, I'm going to paint over and the problem solved. As I said, we have red colors when we want to half red colors, and we don't have red corals where we don't want to have. And the last color I would like to improve a little bit. It's red. So once again I'm sorry. Green off course. So once again, hue saturation, Master, find greens. Yeah, we have greens and I'm going to pull up saturation once again. Not too much, just like this. And we got really beautiful colors on this image. So as you can see, it's very simple. Now I can creat a group. I'm going to press, shift and select all of these areas than control or command G. To put this to the group and I'm going to rename this colors pop out. Once again, there's few more methods you can use if you want Toe and chancellor colors. You can go toe your adjustment layers once again and then find color balance. We goingto balance our colors a little bit, and we have free times. We have Meet Tom's Shadows and highlights. This area is pretty much our mittens. It's not into the highlights. It's not into the shadows as well. So I'm going to show you on the example of me turns when we're going to bring up. We can bring up some of the red colors. So as you can see, we're goingto bring some kind off autumn effect. We going very warm effect. I really like this. And we can play with others. Maybe with red colors. Just a little bit, but not too much. As you can see, the effort is not that beautiful anymore. So I usually play just a little bit. I don't want to make this look fake. I don't want to make this too strong. Maybe reds too much as well. 15 is absolutely enough. As you can see in this image. Looks recognize really warm. At this point, we can try different moments as well. Different tones. We can play with highlights as well. But the mittens is the most universal. So I don't want toe show you too many things I don't want to show you. Every time you can just play on your own, Check the shadows. How does it work? As you can see, some off the reds are in shadow. So if I'm going to pull it up here, I'm going to change me. Turns down. So it all depends on your taste whatever you like. If you don't want to affect your model, the one thing you have to do, especially I don't want to affect the face once again and hands. So I'm just going toe paint with color black once again on this layer mask, so paint very carefully to bring up his natural colors. Off course. Remember, you can mask out of this image, and then it would be much easier for you when you're going to mask this out. It's very easy. I don't have any troubles with this, so I don't need to mask out this image. But if you want to do this, it will be always easier for you to do this. If you want to do a selection, I'm just going to paint over it, clear on their hands, a little bit on the face. And I brought up his natural colors. So that's the other example on very colorful image, how you can make your colors pop out 9. 6 1: the great image is the image which has fantastic contrast. Let's have a look on this image. What I've done. As you can see, I have on the one there. And that was the image before I applied this one layer. And that's how the image looks like. After I applied this one layer. As you can see, I built up fantastic contrast. So how to make such a contrast on your images? I'm going to show you on this example a different example. But we're going to use exactly the same method, the way I built the contrast I used on the one layer. And this layer is levels. I'm not using anything else. So let find levels in our on Justman player when we click here, find levels and what is actually develops. I'm going to explain in this very quickly. As you can see, we have tree sliders on this on these history. Graham, the left one is black. The middle one is great. The right one is wide black. Slighter is responsible for other shadow area. The great one. Ismet Tom's The white one is highlights. So actually, what we do in levels were going to set up the times. We're going to set up the balance between the highlights and the shadows on our image. So actually, when we work with evils, we set up the bounds between shadows. Between highlights, we set up the turns off the image and all the things like this. So as you can see what I grab this dark black cider and go to the right side, my images getting darker, it's going to affect all of the areas which are in in shadow with her dark. So I'm going to pull up just a little bit. Not too much because I find this image quite dark. So you have to see what works great for you. Then I'm going to the white cider and pull it down a little bit to bring up some lights and I find this in this level, it looks really great. This image is bright, full of contrast and something I really want. If you think that balance between this two between the shadows and highlights isn't so perfect, you can always grab the slider in the middle and set up the violence. As you can see when we go to the dark side, our shadows area is going toe effect. More things. It's going toe wrenches, getting bigger when we grab and pull it into the right side when we pull it to the left side. As you can see, our highlights area is getting bigger. The wrench off the highlights is getting higher. I'm really happy with the settings when it's actually at one, and I like the contrast I built over here. If you think you bring up too many too much shadows, you can always knocked down the dark colors using this slider below the same. If you think you bring up too many highlights, you can always knock down some of the highlights. Using this wide slider in levels, you can always set up the colors us where many photograph Er's try to build Absalom off the effects using levels. But I do not recommend that I don't play with levels when it's about colors. We have few different tones, as you can see red, green and blue. And how does it work when we pull up the dark slider in the red color, we goingto bring up opposite color to the red so very cold color when it going to work with the white one? We're going to bring up the strong red colors. I'm not going to work with this. The same thing happened in blue. So as you can see, black cider goingto bring up some off the yellow colors, which looks actually really great on this image and the white one going to bring up some of the cold colors. Maybe I'm going toe bring up just a little bit off the yellow points to make this image even warmer. But that would be all. I don't want to affect this image too much with other colors, and now I'm going to call this layer contrasts. If you think the conference, it's a big toe strong. After you did this, you can always drive Europe ass itI and pull it a bit down to the level. You will be happy about your contrast. So that's how you build the contrast on your image 10. Brighten the eyes 1: the one thing you have to know curves are really amazing because there is another thing we can do using curves. As you can see, this girl has really beautiful eyes. But what if someone has a bit darken eyes, how to improve them? And even if someone has such a beautiful eyes like this guy, how to make them even more shiny? There's one way you can do this. Actually, there's many way. But I'm going to show you the best one and the easiest one. Go to your adjustment layers and open curves once again. I don't want to think you have to do grandes curve on the middle. Pull it up just a little bit to the point you will be happy. But don't worry. You can change this any time. And now I'm going to invert the color on this lame ass control command I to invert days, and now I'm going to assume this even more to see the eyes off this girl. So I have still flow very soft. It's pretty good, but I'm going to pull up this just a little bit more. Maybe till 6% and I have brushed. So I'm just going to make the size of this brush a bit smaller to make this suitable for this I and let's paint just a little bit over here. Let's play this bit here just as I do have a look much better and other I super simple, absolutely easy. And the other think we CanDo, which going to help us even more. This girl has a big gray eyes. I want to make this size. I'm beat blue, just a. It will be to make it still look natural. So let's go to your curves and change them out from RGB to blow. So what I'm going to do, I'm going to grab this curve and pull it up just a little bit. Some contracts. Just drag it down over here and pull it up for highlights. So have a look. This eyes are a big bluish right now. If it's too strong, just pull it down. Just I, as I do a little bit, I add just a little bit off this bluish effect. So let's have a look from the distance. As you can see, this was the eyes before, and that's after this week. Retouch as you can see, It still looks very natural. I'm not such a huge fan of applying a fake effect, but this eyes, what we can not is our shiny are blue and looks just amazing. Of course, we can apply more blue color if you like. It's all up to you how much you're going toe, apply this. So I'm really like thes eyes I've done right now. So what I'm going to do now? I'm just going to rename this layer in tall, bright and eyes And there is one more thing we can do. Let's zoom this once again. Sometimes on this image we don't have this problem. But if you have thes whites over here a bit yellowish or they have some weird sports, the easiest way is to use curbs. Once again, pull it up, universe the layer once again and pay on it just to make this wides beat. Writer, I don't need to do this and actually, I don't want to do this on this image because maybe I'm going to make this to fake. However, if you have the problem, you can actually do this. So let's have a look from the distance. I'm going toe. Put all of this into the group control Commander G. And I'm going to call these eyes. So that's how it looked before. That's how it looked after this simple retouching. You have to say the effect is just amazing. The eyes are beautiful bride and everything. What's the best about the eyes? I'm going toe fix this a little bit more over here. So I did. Didn't white and them really that much? Because I didn't want I bring up, bring down some off the opacity So that's how you can improve the way the ice looks like. 11. Child 7a 1: in this lesson, I'm going to show you how to make your final adjustment on images which were taken outside in the places like park on, maybe even the street. As you can see, I have this beautiful image off the family over here. And this image you've seen before, the child in the park and the leaves around this child, of course. So what I'm going to do, I'm using exactly the same methods as before. I'm using exactly the same methods us for the pictures which were taken inside. Let's have a look how our selective colors works like So we have to analyze at first. Which colors do you see on the picture? Always ask the question to herself so I can see a lot of green and yellow colors. So this two colors I'm going to work with selective colors. I'm going to find yellows at first, and as before, just have a try. How does it work best for you? For yellows. I'm going to bring up the science. If I see a lot of green colors the same, I'm going to try Magenta, and I'm going to pull down a little bit off the magenta with yellows. I'm not going to work that much. As you can see doesn't just work great. It's going to destroy the image, so I'm going to let it go. Then I'm going to change yellows for greens the same. I'm going toe, have a try with greens, how the greens works for me. And this time, as you can see, it doesn't affect that matches before the yellows affected. So we have just a small change. We brought up the green colors for our image. The next step, these curves off course, I'm going to curves, and in this case I'm going toe Add just a bit line. So I'm just going toe work with the RGB mood. So I'm going to pull down this curve, trust that it will be just really a little bit on the shadows area and bring it up toe at some lights to the faces of these people. Then I'm going toe changed the red, and I'm going to try with this. This image can be a beat to read right now, as you can see. So I'm going toe the more blue, and I'm going to give just a bit off cold. If it just like this, so DATs after curves. As you can see, this image has much more life and really interesting efforts right now. The last step we can go, I'm going to for the future, and this image is very warm. It's actually after summer, as you can not is we have a lot off leaves on the grass, etcetera, so this color is just perfect for it. I'm just going to kids like that. If it's too strong, you can always take down some capacity at the end, the same ones before I'm going to grant a map. And remember our settings. The color graze one dark gray for our shadows and for our highlights, just soft gray color. And then I'm going to change, blending ones from normal toe luminosity. So right now it's very strong. We have to take down a paucity, really a lot down to 30% on 30% and it makes this imagery dark. Some I'm going toe leave us to bring up some of the lights, not that much shadows. The things are really worried about the lights, so have a look that's before. Let's put all of this to the group Control command G and color adjustments. I'm going to call this color adjustment. So that's how it looked like. As you can see, we brought up so much color, so much life to this image, and now I'm going toe work with this. Try it. So I'm going to do this quickly this time, As you can see, we have a lot of red colors. Let's work with Fred Close. Let's start with selective color and I'm going to start with greens. We have just a little bit off green colors on the background, so I'm going to make them a bit warmer. I'm going to work with Sion and yellow about threat colors. That's very interesting things. Actually, I think this red colors maybe a bit too strong, so I'm going to knock them down. Just a little bid and I'm going toe. Get in tow all Renji colors instead off such a strong red color. So bring have some of the yellows on the red colors, and I'm going to take down some magenta. So now, as you can see, we got really autumn. It's not that strong. We have really nice colors. The rains we have already sorted out. And the last thing he ciolos we have a lot of yellow colors. I'm going to bring up some of the yellow colors and just a little bit off magenta on these . The science, as you can see, what I'm taking this down is going to give me some off the nice warm colors over here. So let's hollowed small step. But this image now it's much warmer. And actually, the red colors are not the strong anymore. Once again, I'm going to curves as before and what I'm going to do, I'm going toe, add some of the contrast. I'm going to bring up some lights to this area. I'm going to try with red colors. Have will have a lot of days. So I'm just going to use this curve to bring up some nice red colors. Look at this image. How full off life is this right now? I think I'm not going to use Fought off little right now us. I already have really warm and nice colors. So the last step in days I'm going to use granite map exactly the same as before. I'm going to use great colors which going toe gives me once again very beautiful lighting effects transplanted more to luminosity. Thank down opacity, even down to maybe 20%. And as you can see, I have really nice color FX right now I'm going to find curves. I'm sorry, Levels. I'm going to find the evils off course and bring up some of the light, something like this. So now we have very strong colors, and I'm going to put all of these old to the group control command G and once again, colon adjustments. So have a look. That's how this image loved before our color adjustments. As you can see, a lot off parts were into the shadows after days full oflife, strong colors and everything looks natural the same with this family. As you can see before our color adjustments, everything was a bid too much in the shadows. The thing you cannot is the face over here is a bit to read. So what I'm going to do, I'm going to go to photo filter and take down even more rapacity and they think is about selective colors. I'm going to take down some of the reds, as you can see what I'm taking magenta down. The colors are a bit more natural, so that's before that's after. They have agree. This image looks just awesome. So that's how you do color adjustments for the images outside. You have to look at the image which colors are on your image, which colors exist on your image and what you have to do. Then you have to improve these colors to make this image looks really happy. Toe makes this image looks really Suning.
