Project Description

Work Non-Destructively with Proper Layer Order

Deliverable:

Upload a screenshot of your final Layer Order.

    • Create a Layered File that contains at least two of each Layer Type. You can use Text Layers, Adjustment Layers, Smart Objects and Pixel Based Layers, and various Layer Styles.
    • Put your Layers into separated Group Folders. Become familiar with the various ways to create these layers and how to move them around.
  • Familiarize yourself with Blending Options, as well as Groups and Masks.

A finished project should include:

  • A screenshot of how you organized the different Layers in your file
  • A brief summary of what each Layer does

Even if you already understand the basics of layers, I will show you an entirely new world of options that you likely never even knew existed. This class will give you all sorts of useful information to help you gain control over Photoshop.

Up next is the Basic 1 – Tools and Palettes Extended to keep you going through the whole course
