Project Description

Photograph an everyday object in four surprising and unique ways

ASSIGNMENT

Your assignment is to look around your everyday environment and pick an object that you use regularly, but never pay much attention to, or even a simple object that you find intriguing. This could be anything from the eggs in your fridge to your house keys. The idea is to take a fresh look at this object and try to capture its beauty. This is a great way to practise your photography skills by experimenting with depth of field, composition, and capturing natural light and true colors.

Please tag your photos with #AndreaMStocksxSkillshare if you post on Instagram!

DELIVERABLE

A finished project will include 4 photos of a single object captured in the following ways:

  • Close up
  • In shallow depth of field
  • In context with other objects
  • With a human element

Photos can be taken with a smartphone or a DSLR camera.
