Project Description

By the end of this project, student will show mastery of using photographic reference to depict a landscape drawing. The drawing should show pattern to add complexity to stylistic drawing of landscape, atmospheric perspective to create depth within the artwork. All drawings should have a foreground, middle ground, and background. The final challenge with this project is to push variety of line weight.

Note to teachers:

As requested on a previous video, I have attached my classroom handouts for this project! Please note that I do teach at a high school level, so if you will need to adapt it to teach younger age groups. I have added .pdf file of the Unit board that has the Essential questions, Objectives, sketchbook assignments, and overall project requirements. I have also included the grading rubric that aligns with the unit board requirements.
