Project Description
For this class you'll be creating a pattern tile of your own! Here's what I'd like you to do:
- Get back to your sketchbook and pens to do some drawing. Pick a theme that speaks to you, mine is floral, but maybe yours is baseball or llamas. Draw various elements that can be added into your pattern; the more variety you draw the more options you'll have when creating the pattern
- Follow the videos to learn how to create the shapes in illustrator and construct the repeating tile.
- Find at least three color palettes that you can apply to your tile. The video on color will help you come up with combinations you didn't even think of.
- Bring your tile into photoshop to add hand drawn lines and texture.
- Post your tiles, as well as your original sketches, for us all to see the evolution of your awesome pattern!
Feel free to use my sample project as a guide for posting yours.
