Project Description

Attached below you will find the following resources:

  • Tutorial with pictures to complement the video lessons
  • Tulip template for the petals and leaves
  • Materials' list and where to buy them

For the class project, you will make a paper tulip that opens and closes, using doublette crepe paper, alcohol inks (optional), floral wire and floral tape. You can find inspiration in nature or come up with your own tulip design. The result will be a wired tulip that measures approx. 5 inches when opened and 2.5 inches when closed. Make one tulip to display in your home, or make many to give to friends and family.

Project steps

  • Find a tulip picture online that inspires you
  • Paint your paper with alcohol inks
  • Craft the tulip center
  • Wire and cut the petals
  • Assemble your tulip

Paper flower making is growing quickly, feel free to post tips and ideas in your project section or in the comments. Can't wait to see your tulips come to life!
