Project Description

Imagine Yourself as a Cut Paper Portrait!

Your assignment:

Using the techniques outlined in the class, create a cut paper self portrait.

What will we do in this class? How will we do it?

Creating a self portrait can sound overwhelming. That’s why we’ll break it down into a few steps:

  1. Pencil sketch of yourself
  2. Figure out how we’ll create collage
  3. Gathering/creating the paper materials you plan on using
  4. Starting and finishing your collage self-portrait

Remember: Part of the fun of collage is seeing your work in progress along the way. Upload your portrait when once you’ve started to add your nose, eyes, and lips!

Make sure you upload your finished portrait and the photo used for reference—that way we can compare!
