About This Class

In this class, you will learn a variety of acrylic painting techniques to create a beautiful illustration of a wedding couple. Artist and art teacher, Kristy Lankford discusses the materials and techniques she uses to create wedding paintings. You will learn about different types of acrylic paint, various supplies, simple painting techniques, and, finally, methods for combining everything into a finished painting of your favorite couple. This class is fun and approachable.

All artist levels are welcome and encouraged to join the class, however some drawing and painting experience is helpful. If you need further assistance with wedding fashion drawing, I recommend my other class called Fashion Drawing: The Wedding Dress. It is an introductory fashion drawing course with a focus on wedding dresses. It is lots of fun and a great beginner's class.

Acrylic is a versatile paint medium that can be applied to many different surfaces including illustration board, drawing paper, wood, glass, mirror, leather, and more. Everyone enjoys a good wedding and a happy couple, so why not make that the subject of your next painting? This class combines a love for painting with acrylic with a love for all things wedding. Learning some of the basic techniques for painting with acrylic while practicing your wedding fashion illustration skills is a combination worth trying.

Kristy Lankford is an artist and art teacher who has be making and teaching art for over 10 years.
