Make a good design great with Adobe Illustrator swatches and brushes! This class will teach you the basics of building your AI libraries in order to have some go-to tools as you work. Pattern designer Elizabeth Silver will walk you through different types of brushes and swatches, how to create them from a variety of sources and how to use them in a fun illustration of your favorite snack.

I learned a lot about brushes and how to manipulate them, and thanks for pointing out the free Adobe Stock images. . . Do you happen to know how to recolor these patterns? I’ve tried all my tricks and can’t seem to crack the code?
Thanks so much for this class, Elizabeth! I especially found the way you used the scatterbrush and bmp textures helpful. So far I've made all of two AI brushes! I'll try the idea of taking the time during a project to create swatches and brushes as I go to help begin a library. Looking froward to the next one.
