About This Class

Entrepreneurship is often portrayed in a certain way.

But really, an entrepreneur can be anyone who sees a valid business opportunity and invests themselves in it.

In 2019 I quit my job and started my own small business, but it was not a glamorous business in any way.

In this short class please join me in discovering the more open-minded opportunities that could be easily available to you, and why they might be worth your time.

Entrepreneur & Blether

Hello, I'm David.

I am an entrepreneur and I live in Scotland.  You can sometimes find me hiking in the Scottish hills, or cycling around the countryside... or even in the town if my car is broken.  I started up a window cleaning business in 2019, the adventures and discoveries of which became the subject of my first book:

I've recently added a class on Skillshare to introduce beginners to modern window cleaning, I hope that it helps you  :)

1. Introduction: in the back of your mind. Maybe you think about starting your own business. There are lots of popular ways to make money online, but there are other ways to be an entrepreneur. My name is Stephen on my life, my job in 2019 to start my own business. But it was not an online business. And this class I invite you to take on open minded. Look at entrepreneurship. Please join me for the first place. What everyone? 2. Lesson 1 - What Everyone Is Doing: Mawr and more people are learning about making money online. E commerce, freelancing and marketing seemed to be increasing in popularity. And to be clear, I am not criticizing these opportunities. People do make money from them, and maybe you can, too. What is undeniable, though, is that as more and more people focused on that, there are other opportunities being ignored. Telestrate imagine that you decided to start selling fruit at a local market. First, you need to decide wet fruit to sail at your new stock. You look around the mark at and notice that lots of people are trying to sail bananas. In fact, you notice that bananas seem to be more popular than ever. Everyone is trying to sell them. You do some research on which fruit to sell. Yes, bananas seemed to be very popular, and it seems to be working for the banana sailors. You know that they make money from selling them, so maybe you should sell, but honest to. But you do some more research on to your surprise, discover that there is a shortage of apple sailors in your area. Actually, you remember over hearing people say that they'd like to buy apples instead of bananas. You remember that Apple's used to be popular to sell years ago has everyone focused on selling bananas so much that they've forgotten to sail apples. Some time later, you start up, your new fruit stole and the market you gain many happy customers buying your apples, a fruit that other sailors had forgotten about. But you also decided to sell a few bananas, too. So you get the best of both worlds. In this example, the bananas stand for making money online, something that many people are trying to do. Apple's stand for things that people are not doing. What are these things exactly? Please join me for the next place. Things that people are not doing. 3. Lesson 2 - Things That People Are Not Doing: anywhere there are houses. There is money to be made. Why people are always looking to have work done on Onda around their house robotics. Might Philly take over these tasks but that the is not here yet? So who is going to do these tasks? Many householders like to use a small business to do work for them. They prefer to know the people visiting their property and would rather not use a large corporation. But potential entrepreneurs now tend to focus on working online, so the supply of small businesses and this area can now be low. This opens up an opportunity for you to make money profitably and really without too much difficulty. Simple business says. Often end demand include window cleaning, which is what I personally focus on gardening. I'm cleaning or ironing. You can research which businesses are in demand in your area by asking friends or family or doing an online search. If you are professional and reliable, then you might be surprised at how much householders are prepared to pay for a premium service. Do not underestimate how valuable you can be to the householder, but perhaps like me, you are not particularly excited by the thought of doing basic manual work for years. But thankfully, there are opportunities to expand your business beyond this. Please join me for the next lesson. You don't have to do it. 4. Lesson 3 - You Don't Have To Do It Forever: Some people who start a basic business grow at considerably. Eventually, they employ others to take over doing the actual jobs. Then they focus on marketing, management and other aspect of running the business. Other people prefer to keep things simple by limiting the size off their business and focusing only on the most profitable work. Another option, which is what I personally tried to do as to do a mixture off offline Andi online business . That way you can benefit from the profitable relatively easy to find work available and your neighborhoods, while also slowly growing a modest and come on line. What does it really mean to be an entrepreneur? Please join me for the final laser become on open by debt entrepreneur. 5. Lesson 4 - Become An Open-Minded Entrepreneur: entrepreneurship is often portrayed and a certain way. But really an entrepreneur, ca NBI. Anyone who sees a violent business opportunity, Andi, invest themselves in it. You do not need to start the glamorous business and state. Why not focus on opportunities and your neighborhood and start a profitable one? Become a riel entrepreneur by being a successful one. I'd like to thank you for watching this class if you want to. You can hear the story of how I started my own business and my book. I hope that this little glasses helped you to take a fresh look at ideas you've maybe never considered before. You do need to be open minded to consider them, but you might find that they are worthwhile for you. Your class project is to find out what type off basic business is in demand in your area. Then please share any rough plans that you have even a vague outline as a good start. So please consider taking my class on modern window cleaning if it is something that interest you. But for now, I will see you next time on Thanks again for watching way
