About This Class

           In this course, I will teach you the next set of OLL's. This is a continuation of a previously recorded course. I will be making more courses in order to cover all OLL cases so don't forget to follow me for future content. Here I will only be covering 7 OLL's out of the 57 available. Because 57 is such a daunting number, I decided to piece it up into multiple courses so those of you which are learning OLL's can digest the myriad of algorithms more easily. As long as you stick to this course and the ones to follow, you will hopefully learn full OLL faster than you think.

Hey Everyone. My name is Byron. Getting the opportunity to teach people the joy of the Rubiks Cube all over the world is amazing. It's incredibly addicting and very fun. 1. Introduction: What's going on, you guys, My name is Byron. And welcome to my course on the second set of all else really quick. I'm gonna give you guys a little background about myself if you haven't seen any of my courses already. As I said before, my name is Byron and I've been solving Rubik's cubes and other various types of puzzles for around 11 12 years or so. And I've also been a tutor for higher when it comes to teaching people how to do pretty much anything and this course I'm gonna be covering a fume or old algorithms. This is gonna be different old else than the basic seven. If you guys were interested in seeing the basic seven alleles you didn't know for at least two. Look, I'll have a course for that already up, and I'll post the thumbnail for you. This course is overall gonna be pretty cut and dry. Pretty simple. It's gonna be pretty straightforward. We are going to be showing you. I'm gonna show you the pattern. I'm gonna show you the algorithm, the finger tricks, how to execute it. I'm also going to show you what it looks like when it's done fast, learning full old. I'll definitely take some time, and that's why I'm breaking this up into multiple courses. So I had a course I posted about a week ago, and then there's this one and I got more coming. And for those of you that are already currently learning to look or you already know to look in there is trying to expand your old Els. Trust me, trust me. Trust me. Learning full olo will speed you up a good bit and so willful peel out. And if you guys would like to learn full pillow, I have a course for that as well. Now, even though this course is not very long, this does have a lot of really valuable information for people that are learning polo. And even if some of these cases are ones that you already know, I might have a better algorithm for you. So for people who don't know, oh well and for people who know it completely, this would be a good video because you might be able to see some other algorithms that you haven't seen before. So that being said, I want to stop this intro, Let's get started 2. OLL's #28 & #57: real quick before we get started. Just one that you guys know. If you're interested in picking up this puzzle, this cubing, Matt, even a timer or any of these puzzles I have sitting in the background, feel free to take a look in the course description so you can pick some of the stuff up for yourself. All right, so the first thing I want to teach you guys is known as Bomber. And at least I like to call it Bomber. Only because it kind of looks like a B two bomber. So you're gonna basically hold it like this, and the algorithms will be very simple. I havent posted for you, and it's going to be just like this. This is completely regret. Pless, start by having your pointer finger, preferably on top. Or be ready to do that, you finger trick. So start off here. We're gonna go like this. Little are you. Our prime, You prime. Now, technically, you're supposed to do this as your next move, but that's kind of an awkward finger trick, So I typically will do this instead in order to do a M. Then you have this upto a pair of that needs to be inserted here. So you just Do you Are you prime our friend? And that's it. And done fast. It looks like this. This whole l is known as the H or hospital or helicopter or whatever you wanna call it, but basically just looks like an H. This is one of the fun ones. I personally enjoy it. So it's gonna look like this. Gonna start off holding it in the home grip. We're gonna do a Are you our prime? Few prime. Now you can choose to either go down and pick up that middle layer. Or you could choose to just simply do a m prime up to you. And then we're basically going to do a u are. And then you see where this is going, you prime and then little, our prime and done fast. It looks like this 3. Checkered Board OLL #20: I hope you guys are enjoying this course so far. I do have a favor to ask you, though you may get prompted at the top of your screen or at the top of the monitor. You may get prompted to review this course. And in the event that you do, I would really appreciate it if you took the time to give me a review. Let me know what I'm doing. Good. Let me know what I'm doing bad. And that way I'll know what I can do to improve my content in the future. Thanks in advance. This case is what I like to refer to as checkerboard for obvious reasons. Now, this algorithm can be done here, here, here or even here. Let me do it from any side as long as your final color is on top. Now the first movement is supposed to be ate them. But I feel like that's kind of an awkward movement. So instead, I would rather do this where you bring the two layers down and then bring the right side back up. And that's basically doing the same thing Is that next we're gonna do a you and we're gonna do? Ah, one of our triggers. Gonna be a far you are prime. You prime. You see that? After 12 years there. Now, the next movement is supposed to be in em too. So you can either do that m two like that or you can actually bring this layer down, pick up that middle layer and come back up. I'll do that again. So we're in this position. We're gonna go down, Grab Come back Now. We're gonna do a you before view prime. We're gonna do a little harbor. And there you go. That handles that case and done quickly. It looks like this. 4. Box OLL's #5 & #6: So this time we're gonna be covering two cases where you get a box shape just like this, there's gonna be two of them. They're gonna look very similar. They're basically mirrors of each other, but there are slightly different algorithms for both home. This one's gonna be where you have the box right here, and you have the dot right there. You're gonna start off by holding it in this position with the dot on the right in the box back here, and you're gonna perform this algorithm, we're gonna start by doing a lower case move or what they call in R w or basically gonna move two layers at the same time. We're gonna do a lower case. Are you going to do a U to with the double flick to do our prime? You prime, Are you prime? And then we need that lower case, our prime and that's it. And done fast. It looks like this. Now, this is basically the mirror of the one that I just taught you. You could hold it like this and then perform the same Algren with the left hand instead of with the right. Or you could do this other algorithm that I'm about to teach you. So when you run into this case, you're gonna hold it just like this. We're gonna have the yellow box there dot back there. Notice there is not a dot here because this is the other case, and we're gonna do this. They're gonna start by doing another lower case movement. You're gonna do a lower case. Our prime. We're gonna do a U two with a double flick, and they're gonna do a are you our prime? And we're going to a Pete Pinky drag where I'm not picky. Drag a ring finger drag for the U, or you could push with that finger, and then we're gonna bring that up. So it's got a couple of interesting finger tricks in there, but it is a very fast algorithm and done quickly, it looks like this 5. T-OLL's #33 & #45: this solos, known as uneven tea, is what I call it because there is another version where the's corners are even in this one they're not, so I just call it on even t Whenever you see this pattern, don't be scared. Any time you see it, t like this. There's only two of them about to show you this one and I'm about to show you the other one . They're both very easy. Especially this one. All right, First things first, we're gonna post the algorithm. We're gonna start by doing a a group like this, and we're just gonna do the normal algorithm. You would if you could. Beginners method. And you had a line. You're trying to get the cross so you would just hold like this and do f r you. And then we're gonna reverse that. Our prime, you prime after I'm That's how you handle that case and done fast. It looks like this. Now, the last holdout that I have to teach you here is known as even T. At least that's what I call it. And as I showed you before you have your teeth and then this time there, even on both sides and they're not staggered like the other one. Now, in order for you to do this, Oliver them it's actually really easy. You're gonna start by doing the trigger. Which is gonna be Are you are prime, you prime. And then basically, we're gonna do sledgehammer for this up 12 here. So if you don't know what sledgehammer is, sledgehammer is our prime f our Brian and done quickly. It looks like this. All right, you guys, that's it. That is it for the second set of oils I have to give you. Now, go ahead and practice thes poll. L's as many times as you can in order to make sure that you have them down. So just make sure you practice as much as you can. So that way to muscle memory, a lot of these albums that I've been showing you guys I actually don't even know. Personally, this is all just muscle memory, and I actually on some of them, especially the last course I did. I had to write down a lot of them because I do these all of them so often that I developed a muscle memory and I completely forgot what the actual algorithm is. So I had to write him down and follow this. Follow my algorithms for some of these. So just keep that in mind. You want it to be muscle memory. You don't wanna have to think about what you're doing. But either way, between the first course I put out of old Els and this course and keep in mind, we're gonna have more coming. So go ahead and follow me. So that way you guys can see the future videos. You guys are gonna have a pretty good bat foundation to build on something that practice you are going to so far. Have what I've got. Seven and five got 12 algorithms that you should already have down from the previous video . And then there's this one. Just go ahead and practice them. I know there's a lot. Just take the ones that you can and make sure you get them down and we want to the next one . But in any case, it's been a pleasure making this course for you guys. I hope you're enjoying it.
