About This Class

Wouldn't it be fun to customize the color of an accessory or an item in your home decor?

I’m Debby Greenlaw, the owner of Flora & Fiber an artisan fiber arts studio where I provide inspiration, education, and products that spark others, like you, to pursue their own creative passions.

Through Flora and Fiber I offer a simple and fun approach to preserving and creating handcrafted traditions such as spinning, weaving and dyeing.  As a Master Gardener, I have combined two of my passions by growing and harvesting plants that can then be used to dye my fibers and fabrics.

I want to share my knowledge of natural dyeing with you!

Once you’ve enrolled in the class you’ll have access to a pdf download which lists the supplies you’ll need, the basic steps in the process and a few of my favorite resources.

This dyeing process is really easy; as simple as making tea!  And by the end of the class, you’ll know the basics of natural dyeing and have a unique hand-dyed creation to share with all of us!

Hit enroll and let’s have some fun!  I can’t wait to see what you create.

I loved this class! Debby Greenlaw is very knowledgeable, she was clear and concise, and her step-by-step instructions make it so easy to follow along. Her warm and friendly manner is very enjoyable! With some classes, the student has to have so much equipment that the ultimate goal is not attainable. However, Debby's method uses minimal equipment that most people already have on hand in their kitchen. I am looking forward to trying Debby's dye method and I look forward to more of her classes! I highly recommend this class to anyone who is interested in learning how to dye fabrics with natural and non-toxic dye.

Weaver, Spinner, Dyera @ Flora & Fiber

Hi, I'm Debby,  owner of Flora & Fiber, an artisan fiber arts studio that offers a simple, fun approach to preserving and creating handcrafted traditions. My desire is to provide inspiration, education, and products that spark others to pursue their own creative passions.

After almost 40 years in healthcare, I changed careers to become a full-time farmer. My husband Pete and I have lovingly restored our 14 1/2 acres farm in Prosperity, SC. Green Pastures Farm is home to dairy goats, chickens, a mini donkey, Labrador retriever, and Smokey the cat, as well fruit, vegetable, and flower gardens. Pete and I are interested in learning and sharing skills that were important to our ancestors such as making cheese, wine, and beer; spinning, dyeing, and weaving. I've been a  Master Gardener since 2002, and have combined two of my passions by raising and harvesting plants to naturally dye my fibers and fabrics.
