Project Description

In this class, I'll introduce you to dyeing with natural materials.  I'll be demonstrating the process using tumeric, a common item that’s found in the spice section of your local grocery store, in fact many of you likely have tumeric already in your kitchen.  Tumeric dyes a bright yellow.

I will walk you through the steps of dyeing an object of your choice. You might want to dye a silk scarf like I do, but you could also try a cloth napkin, a cotton shopping bag, ribbon, yarn, or fabric. These are just a few of the ideas.
