1. NLP Course Introduction: in this video. We're going to go over the different course sections and I'm gonna walk you through the different lessons that we're going to be covering within those sections. So let's go right ahead here and jump into it. So number one, we have the introduction to NLP. This is this particular lecture here and another one as well where you're going to learn. Ah had a benefit most from this course. And then we're going to cover the foundations of NLP where you're going to learn what exactly? NLP is the foundational pillars of NLP. We're going to cover the presuppositions of NLP and also the conscious and unconscious mind . And at the end of each section, there's going to be an action plan for you to implement to make sure that at the end of each section, you're actually going through the steps and you're implementing and taking action on those steps. So then we have section three, which is understanding outcomes, where we're going to cover how to think and outcomes, how to properly set and structure your outcomes so that you can accomplish them every single time. We're going to go over the structure of beliefs how our beliefs air formed through our environment and several other factors as well. And then we have an action plan for you to follow at the end of that section as well. So then we have section for this is the foundations of learning. This is where they're giving you a nun understanding of the different stages of learning the learning zone, the neurological levels which are really important for you to understand and then also the perceptual positions, how to be able to take 1st 2nd and even third positions so you can get a better understanding is far solving problems and solving conflicts. And then the meta mere exercise very powerful technique there. And then we have the learning foundations action plan for you to execute upon. And then we have number five the foundations of relationships. So this is where you're going to learn how to build trust from report, and you're going to learn exactly how to be able to pay somebody and then lead them to be able to accomplish anything and everything that you want them to do. And this is very much so critically important. If you're wanting to influence and persuade. You have to be able to build trust from report. You have to be able to pace and lead use different language patterns so that they can take action on what you want them to accomplish. And then section number six, this is understanding the senses. We're going to go over the V A k o g. Visual auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory and gustatory senses, and then the representational systems. You're going to learn how to develop visualization. We're going to really learn how to develop that kinesthetic awareness. And then you're going to learn about the power of future pacing very, very powerful here and then the mental rehearsal exercise. This is a very powerful technique and exercise here that you're going to be able to execute upon. And then at the end of this section here, we have an action plan for you to follow as well, and the number seven understanding emotional states. This is where you're going. Toe have a better understanding of the different states about your capabilities, the power of anchors. How to immediately change states. If you're feeling stressed, depressed if you're feeling some kind of negative feeling, how to immediately change how you're feeling and then states and met estates. And at the end of this section, we have an action plan for you to follow as well. Then we have section eight getting inside the mind. This is where you're going to understand sub modalities and how powerful these truly are for you to be able to change the meaning and change. How something is affecting you in a positive way or in a negative way. And then we're going to go over a very powerful technique. The swish technique which has helped me and overcoming Ah, lot of my different efficiencies, a lot of my different bad habits so very, very powerful. And then we're going to go over understanding timelines and the importance of those. And then we have an action plan for you to cover as well. And then we have Section nine understanding strategies. We're going to go over the NLP strategies how to effectively use strategies to be able to accomplish all your different goals, your outcomes and then a very powerful technique that is the new behavior generator strategy. I'm very excited for you to go through that and just learn and see how truly powerful that is there. And then we have an action plan for you to follow as well. And then we have section 10 the power of language. This is where you're going to learn why we delete why we generalize and distort experiences , information through our senses, and then how we could use questions to uncover information that is lost, that has deleted that has generalized and distorted. And then section 11 this is one of the most powerful sections here. In this entire course, the meta in the Milton model section. We're going to go over the entire meta model structure, the entire Met, a model system, and then we're going to go over how to effectively use a meta model. We're going to cover how to understand your unconscious mind. Then we're going to go over the entire Milton model and how to effectively use a militant model as well. Then we have action plans for the meta model and the Milton model in this particular section as well. And then we have section 12 the power of metaphors and understanding. So this is where you're going to get an understanding of the filter of experience. The power of chunking, different negotiation strategies, the different parts integrations, understanding congrats and in congruence. And then we have an action plan for you to follow here as well. In the number 13 1 of my most favorite sections here, the power of framing. We're going to cover the five problem solving frames and then the power of a reframing. This is so important here because this is where you're going to be able to attached different meanings to different experiences that may have initially been looked at. It's negative and where you can change the meaning into a more positive outlook and positive experience. And then we have an action plan for you to follow here as well. And then finally, section number 14. This is where we're putting it all together. We're going to go over the NLP and system, thinking the principal elements of NLP. How do you apply the different NLP patterns? And then we're going to go through several examples of how you can use the NLP presuppositions in your everyday life so that you can live ah more fulfilling life and use these guiding principles these presuppositions as your guiding philosophy for your life and then we have a putting it all together. Action plan for you to follow a swell. So I'm excited for you to get started and look forward to seeing you on the other side. 2. How To Benefit Most From This Course: in this video, we're going to go over how you can benefit most from this course. Now there's 14 different sections here in this particular course, and the way that you're going to be able to get the most out of this course is by going through each section in a linear fashion and then making sure that after every single section that you're going through the action plan because the action plans are going to enhance your learning, they're going to give you examples of things that do. They're going to give you examples. You're going to give you some assignments for you to be able to act upon so that you can get this information and grained more deeper into your unconscious mind. Right, because you want to be able to not only go through this course and understand these different sections and all this information, but have it be deeply embedded into your unconscious, and the best way that you're going to be able to do that is by following along through each particular section and going through the action plan steps very, very important there. There's a lot of questions. There's a lot of assignments in different things that you can do to go through those, get a better understanding of each section and then be able to fully utilize all these different techniques. These strategies, these methods here because if you truly act upon these and you go through the action plans and you practice thes in your daily life, you're truly going to live. Ah, more fulfilling extraordinary life and achieve extraordinary results in your life moving forward. So I'm very excited for you to be able to get started here. And remember, after each and every section, make sure you're going through the action plan steps and you're taking action. You're implementing. You're executing because that's how you're going to learn the best. So I'm very excited for you to get started and we'll see you on the next one. 3. What Exactly is Neuro-Linguistic Programming?: So what exactly is NLP? NLP is a very unique type of concept. It's a tool. It's a strategy that can be used to understand human subjective experience. So understanding how we as humans use different strategies and essentially structure our communication, how we kind of perceived the world. And we're going to get into exactly what NLP is more of a defined explanation here and the next couple slides. But NLP is just one of those things that can get very, very confusing if you don't fully understand it and have the conceptual framework understanding of it. Because there's so many different moving pieces, and through this course, I want you to be ableto have a really fundamental understanding of how NLP works and how you're going to be able to use it in your daily life, too. Help you achieve your goals, achieve your outcomes that you're wanting to accomplish on also help others be able to get over their fears and overcome any kind of issues that they have with performance enhancing , maybe phobias, whatever that may be. So let's go right ahead here and jump into what exactly an O. P. Is So NLP studies how we structure our subjective experience, the actual strategies, the ways that we go about our experience of the world. So how we think about our values, our beliefs, how we create our emotional states. These are all strategies, right? We have a strategy for whenever we experience fear, we have a strategy for whenever we experience enjoyment, happiness, right. So understanding that NLP is really about showing us in allowing us to see how we are able to construct our internal world from our experiences and be able to give it meaning. And so the other thing that I want you to keep in mind is that no particular event in your life has meaning in and of itself, right? You are able to give it meaning based off of your past experiences based on what particular experience you had with that, you know, event or situation, right. Different people may see the exact same thing or the same exact event work experience and have a different outlook, right? So NLP studies subjective experience from the inside. And a good example of this is if you are in a car accident, you know, for whatever reason, you get into a fender bender. You know, maybe hit somebody in the back and you know they're in a rear bumper is, you know, messed up Right now, you can choose how you react to that situation, regardless of your position. Regardless, if you're the one you know, accidentally hitting somebody, you know, we're ending somebody or the person that's getting were ended. You can choose to look at it from the perspective of you know, Oh, my gosh, Kambli, this person hit me. You know, I could have died all this stuff, right? And just looking at it from a negative perspective, right? Understanding the human emotion will take over. And that may come across a little bit where you're like Oh, man, that sucks. That's unfortunate that this happened to me, right? But understanding that there's just really ah lot of different ways to interpret that and most people you're going to have either in one or two different perspectives, but mostly on one of these, where they are totally upset. They are just mad at the other person. They can't believe that they did that and they're saying, Hey, what were you thinking? Were you even paying attention All this negativity, right, Because you're in this negative state or you can be the person that is looking at it from the positive point of view where you're telling yourself, man, you know, this is an unfortunate situation, but I'm grateful that nothing horrible happened. I'm okay. I'm still alive. I didn't get, you know, badly injured and really being able to take an event, take a situation and be able to turn that into a positive. So every single event that happens every experience that we go through that we experience, right? We have the ability to precisely interpret that in our own weight, based off of her own experiences or past experiences. How we, you know, are engaging in that particular activity or event so very, very important there, toe. Understand that whatever happens, no matter what you are giving it your own unique meaning to that event based on your previous experiences and how you are interpreting that particular situation and unfortunately for the majority of people, they are interpreting it in a negative manner, right? Because most people are kind of going through life in a zombie state of mind where they're not fully present. They're not really happy about their life that I really content with where there are. There may be working at a job that they don't thoroughly enjoy. So their life isn't in this, you know, happy state of mind. So Ah, the majority of people, whenever they experience something that isn't, you know, the best outcome or the best kind of experience, they always tend to have a negative outlook on it and not look at it from a positive perspective of what can I learn from this? You know, I understand. This is it, you know, not the greatest situation or experience. But there's something here that I can learn. There's something that I could be grateful for because I know that you know I am still here . I'm still alive. And it's a learning experience, right? So as you can see here, neural linguistic programming comes from three areas that it brings together. The n stands for neurology. The mind in how we think. Then you have linguistics, how we use language and how it affects us. And then programming Howie sequence our actions to achieve our goals. And here are some additional definitions of NLP. NLP is a structure of subjective experience. NLP is the influence of language on our mind in our subsequent behaviour No Pisa study of human communication. So when it comes down to it, NLP really looks at how you use your words, how you are able to utilize different strategies to take different actions. Right? I mentioned earlier that you have a specific strategy that you use whenever you experience fear. It may be a past experience that you had, right. You have a specific strategy for experiencing happiness. And NLP also helps people understand themselves better. Right? Because a lot of times we like to talk in generalities. We talk in not very specific language. So a good example of this would be if somebody is feeling down and out and they say to themselves, or they tell others, Hey, you know, nobody likes me. Everybody hates me or everybody just doesn't want to be my friend or whatever. That may be something where they're just kind of generalizing for everybody or I'm never going to be able to do X or why that type of language is generalized. And what they're doing is actually putting themselves in a box and not allowing themselves to look for additional resource is that are already within themselves. Right? Because if you, as a NLP practitioner are able to ask more specific questions to that individual, such as, well, you know who specifically is, you know, not liking you or who specifically you know, doesn't like you, right, helping you get more specific with your language. So you can really understand that it's not a generalisation, but it's more of just certain people or acting a certain way or certain things are happening that are not, you know, the greatest for me, but it allows you to get more clear with your understanding in your language. So you're not generalizing because then when you're generalizing and you're saying you know everybody doesn't like me or everybody just doesn't like the way I do X or I'm not good enough at X Whenever somebody is using those types of statements there really locking themselves into a box and they're not allowing themselves to be resourceful, right? Because when you really think about it, it's not that everybody. It's not that, you know all the time it's these specific situations. It's the specific particular people, right, and we're going to get into that later on in the metal model, where we get kind of really specific and clear and help people understand and yourself as well. You know, really what the specifics are and what you're trying to say and why you feel a certain way and that ultimately it's not everybody it's not, You know all the time. It's specific situations and specific people, so that's gonna be here for this lesson and we'll see you on the next one. 4. The Foundational Pillars of NLP: in this video, we're going to cover the six foundational pillars of NLP. Now, these are essentially the six foundational pillars that kind of hold up the structure of NLP as a whole. So just think about looking at a structure from a very macro perspective, right at the very top of the hierarchy. You have these six foundational pillars, so let's go right ahead and jump into these here. So number one, your emotional state and the level of skill. So you are the most important part of any NLP intervention. You make an O. P. Rial by what you do, just as a tool can be used to create, you know, a beautiful piece of art or something. You know, that's trash, right? N o P. Can be used well where it can be used, you know, wrongfully And one of the things that you want to understand is that your success depends on how resourceful and skillful you truly are. So the more congratulate you are, the more success you're going tohave now. Congruence is very, very important here. This is where your goals, your beliefs and your values align with your actions and words. So you're essentially walking your talk. You're not just talking and you're not having any kind of action to back that up. Right? As you can see over here, I have this quote here from Gandhi where he says, happiness is when you think and what you say and what you do is in harmony. So being congratulated about you know what you're doing, not just saying things that you're going to do, and I'm not doing them right. So make sure and everything that you're doing that you're following through and that you're using these strategies that you're going to learn in this course, right, these techniques to the full potential and to your full advantage. So number two, the presuppositions of NLP. Now, these are essentially the guiding principles. These are ideas and believes that air pre supposed Now, I want you to not think of this as being kind of the end all universal truth, right with these presuppositions that we're going to go through here in the next couple. Ah, lectures. But I want you to keep an open mind, and I want you to act as if these are true in your life. And also, when you're practicing NLP whether be on yourself or on a client's, because these are very resourceful type of philosophies and principles and ideas, right believes that will help you be able to accomplish all the goals that you're looking to accomplish. So number three then we have report. This is a quality of a relationship. So airport is crucial because an in kind of interaction that you are having with another person you want to be able to develop, trust, credibility. You want to be able to develop some sort of relationship, and you gain report by understanding and respecting how another person sees the world right , because we all have different models of the world. We all see the world in reality, from our own perspective, from our own lens, right? So when you can understand somebody and not judge them on their views on their outlooks and just respect their point of view in the perspective and opinions, you can really get to a point where you can build mutual trust. You can build, report and then be able to leverage that to essentially get what you want or help the other person get what they want as well and number four outcome. Knowing what you want. This is one of the most important parts here that we're going to cover. And it's a whole entire section, a whole entire module that we're going to cover on outcomes, because these are truly critical for you to be able to accomplish any sort of goal or really accomplish anything. Because if you don't have a desired outcome, if you don't have an end kind of outlook or goal, then it's going to be very difficult for you to take action to get motivated to know kind of where you're going. Because most people live life's kind of just drifting away right there on a boat, and they're just letting kind of the wind. Take them wherever, right And so when you can set a designated outcome that you want and you reverse engineer that outcome and you kind of lay out the steps needed to get there, there's really nothing that you can't accomplish. So being very, very clear on what your outcome is right and always understanding in any type of situation , right, you're always thinking in terms of outcome, what do I want to happen in this situation? and when it comes to outcome thinking it has three different elements. So number one knowing your present state. So where are you currently? You are at this particular stage in your life. You are maybe trying to get better at a certain skill, and you're looking to develop your communication skills or whatever that may be right. Maybe you're in this course to understand yourself better and then maybe help others understand themselves as well. So, understanding your president states your present situation where you currently are ads and then knowing your desired outcome, where do you want to be? You want to be able to have, you know, specific language patterns that you can use for yourself and for others. You want to have you know, this goal or this particular outcome right? And so understanding where you currently at and then looking at where you want to be, right and then planning your strategy, how you're going to get there. The best way to do this, as I mentioned, is to reverse engineer that strategy, the necessary steps that you need to get there right, So just imagine a straight line, okay, and then you have on the left hand side. You have the current state, your current situation and on the right hand side, final destination is your and goal, right? Your actual outcome in the middle is where you have the resource is that you're going to learn on and get through this course you're going to utilize and be able to utilize various resource is that you really haven't even known were available to you. But a lot of people think that they have limited resource is or they don't know any other way to go about accomplishing their goals because they haven't looked at things from different perspectives. And so what you're really doing in this particular course is your learning about NLP. You're understanding kind of how language structures consciousness and then you are raising your awareness so that you can become a better communicator. You know, live a better, more fulfilling life and then also help others do the same as well. So number five feedback. So this is very, very important here when you think about your present situation and then taking necessary steps to get to your outcome, right, because maybe, you know, step three, step four through your journey. You you don't reach some kind of roadblock and you get feedback and you don't get you know the result that you wanted to write. But it's important to understand that there is no failure. There is just feedback. That is, information that tells you that shows you whether or not you're on the right path or what you can do to improve or how you can maneuver and understand. Okay, you know what? I'm not doing the right things. Let's try something else to see if we can get a better result, right? So, understanding and knowing what's working for you, what's not working for you so you could modify and adjust number six flexibility. So if what you're doing is not working, then do something else very, very important here. This goes back to feedback if when you're getting that feedback from the actions that you're taking, if you're not flexible enough to actually take various actions and be open to new no solutions, new strategies, different ways to reach your desired outcome, then you're going to hit a lot of roadblocks, and you're not going to be very good at overcoming them because you're not flexible on how you reach your goal, right? Because it's never necessarily a straight line to achieving your outcome, right? You may take a left turn. You may take a right turn humane, you know, go in a different direction that you initially thought. But it's still leading you to your ultimate and goal. So being flexible and understanding that not everything is going to work out exactly how you plan and understanding that you need to be open and flexible to different opportunities and different routes right that come up along your journey. So these are the six pillars of NLP that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one. 5. The Presuppositions of NLP That Will Change Your Life: in this video, we're going to talk about the presuppositions of NLP. They are essentially the guiding philosophy and beliefs of NLP. Now, these are not to be understood as universally true. Okay, but this is something that you need to be able to accept as true for yourself in order to be able to utilize NLP to its full potential and be able to maximize all of the benefits and strategies tips, techniques within D N O P realm. Okay, The first present position is that people respond to their experience and not reality itself. In the first lecture, we talked about what NLP is about. What exactly is NLP right? And then we discuss that reality is not necessarily what we think it is. It is unique and different and custom to each individual person. Okay. And so what we use to create our reality is our senses. Right? So our senses, our beliefs and our past experiences give us the map of the world from which we operate. But a map can never be completely accurate. Otherwise, it would be the same as it grounded covers. And so what this actually means? Here's faras. The map is not the territory is essentially that We have our own kind of internal constructs. We construct our own reality and our own kind of map of what reality is to us in our minds now the territory as far as the physical realm, you know, as far as you know, life itself and actually going out and doing things in the physical world. That's not going to be the same as what we internalize and what we think is actually the actual map or, you know, our internal representation, because think about it this way. We in her mind go through and create different concepts. Different ideas are different beliefs, and those are not necessarily true in the real world. So we may have a map or a mental construct of what we feel that reality is or what we believe reality is, and it's really just for us. But we think that it's, you know, maybe universal or that everybody else thinks this way. For example, let's just say that you believe that you should always donate the charity and, you know, you look down upon those that do not give the charity or donate to charity, regardless of how much money they make. So that's your belief. That is your internal kind of construct that you've created, and you look down upon others that don't have that kind of belief. And don't take those actions. So that is something that you quit in your mind. But it's not necessarily, you know, the actual reality of everybody else. It's just your own. And when you go out into the real world, you know there may be people that have different perspectives, different beliefs on that, and so you are creating your own reality. You are creating your own construct of what you feel believed and see reality to be out of your own lens through your own lens. So your own perspective, right? But it's not necessarily what is true in the real world. Okay, so that's very, very important. This is one of the most foundational presuppositions here, Okay, because you understanding that you have your own kind of mental construct of reality and how you perceive it to be doesn't necessarily mean that that's exactly how it's going to be in the real world. And so number two having a choice is better than not having a choice. So the more choices that you have, the free or you are to have more influence on different people on yourself. And a lot of people don't really. I think that they have a choice. So when somebody is depressed or when somebody is stressed out, they don't see kind of any alternative. They don't have any different strategies or techniques that they can use to help them get out of that state because it's a certain state, right? When you're depressed, you're not always depressed. You just happen to be depressed in that specific moment or in that particular context, right? So you always have a choice. And with understanding and knowing that, then you are going to be, you know, as resourceful as you can be because you know that you have a choice to make whether you want to feel a certain way or not feel a certain way. Number three people make the best choice that they can at that time, so a person is always making the best choice that they feel given their map of the world. So remember, we have our own mental construct of what we view the world reality to be. That isn't necessarily true in the real world, right? We may run all these different scenarios, all these different conceptual frameworks in our mind about a certain you know, situation. Let's just say that you created a mental construct, a conceptual framework of how you're going to go out and talk to the opposite sex. If your man, if you're going out to talk two females right and you're able to play in your mind of video of what you think the actual scenario is going to look like, right, you're going to say this. She's going to respond this way. You guys, we're going to have a great night and all this stuff right now. When it comes to the real world, it's rarely what we expected to be right, because we don't know how the other person is going to actually respond, even though we created the mental construct of in our mind already right. But it's not necessarily the territory. So when you're making choices, the choice may be self defeating. Maybe bizarre may be evil, but it's the best choice that you feel is the best for that particular scenario or that particular situation right Now, if you give somebody a better map of the world with more choices, they will make better choices as well. So let me give you an example of this. So let's say you have somebody who is constantly stressed out. They go into these kind of states of depression and they just don't see a way out. And they have this particular strategy that they use. Or there's some kind of anchor, something that happens to them that triggers that particular feeling of depression. Right when they're in that state of depression, they don't know that they have. Resource is available to them that can help them overcome that depression, Right? Ah, good example of this is just changing your physiology, right? Getting up, standing up, you know, having different power poses to help you feel better to get you into a better mood, to be able to recall times in the past where you weren't depressed where you were, you know, in a great mood you we're experiencing happiness. And so when you can help people and yourself really understand those processes, those strategies, those techniques, you can have somebody be able to make better choices and be ableto have different outcomes that are going to be better overall for that individual or for yourself. And so number four people worked perfectly, so no one is wrong or no one is broken. Okay, we're all executing our strategies perfectly, but the strategies may be poorly designed and ineffective. So when you're able to really find out how you and others operate, you're able to look at the strategy that they're using and be able to use that strategy and changing into a more useful and desirable strategy. Right or method, Because here's the thing. There's a lot of people out there that think they're broken, that think there's something wrong with them. Maybe they went through some sort of childhood trauma or abuse or whatever. That may be right. They are not broken. They may think they are, but they're just operating life right there. Life in the best way that they know how to write its utilizing strategies that are unconscious and they're making decisions. They're doing these different things and they don't really know of any other, better way to go about it. So when you can really understand how people operate, how they make their decisions. You can help them become better decision makers and be able to look at their life as something different, something other than them being broken or having a sense of feeling that there's something wrong with them. So Number five all action has a purpose. Okay, this is very important here as well, because you need to understand that when were doing different things in our life, either consciously or unconsciously, whether it's hurting us in a different way. Whether you know we are, let's say smoking and it's, you know, obviously affecting is in a negative manner because, you know, we're inhaling all these different toxins. The things that keep in mind is that people are doing this because they want to have an experience. They wanna have some sort of state or feeling So, for example, when people are smoking, they typically want to reduce their stress. They typically want to relax or they want to have peace of mind or they want to, you know, clear their mind. Whatever that may be, right. There's always some sort of positive intention to each action that we take, even though it may look on the surface as something that is negative, right? The great example here that I just gave you with smoking. Most people would look at it as man. This person is making just horrible decisions. They're, you know, smoking. You know, it causes lung cancer, all these negative things. But when you can peel back the layers of the onion and look at what people are actually looking to accomplish and the real purpose behind that we can look at it as you know what? They're trying to feel a certain way so very, very important there as well. And number six, every behavior has a positive intention. This kind of goes back to number five, right? Where every behavior, every action has a purpose in number six year. Every behavior has a positive intention. Kind of going back to the cigarette example right where somebody is smoking cigarettes. And they are knowing that you know what? Yeah, it causes lung cancer. Yet it's not probably the best thing for me, but I get a feel relaxed. It calms me down. I get peace of mind, right? And so N. O. P. Separates the intention behind the action from the action itself. Ah, person is not their behavior. If somebody is acting in a negative way, if they're having, you know not the best behavior, they are not their behavior. They are essentially trying to accomplish something. They have some sort of positive intention behind it, and oftentimes it's unconscious, right? They don't really know why they're doing it. It's always going to be a positive intention. That is the reason why they're doing that particular behavior Write a really good example also is when somebody is, let's say, a bully and they are bulling other people, other kids or whatever in school. The reason for most bullies as to why they are acting in such behavior is because they typically are trying to deal with something internally themselves so that they can feel better about themselves. And it's typically feeling of not feeling good enough about themselves or may be having some problems at home with not feeling like they are enough or, you know, whatever that may be, something that is causing them to not feel good about themselves. So they go out and they bring others down. They put others down so that they can feel better about themselves, and so that is there positive intention yet? They don't even really consciously know that. That's why they're doing it. So number seven the unconscious mind balances the conscious mind. Now, this is something that you really need to understand. Here, the unconscious mind, Really. The unconscious is everything that is not consciously aware for us to really know about. Okay, Everything that is not conscious for us at this present moment where you know we are able to do different things and be consciously aware of it, right? The unconscious mind is all running on autopilot. It's all the resource is all the different things that are going on that are telling us, you know, when to breathe, how to breathe that are allowing us to regrow ourselves from, you know, all these different, you know, damages that we've done. And it's the one that is in charge of all of our different systems, right? And it allows us to really live as a human because just imagine if you had a consciously monitor went to take a breath or how to heal your body or how to do all these different things that are done unconsciously, that would completely overload your system, right? So the unconscious mind is really the driver in everything that you're doing right. It's communicating to you in a lot of different ways because if you had to actually, you know, use your unconscious mind. And if you have to bring that to your awareness where if you were consciously aware of every single little detail that's going on, you would be overloaded and you wouldn't be able to function properly. So number eight the meaning of communication is not simply what you intend, but also the response that you get now. This is very, very crucial here when it comes to language, because the response that you get may be different from the one that you wanted and often times, you know, we have communication with other people, and we sometimes get pushback rightly. Sometimes you get people to respond in certain ways that you know we don't really want them to. And it's all about understanding how that person is going to interpret your communication right. If you're not getting the result, they're response that you want that you need to change how you're communicating. That's why NLP is a lot about language structuring and how to communicate properly. How to use certain phrases. How do you certain tone ality to get your point across in a very certain way? Because, as you know, with communication. Or maybe you don't with language and communication, Really, the majority of your communication is done nonverbally. It's an unconscious right, because a lot of it has to do with your tonality, right? Your voice inflections and very, very little of it actually has to do with your words, because you can say one sentence or phrase or whatever that may be. And you can say that with various tonalities, right with various voice inflections and illicit different responses. Right based on those tonalities, right? So very, very important there toe. Understand that language communication is not just kind of what you think it is. It's about the other person and how they're interpreting it and how you can understand how to use the right language to get the response that you're looking for. Number nine. We already have all the resource that we need or we can create them so there is no UN resources. Will people on Lee UN resources will states of mind. This is very very critical here for people that think that they are stuck in a state of mind of depression of, you know, stress. So many people will sit there and kind of play a victim mode and think to themselves to tell themselves that I'm no good. I'm this. I could never be this. I can never do that right. And when they really stop and they really think about what they're saying and they really just look at things from two different perspectives, right? And they understand the okay, this is what I'm doing right now. This is what I'm feeling, and I don't feel very good. So what can I do to help me feel better? What are the different strategies? Different techniques that Aiken implement to help me feel better, right? And so everything that we have to create different resource is all the different things that we need to feel better about ourselves to accomplished all the goals that we have, right? It's already within us, and we are unlimited potential beings, right? We can accomplish so many great things, so many things that you would not even believe right, that are possible because we tend to set limitations on ourselves, and we don't think that were good enough for that. We can accomplish X, y and Z or that we have the resource is available to us. But in reality we all have. All the resource is that we need or we can create them right and you can create them using NLP techniques and strategies Number 10 Mind and Body Former System You may think that the mind in the body or two separate things well, they're actually one whole thing. They're all part of each other. It's mind and body form one particular system, and I'll give you example of this right here. So let's just say that you are feeling depressed or you feel stressed out immediately as you change into a more powerful type of pose or physiology where you are raising your hands above your head, like in a victory position, or you're putting your hands on your hip or you're taking a power pose. You will immediately start to feel better, right? Think about that for a moment. Your physiology is able to help you feel better about yourself, and so when we think differently, our bodies change. And when we act differently, we change our thoughts and our feelings. So you could just imagine yourself, you know, thinking thoughts of negativity, thinking that you're unworthy, that you're not very good. And you would typically be like, you know, hunched over, you know, very tucked in your arms, kind of tucked in and in a very unpowered ful pose right that will immediately make you feel a certain way and the same thing. Like I just mentioned when you can take a victorious posed when you could do something that allows you to feel a certain way, you understand the fact that the mind and the body form one system, they're all influencing each other. And you can influence you know, the body by just thinking, thinking a certain way, going back to a memory right, and remembering how that felt. Remembering the feelings, what you were seeing, what you were hearing right, and being able to incorporate that into your body because and so what? You're able to think about those kind of things. Your body automatically changes, so they both influence each other, and they're both essentially forming one particular system. Number 11. We process all information through our senses. So this is also very important. And this is really the most important thing that I would really keep an eye on for the remainder of this course. Here we process everything is faras consciousness through our visual auditory, kinesthetic. All factory and gustatory senses really, really important here. This is how we take in data, how we take in information, how we process the world. That's exactly how we essentially create our own reality. Things happen to us. We experience a certain situation, whatever that maybe we put that information in and we are able to experience it using our senses. Right? We see something, we hear something, we feel something that gets stored in our memory bank. And then now next time that we want to take action or do a similar thing we can recall. You know what we saw? What we heard, what we felt when that particular situation comes up again, right? And so at that time you'll be able to recall, How did this make me feel that it makes me feel good? Well, let's continue to do it right. Let's say you had a bad experience in life where let's say you were scared of elevators. And you, You know, when you were younger went into an elevator and it got stuck for hours and you were just, you know, there and you got scared and all this stuff. And so then you couldn't get around being with elevators, right? Being on elevators because of that trauma that you experience. Well, what's happening is when you initially had that experience, right, you experienced it and you process it through your visual auditory kinesthetic, mostly right. And then next time, when you go back and you get in your elevator, that information gets back up to your conscious mind and it gets back to your memory pink. And then you're able to think about the last time that I was on an elevator. I had this experience. I heard this thing, I saw this. And so I need to stay away from that because it was a negative experience, right? But the thing is that you can change that experience in the meaning of that experience. And that's what NLP really prides itself on. Is helping others and helping yourself right be able to give different experiences, different meanings by changing the different lenses that they're seeing that particular experience so very, very powerful. Number 12 modeling, successful performance leads to excellence. Now this is something for me that I've really taken and ran with because the way I look at kind of being able to accomplish different things or accomplishing goals is just doing anything that is kind of out of my area of expertise or kind of challenging myself, right? I know that if one person can do something, if it's been proven in the world, I know that it's possible for me to do it as well. It may take me longer. It may take me, you know, more. Resource is, you know, whatever that may be, this far is like the different things that may come into play or may come into factor regardless of what they are. If somebody else has already done it, I know that I can do it as well. And that's essentially one of the most important things that keep in mind when it comes to modeling, Successful performance is taking the approach, taking the understanding that if somebody else can do something, do also conduce Oh, it and understanding that you know what it may take you longer and they take you more resource is to achieve that goal or achieve that outcome. But you can ultimately achieve the same level of success performance that others have already accomplished because it's already been done right, and if it's already been done, then it can be redone and modeled. Number 13. If you want to understand act, the learning is in the doing. So many people will sit there and create all these different theoretical frameworks in their mind or theoretical situations of this can happen that can happen all these different permutations of different things. That's one of the things about really being a successful entrepreneur is being able to act , take action and not always have all the information that they need right, because most people will wait until they have, like, certainty 100% or all the information before they even make move right. But it's really important to understand the, you know, a little bit of action that you could take with really understanding maybe 60% of something . The action that you take is going to help you learn more and learn in real life experience , right because you can not compare theoretical frameworks and theoretical concepts in your mind of you imagining different scenarios versus getting riel feedback road data from the real world. So these are the 13 presuppositions of NLP that's going to be here for this video, and we'll see you on the next one. 6. How The Conscious & Unconscious Mind Works: in this video, we're going to talk about the conscious and unconscious mind. The unconscious mind is really the driver and everything that we do. It's the one that's essentially in charge. We think that we tend to be in charge consciously by making different decisions, But I'm going to share with you. Why, precisely? The unconscious mind is the one who was actually driving all of our decisions unknowingly. So let's go right ahead here and jump into this year. So all change first takes place at the unconscious level, and then we become aware of it in NLP. The conscious refers to everything that its present moment awareness everything that we are aware of right here right now, and we can hold about seven different pieces of information or chunks of information consciously at any time. That's why we can remember phone numbers because their seven digits. So if you look at this illustration over here on the right, you can see the unconscious is much larger than the actual conscious mind, right? When you think about the unconscious, that's where everything is happening. Everything that is actually going on when you are in any kind of interaction or any kind of situation. You are prejudging people you are thinking in certain ways you are telling yourself different thoughts. You're having these different, you know, imaginations. All of this is going on unconsciously, right, and when you can then focus your attention on what you are thinking or what you're doing and how you're responding. Then it becomes conscious, and one of the things that keep in mind is that some beliefs and values remain unconscious to you. But then they guide you as far as your life. What that you ever even realizing how powerful they truly are. A good example of this is if you grew up in a household that I was told or that had the saying of money is the root of all evil. Rich people are bad, you know. Money is bad, money doesn't grow on trees. That is a certain belief that is limiting. And it may be guiding your life and not allowing you to live a life of abundance because you have ingrained these thoughts that there's not very much there's lack in the world. Not everybody has enough money to do extra wine, and that money is is bad. And here's thing. When it comes to things like money, it's not inherently good or bad. It's neutral, like for most things right, you can have a context of, you know, we're using a weapon and have it be, you know, a bad situation where you're hurting somebody. But then it could be in a different context where you're using a weapon and you're defending yourself from somebody else. So things are not necessarily black or white in terms of its good or bad. It's all related on the context. And you know how you essentially view the situation, right? So very, very important there. Toe understand the unconscious is guiding everything that we do right unknowingly. And once we're able to really understand how the unconscious works, what you're going to learn in this course here, but also how to maneuver and change different beliefs that we have embedded in our unconscious and how we can bring those to a conscious awareness and be able to change those and two more resourceful beliefs and values. And this is a really good example here of the conscious mind versus the unconscious mind. So the conscious mind is like the captain of a ship. Its steering. It's guiding its setting the outcomes and deciding the directions. Okay. And then those directions, those particular outcomes, right, Get passed on to the unconscious where we start to take action and achieve them right. And so the unconscious is just like the ship that is taking you to where you want to go, right? It's the captain that is in charge. And if the captain were not to control the ship that it would go, river chooses. Right. So the conscious and unconscious form of balance partnership, right when you can use different strategies, different techniques to be able to get your unconscious on board with what you have. Because let's say that you have a conscious goal or something you want to accomplish, right? You want to make more money or you want to do whatever kind of outcome that you want to accomplish, right? Let's say that you want to get a better paying job, okay? And let's say that you have consciously made the decision right? And so then your unconscious Well, then take over to, you know, make that a reality or not, depending on the beliefs that you have internally if you don't have a sense of self esteem , a sense of self worth. If you don't feel that you deserve, ah, higher paying job or you're you know identity isn't in line with you having a higher salary , higher paying job, then it's not going to become a reality for you. And your unconscious is going to put all these different things all these different roadblocks in your way and not allow you to overcome them. Because you have that limiting belief about that particular situation unconsciously, and you may not even be aware of it. And again, here how we talked about, Ah, the resource is with the presuppositions we all have. All the resource is that we need or we can create them whatever we want to change, whatever we want to get better as whatever we want to remove as faras limiting beliefs we already had. Those resource is, and you're going to learn how to utilize various resource is in here, too. Help change yourself and also others to really help them see things from a different perspective and be able to live more fulfilling and prosperous lives. So that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one 7. The Power Of Setting Outcomes: in this video, we're going to talk about the power of outcomes. Outcomes are what really tell us what, exactly? We want to accomplish the end result. And if you don't have an outcome set for something that you want to accomplish, then you're going to be going all over the place, right when you set an outcome and you know precisely what exactly you want to accomplish. It allows you to more easily accomplish that particular goal and achieve that outcome. So we're going to talk about the power of outcomes in this particular section here. So the most important question that you need to be asking yourself when you're setting an outcome is what do I want? What exactly is it that I want to accomplish and being very specific about it, Right, because it's something that you desire to happen or a specific desired state that you want to have. However, you don't have that in your current present state, right? So you have to be extremely clear on the exact outcome that you want to achieve, and outcomes can be used in a variety of different ways. So when you think about wanting to accomplish a goal or solve some sort of problem setting an outcome is where you're going to be able to look at your present situation and look at it from the perspective of Okay, this is where I'm currently at, right here, right now. I have this problem. I have this Ah, particular thing that I want to do or accomplish. And the outcome is X y and z me accomplishing me, you know, doing whatever it is that I want to do so that I can not be in that present state anymore, right? And a longer journey of accomplishing your outcome. You're going tohave. Several resource is at your disposal through this NLP course here, a swells, different techniques and you're going to learn as well and it really just understanding that whatever it is that you want to accomplish, all you got to do is think about what outcome do I want from this, or you know what exactly do I want to accomplish and then reverse engineer that step by step to then break it down into smaller pieces, right? Smaller chunks so that you can take action daily and move closer to achieving your outcome and you're going tohave as I mentioned. Ah, lot of different resource is at your disposal to be able to get your outcome as quickly as possible. So as you can see here from this drawing, as I was just mentioning, you have your present state where you are currently at where you do not have your outcome. You do not have your desired goal achieved and you want to get into a desired stay. You want to accomplish X. You know, do why, whatever. That maybe maybe you want to lose weight and your present state your maybe £20 overweight and so your desired state. Your desired outcome is, you know, losing £30 right being £30 lighter. And so you use all different mental strategies, language patterns, your physiology and different emotional states. And then really powerfully the beliefs and the values to all help you in accomplishing your goals and reaching your desire state. There's so many resource is that are available to you that you don't even realize or it just out of your state of awareness, because you don't know what you don't know, right. And when you become exposed to all these different resource is, then your game changes. Your life will change because then it's not thinking in terms of Well, you know, how do I fix this or I'm not good enough or I can never do this. I could never do that. You're not gonna be thinking that way anymore. Because you have. The resource is at your disposal to be able to help you reach that desired outcome. So these four key questions here are extremely important for you to be able to make your journey successful. Number one, what am I moving towards, right? What exactly is it? You need to be crystal clear. It can be, You know, I want to lose weight. Okay, Well, how much weight? By what time? Right? I mean, all these different things that people talk about all the time As faras generalities aren't going to get you anywhere. You have to be crystal clear off what exactly that you want, right? Why am I moving there? Right. So very important to understand what is the values where the beliefs that are guiding you What is the reason you want to feel better about yourself? Do you want to attract? You know the opposite sex, right? You want to attract a mate? Whatever that maybe it's really important for you to find out why. Why is that a driving force for you? Right? And then how will I get there? This is the strategy that you're going to be using to actually accomplish your goals and to reach your desired outcome. Right? And what if something goes wrong? Your ability to be flexible to understand that things are going to not always go as planned , but be able to be open to modifying and adjusting right? Your strategy or the different tactics needed to get there. So that's gonna be here for this video and we'll see you on the next one. 8. Why You Need To Think In Outcomes: in this video, we're going to talk about thinking in outcomes. In the last video we went over, what exactly are outcomes? The power of outcomes, how they can help you achieve your goals and get crystal clear about what exactly you want to accomplish. And in this lecture, we're going to cover how to think in outcomes and the two different types of outcomes that we want to be thinking. And so let's go right ahead and jump into this. Now there's two aspects toe outcomes. OK, Number one is outcome thinking, deciding on what you want in any given situation. And this is the way that you should always be thinking in your life, knowing and thinking about what exactly that you want and being crystal clear about it. And then there's outcome orientation. So this is where you're constantly thinking and outcomes and having a general direction and purpose in life. This is kind of macro thinking, right? You have outcome, thinking that is very precise. This is exactly what I want. Outcome orientation is more broad, but it's still in a direction. For example, let's say that you want to make money in real estate, right Well, that's kind of more of an outcome orientation, where you know that you want to be making money in real estate and then with outcome thinking, then you can get very precise as to I want to be making money and real estate by owning properties and doing X, y and Z right? That's where you're getting, ah, lot more clear as to what exactly you want to accomplish. And the opposite of outcome thinking is problem thinking. So problem thinking focuses on what's wrong. And most people look to blame others for their actions, for their behaviors, for always, kind of focusing on what they don't want instead of focusing on what they do want. So very, very important here to really think about the things that you do want and stop focusing on plane a victim and thinking that it's always somebody else's fault when you are where you are because of decisions that you've made and the choices that you've made right and it's nobody else's. Yeah, you may have, you know, unique circumstances. You may be in a unique situation, However, the choices that you've made are all your own, and you have decided to be where you currently are. Remember, focusing on what you do want the outcomes that you actually do want tohave versus problems versus the things that you don't want to have versus the things you want to avoid. Right? And that's where a lot of people kind of missed the boat when they kind of said an outcome and they put in and negative, right? And let me give you an example. So somebody saying, Hey, I want to lose £30. Well, how about putting it in a positive way? The way that you can state in a positive is saying something such as? I'm going to go to the gym and I'm going to weigh expounds or my goal is to weigh expounds right instead of talking about things that you want to avoid, right things that you want to lose or things that you don't want to be focusing on right, because those are all problems. Remember, any time that you are stating something that you want to accomplish, it has to be stated in the positive right? You want to feel healthy, you want to feel better about yourself. You want to wait, expounds, but you don't want to stated in a negative, very, very important there when it comes to setting goals and setting outcomes. So we talked about the blame game and actually taking responsibility right in the way that you can really take responsibility is by looking inside and asking questions as to what's my contribution towards this problem? What part did I play in this particular situation, right? How did those contributions add to the problem? So you really looking at it from a detached type of perspective? You are removing yourself from the situation and you're taking 1/3 person perspective and you're looking at it and thinking him, What did I actually do here? What's the part that I played? And then what can I do about this? To make this better instead of thinking in terms of negativity and blaming others, taking responsibility and looking at what you can actually do so very, very powerful here. So that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see you on the next one 9. The Right Way To Structure Outcomes: in this video, we're going to talk about structuring outcomes. How exactly do we set up a outcome to restructure properly so that we can be in the best position possible to be able to accomplish that particular outcome? So there are nine questions that you need to ask when you're structuring an outcome. Okay. And I mentioned this in the previous video. You always want to state your outcome in the positive. So what do you want? Outcomes. Air expressed always, always in the positive. And it's always about what you're wanting to accomplish, what you want and not thinking in terms of what you don't want very important there. Number two evidence. How will you know that you are succeeding or have succeeded? This is really important here to be able to track your results. So when you said an outcome, you must think of how you're going to measure the progress and their civically two types of evidence. Number one feedback. As you move towards your outcome, how will you know that you keep yourself on track? What things are you going to measure every single day every week? That lets you know that you're moving closer to accomplishing your outcome. Right? And then number two evidence for having achieved the outcome. How will you know when you've actually achieved your desired outcome, right, That desired state. What will you see? What will you hear? What will you feel at that particular moment when you know? Yes, I have achieved this outcome, right? So very, very important there to set some kind of criteria. So you know that you're actually moving toward your goal and or that you actually accomplished your desired outcome. Okay, so number three specifics where and when and with whom? Where specifically do you want this outcome? Remember, with NLP and everything that we do, we're looking to get crystal clear on everything that we want. Not talking in generalities, not talking about this or that. It's This is exactly what I want. And this is how I'm going to do it. This is how I'm No, I'm going to, you know, actually be achieving my goal. And getting crystal clear is just critically important for achieving your outcome. OK? Keep in mind that you may want your particular outcome in a certain context, right? Let's say you want to increase productivity or you want to be more confidence? Well, where specifically do you want to increase productivity? Where precisely do you want to be more confident? Right? Increasing your productivity can be an area where you are focusing maybe on work. Or maybe in your personal life, whatever that maybe you gotta get crystal clear on where you want that outcome to come from , Right? And when it comes to being confidence, well, where do you want to be confident in? You want to be confident talking to the opposite sex. You want to be more confident in your work, right? You got to get crystal clear. And the context needs to be there as faras. Where exactly do you want that? So number four resource is what resource is that you have at your disposal? So we have objects. This is equipment technology, right? Whatever that can be. Courses, different books that will help you essentially get that knowledge. And then people were talking about family, friends, acquaintances, you know, different colleagues, other business contacts. And you don't depending on what you're looking to accomplish. Sometimes you know, family and friends can not be. Resource is for you because let's say that you're trying to start a business or make money online, or one of those things where it's kind of out of the norm. Well, people in your life, unknowingly, unconsciously, are going to try to bring you down because it's new. It's different. It's not kind of their realm of expertise or understanding. And so you know, when you have your dreams of wanting to start a business and do all these great things, those around you will unknowingly and unfortunately start to bring you down and talked down on what you're doing your ideas. And so you got to think about it in terms of context, of what you're trying to accomplish. Okay, so role models, anyone that has already succeeded and getting the outcome? This can be different people that you follow different entrepreneurs, different areas of focus that you're looking to get into. For example, if you're looking to, you know, get better as far as your health, well, there's a lot of help people and you can follow that have already achieved your outcome. So it's about modeling their behavior, right? Personal qualities, what personal qualities that you have or need to develop to achieve your outcome. So, for example, if you want to be, let's say, more confident with talking to the opposite sex. Well, you may need to learn how to communicate properly, how to use different language patterns, how to understand what the other person is thinking and how to put others in different states. Right? So you have to look at what are the skills that you need in order for you to help you accomplish that goal, achieve that outcome and then money. If money plays a factor here, how are you going to, you know, fund your particular goal? Your outcome If you want to, Let's say go to the gym and get in better shape. Well, there's gonna be a cost associated with that gym membership. Or if you have, that's a personal training lessons. So you need to be able to look at your resource. Is faras money and know that Okay, I either need to make more money, raise money, or I need to kind of work this out in a way where I break it down into smaller pieces. So understanding that is crucially important for you to be able to utilize your resource is appropriately. Number five control. So how much will these under your direct control? I know a lot of times we like to or want to try to do things that aren't necessarily within our control. There's only so much that we can do, right? There's laws, there's rules. There's different things that are set in place where we just have no direct control over. You gotta look at okay. What are the things that I can control And let's say that you're looking to maybe find a mentor or someone that can help you in achieving your particular outcome. Well, you gotta look at OK, how will this person going to help me? What can I do to motivate them? Or how can I incentivize them to actually help me and actually put in the time energy and resource is to help me accomplish my goal? What's in it for them? What am I going to do for them so that they can help me out? Right. So, looking at what is under your direct control so that you can, you know, essentially take action on that and make sure that you're doing everything that you can That is within your direct control. Number six Ecology. What are the wider consequences? So this is really important here because you've got to think about everything, has an opportunity cost. When you are focusing on one area, another area is going to get neglected. So it's really important for you to understand that if you're trying to, let's say, start a business, well, you're probably going to be tied up. Ah, lot of times working on your business, working hard, working a lot of hours and your family may get, you know, the short end of the stick. They may not be able to spend as much time with you as it would like. And so you got to look at you know, the wider consequences here and the opportunity costs of Hey is starting. A business is running my own business enough of a benefit for me to have to give up, you know, my family time or these other hobbies or other things that I'm currently doing as well. So you have to decide that and decide what you're willing to give up. Number seven Identity Is this outcome in alignment with who you are and you gotta think about this from the perspective of who you are and who you're looking to become because we're always growing. We're always kind of becoming a better version of ourselves each year and acquiring new knowledge and, you know, being wiser than you were before. So understanding that this is going to be a huge identity play here because if you can't see yourself as that person accomplishing X goals accomplishing, you know you becoming healthier, more confidence than you're not going to achieve that because your personal identity is for us. Who you see yourself is not going to be congruence in alignment with who you're actually trying to become in case a very, very important there. Number eight. How do your outcomes fit together? If you're outcome is too large, then you need to actually break things down into smaller outcomes. Because if you have this huge outcome that you're looking to accomplish, let's say you want to make you know millions of dollars or a $1,000,000 right? Well, why not break that down into smaller chunks and two smaller outcomes? Maybe it's, you know, you're making, ah, $100,000 then you know, 500,000 and then a 1,000,000 so that you don't get discouraged. Right? When you can break things down into smaller chunks into smaller pieces, then it helps you going to stay motivated towards your ultimate outcome, Which may be that $1,000,000 right? So very, very important there as well. Number nine, Action plan. What to do next? Now, this is probably the most important part here of your outcome and actually structuring your outcomes because you can have every single thing else you can plan everything you can, you know, have your identity set up. You can have your outcomes, you know, as far as all fitting together, knowing you were, you know, opportunity costs all these different things, your evidence. But if you are not able to take action and set of action plan and actually move forward every single day towards that, then it's going to be all for not There is so many people out there that will set all these different goals and outcomes. But they don't have an action plan, and they sit there and go through all the different permutations, all the different things that could go wrong, and theoretical models that you know can potentially probably maybe happen. And so they get hit with the indecision bug, and they just get that paralysis by analysis. So make sure that you are setting steps. This is what I'm going to do today. This is what I'm going to do tomorrow. These are the things that I'm going to accomplish by the end of this week by the end of this month so that you can actually move towards them every single day and you'll be able to know and see that you're actually moving forward and you're taking action. How Beliefs Are Formed & How We Can Change Them: in this video, we're going to cover the structure of beliefs, how exactly we develop our beliefs and the roads that are believes play in our everyday lives because we may not even be aware of these kind of self limiting beliefs or beliefs about certain areas or certain things that you can or cannot do. And we're going to dive deep into really understanding the structure of these beliefs and how we can change them and how we can really analyze them to really see if there's something that we can or cannot do as far as our own ability. So let's go right ahead here and jump in here. So how do we develop our beliefs? Well, our believes are essentially the rules that we live by. They are essentially our best guesses as to what reality is for us. And here's the thing. Beliefs are not facts. These are only things that we have for ourselves that we believe them to be true. Think about it this way. There's like universal truth, right? There's kind of the rules and the laws of physics rights, and then we have kind of our individual truths that we have right our own beliefs that are really come into play and everything that we can or cannot do as faras are thought of whether or not we can do those things, because oftentimes we are a lot more capable than we think we are. And so what ends up happening is when you have these beliefs about things that you are good at, things that you are not good at and what you believe that you can actually accomplish And do these all become self fulfilling prophecies, right? If let's say you want to, you know, start of online business, you want to work for yourself. You want to quit your job. Well, your believes will determine whether or not that will happen as a reality in your life, because it's as simple is looking at it from the perspective of okay, if I believe that I can make money online, I believe that I can start my own business. I could be successful. Your actions are going to act in accordance to those beliefs right, and you're going to take the action you're going to, you know, do whatever it takes to make that a reality. Now, if your beliefs are that it's too hard. It's out of your room of expertise. He just can never do this because it's just not you. And you just don't believe and don't think that it's a possibility for you. Well, guess what, then it's not. And it's going to be exactly that you're going to create that a self fulfilling prophecy, so very important to understand that your beliefs are creating thes, self offending prophecies. And a good example of this is if you believe and you go out into the world and you see yourself as a very nice, genuine, authentic, likeable person that can connect with anybody, and that is, you know, very enjoyable to be around Ryan. Then you're going to go out into the world, and you're actually going to experience that in the real world, right? Because you inherently believe that about yourself. And so your actions are going to act in accordance to those beliefs, right? Same thing is, if you believe that you are an introvert, you're not very good with people. You are, you know, just not really confident in yourself or all these different beliefs that air essentially putting you out to be as someone who's not very social, right? If you have that belief about yourself and guess what. When you walk out into the real world and you communicate with others and you're engaging in social activities, then your beliefs right are going to come into play and then you're going to essentially act in that manner as if you really don't have any social skills as you really you know are not Ah, very good person when it comes to you, you know, building social interaction so very important to understand that your beliefs are self fulfilling prophecies. And if you inherently believe something about yourself that's going to play out in the real world, so very, very important there to become aware of different beliefs that you may have right now about yourself and how they can be limiting you because that's what's going to allow you to really look at those beliefs and look to see if they actually serve you or if they're not serving you and then being able to create different strategies, different action plans to make it so that that belief is no longer there. Now, when it comes to believes and outcomes, you have toe have a belief in your ability to be able to accomplish her outcomes, because if you don't, then you're just not going to be able to do very much with yourself. We're really just in life in general, because if you haven't outcome that you want to lose weight or that you want to become more healthy, right, you always wanna state your outcomes in the positive. So let's say that it's become more healthy. And if you don't believe that, you can become more healthy, that you can become more fit than guess what? You're not going to because all of your actions are going to, you know, say otherwise so very important There. You need to believe three things about your outcomes any time that you're setting them. Okay, Number one that it's possible to achieve them. Number two, you're able to achieve them. Okay, no matter what Number three, you deserve to achieve them. This is very important here because if you don't feel that you deserve them, then you're not going to, because this is probably one of the biggest kind of obstacles that people run into with them not being able to achieve certain outcomes, You know, whether it be, you know, making more money or attracting the right kind of mate deep down inside, they don't believe that they actually deserve that particular outcome they don't deserve. They're not worthy of making more money. They're not worthy of, you know, being able to attract that other person, right? So very, very important there that when you're setting your outcomes, you have three things that you believe about your outcome. Okay, possibility, ability and worthiness. Very, very important there. Now, when it comes the possibility you have to think about that. It's not necessarily that you can't do it, is that you tell yourself and you think that you can do it and most importantly, that you don't really know how to write. So if you're looking to accomplish something and you don't know how, you're just gonna automatically think and say that, Hey, you know, I just can't do this. It's not for me. I don't have the skills, this, this and that, right? Well, how about the fact that you don't really know how to do that right? And the fact that you can learn how to do that? It's just that you don't really know the skills. You don't really know kind of the structure of the process of how that works as faras accomplishing X y and Z right? But it's just the fact that you need to get educated, you need to be able to learn. And, you know, you can learn to really do anything and everything on that you put your mind to because we have truly unlimited potential. We have unlimited powers, and oftentimes we hold ourselves back because we don't believe in ourselves. We have these false beliefs about ourselves, about our self identity. We don't believe that we deserve it and that we're worthy of accomplishing these goals. So I understand that you have unlimited possibility, unlimited potential toe accomplish anything and everything that you want to accomplish, and then ability, right. This goes into the possibility of understanding that you can accomplish anything that you want, but you just haven't learned how to do that. I remember when I made the decision to want to quit my job and start working full time for myself. I really thought about okay, I know that I can make this happen because I know others out there are successful. They're working for themselves. So if other people can do it, I know I can do it as well. It may take me longer. It may take me, you know, as Faras. Utilizing more resource is however I know And I truly believe in my ability to, you know, we'll start working for myself, accomplished my goals because I can do anything that I put my mind to. Okay, And what you gonna do is essentially borrow confident from other places in your life. Let's say that you are really good at math or mathematics or really good at school are really good at sports, whatever that may be used, that particular skill, that ability that you have and look at it from this perspective. Okay, I know that I have had recent success or previous success in certain areas of my life, and I know that I can transfer that into different areas, and all I got to do is just learn how to do it. It may take me a little bit longer than others, and that's OK, but at the end of the day, I know that I'm going to be able to accomplish that. Do that because I have unlimited ability on them of the potential and I got to do is learn the ropes of how to do it. The skills develop every single day, and I will be able to do that within time. And then we have worthiness. Now I kind of touched upon this and the previous slide, where if you don't feel that you are deserving, if you don't feel that you're worthy, then you're not going to be able to accomplish those goals. Right? And Opie doesn't have some kind of moral or ethical type of, you know, deal situated with it, because here's the thing. Morals and ethics kind of swing in the wind. So what you feel what you think or what you know, one culture believes to be more on ethical right could be completely different than what another culture believes, Right? So very, very important that you understand kind of the morals ethics that you have within yourself , right, and whether or not you feel that you're worthy and oftentimes you'll have this worthiness, this deserving factor that is holding you back and trying to accomplish and reach your goals right and So when you can really understand this and you can change that, you can flip that to wear. You know what? Yes, I am worthy. I am deserving of X, y and Z, and I'm going to do whatever I need to do to make this happen. Right? And so that's where things change. That's where you know things will flip on its head and you'll be able to start thinking to yourself, Yes, I'm worthy. I am deserving because I am doing X, y and Z. I'm putting in the work. I'm willing to do whatever it takes, right? And so that's where that worthiness and that deserving factor comes in by you understanding that no matter what, you're going to make this happen. You're going to do whatever it takes, and you're going to come out and be at the top of the mountain. So once you have understood that you are deserving, you are worthy. You want to look for possible obstacles and might want to think to yourself. Okay, well, what may stop me or I will not achieve my goal because of X y and Z list the reasons why you believe okay, and then these obstacles will typically fall into these five categories you don't have. The resource is okay. You have the resource is, but you don't know what to do, okay? And this is often times where a lot of people will fall into where they have. Maybe the financial resource is they have kind of that, you know, driving that one too. But they don't really know kind of where to get started, right? And especially with, like, starting an online business making money online. A lot of people don't really know kind of where to even begin, like what to do and what kind of different business models are available. So, um, understanding that is just you know what? It's an obstacle, and you can get over it, right? So number three, you know what to do. But you do not believe you have this skill. This is probably the top to hear. Number two. Number three are mostly the top two areas where people fall into where they just shoot themselves in the foot. Okay. The issue there with number three is that they know what to do. They have You know, the knowledge, you know. Hey, I need to do X, Y and Z. They have the plan. They have the structure, the process, but they don't believe that it's possible. Or they don't believe that people will listen to them or that they have any value to share . Right, so very, very important to be aware of that. Number four you have the skill, but it doesn't seem worth it. This could be something where let's say that you are working for, like a marketing agency or marketing business. The company that you work for essentially helps businesses generate more leads and sales online. Well, the thought comes to you that you want to start your own business. You want to essentially branch out on your own and work with, you know clients through your own kind of entity, right? And you have this skill. However, it doesn't seem working to you because you would have to go out and get your own clients. You have to get your own insurance, your own benefits, all these different things, and then there's no stability, right? So just because you have a skill you know, doesn't mean that it's worth it to you, right? So very, very important. There to look at it from the perspective of Is this worth it to me? Is this really what I want to do? Right? And number five, it's worthwhile, but somehow it's just not you. Now, you may be somebody who is more better suited or better suited for second in command. Maybe you're not a starter as far as a founder where you'd like to start things. But you're really good with optimization and system ization writing kind of taking over when things kind of already are off the ground and running. And that's okay, right? So this is one of those scenarios where you may not be a founder. You may not be one of those guys that likes to start businesses, but you like working kind of as a second in command and being kind of that chief operations officer, right? And be able to look at it from that perspective and know that you know what this roads better suited for me. So being able to ask these five questions here will really help you understand whether or not this is actually something that you want to be able to step into or be able to look at , You know, Hey, these obstacles are what are going to be in my way. And these are the different things I got to do to make sure that I overcome these obstacles . And then I, you know, congrats with myself, and I'm actually moving towards something that I really, truly want to do right now. Once you have a list of objections, decided how many of these air actually really obstacles and how many of them are? Just believes. Okay, Because this is where you're going to really shed a light, right? Shine a light on to what is an actual belief that you have about yourself about you know what you can and cannot do or what is in riel obstacle that can get in your way. Okay. And with these, there's three possibilities here. So number one, there are real obstacles that make it impossible for you to achieve your goals. If so, then just drop the outcome. It's a waste of time to pursue it now, although the circumstances may change. So this is something where let's say that you want to become an attorney, right, and you want to be able to get your life since you want to become an attorney and you want to go to law school, right, Well, here's the thing. You're not going to go to law school unless you go out and you get your bachelor's. You get your associates degree because then at that time, you know, after you get kind of your bachelors, you're able to then go to law school same thing with like, dentistry. Or like if you wanted to become a doctor, you can't just go to medical school, right? You have to essentially go through the preliminaries, right, which is your associates? Your bachelor's degree. And then you're able to transfer to medical school. So, looking at it, from that perspective of you know, these obstacles really make it impossible for me right now. But these are the things that I need to do instead to be able to get me to where I can actually accomplish that goal. Right. So number two there are really officer goes that you can get around if you devoted the time and effort to doing so now. If so, then decide whether you want this goal enough to put in the time and effort. So this is something where Let's say you wanted to start an online business and you wanted to work with clients and you wanted to help them with marketing. And you had no marketing experience, right? Well, this is something where you can actually devote your time and effort into learning, marketing, right, learning sales, learning how to properly communicate, and then you can go ahead and put in the time and effort. I mean, this was essentially what I did years ago when I decided to go full time online. I, you know, had no experience with digital marketing. No experience with you, really, Sales. I had sales experience, but not to the point of where I was working with, like, local businesses. So it was a different type of sales kind of methodology and process that I had to learn and I had to develop. And this is where, you know, I decided, you know what? It's worth it to me to go out and put the time and energy and resource is into learning what I had to learn to make this goal possibility for me. Right? Number three. There are believes about yourself or other people that you do not really know whether they are true. Okay, now, really think about how you could test that belief? Does that obstacle only exist inside your head now? This is going back into the worthiness factor, okay? Whether you feel that you are deserving or worthy, let's say that you have a belief about yourself that you cannot see yourself. You know, being a millionaire or you cannot see yourself making X amount of dollars, and you have that belief about your ability to perform. And then you have a belief of others, right looking at you and not thinking that you have anything valuable to share right. This is where you have kind of lack of self esteem. You don't feel that you add value that you have value to provide, even though you may, and you probably do write about a certain subject or whatever area that you have experiencing. And so it's really about understanding. Is this a true belief, or is this just something inside of my head? And if it's a belief, Okay, let's break this down. This dissect this into whether or not it's just really something I invented because of my past experience. Or is this something that I could really, you know, knock out of the ballpark and get done right? And then we have affirmations. Now these are extremely powerful to help you in accomplishing your goals, because what you're really doing here is your programming your unconscious to accept these statements as being true. So let's say that you are looking to lose weight or you're looking to become healthier, make more money. You always want to state these in the positive, and what you want to do is you want to state thes as if they're occurring right now. So an example of this is I am becoming more and more relaxed. Now here's something else that you can also do with affirmations. What I like to do is put a feeling of accomplishment that I know that this is already true . So let me give you example in my affirmations. I like to say I am wildly overwhelmed and filled with joy and grateful that X y Z is happening or X y Z is already accomplished right? Like it's already done. It's not even a question. I already know it to be true, right? I am wildly overwhelmed. I am grateful. I'm just filled with joy, knowing that X y Z is done. OK, so very, very powerful. And then feel that feeling there of joy of, you know, overwhelm of just gratitude, right? And that is truly going to help you with your affirmations, because when you can put feelings and emotions behind those affirmations, they're going to be that much more powerful. So that's going to be here for this video, and we'll see you on the next one. 11. The Stages of Learning: in this video. We're going to talk about the stages of learning now when it comes to learning. This is something that we're always doing every single day, whether it's something that we're learning how to do unconsciously consciously, whether it's a certain, you know, skill that we're looking to develop, right. So I want to walk you through Ah, the different stages of learning and how you can essentially become a better learner and be more efficient and be able to retain more knowledge. So let's go right ahead here and jump into this. So what's the process of learning? How do we actually learn something? Okay, so learning is defined as acquiring knowledge and skills and abilities, either by studying or by either taking action on something right experience or, you know, being taught. So that's essentially the results right where we have learned a specific skill, we have, you know, being able to acquire new knowledge. Now there is a certain process to how we actually learn, and we're going to go through the four different stages of learning. So number one, this is unconscious and competence. Okay? This is where you don't know what you don't know, it's just out of your awareness. So you are essentially in a box, so just think to yourself. Being in a box and outside of that box is your skill or that particular knowledge, and you just don't have the awareness understanding that that even exists. Okay, A good example of this is just driving a car or like riding a bike or, you know, doing anything that requires some sort of mental capacity. Skill, concentration, right. Maybe a sport. I remember when I was first playing basketball, when I was growing up, I had a hard time kind of dribbling the ball and, you know, couldn't understand. You know how some people could put the ball through their legs and, you know, do all these neat tricks and everything. And it was just kind of like, out of my awareness that I could even do all that right, or that I was even a possibility before I even started. So once you become aware of something and you understand kind of the process of it and how it works, and then the outcome, right, then you're able to really, you know, start implementing, start taking action on that particular area or that particular thing that you want to do. But for most of the time, it's where you just completely unaware that it actually exists. So number two, this is conscious incompetence, so you're able to practice the skill. But you're not very good. Just like when I was playing basketball, I would practice dribbling the ball. I would practice, you know, dribbling the ball through my legs, doing all these cool dribbling techniques. But I just wasn't very good, and I had to really put my attention and focus and to what I was doing, OK, And so this particular stage, you're not kind of coming in with any preconceived notions. You don't have any previous baggage of you know how things should be or how things should be done right. You are able to learn very fast very quickly because you're just learning new information, right? You're just consuming new knowledge. You're taking action, you're getting that feedback and you're able to get immediate results. And stage number three this is conscious, competent, So here you have the skill, but it's not yet consistent and habitual. You really need to concentrate in order to improve and your improvements are not as much as if you were in the conscious incompetence, right, because you have kind of a set skill kind of a baseline, and now it's about really taking it to that next level. And so that's where you run into the obstacles that make you think that this is enough or that you are good enough to, you know, go out into the real world where really you can take this a step further and have it fully ingrained into you so that you don't have to think about it. Okay, and that's stage number four. That's unconscious competence. Now when I play basketball and after, you know, I was able to really practice, you know, my dribbling, my shooting, all these different things. Now my skill is habitual and automatic. When I'm playing pickup basketball, when I'm playing, you know, on the court with different people. I'm just out there and I'm doing all these crazy, unique and cool passes passing the ball behind my back between my legs. I'm doing all these crazy maneuvers in basketball, and this is all being done unconsciously. I'm not even really thinking about it. It's really interesting because I've had people come up to me and ask me, you know, when I was playing basketball quite a bit. Hey, you know, what are you doing or kind of, you know, what are you thinking when you are doing all these moves and all these different passes, like, are you actually thinking about what you're going to do? And, you know, I would tell them No, actually, it's all done on autopilot. I don't even think about You know how I'm going to do this or what I'm going to do. That is just my body, my unconscious taking over. So this is where you want to get to. You want to get to where your skill is completely automatic, right? Just think about you driving a car, and you're not really being fully conscious. How many times have you, you know, been driving and you get to your destination? You're like, How did I even get here? I remember when I was working and I would have to commute in traffic and in my job, I would commit about, I don't know, maybe an hour or so. And then I would find myself at times where I would, you know, be kind of aware, consciously aware of, like, leading my job, leaving my work, and then I would get on the freeway and I'd be driving. And then I would just get lost and thought, you know, day dreaming or thinking about, you know, different things really deep into thought. And then I would arrive out my exit or I would arrive in my area and I would just be like, Oh, man, when did I get here? How did I get here? Right? Because I was just doing the driving enervating unconsciously. And that's essentially how you want to look at it now. How long does it take to become competence? Well, takes about 1000 hours to reach conscious competence, and it takes about 5000 hours to reach unconscious competence. Now, if you're looking to really, you know, take that to the next level and you're looking to really get to mastery. This is where I think it's a Malcolm Gladwell or I don't remember who exactly wrote the book. But there talk about the 10,000 hour rule where if you want to become a master right, you want to master something that's where it requires 10,000 hour timeframe there. But if you just want to become, you know, unconscious, competent on that particular area, that skill and you want to be no pretty good at it, then that's where you want to be able to spend at least 5000 hours. But if you want to be a master, truly a master at that particular skill or area, then you want to think about more towards 10,000 hours. Now is there any type of shortcut toe learning? Well, there's two shortcuts. The first is having a good teacher. A good teacher will divide the work into manageable chunks and give you constant series of small successes and satisfy your intellectual curiosity about the subject. Now a really good example of this is when I was growing up, I had a hard time learning math. I had a hard time really putting it all together, and I eventually found a teacher in high school that really broke things down for me, and it made it so that I could actually be successful with math because I was able to expand my awareness. That was from having a good teacher because not everybody obviously will teach in the same way. Some people are more kind of, you know, break things down for you, step by step. And some people are more kind of macro broad perspective, type of outlook, right where they want to teach things at a very high level and don't want to get into the details. And so it's really important there to understand that a good teacher is going to provide you with, ah lot of different types of teaching styles and understanding because they know that some people are, you know, detail oriented. Some people are big picture, right? Some people are visual auditory, kinesthetic rank. And so they're able to challenge you enough to be able to know that you're actually, you know, making progress. And you're not getting overwhelmed, right? So that's very, very key there that it's not just data dumping on you. I'm just giving you all this information. But they're giving, you know, very good examples. They're walking you through step by step there, you know, utilizing the macro and micro perspectives just really, really powerful here. Okay. And then the second short cut is accelerated learning now. Accelerated learning goes directly from Stage one, which is the unconscious incompetence to Stage four. This is unconscious competence. Now it bypasses the conscious stages and NLP modeling and all these aerbin techniques and strategies and methods. You're going to learn how you can take, you know, your particular skill sets and be able to bypass that conscious mind and get it ingrained into your unconscious. So things become automatic and where you don't really have to think about which are actually doing. You can just act and make things happen without having to be consciously aware. So that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one. 12. How To Get Into "The Learning Zone": in this video, we're going to talk about the learning zone. Now. This is very, very important eras well for you to be aware of because it's going to help you understand the three different stages where you're in a learning mode or if you're an anxiety kind of mode where you're feeling kind of stressed out because things maybe you know, too difficult for you. So I'm gonna walk you through the three different zones that you must be aware of whenever you're looking to. I learn a new skill whenever you're learning to acquire some new knowledge. Because if you're not aware of these, then you can easily get discouraged. You can easily look to quit and give up because you don't have the awareness of what these are and how you can overcome them. So let's go right ahead and jump in here. So the three zones to be aware of is number one, the drone zone. This is where the perceived resource is are much greater than the perceived difficulty. This is where you are kind of bored because you're not being challenged enough. You are kind of just going through the motions. You're kind of just doing it. And it's not really exciting and entertained for you, right? And the number two, this is the anxiety zone. This is where perceived difficulty is much greater than perceived. Resource is, this is kind of where I was when I had the thoughts and belief that I wasn't very good at math. It was just causing anxiety. I just couldn't figure it out. And I was really stressed out about it, right? And so, you know, once I was able to get to the stage number three, the learning zone, where the proceed difficulty roughly matches the perceived resource is that's where I was able to make it enjoyable. And actually, you know, look to really thoroughly understand the different concepts, the different strategies techniques that, you know, we were using to reach some sort of formula or algorithm that we were trying to really iron out and accomplish right? So very, very important there that you want to be in the learning zone. Whenever you're looking toe, learn something, develop a new skill, right? Because if you're not, then it just going to be not very pleasant for you, and it's gonna be easy for you to want to give up and quit. So you want to look to have it where it's not hard enough, and it's not easy enough for you to get bored. Right now. There's two types of learning. There's thesis impolite and generative with number one The simple learning. This is where you have a gap between what you know in what you want to know. Okay, and then you take action to close that gap. The feedback let you know whether you're approaching your goal. And if your actions are giving you closer to that goal right hence, closing the gap. Now a really good example of this is, let's say, a person that goes to the doctor, okay? And they have headaches. Well, the doctor then prescribes them with painkillers. And now that person knows and has learned that next time he has a headache, right? He's going to just need to take painkillers. All he needs to do is go to the doctor. The doctor is going to give him painkillers, and it's a simple problem in a simple solution. OK, now there's number two, which is the generative learning. Now with this, this goes a little bit more, deeper. So with the previous example when we talked about that. The individual having a headache rank. They're going to the doctor. They're getting prescribed painkillers. This is where they're taking a step further. And that individual is not only thinking about the headache, right? And the painkillers. He's actually going deeper and actually asking questions about whether or not he should change his lifestyle or Diet rite. And that's where a lot of people miss the boat when they have some kind of headache or, you know, stress or whatever. Then maybe they will simply go to the doctor and say, Hey, you know, I got headaches or whatever, you know, feeling anxious. I have stress, anxiety, all this stuff, and then doctors like, Hey, you know, have you tried X or X product, and then they will push on you. Whatever they feel is kind of, you know, the best thing for you. And oftentimes it's not necessarily the best thing for you because it just puts a Band Aid on Ah, that particular feeling or that particular problem, right? If you have a headache, if you take some, you know, pills. Yeah, you know, it may actually go away. You take some, you know, medicine there. But ultimately, if you're just, like looking to really figure out what is really the problem here and get to the core right , then you need to look at things steeper, right? You need to look at your diet, your lifestyle, and you look at what other things can be contributing to my headaches and then not just wanting to put a Band Aid over it. Right? So very, very important there. So that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one. 13. How To Solve Any Problem With Neurological Levels: in this video. We're going to talk about the neurological levels now. This is a model here that is very, very good for problem solving. And I'm gonna walk you through how we can use this to our advantage and to our benefit. Whenever we are experiencing a problem, an issue in our lives and we can go to these different levels here and really find out what we need to find out. In order to be able to overcome this obstacle, figure out you know a solution to this problem and help us move forward. So let's go ahead and jump into this year. So with the neurological levels, there's six different levels here. So number one, there's environment. This is aware in the wind Number two behavior the what? Number three s capability. That how number four is the beliefs and values, right? The why and then number five is the identity who write who you are in the number six, the beyond identity. Typically, this is kind of like spiritual on type of connection there. So let's kind of look at this in a problem situation. Let's say that you want to break up with the opposite sex. It's You have a partner. You have a girlfriend or boyfriend or whatever. And you want to break up with them. Because for whatever reason, maybe you're moving. Or maybe you just don't have that spark there anymore. And you want to do this now rather than just kind of dragging it out and, you know, leading somebody straight, right? Leading them to believe that you actually want to pursue this and continue pursuing this. So what you're able to do is then looked through and go through all these different levels here and figure out why is it that you're actually wanting to do that? And then what's the best way to go about it? So let's say you look at, you know, the environment. Okay. Well, okay. So where am I going to do this, right? Where am I going to actually let them know? Am I going to meet him at their house? Am I going to meet him at my house? You know, whatever that may be right. Then you think about behavior. The what? What exactly are you going to tell them? How are you going to say that? How are you going to be able to put it and the best warm way possible so that you can minimize the damage there as faras them feeling emotional and crying. Because if a guy is looking to break up with the female right that you know, girls probably going to get very emotional and maybe be crying and maybe make a scene. I don't know, right, But for the man, you know, it could be the same thing. We never know, right? And then we have capability. So how are you going to do it right? What are you going to tell them? How are you going to say that? Rain So that you're able to, you know, say it in the best possible way and the number four, the beliefs and values. So this is where you look to yourself and you ask. Okay. Well, why am I doing this? Why do I want to make her feel or make him feel like crap? You know, make them feel bad and have to break up with them, right? I don't like to see them, so I don't like to see them uncomfortable. But it's something that I have to do because I know that if I do it later, it's going to hurt them more, right? And so I'm doing this so that they can experience something you know, negative right now and not be able to have them experience something even larger and more loss down the road and the number five identity. The who? So who exactly is all involved here? And in this case, it's your partner, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, whatever that may be, right. And the number six. And this could be where maybe you have some sort of religious belief or some sort of belief . Ah, and you know something spiritually that maybe doesn't allow you to be with that kind of person or for what they stand for, whatever that may be, right. And so this is where you can use this almost as a process to go through all these different neurological levels and ask these questions so you can get crystal clear as to why you're doing something or why you should do something and or how to go about it, right, because we're just sometimes not very clear when it comes to like our beliefs and our values. We don't really know kind of why we have them, or even kind of why they're even driving the bus for us in making a decision. So these six levels here really allow us to get that clarity that we're looking for and be able to come up with the best possible scenario. And these are great for when you're setting outcomes, right? So when you can give very specific as to the sort of environment that you want, right and how you want to act, what skills that you want tohave what attitudes? What kind of identity do you want to have, right, what kind of beliefs and values that are important to you and that you want to have as well , right. This is all going to help you get that clarity when setting your outcome so the neurological levels can help you being able to solve really any problem that comes your way anytime you have something that is keeping you down that is holding you down, that it's keeping you're stuck. Being able to go through all these different levels and answer the questions will help you understand what you need to do and why you need to do it and then how to go about doing it . Right? So that's gonna be here for this video and we'll see on the next one. 14. The Language of Neurological Levels: in this video, we're going to talk about the language of the neurological levels. So this is where we get into a lot of the specifics as to the kind of language that we use whenever we are talking about a different neurological levels, whether it be behavior, whether it be environment, identity, believe capability, right? We tend to use certain language that really stresses or emphasizes which particular neurological level that you're referring to. So let's go right ahead and jump into this year. So any time that you're having a conversation with somebody or you are hearing and listening to then talk about a certain situation and they stress certain words, this is how you're going to really understand and look at OK, you know, this statement here is a belief statement. This statement here is an identity statement. So let me walk you through these here when the eyes stressed that statement is about identity, okay, and when can't is stressed, then that is about a belief right? They don't believe that they can accomplish that right. And this is where tonality and really kind of having that sensory acuity, being able to listen to people and really hear them emphasize, you know these words because you know, somebody can, you know, say a particular statement and you know, you can get different meanings from that, depending on how you're interpreting it. So very, very important there to really listen to when people have some kind of self sabotaging statements where they don't believe that Ah, they can do something. And you can really kind of pinpoint You know which one of these it is. Because when you're saying that you can't and you're really emphasizing can't right, we know that that person has a belief, right? And so when they do, it's stressed. Then that means that that person doesn't believe they have the capability. Okay. And then when that is stressed, that is more on the behavior. Okay. And then when Here is stressed, this statement is about environment. So this is so much unwrapped here with these neurological levels and really understanding next time that you're in a conversation, right, understanding that you can really read between the lines and understand. Okay. What is this person really saying here? Okay, they are making a simple statement. Hey, you know I can't do that. Here But, you know, what is it that they're really kind of emphasizing? What are they stressing? Are they really emphasizing? Can't the do that? That's the here, right? Which particular word are they really emphasizing? And this is where you can also ask questions. Asked to what specifically about that, Do they feel is the reason why they wouldn't be able to accomplish this right? And then it will typically fall into one of these different areas identity believe, capability, behavior, environment. So you know you can just like I said, ask the questions. But typically when somebody is talking, they're going to express themselves in a way where they're stressing one of these words out . Now here's some additional statements that really clearly show you which level that they're coming from. So with the identity here, I'm a good manager, right? That person is identifying as a good manager as their identity and then for belief. Getting my MBA has helped me a great deal of my career. They believe that, you know their degree has helped them, you know, in their career, getting new jobs, whatever that may be right. This is a belief, because you can. You know, have somebody that, you know has an m b A. And they can feel otherwise, right? So very important there to understand the distinctions between, you know, really something. Just being a belief versus it being kind of a universal truth. So capability, I have excellent communication skills. You can see this really clearly that this is truly about all capability, their skills, right? So, behavior, I did poorly in my annual review. Okay, Clearly, here we can see this person is talking about their behavior that they did not perform up to par. So this is, you know, really easily looked at as the behavior neurological level. Then we have the environment. I work well with this team. Okay, Now, here's some more statements that we can clearly see also show some sort of neurological level here. So for environment we have, do you need more information about the situation and then behavior? Do you have enough information but do not know exactly what to do? So one of the things that you can do is really start to listen to what people are saying. Like, really read between the lines are people when they're communicating, are there making statements that have to do with the behavior. You know, their environment to their capabilities, their beliefs, their identity, right and often times when somebody's making statements about their identity. Ah, that is something that they kind of see themselves as, and where it's really difficult for them to change that right, because they kind of see themselves as this person, and they can't truly outperform that right when you really look and dissect at what people are saying, you could really understand where they're coming from and you can relate to them easier. So understanding that, you know, beliefs and values is important to somebody. But then you know their behavior and their capabilities may be important to another person , right? And the best way for you to really start to pick this up. It searches, listen in on conversations and listen very intently to what people are saying, what they're actually emphasizing. Are they making certain statements and are the stressing one word of the other? Is it something where you know people are, you know, looking at it from their own beliefs and values, and not necessarily kind of what you know? The objective reality is right, So very, very important here to practice this, to listen intently, to look at the different neurological levels and then really pay attention to where people are coming from. So you give relate to them on a higher level, build more report, and you can really, truly understand where people are coming from, right? That's one of the biggest things that people want. As you know, individuals as humans is to be understood. And when you can understand people and be able to diagnose whether their statement, their communication is coming from one of these different neurological levels, it's gonna make you a better communicator. It's going to allow you to have more success and be able to understand others, but, most importantly, be able to understand yourself. Okay, So utilize this in your own life where you can, you know, listen to what you're saying and really kind of pay attention to the language you use and you don't diagnose yourself. Am I making this statement based on my environment, my beliefs, my identity? Right. Where is this coming from? So that's going to be here for this video, and we'll see you on the next one 15. How To Resolve Conflict With Perceptual Positions: in this video, we're going to talk about perceptual positions now. This is a very powerful, powerful technique here. It's a strategy that you can really use to be able to look at things from several different positions. Okay, because whenever we have a problem, whenever we have some sort of memory or experience that is not serving us in any way or we are feeling stressed or depressed, this is a great way for you to be able to really detach yourself and look at things from multiple, different perspectives and be able to remove your feelings, remove your emotions and look at things really objectively without judgment. So let's go right ahead and jump into this. So with perceptual positions, this is where you are able to look at things from a different perspective. Removing yourself from the situation. You know, let's say that you are in a particular argument and you have a problem with somebody. You being able to remove yourself from that situation, okay, and take a different perspective, just like you're an observer and be able to kind of look at the situation from an outside perspective. Okay, without judgment, you're just observing. You're looking at yourself and you're asking yourself from the observer's standpoint, why am I thinking this way? Why am I feeling this way? Why am I saying these things in the same thing for the other person that you have an argument with, right? You can be looking at it from their perspective. Why air they feeling this way? Why are they saying this right? And so you can really understand both positions and be able to really come to the discussion. Ah, and have a better sense of awareness and better sense of the other side. So you can be, you know, more compassionate. You can be more understanding and really have a sense of direction of where to go, where it makes sense for both parties. So let's talk about the 1st 2 positions. So, with the first position, this is where you know you're looking at things from your own eyes, right? This is your own reality. You're able to give your own perspectives. You're able to look at things from your own point of view, right? Based off of your values. You know your criteria, your beliefs, right. And then the second position is being able to use your imagination and look at the world from another person's perspective. That's why this is so great for problem solving or any kind of conflict resolution, because you can put yourself in the other person's shoes, look at it from their perspective and look to see why and how they're processing information. And you know how their model of the world looks right. This is really the basis of her poor, because once you can really step into the other person's world, you can respect their views or values their beliefs. You can really look to you, build that report and understand them. We're going to get into report later. But this is kind of more of understanding that the second position is where you can get into the other person's perspective and be able to help you understand them better so that you can all come to a win win scenario. Now there's actually three types of second positions, and the 1st 1 is the emotional. This second position is understanding the other person's emotions. Okay, so you don't want to hurt their emotions. You don't want to be able to, you know, step over them. You want to really understand, You know? Why are they feeling this way? Right? Why were they feeling hurt? Or are they feeling mad? Sad, whatever that may be right. Very important for you to be able to understand that. And then intellectual. The second position is the ability to understand how one of the person is thinking. The kind of ideas are the kind of thoughts opinions that they may hold right based on their view of the world. Right? And then the third position. This is where you're stepping outside of your view, okay? And then the other person's view, and then you're I detached perspective. So basically, this is kind of like the mediator, right? You're the person in between the other person and then yourself. And you're kind of looking at those two people just observing, looking at the situation, no judgment, just gathering data. OK, in any situation, you need to know your own position and understand the other person's point of view as well . OK, because you're not going to necessarily agree with them. And you don't have to write. You may, But oftentimes this is used for being able to fix this agreement being able to come to an agreement, right? And be able to, you know, see eye to eye with that other person. This is where you can use this. You know, perception here is faras the first, the second right, and then taking that third position as kind of that mediator because it will help you understand where that person is coming from. Very, very important here. Very important tool to help you in your daily life, but also, if you are deciding to want to work with clients, this is also a way for you to be able to help them understand their own feelings. Why they are feeling a certain way. Why there other person that they may be in an argument with is feeling that way. So very, very powerful tool here to use for yourself and your clients if you choose. So that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one 16. How To Improve Relationships With The Meta Mirror: in this video, we're going to cover the meta mere exercise. Now. This is a very powerful technique here that was developed by Robert Dilts to explore the relationship between one person and another. So just think about any kind of situation where you have a relationship may be with the family member with the friend, and there may be some animosity, some friction there. And you want to explore this further so you can really understand where the other person is coming from, Why they are maybe saying the things they're saying or you know why they're feeling a certain way, so really about conflict resolution in any particular area of your life. So I'm gonna go ahead and walk you through this particular exercise. And so let's get started. I want you to choose a relationship that you want to explore, right? Maybe it's a family member. Maybe it's a friend, somebody that you have some kind of maybe issue with, problem with, whatever that may be. OK, so think about that particular relationship that issue the animosity, whatever that maybe think about it from the first position point of view. Okay, from your own. Now, think about what exactly makes that relationship difficult? What are you thinking and feeling in this relationship? If you feel may be challenged or you feel like you know they're not listening to you, they don't have maybe the best interest at heart for you when that comes up. Is faras you feeling challenged? Think about what neurological level does that challenge seem to come from. Is it? Environment is it's maybe behavior, right? Maybe it's where you work at. Maybe it's at your job. Is it friends? Is it something that you're doing or not doing? OK, do you perhaps feel that your skills and your competence are being a challenge? Do you feel that your beliefs and your values are being challenged? Is it something that you look at or have some kind of perspective on? That may be challenging, right? Do you feel that your identity isn't aligned with who that person thinks you are lying? Maybe they're just pre judging you or judging you on certain behaviors concerned actions that you've been in the past. Okay, is this something where the other person is maybe saying one thing and then conveying in saying something else completely right in their body language because with the body language, that's the majority of our communication. So somebody can have a certain body language and be saying something and totally be incongruent to really take that into account. Now leave your own viewpoints and prepared to look at the situation from a different point of view. Now imagine the situation from the other person's point of view. Okay, from that second position. Now, as the other person, what are you thinking? What are you feeling? How are you seeing yourself in this relationship? How are you reacting? Okay, which neurological level are you concerned about? Does the other person, which is you write in this relationship seem to be concurrent with how they're acting right ? And so the whole goal here is to get you to look at the perspective, right? The outlook, the opinion of somebody else, right? The other person that sure, in conflict with now, when you've truly explored this and you've looked at you know how they're feeling, how they're reacting, all these different things. What you want to do is shake off that second position and come back to yourself in the present moment. Okay? Now take another step into 1/3 position. This is where you are, then a mediator. Okay? You're looking at yourself, and then you're looking at the other person, and then you are stepping out of those, and you're looking at it from just a neutral position. Okay? You're just observing yourself and your observing the other person. And there is no judgment. You're just observing what's going on now. Think to yourself what sort of relationship is this? Is this something where it's a give and take? Is this something where they're both adding value to each other? Eyes is something where there is just, you know, completely one sided. One person feels that they are getting taken advantage of, right? Really? Look at that. And you don't really understand that you want to be in the middle. You don't want to have any kind of a judgments. Any feelings? Just look to see in here what exactly? They're saying what they're thinking and really take an objective perspective on this. Okay? And really think about yourself. Okay. That first person perspective. Think about yourself in this relationship, the role that you play and then how do you feel towards yourself? in this relationship. Okay, Now, once you have some intuitions from that third person position right where you are not judging your just objectively looking at the situation and you're just kind of looking at it from both sides. OK, now what you want to do is take it a step further and step into 1/4 position, OK? From this point of you think about how that third position relates to that first position. Okay. For example, in that third position, were you angry with yourself? Where you just completely distraught were you just, you know, totally upset about the situation. Okay, maybe you're thinking that that first position of yourself, right? Should be more assertive. Should be more inclined to let people know how they truly feel. Because maybe in your first position, you're not letting them know how you truly feel. You're maybe just giving tacit approval. You're just agreeing, but you're not really letting your true feelings be heard. Okay? Now be very clear about how that third position relates to yourself in that first position . OK? Once you get that clarity, come back here to yourself in the here. Now, now, switch around your first position and your third position reactions in the first position, you may feel maybe angry, maybe upset to maybe hurt at the other person. Right? But in the third position, you may feel angry with yourself because you didn't maybe assert yourself or you didn't let your true feelings out right? And let it be heard by that other person. Now switch the reaction and take that anger that's feeling of this straw or that feelings of you not being able to or not letting your true emotions be felt right. Take that feeling to the first position, okay? And be angry with that other person. What is that? Like what has changed? How could this feeling be a resource here? Now visit that second position, OK? And you're probably going to have to listen to this a couple times to really, you know, understand this and go through it a couple of times because this is truly powerful. Now in that second position, how is this relationship different than when you first started in that first position of yourself? Right? Now, finish this off in the hearing. Now in the first position, OK? To where you're currently out presently. now the meta mere. This works extremely well because we're able to mirror our outside relationship on the inside. This is very crucial here for being able to look at, you know, different perspectives and understand where the other person is coming from. And then our response to our own actions is often exactly the resource that we need in the outside world. Okay. Ah, lot of times, you know, we are given that tacit approval to people. We're just agreeing We're not really letting our true feelings out there. And when you take that third position, you're able to really see how you truly feeling and be upset with yourself Almost right. Like, man, why aren't you standing up for yourself? Why aren't you letting your true feelings be heard right? So very, very powerful technique here. As I mentioned, you may want to listen to this a few times, go through it a few times, but extremely extremely powerful, and that's going to be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one 17. How To Easily Build Rapport & Trust: in this video, we're going to talk about report, which is the foundations of relationships. So when it comes to relationships, report is your most important critical component there. Because without having report with somebody without being able to have them know like and trust you, right, you're not going to be able to influence others to get what you want and in any kind of interaction we're always trying to influence persuade, right somebody to either see our point of view, see our perspective, to get them to do something, maybe to buy a product, whatever that may be. So we're going to walk through the foundations of relationships. So when it comes to report, really ask yourself how you relate toe others. How do you relate to yourself? Okay, we create our relationships by what we do and how we think reports a connection or relationship with someone else. This is by being able to understand the other person's point of view by being able to have things you guys were talking about that are similar, that air like, so that they can see you as someone that they want to get to know even more, and that There's some kind of, you know, relationship here being developed, and where this truly happens is at an unconscious level. You may ask her questions to people that gets them to feel a certain emotion and then because they're feeling good, they're feeling that good emotion and you ask them that question. They're not tying that emotion right, that feeling to you. And so then they see you or somebody who is is, you know, similar to them or got them to feel a certain way. Okay, and where report truly comes from is from taking that second position, right? I mentioned being able to really understand the other person's point of view, looking at it from their perspective, not judging not coming in and trying to lay down the law or the hammer and saying, Well, you're wrong because of this, you're wrong and all this stuff right, we don't want to criticize. We don't want to come in and you try to judge. All we're trying to do here is really understand where that person is coming from. Remember, with the particular piece of position where all behavior has a positive intention, right? No matter what it is So when you can understand the other person's perspective without judgment and understand that there's a positive intention behind that right then we can really understand. That report is about being able to look at it from the other person's perspective and not have any kind of judgment simply just becoming aware and looking at it objectively. And these air three specific ways that you can actually build rapport very easily. So simply by when you're having a conversation taking a genuine interest in that other person actually intently listening to them. And you got to think about it from the perspective of the other person. How many times do you know most people, right? Just even think about yourself. How many times do we actually have somebody sit there and truly just sit there and listen to us and acknowledge us and not necessarily judge us? You give us any kind of, you know, doctor or, you know, whatever that may be, where it's maybe challenging our viewpoints or whatever right? We want to be just simply listening, having a genuine interest in that other person, regardless of really what they're talking about, right. But it's just a matter of showing them through our voice inflections through our actions that we're just, you know, have a genuine interest here, you know? And we're not trying to be malicious. We're not trying to judge you is just Hey, I'm genuinely interested in what you have to say and also by being curious about who they are and how they think this is really the most critical component here. Because if you're not able to really understand where that person is coming from, who they truly are and understand, maybe their identity understand, really the neurological levels that are coming to bear here, right there coming into play a Sfar is that individual? Because remember, every single action, every single thing they were doing has a positive intention behind it. So even though their actions maybe from our perspective, malicious or negative, they're doing this to get a positive outcome, right? Some positive intention. So, really Take this to heart used the different techniques that have been taught to you through the like met Amir and the perceptual positions to be able to step into that person's point of view, their way of looking at the world. OK, now, just like report. Trust is built in any kind of relationship. Now we tend to trust people that we believe will not let us down, and this typically comes through. Let's say, for example, where you're actually trying to sell a product or service and you are coming across to that . You know, perspective. Clients like you're confident like there is no single doubt in your mind that you're going to be able to deliver on that product on that service. And so that's a great way to come across and really build that trust. And also you've been able to, you know, through the whole conversation, build that report in the very beginning. But report and trust are two different things you build. Report initially by utilizing various techniques that we're going to cover and then also building trust by coming across as you being totally confident in yourself in your abilities to be able to deliver on whatever kind of result or outcome that you're intending to write or vice versa for the other person as well. And the biggest differences here with report is that reports and investments okay, trust is something that is typically a risk right, because I can be the most confident person in the world, and I can, you know, confidently close a sale. Close a perspective client. However, when it comes to actually delivering on the results, there may be some problems there. There may be some issues, right? And so that is something that can really harm a relationship, right? Even in a personal relationship where, let's say somebody in the relationship cheats on their significant other Well, that is something that is really going to affect them in a negative way, right? The other party And then they're going to have been problems in the future being able to trust. And so it's really important to not just, you know, trust right away. You want to be able to really look at your situation. Look at the options available. Look at your resource is right and look to see if it makes sense here to trust this person because you want to be somewhere in the middle. Because if you're trusting people too much, you're going to eventually get taken advantage of. And if you're not trusting people enough, then you're not really going to expand. You're not really going to be with the take on opportunities that may have tremendous benefit and upside for you, right? So poor the true essence. The true kind of foundational pillar of relationships. OK, so that's gonna be a here for this video, and we'll see on the next one. 18. How To Persuade Others With Pacing & Leading: in this video, we're going to talk about pacing and leading pacing. And leading is a strategy, a technique essentially that you can use to be able to get report but also be able to influence and essentially get people to want to take action on what you have to offer or get people to where they think about things from your perspective. So let's go right ahead and jump into this. So in order to be able to build report and good relationships, we have to be able to understand the strategy, that technique of pacing and leading. And this happens when you're able to enter into the other person's model of the world, right in their terms. Once you've paste another person, you can easily establish, report and show them that you understand where they're coming from, and then you can lead them to either make a decision to maybe change their perspective, change their opinion, right or essentially get them to really do whatever it is that you're trying to accomplish . Right now, one of the ways that you can pace and lead somebody is when you're saying very specific statements that are verifiable, that can be proved okay. So, for example, let's say that I have, you know, three statements that I know I can say to somebody that they can be verified their, you know, potentially true right, and they can essentially go out and find these resource is. But at that president moment, that person is going to take that information is valid. So let me give you an example. So let's say I said others have said X y Z. Most people have mentioned that X and I know that a lot of people like to do Why? So I'm curious. Why is it that you are looking to do or why are you looking to accomplish X Y Z Now notice in that language pattern there? What I did is I made statements of essentially other people, most people and a lot of people. So those statements there are not necessarily specific right? I'm doing that on purpose. I'm pacing, and I'm giving them statements that can be verified that are potentially true that you know , others have experienced. But there's no, like, real specific data behind what I'm saying at that given moment. So what they're doing is they're unconsciously following those statements, and so they're getting almost in a certain trance because they can't dispute what I'm saying, right, and then I do that for a series of times and then I can mention some kind of leading statement that gets them to think or take us or inaction for my benefit. Okay, And that's the whole key here with pacing and leading is when you're able to do things where you can get somebody into trance so that they can be more receptive and more suggestible to what you want them to do. Okay, that's really important here. There's a lot of different ways to pace and lead now that pacing and leading statement that I went through, It's kind of more for like, a sales type of scenario where I am giving them. You know, the statements there that can be verified is true, and then I'm giving them a leading commanding statement that you know will get them to want to take action, right, because if I'm saying that a lot of people have been able to get results, most people get these results and others get these results, and I know that you're going to be able to get these results as well. So when do you want to get started? Right now? Notice how I set that up? I, you know, made those statements just like I mentioned previously. I gave them verifiable, informational type of statements, and then, boom. I led them to the particular decision or the way of thinking that I want them to have Okay , So very, very powerful things you could do there. Now, one of the other things that you can do is pace yourself. This is really important here to really take note and understand where you're coming from. Okay? Just think about a situation where let's say you are, you know, not feeling very well. You got a headache. You're sick, right? Oftentimes, myself, I had been really kind of prone to just, you know, plowed through all the headaches, all these different things. And now I'm really able to just, you know, understand. Okay. How am I feeling? Why am I feeling this way? Maybe I need to take a step away from my work because I tend to be overworking. I tend to overwork sometimes and not get myself in the brakes. And so pains aches, headaches, whatever I tend to kind of like just power through because I got work to get done. But I've been able to take a lot more inventory of how I'm feeling at certain times and be able to kind of pace myself and understand that you know what? There's more to this. I need to really become aware of the patterns into myself. Another technique that you can use to pace and lead is building report through Maring and matching. Okay. Now, when it comes to matching, this is where you are marrying, how another person is standing, how they're actually using their body language, maybe how they're using their vocal tone ality their speed, whatever that may be right. But you're essentially matching how they're actually interacting with world so that that report can be built at an unconscious level. Okay, when you show that you're matching people and you're able to do this at a very covert level , you show the other person and they actually see this or feel this unconsciously right that you're willing to enter into the other person's model of the world. OK, and as I mentioned, they're going to intuitively perceive this and they're going to feel a lot more at ease with you and feel like they actually know you. They like you and they trust you. Okay, So very, very powerful. Now there's three key elements to matching somebody at the behavior level. Okay, that's number one. Body language, number two, voice tone and number three language. So when it comes to, like, body language, Okay, this is where you're actually able to match their breathing patterns, their posture, their gesture, their eye contact. This is typically when you're in front of somebody, okay, but when you're like, let's say on the phone, you can maybe match their breathing pattern. But it's going to be very difficult for you to obviously, you know, match their body language if you're just doing an audio call. But if you're doing like a Skype call or maybe a video call, you can also mirror and match their body language as well. Now voice tone. This is where you can match people. Speed of speech, their volume of speech, their rhythm, right? So just think about it this way. Let's say you're on the phone with somebody from the southern part of the United States. Okay, and there may be talking a little bit slower, a little bit more chill, more calm. And let's say the year from like New York or from the West Coast like Seattle, where we're a little bit more fast paced. OK, then we're going to need to be able to slow down our speech, okay? And be able to really kind of get in sync with that other person right on how they're talking. If they're talking slower, let's match that right. Very, very important there and then language. This is where you could match keywords and phrases. Now, this is super super powerful. When you're trying to sell a product or service or really just in personal relationships, when you can match key phrases keywords that they're using. For example, if they're saying I can see this, I see what you mean. I hear what you're saying. I hear you when you can match how people are seeing the world right. If they're an auditory person, if they're visual person right, they're going to say, I can hear you. If they're saying I can see you right, or I see what you're saying. They're a visual person. And when you can match that, that is extremely powerful because then unconsciously, it's going to register. This person is just like me. I like this person, right, and this is all happening unconsciously, because when you can step into the other person's reality, their view of the world, how they're perceiving how they're taking information, man, that's where you can make this be powerful for you to be able to get to the point, to be able to accomplish anything you want to accomplish and be able to influence and persuade the other person to take action on what you want them to do. Now there are some pacing and leading ethics here. You don't want to use this for the wrong reasons. You always want to look to help people and look to make sure that you're trying to do its best, and you have the other person's best interest at heart Now, looking at it from a more macro point of view, there's a lot of different things that you can do to also match in mirror the other person's neurological levels, right? So what capabilities? This is where you can game report by talking about the same interest. Maybe you guys have a interest in sports or sports teams, right? Or maybe you like to go hunting, fishing, whatever that may be, right. You can match the other person's shared skills and interest, and then we have believes in value. So this is also extremely powerful here when you can build report by respecting and understanding the beliefs and values of another person. Oh, man, this is extremely powerful because you don't have to agree with them, right? You just have to be able to listen intently, listen objectively and not judge right, because you don't know where that person is coming from and when you can really understand that. And just I understand that you know what this person is coming from their own perspective, their own model of the world. I can't judge them because I don't really know who they are. I don't really know their background, their experience, right, so I can just be able to understand where they're coming from, right and with identity, you can gain report by respecting somebody else's core, believes right and values right, like we talked about previously, and pay attention to them as an individual, not as a member of a group. You want to really understand that person. This is where you need to be genuinely interested in who that person is, right in that individual, nobody else, and not then being part of a group or being part of Maybe, let's say they went to a specific college. Ah, and you know, they identify themselves as being part of that college. But really, getting to the core of who this person is and how they see themselves right is what's really going to allow you to build that report at the identity level, right? Who they see themselves to be, who they aspire to be, right, very, very powerful. So that's gonna be a here for this video, and we'll see on the next one. 19. How We Make Sense of The World: in this video, we're going to go over understanding the senses. Now, this is one of the most important sections here because what we're going to be covering here is really how we interpret our reality through our senses. Everything that we're seeing, we're hearing were feeling those air, all kind of filters that we used to attach meaning to our reality. So let's go right ahead and jump into this. So as I mentioned, we pay attention to the outside world, okay? And then we gather information through our five senses. So we have visual. This is what we're seeing, right? Auditory, everything that we're hearing kinesthetic, the feeling, the touching, the old factory smelling the gustatory. This is tasting. So those are essentially the filters that we used to make sense of the outside world. Okay, Now, when it comes to gathering information right and actually making sense of it through our senses, right to the outside world, we can do the same for our internal world. And that's very, very important for us to pay attention to that right and understand how we're feeling, how we're thinking. What are the things that were, you know, seeing that we're hearing inside of our mind so that we can really understand our emotional state. Okay, now, just think about when you meet somebody, right? And you're paying attention to what they're saying. And on the unconscious level, you're actually paying attention to a lot more. Okay, you are prejudging them and you are maybe looking at their body language. This is all done at an unconscious level, and it's pretty much done unknowingly. And then when it's of happening, is you get a certain feeling, okay, you get a certain feeling about this individual, and you just may be prejudged them with what they're wearing, how they're smelling or if it's something where maybe they have, you know, gang related attire or they look, you know, quote unquote thuggish, or like they're looking to cause trouble. Our mind, right unconsciously is going to automatically start prejudging them without us becoming aware. And then we're going to get this feeling come up of, you know, mistrust. And that's what tens that always happened. Our conscious mind is only able to pick up on certain things. Typically, about seven or six things now are unconscious, is able to pick up a significant amount of information. Now some things are missed because, you know, we may be, you know, paying attention more visually or auditory. Lee. I know for myself, I am really, really good with the visuals. I can remember people's faces. I remember kind of what they did, what they were doing, the interactions. But I tend to forget people's names. Okay, if I haven't seen them for a while, I can almost pinpoint. Hey, I know this person from somewhere. I don't remember their name, right? And so you often have kind of a lead representational system, right? The sense that you use more often than not and then with internal attention. This is where you are becoming aware of your feelings and emotions. And this is really important here because we tend to try to block out different feelings and emotions that we don't like. So any kind of negativity, any kind of feelings where we get sick to our stomach or whatever that may be where we have a feeling and it's not very pleasant for us oftentimes will just, you know, shoot that to the side, will put it to the side, and when you can pay conscious attention to that right. You'll be able to understand and appreciate yourself at a deeper level. You'll be able to understand that. You know what I am feeling this certain way right? By pacing yourself. I'm feeling a certain way because I am going through this experience and it's just, you know, it is what it is. Let me just maybe field this experience, let it run through and then move on because a good example of this is let's say that you had had a love one passed away. Unfortunately, okay. And you are in this state of just complete sadness or morning, right. The best way for you to get on with your life, okay? And to actually get over the situation as quickly as possible, it's to go lock yourself in a room, okay and fully experienced that emotion. If you need to spend three or four hours just crying yourself out right and really experiencing that emotion because you are essentially neglecting it. You have this feeling of sadness of morning, and it is there and you're trying to function. But it's hard because it's in the back, your mind, and you still feel it. And so you need to let that emotion go in. The best way, as I mentioned, is to put yourself in a room and you really just experience that. Let that feeling take over your body and let it just run through right, because then it's going to cycle out of your body once you're able to just let it go and release very, very important here because you need to be able to pay attention internally when you're experiencing different feelings, different things that are making you feel a certain way, you need to be able to really pace yourself and stop and think about. Okay, I'm feeling this certain way. What are the reasons? Why am I feeling this way? What are things that I could do so that I can improve how I'm feeling? Okay, so that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one 20. How The 5 Representational Systems Work: in this video, we're going to talk about the representational systems now. These are essentially our systems as faras, the auditory visual kinesthetic, these air, all the senses. But we're really looking at these a little bit more in depth. We're looking at them as systems as a whole, okay? Because each one of them is a complete system and they're certain processes and certain filters that are applied to each one. And I want away. We'll walk you through these here, and so let's go ahead and dive right into this. So remember, when it comes to the senses, we are creating our reality through our see, hear, taste, touch and smell. Right. We are taking that in, and then we're driving meaning and attaching meaning to the actual outside world. So when we can recreate those same sensations in her mind, representing the world to ourselves, using our senses inwardly, then we're able to remember past experiences were able to use imagination, were able to use all these different things that we have at our disposal so we can create new realities for herself. Right? Because we can easily remember how we felt when we were experiencing a certain feeling a certain sensation. We can remember what we were seeing when we were going through an experience, right? And so we can recreate the's in our mind because ultimately, every time that we have some kind of fear or some kind of negative feeling about something right, it's because our mind has recorded a experience through our senses. And then it keeps running back every time that you are in that same situation. You know, a good example of this is if you, you know, grew up and you were looking to talk to the opposite sex and you were always turned down. You were maybe made fun of, and you were able to go to maybe some kind of dance or something like that in school, right? And so then, in your later years, when you become an adult and you're trying to go out in the dating world, those feelings those sensations, what you saw, what you heard are all coming back to you any time you want to go out in the real world and you know integrates into different groups, social settings talk to different people, write, socialize, you're going tohave those same sensations come to your mind whenever you're in those kind of situations. And one of the key things that I really want you to understand here is that all of these systems here are a process. Okay, this is something that we're doing this faras, you know, step one, step two, Step three. So if we can understand kind of that process, what is the, you know, process that we're using or another person is using to get to this feeling or this experience, right? We can use that to our advantage by understanding their process, how they essentially go about getting that sensation, that feeling, and then be able to replace that with a better feeling with a better experience. So you're going to learn a lot of different things through this course for his techniques to be able to do that. So let's get into the kinesthetic system here. This is made up of our internal and external feelings of touch and body awareness. The emotions are also included in the kinesthetic system. Although emotions are slightly different, They are feelings about something now when it comes to emotions. Okay, any kind of emotion that we have, right, Our human experience is really about the response to any type of emotion that we have and the meaning and the kind of attachment that we place to its right. The thing that we need to think about here is that whenever we are experiencing an emotion , we are acting in accordance to that particular motion, right. Most people will follow their emotions as faras if they feel like doing something, if they don't feel like doing something right. And so that's what we're paying attention to and what gets us to act or not act in different situations, really, Just in life in general, if something feels good, we're going to move forward and take action. If something doesn't feel good, then we're not going to. But here's the thing. Sometimes things may not feel good, but maybe the best thing for us. Ah good example of this is maybe starting a business or, you know, wanted to get out of your comfort zone, maybe trying to do something that you've never tried before and knowing that you're not very good at it. But you don't want to see yourself fail, so understanding that your feelings air guiding you on all your decisions on a daily basis will help you become more aware and become aware of your state. Right? Because your state is really about your emotional states. How you're feeling. Okay, the visual system. Now, this is how we create our internal pictures, How we visualize how we daydream. We're imagining different things, right? Were, you know, fantasizing about different things. And so again, this is all the process here that we're running okay and typically will have one that we kind of lean on as far as our primary and then one that is our lead. Okay, we may, you know, taken information through the visual system, and then we may look to and move forward with the auditory system. Okay, So one of the things that you want to keep in mind here is that you don't want to kind of put people in a box where this person over here is a visual person. This person over here is an auditory person because they are all of them is just one of these is just more prevalent, more heavily used in Morley and upon however, some are primary and then some are lead. So very very important that it's understand that difference there and with the auditory system. This is used to listen internally, right when we're talking to ourselves listening to the voices of others. This is really important for us to be able to become aware of our thoughts. Become aware of any kind of negative self talk Any time you're listening to you, you know, different voices in your head that are telling you that you can't do something, that you're not good enough and that you shouldn't mess this up because you know what happened last time. Now what you need to think about when it comes to listen and internally is that those voices are typically going toe have a positive intention for you, right? Remember the presupposition that every action, everything that's done essentially is done with the positive intention. So when that voice is telling you that hey, you're not good enough or you know what? Don't mess this up because you know what happened last time. They're really having a positive intention for you because they don't want you to feel bad , right? They don't want you to feel, you know, left out or you feel like you are getting made fun of or any kind of negativity, right? And so they're protecting you. However, they are essentially doing it in a way that's militias, because they're making you feel bad, right? But they're intention is positive. So very important there for you to be able to understand and listen to yourself and be able to acknowledge and understand that a lot of times you know, these voices in your head that are telling you you can't do something, that you're not very good, they all have positive intentions. And you have to be able to, you know, look at them from that positive state of mind and not really judge that. Okay, what? The olfactory system, this system consists of remembering and creating different smells. Okay, Just think about when your mom or something, or somebody that you know you're close with baked a special pie for you, maybe an apple pie or a pumpkin pie or whatever that may be when you're remembering some kind of food that you like. Or maybe you remember how somebody smelled right? So this is also a very powerful system, but these typically tend to be secondary, okay? And with the gustatory system. This system is made up of remembered and created tastes. Okay, so when you can remember how that juicy steak tasted when you could remember how that pecan pie or that pumpkin pie taste it right, very, very important Here, this goes back always to, you know, different food that you're going to be eating. Now, one of the things that keep in mind is that when we use our representational systems, we're not using them in isolation. Okay, Just like we don't experience the world simply through one sense, right? Think of this as something where we are using our maybe visual system. Okay. And then we're using our auditory system, and then maybe we're going to the olfactory system where we can remember that smell and that experience. You know, the smell of the trees is maybe the smell of the fresh cut grass, right? Whatever that may be, the more that you can recall these types of scenarios experiences and use more representational systems, the better that you're going to be with. Actually, being able to give your experience is the right type of interpretations. Remember, you're always using these, right? And you're using them would one being the primary and the other one being the secondary. So that's gonna be here for this video and we'll see you on the next one. 21. How To Read People With Accessing Cues: in this video, We're going to go over accessing cues now. This is an extreme, important area that you really need to understand, because this is where you're going to be looking at body language and eye patterns and how you can really understand what people are really thinking, how they're thinking, the difference modalities here that involved. So let's get right into this year. Now, if you understand communication, you understand that most of our communication is done nonverbally. So your body language is actually communicating more than what you're actually saying very , very important here. Okay, Now, the representational system that we're using shows itself through our body language in our posture, breathing pattern, voice tone and eye movements. And so these air known as accessing cues. Okay, these are associated using the representational systems and make them easier to access. Now, the language that we use offers clues to which representational system we're using. Ah, good example of this is let's say we're talking about, you know, I I see what you mean. Hey, I see that you understand this. I have a good grasp of this. I totally hear you right. You're using kinesthetic. You're using visual using auditory. And the best way is to really understand what kind of words they're using to describe their experience, right? And so you can see here with this image, we can see that when people are, you know, in the visual auditory or kinesthetic kind of states where they're actually talking in terms of, you know, see here, you know, feel right when we look at the eye movements, the voice and tone tempo. When we look at the breathing, this is going to give us a good indication here, off which modality they're using, right, if we look individual, somebody who's d focused or up to the rights or up to the left. This is letting us note that their eye movements are telling us that the individual person , when it comes to the voice, tone and tempo, they're generally kind of a speaking rapidly, Ah, high, clear voice tone. Okay, and also with breathing. They have a high, shallow breathing in the top part of their chest. So these are different things that you can look for whenever you're trying to spot somebody who's visual, auditory or kinesthetic. Now, like I mentioned, the best way that I like to do it is listening to the words that they're using. Okay, Are they using visual words? Can you see what I'm saying? Do you see what I'm talking about? Do you see what I mean? If they're, you know, talking auditory, they're going to tell you. Can you hear me? Do you hear what I'm saying? Right, So that alone will be able to give you a real distinction there between if their visual auditory kinesthetic. Okay. And then we look at I patterns. Now I patterns is something that is very powerful to look at as well. Ah, some people, when they are, you know, thinking a certain way when they're visualizing when they're utilizing visual constructed images when they're, you know, creating, you know, different images out of thin air, right. Using their imagination, they will have different eye movements. Okay. And you can see here from this image here, looking at it from my own left. Okay, so with the visual constructed images, this is where they're imagining. Okay? The right brain, essentially is what they're using. And then the left brain here. Right? The visual remembered images. This is where they're recalling their memory, the left side of the brain, okay, and so you can see here with the left and the right, it's constructed using their creative side of the brain, or it's remembered using their left side of the brain very, very powerful there. And one of the easiest ways that you contest for accessing cues is to ask the question about a feeling okay, and most people access feelings down to the rights. However, it's not in every single case. If the access their feelings down to their left, then they will tend to have a reverse pattern. Or you also need to think about if that person is right handed or left handed, because it may be the opposite for them if they are left handed right, because everything is switched for them. So a very, very powerful they're accessing cues on being able to look for these. When you're asking people different questions when you're having conversations, we'll give you a great indication as to what type of individual they are as faras there, representational systems that they love to use versus others. So that's going to be here for this video, and we'll see you on the next one 22. How To Create Your Reality With Visualization: in this video, we're going to talk about developing visualization. So visualization is something where we can really see ourselves as how we want ourselves to truly be or really visualizing something that we want in the future. Something that we want tohave or, you know, some sort of change that we would like to see in our lives. Okay, This is where we can really, truly visualize our experience, visualize that experience that we want tohave and be able to really see ourselves as something more than where we're at currently. And what I'm going to do here in this particular lecture is walk you through the developing visualization exercise. Okay, so let's go right ahead and jump in here. What I want you to do is close your eyes and relax your body and look at your mental screen in your mind. Okay. Now describe what you see to yourself. It's probably going to be black. It's probably going to be having some shades of gray whites or even just pure blackness. Okay, now imagine a small black speck in the center of your visual field. OK, make it as black as you can. Now imagine that that black speck is growing like INC. Dropped into a pool of water so that it slowly spreads out from the center and starts to cover your entire mental screen. OK, the blacker that you can get the screen, the better Now if you need to put your hands over your eyes. If this helps, okay? Now open your eyes and look at a nearby object. Then gradually close your eyes because you want to essentially remove your attention from that and disassociate your attention. Okay. Now, as you do this and you close back your eyes, keep a picture of the object in your mental field of vision. It may help to look up to the left even though your eyes are closed. Okay, the eye position helps you to visualize very, very important here. So close your eyes and imagine that the object in front of you is exactly how it was. Okay, what color was an object? See the color as vividly as you can. Now, make your picture even brighter and imagine a spotlight on the object making it stand out more clearly. Now imagine making that objects smaller so it recedes into the distance. Okay, Now, make it zoom up close. Being able to imagine different perspectives is entirely important here. Okay, You need to be able to control your picture by looking at it from different angles. Imagine yourself floating on the ceiling looking down on the object. Now imagine yourself on the floor looking up at the object. Now move the object in your mind and imagine turning it upside down so you can see it from the bottom. Then turn it around so you can see it from the back. If this is difficult to open your eyes and do it to a physical object, if you can, Okay. And then close your eyes and visualize what you've seen. Imagine turning that object inside out and looking at it from the inside. Imagine looking at it from if you're inside that object, okay? And so what this technique here is doing for you, All right? It's really giving you the ability to look at certain situations from multiple different perspectives, just like the perceptual positions. Okay, this is really helping you with your modalities of being able to make things smaller, make things bigger, right? These air called sub modalities, and we're going to get into these in other lectures. Okay. Other sections. However, the sub modalities are essentially where you can make things smaller, make things bigger, make things brighter, right, make things darker, and this is going to help you amplify a certain feeling. Remove a certain of feeling and it's going to help you tremendously with helping yourself and helping others as far as removing any kind of negativity. Ah, and really changing the meanings of things that you've experienced that have brought you any kind of negative feeling any kind of negative experience, right? So this is a very powerful technique here because it's going to help you in prime you for our future sections, where we're talking about the sub modalities and really zooming in, zooming out, adding texture, color, right, different type of kind of perspectives. There, however, understand that this is something that's going to help you out in the future. So that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one 23. How To Become A Better Listener: in this video. We're going to talk about developing your hearing. And so this is another technique here, just like the visualization experience, right? Ah, And it's going to go into where you can really understand the differences between something being loud, being quiet, something coming from across the room, something coming from close to you. So let's go right ahead and jump into this. What I want you to do is close your eyes and make a noise by hitting your fist on your chair. Okay. Now hear that sound again in your mind. Now imagine it again. First louder than softer. Make that sound again if you have difficulty remembering it, Okay? Because what? I want you to pay attention Here, too. Is the loudness and the softness, okay? And how much it's going to increase whether it's, you know, super loud or if it's super quiet and the differences between those two. Okay. Now imagine that sound coming from across the room. Okay. Away from you over there in the corner. Now imagine it from above. You okay then below you. Now imagine a voice of a close friend. Imagine them saying something to you. Okay. Create an image of them and see them opening their mouth and speaking OK, very important here. Next, What I want you to do is imagine your favorite song. Okay? Make it louder. Make it softer. Make it faster. Make it slower. Make it come from different parts of the room. Make it come from above you, below you from the left corner from the right corner. Okay. Make it come from behind you. Right. This is very, very important here for you to be able to understand the sub modalities. Because this is how we are were the experiencing giving meaning through our senses, we are able to look at things from various perspectives. OK, now there are two strategies that can help you hear sounds more clearly in your mind. Number one, visualize others making the sound okay number to imagine yourself playing an instrument. OK? Here. The sound as you do make it an associated picture as if you're really they're looking through your own eyes. Ok, now I would recommend that you go through this a few times so you can really hear this so you can really hear the sounds coming from different places in your room and then making them louder or quieter, softer right, very, very important there to help you with understanding your auditory system. So that's going to be here for this video, and we'll see you on the next one. 24. How To Get In Touch With Your Feelings: in this video, we're going to talk about getting in touch with feelings. So we went over the other different representational systems. Now we're going into the feelings, and this is one of my most favorite here. So let's go right ahead and jump into this when we touch things in our external world, right? That's the most immediate of all the senses. We like to say that seeing is believing. However, for many people, touching makes it actually really right. That's the real that we get to going to see here in the external world. Now NLP helps us to come to our senses, especially through a body awareness. The kinesthetic representational system has three aspects. There is a body awareness, so this is kind of muscle memory. So just think about if you played a sports basketball football right for the longest time, and then you just stopped for years, right? That muscle memory is still there. Your movements right. Your body actions are still there, so it's going to be easier for you to come back in and play basketball and remember how to dribble the ball and shoot the ball on everything right, because it's that muscle memory that doesn't go away. Now, one of the things that I want you to understand is that Ah, and I think I've mentioned this through all out. This course here is that if we're experiencing a bad feeling, we're running a process. We're doing a pattern, right? We're running a pattern in her mind that we have been trained to do right automatically. And one of the things that people tend to do was tense their muscles or tense themselves when you know they're feeling negative over and they have kind of headaches or any kind of chronic pain, right? And so this is the same thing with stored negative emotions in our body, through our muscle tension, right, Our bodies hold, you know, feelings and emotions. And a lot of them that are negative lead us to, you know, stress and physical illness. There have been a lot of cases where people will go to know the doctors, and they will say, Hey, you know, I'm having a sharp pain in my hip. I'm having this pain over here in this muscle and the doctors alike, we don't know what's going on. Everything looks good under you. know the lens. Everything is, you know, looking fine. We don't know what it could be. And what ends up happening is often times people have emotions that are trapped in their body and they need to get released. And then those emotions can get released. And then that pain goes away very, very powerful and very important to become aware of that. And kinesthetic awareness is really being able to understand and decipher whether or not you know, our feelings of pain or negativity or any kind of certain feeling if that's really a real feeling that we're having, or is it at ST that were in because of our environment? So this really helps us to understand what those feelings mean. Okay, so kinesthetic awareness is extremely powerful, and it's something that you're going to learn throughout this course. Now, Aspect number two is a sense of touch touches our most basic way of human occasion. It begins when we're Children. The living touch of our parents tell us that the world is going to be a friendly place. You know, the more sensitive we are to feelings in touch on the inside, the more that we're going to be on the outside as well. No, there were some studies that I remember where I saw this. However, they were talking about that when Children were first born, they were neglected and they didn't have the touch in the loving kind of touch from their mother. And so they grew up and they weren't fully developed because that touch that sense of touch and feeling from their mother is crucial for that baby in the first, you know, three or four years very, very important to feel that love in that touch from that mother. Okay, so the sense of touch is just crucially important. Critically important here. Okay. And then we have emotions. Now, emotions are feelings about other feelings or experiences being aware of your emotions, of being able to feel them out and be and report with yourself and pacing yourself. Okay, Now emotions could be overwhelming. Yet we know them because we create them through our physiology through our biochemistry. And it's in response to what we see, hear and feel. And a lot of times what happens is we will fear an emotion because we have never really felt it properly or haven't really experienced it properly, right? It's just something that is unknown to us. This can be with getting out of our comfort zone and wanting to maybe start an online business or work for ourselves. Its defeat of the unknown. And what ends up happening is that most people are afraid of the fear of the unknown versus the actual fear of that particular unknown, right? So it's like they're almost just afraid of being afraid versus being afraid of that thing, right? It's kinda hard to explain. What I want you to really understand is that people will create all these different scenarios, will create the whole false expectations. Appearing riel scenario in their mind Now. One of the things to keep in mind is that as you become more sensitive to your emotions and two years, mental states right into your actual feeling states, you'll find that there's value in all your emotions right, regardless of the ones that you even think that or even negative right, because it's all about attaching meaning okay, you may feel quote unquote a negative feeling, However, that negative feeling can get translated into a positive kind of scenario. Outlook simply by looking at it from a different perspective, right? And we're going to get into reframing here in the later lectures and later sections. But emotions air not good or bad. They are useful in certain situations. So that's kind of how I want you to look at emotions that they're not good. They're not bad. They're useful and certain situations. OK, so that's gonna be here for this video, and we'll see on the next one. 25. How To Develop Your Kinesthetic Awareness: in this video, we're going to go over developing kinesthetic awareness. Now, this is another exercise here that it's going to help you develop that awareness and really help you get a better understanding of how you can use this. So let's go right ahead and jump into this. Okay? Now, you can do this exercise here any time, okay? It's going to help you get grounded. Make you aware of your feelings of touch and body awareness. Okay? It's going to help you get a strong first position and then connect with your values. OK, so let's go right ahead. And I want to show you how this works. Okay? So become aware of your body without judgment. How would your body look? If you were to freeze in that position, would you look strange? Which parts of your body or tense now feel the connection between all the parts of your body? Which part feels at ease in which part feels uncomfortable now Fuel your body's touching other objects such as a chair. Now, be aware of those clothes on your skin. How do they feel? Ok, is a soft is its rough. Okay, Now ask yourself what in my feeling right now. What am I doing right now? What am I thinking right now and then ask yourself, What do I want right now? What are the values that I want to express? What is important to me right now? How does what I'm doing? Help me achieve that. Ask yourself. What am I doing right now that prevents me from getting what I want. Next, make a choice. Say to yourself, I choose to do X. Okay. Now, this exercise here is extremely great for being able to overcome certain challenge confronting a certain problem, you know, making a difficult decision. Right? And we all have a lead representational system. A lead representational system is a system that we used to retrieve information from memory that we use primarily. Now, a good example of this is if we're trying to go on a vacation, we're first going to think about that visual memory and think about how great that was right or how not Great, that was right. And so in this case, the visual is the lead system. Now, the lead system may be the same as a preferred okay, or it may not be and maybe that the lead representational system is visual. And then we have a preferred in the auditory or it could be vice versa. Right? And you can tell the person's lead system by watching their I access in queues. Remember, we went through this and one of the other lectures. And a good example of this is if you ask somebody about their vacation, okay, and then they come back and make the visual access where they're retrieving the information and its visual right. And then they tell you about the enjoyable, experiencing, enjoyable time using a lot of kinesthetic language. So that will tell you that that person is, you know, the lead representational system with them is visual, and then the preferred is can aesthetic. Now it's not the best practice for you to describe people as simply being visual, auditory or kinesthetic, because we all have all of these systems that we're using right, and it's just preferences and capabilities, right? That's all that we want to really look at in this type of situation, so that we're not just labeling somebody as visual or auditory, whatever that may be. Okay, so that's gonna be here for this video and we'll see you on the next one 26. How To Translate Representational Systems: in this video, we're going to cover translating representational systems when we're translating representational systems. This is where we're taking an idea or a concept, and we're expressing its any different system. In a very simple example of this is like a metaphor. Just think about different metaphors, how they really help you. I understand different concepts, different ideas. Ah, lot more clearly right. And so let's go right ahead and jump into this. So we talked about the representational systems and being able to translate them right? As a simple idea into maybe a metaphor. Now, with metaphors, this is something that really goes to the unconscious mind. This is how it really helps us to understand very complex subjects. And they're essentially taken as true, these types of statements. Right? When you say a statement like stuff like a turkey, right? Obviously, when you're physically stuffing a turkey, you're preparing it for a meal, right? You're preparing it to get cooked. But you can really understand that meaning and the understanding of that particular statement right where you are stuff you are full. You can no longer eat anymore because you are fully stuff, right. And then the example here with comfortable as a warm blankets, right? So you just really giving people the idea and the understanding that this is what I'm really meaning? Another great metaphor is there's plenty of fish in the sea, And so, depending on the context that you're using that, for the most part you're using that type of metaphor to explain relationships. Where Let's say you have recently broke up with your significant other right and you have a friend or you can even tell this seat herself right and reframe that meaning to where you tell yourself, Hey, there's plenty of fish in the sea. I don't need to be worried about this one because I know that I can go out and find me another one because there's, you know, an over abundance of available. You know, people out there that I can, you know, talk to and connect with so very, very powerful as far as being able to translate different representational systems in two different areas and metaphors like I mentioned, is one of the most powerful. And if you look at this picture to the right here, this really gives a great example how when you are essentially translating different meanings. Okay, and they change kind of visual modality, right? Let's say you're saying something and it's a visual right And the other person's primary representational system is auditory right? Then they're not going to fully be on board with that, even though you're saying the same thing, right? And so thinking about some sort of disagreement that you may have right with somebody where you guys were saying the same thing except one person is expressing it in one particular modality versus the other. Right? So looking at this picture here to the right, we can see that when somebody is saying it's not clear yet, Okay? And another person is saying I can't tell this is right or I don't have a handle on that idea. They're all pretty much expressing kind of the same ideas rain in the same concepts. However, the other people are expressing them in their own unique way so far is their own, you know, modality. Now here's an example of a individual particular manager at an organization, OK, and they're talking mostly can aesthetically okay, And the second is talking visually so very, very important here that they're both agreeing on what they're saying right? But the words are essentially just getting in the way of the communication. So let's go over this example here. I can't grasp your point about the Accounts Department, okay? And so this person here is talking in the kinesthetic form and then another person saying, Look, it's perfectly clear We need to see what's happening with the report first before we decide . Well, I'm uncomfortable with that approach. Let's sit down with Mike and knock it out. Person a person you see here how you know, they're both essentially comm
