What we are going to be creating in this project: in this project, you will learn how to create this flat looking office office space and there's quite a lot going on here. I mean, there's quite a lot of elements to be created. And usually when I go when I designed things like that, I start with the most prominent and the pieces in the design. So in this case, I guess I would start. Well, usually I would start with that with the computer with the lamp, maybe the speakers. But I thought that in this case, well, in the case of this done this design, we could to take a different approach. So instead of just creating thes elements, I think we should start. Well, we could start with them with the background. So first, we're going to create this wallpaper, and then we're going to create the shelf, and we're going to put some paint on the wall down here, and we're going to create the table with the shading. And after that, we're going to put some things on the wall. So we're going to start with the window and we're gonna create the clouds, the reflections, of course, the window itself, Then we are going to create the picture and maybe let me just zoom in a bit and we're going to create the nail, the cord and of course, the frame itself. And as you can see, I've put on this a deserted island. Things deserted Island Design way created in another project. And after that, we're going to create the clock, and the clock is a really, really flat designers. I is actually looks of reverie and Scandinavian. I guess I could say it's it's really minimal. So we're going to create that. Then we are going to move on to the folders and we're going to put them on the shelf. We're going to create the red, the green and the blue folder right here. And after that, I guess we are going to move to well to the table. We're going to start putting things on the table. But before that, I just know it is that we still need to put the flower on our on our well shelf underneath them the window. And to tell you the truth, we are going to have a lot of fun with creating the flower. We're going to learn some, some really nice techniques to create this kind of a flat looking flower. So that's next. And after that, we are going to really move to the table. So we're going to create the lamp and we're going to use some Pan told some transformations some awesome ellipse will, well, an ellipse tool. We're going to create some ellipsis, and after that, we're going to create the speakers. And if you think that they look a bit like the logic computer speakers, well, you are right, cause they were my inspiration. I just think they they look really original. And they go really went well with this with this whole design concept. So after that, we are going to create the computer. So we're going to create, will, monitor and understand the base. And of course, we're going to add some some content here on the screen. So it just doesn't look that sad and so plain. And after that, we're going to create the Mogg that you can see right here. They're going to create the steam as well, and we're going Teoh, finish the design with the WiFi router down down here. So all in all quite a lot to cover, but I think that in the process you learn some really nice techniques. And I think that creating this kind of designs is really a good incentive to learn real in the different techniques to create flat design, flat designer pieces of artwork and one more thing before we actually start to creating our our elements. I got a lot of a lot of swatches color swatches, color groups in my swatches panel. So I am going to be referring to them quite a lot. And of course, you don't have to use the same color swatches that I went for. You can use your own colors watches, but just remember to remain inside the flat design color color schemes. Okay, now that we know what we're going to cover in this in this project, let's actually start designing. So in the next video we're going to create, we are going to create the background. Let me just show it to you one more time. We're going to create the Bagram. We are going to use some some some path and bath dividing a here with the wallpaper. And so while some simply rectangles here with the shelf and the table, so that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching 3. Class Project: for this class project. It would be great if you wanted to share your flat design office space. And I really advise you to work along with me because you will learn fantastic techniques along the way. And, of course, you can have some fun with the colors as long as they remain with the flat design theme. So if you decide to maybe, like, give this wallpaper some different colors or maybe maybe the lamp or the content inside the computer, you are encouraged to experiment with the colors. But remember to stay with them the flat design, a flat designer theme and let me show you two Web sites where you can find where you confined to the flat designer colors, the two off the websites that I tend to use the most. What I'm searching for a flat design colors are called flat your eye color picker and flat colors that net. So in this this on this site you can see all these tabs right here with different colors, hats, so if you simply click on any of them, you can get different a different color swatches who right here and all you would really need to simply click and drag to select any of these coasts because thes are actually hacks coats. And if you simply copied, you can then paste that into the color picker inside illustrator. But these colors watches can be sometimes quite limited. I mean, you won't find like brown colors. For instance, in the swatches, you will find them here in the flat colors dot net. And really, all you would need to do right here is to simply click on any of these colors and you can see that the hex code is already copied into your clipboard. But it will be copied along with the along with this hash tag right here. So you can simply drag around this this coat and simply copied into your clipboard just like that. So again, I highly advise you toe work along with me to actually learn all the techniques that I'm showing in this in this project. But police try to stay within the flat design color themes, but of course you can. You can experiment with maybe some tents or maybe some shades, but try to keep them in them in the flat design theme 4. Set up the workspace: if you want to follow along with me, it would be great if you decided Teoh have the same tools open as I do in my workspace. And to tell you the truth, there's not that many new tools that we are going to be using that you won't find in the essentials the workspace. But there's actually a few 12 maybe three tours that we are going to be to be using and that I'd like you to have open. So let's go to the window tab and let's click on the Align Tab right here and in this group I do not going to be using in that transform panel. So I'm simply going to close it. We can have. We will mostly have all the all the transform options in our control panel, so we don't actually need this panel right here. I am, however, going to be using the Pathfinder tool. So along with the ally, until I'm simply going to Doctors group in my panels right here and in the align panel. I I think I want to show the options just so I have all the options as I go now, there's actually one more tool that you could use, and that's optional. But it can come quite handy when you're working with the like, multiple elements in your design, maybe multiple art boards. And that tool is called the Navigator. And if we find it in our window panel, where window tab. Let me just let me move to this to this. To this some document you can see that we have that we have our art boards here displayed in our in our window, and we have all our all our Let me just make me make it bigger so you can see everything better. And we have all our elements of our design being displayed in our in our aren't put that right now we can see on Lee the elements that are being constrained to the art of boards. Who would go when we go to the options panel? And I'm simply going to de select this view Art board conference only. I get all my all my elements inside my documents with the with the Navigator. Tulleken, simply quickly find piece of the piece off the design that I am actually interested in, and I can simply and I can simply find it in the in the Navigator panel like that. So this is an option if you want. If you want to go along, if you want 20 used this Navigator panel, just go ahead. I'll leave it up to you. But I would like it to have the Pathfinder and the aligned panels the tools capped handy in your in your workspace. So when you are ready to save your workspace simply, let's go. Go ahead and do that in the workspace switcher. Add, Let's call it maybe flat designed just like that and now we are actually ready to start designing, so let's do that. 5. Flat Design: Wallpaper, shelf and the table: this. You don't You're going to start creating the background. But before we do that, I just wanted to point out something. I put all of them. All the layers were all the all the elements onto a separate, separate layer. Just so it's eso it's what will my work? My layers panel is a bit better organized. And before we actually start to designing, let me just create another art board really real quick. So I'm gonna move to of the art abort tool, my tools panel, and I'm gonna collect this This icon right here that says Newark board and I am actually going to create two on our board. So I'm gonna first create this our boat right here. And then again, I'm going to click on this button. I'm gonna create an art board somewhere here. And the reason I am doing this is because I want to create the background on this are birth this guy right here and that I want I wanna create my elements here on this art board and then put them over this, put them over the background. I just think that it's gonna be easier for you to to see everything on your screens, and he's gonna be easier for you to follow along. Now that we have the art awards created, we can actually start to create in our and our background right here. So I think I'm gonna create a new layer for that. So I'm simply going to in the layers panel old or option. If you're on a Mac, click on the create you layer button and I'm simply going to name it background just like that. And in order to create these these direct angles thes vertical rectangles, I think that it's best to simply create them with split into grid have function. So I'm just gonna create a simple rectangle that is going to span across my old, the whole artwork. So I'm going to create it just like that and maybe let me zoom in. No, I want to give it to a nice collar. So I'm gonna make it this darker blue. And actually, this is the color off these darker stripes right here and all we really need to do Let me just so manner and all we really need to do is so with this guy. Select it. We need to go to the object menu path and then split into grid just like that. And all you guys who are familiar with my other videos. You probably are familiar with this tool as well. Basically, what it does is it splits any object that you select it into rows and columns. So in my case, all in it is the columns. So I'm just gonna increase the value to something like 25. And I you probably can see illustrated dividing this rectangle into smaller pieces because the world they are all in the same color. But if I just increased the cut of value, you can actually see that there are rectangles being created, and I am I'm not fooling you. But of course, I don't need the Ghadir, so I'm gonna go with zero value right here, OK? So as you can see, we got separate separate rectangles right here, and I guess you will see them better if I just to turn the preview mode on. And you can do that easy by pressing the control. Why? Or command why on a Mac and really all we need to do is to select every other every other rectangle right here. So I am going to click on every other rectangle and off course I'm holding down, holding down the shift key to do that. So I'm clicking on every every every other rectangle just like that and for mine from my swatches panel. I'm simply going to go to click this lighter, lighter Swatch. And of course you can't see anything change because we are in the preview mode. But it's soon in the outline mode. But as soon as I turned my preview mode on, you couldn't see that we created. We created our our wallpaper just like that, and it took us literally, like maybe two minutes or maybe, maybe, maybe even know that. So the next thing to do would be to create, but it's made create the shelves right here. So that's really easy. All we need to do is to simply create a modest rectangle that's gonna be something like that, and I'm gonna give it some nice brown color. Maybe this color, just like so Now let me just referred to the origin. Also, we got the shelf. I think it has to be a bit darker, Judging by the originals is gonna be darker. So the next thing to do would be to Well, maybe let's paint the wall. That's let's create this this blue rectangle right here. So again, with the rectangle tool, let me just make sure that I'm on the proper layer. As you can see, I am not on the proper layer. So I'm going to I'm going to lock this guy, okay? Everything else should looks fine. So with the rectangle tool, I'm simply going to create a nice A nice a rectangle that that's going to span across Caracas, the art port. So is something like that. This will be fine. Of course, we can adjust it later on and it's gonna have some darker blue core. Maybe this guy like that, okay. And if we now just take a look at the original, you can see that the last thing to do really here is to create the table and the table is basically just a bunch of simply rectangles. So I'm gonna with the rectangle to create one that's going to spend across maybe from somewhere here to somewhere here, just like that is gonna have a proper color. This lighter brown this time I've just seen the original. Yeah, that should be fine at what we need to do right now is we need to create the legs off the table and this kind of a base right here and the shading as well. So again, with the round with the rectangle tool with the rectangle tool, I am simply going to create a lag. That's gonna be something like this. And I think it's gonna be darker. Maybe maybe this color just like so. And then I'm going to move it, and I'm gonna hold on their shipping on the old keys together. I'm gonna move to somewhere here to clone it to the right just like that. And of course, I need to create this this base right here. So the rectangle told him, simply go to span across across this arbor just like that. Okay, this should be fine. And really, the last thing to do is to create this shading right here. And we could do that both ways. I mean, well, in different ways, actually, if you want, you can go with the spit into grid option to simply divine. There's got into two equal and equal parts and then just give give the upper one proper color, different color. But this that I'm simply going to copy this guy into my clipboard with the control C command. And then I'm gonna base it in front of the control of command just like that. And the only thing to do is to simply make it just a bit smaller, just like that. Make it darker like, well, really dark, like black. And I think I'm gonna drop the opacity down to, let's say, 50%. Yeah, 50% should be fine. And there we go. This is how we can create our our basis, our background for our for our desire. And we just make it bring in tow this, uh, self a bit down. So we created the background. We created the wallpaper with the rectangle that we split there was split into grid. We added the different colors to our world paper. We added the shelf and then we added the the the paint on them on the wall, then created the table with the legs and the shading effect right here. So in the next video, we are going to start putting the things on the wall and we're going to create the window first, So if that's something that you're interested in, keep watching. 6. Flat Design: Window: now that we have our base create that we can move on to creating a the elements of our office space. And as mentioned in the previous video, we're going to start with the window. So I'm gonna move to the other art board, toe my art port right here, and I think I'm gonna create in your layer for the for my for my window, and I'm simply going to name it. Well, window, let's be original. Yeah, I'm gonna name it Window. I think I'm gonna lock the background just like that. And when we revert, when we refer to the to the original images Semana, we can see that we have, like, a bunch of rectangles right here as well. But we have some around it rectangle right here. That is the knob. And we got the clout. So we're going to create the window, the reflection and the clouds in this in this video. So let me just move, move on to the my art board and we're going to start again with a simple rectangle. So I'm going to create it with the rectangle tool, and I think it should be something like this. They should be fine. I'm going to give it a proper color. Some from my color swatches from this color group. I'm going to select this light blue color just like that. And again, I think I'm gonna go to the object, my new path and split into grid to create to equal columns that actually are going to be different, different parts of the window because right now what I want to do is I want to create we'll add the frame to my windows. So I'm simply going to increase the stroke value to something around, maybe even 10 points. And of course, I wanted to be lighter, so I'm gonna make it wide. I know that you probably won't be able to see right now because it's white against white, But you gotta You gotta trust me that it is there you can actually see now that that it is there. Now that I have the window the base of the window created, I want to start adding well, the rest of the elements. So I'm gonna create another nicer rectangle that is gonna be our shelf here in the bottom. Let me just make it. Maybe something like that off course. I wanted to have a proper, proper filled colors. I'm gonna make it this great color. And I don't want to have any feel just like that. And then I'm going to bring it over, bring it up to somewhere here. So I'm holding down the shift in the old keys together, just like so. And now I want to be sure assure that these guys are aligned properly, so in other to align them in one go. I'm simply going to make the group or group these d boat, both these guys just like that, I'm going to select them all. And here in the align panel panel, I'm going to make sure that I have my aligned to selection turned on. And I'm gonna hit this horizontal line center just like that, just to be sure that everything is aligning properly. So what I want to do right now is they want to add to their reflections and then knob. So in order to add the reflections, all we really need to do is to simply grab the line segment tool and I'm gonna press. Well, I'm gonna hold down the shift key to make the this this line to be to be drawn in 45 degree angle. So I'm simply gonna hold down the shift key and release it when I'm happy with the length of the line. Something like that. Of course it has just the stroke and the stroke weight is one point. So another two duplicated. All we really need to do is to simply grab it, hold down the shift key and the ultra keys together and brilliant over somewhere here. And since I want this guy to be, well, significantly bigger, I need to make it bigger. So I'm gonna initialize the scale told by President the asking and then answer or my keyboard. Now let me just preview this guy and let's actually see what one of 50 is gonna is gonna look like. That's not even gonna be enough. So I'm gonna make get bigger to something like maybe 1 90%. It should be fine. And of course, since we have the skills, strokes and effects option checked, we are actually scaling up, scaling our stroke as well. And either want that I want the stroke to be just one point like this, like the smaller a smaller reflection right here. So the last thing to do here before we move on to the clouds here in the back is to create the knob. So let me just let me just zoom in real quick, just like that, and I'm going to create it with the rounded rectangle tool. Some simply gonna create that, make it something like that. This should be fine. I don't want to have any stroke, and I won't fail to be Grey. Something like that. And I'm gonna create an ellipse here in the bottom. So I'm gonna initialize the Ellipse still, by pressing the Al key on the keyboard and I'm simply going to create in the lives that is going to be something like So now I will group these guys. I'm going to select both of them Hit control G. And and there we go. We got the knob created. And of course, if we just zoom back out, I think that we should put it somewhere here in the middle. Something like that. This should be fine. And there we go. We got the window created. And, of course, the last thing to do here will be to create the clouds as we can see as we can see her in the original regard. The clouds right here and after we are down with the clouds will be able to put our window here onto our onto our well background. So I think that we are going to do all that. We are going to create the clouds in the in the next video and we are going to put the own will the finished window onto the background in the next video. Because in this video we we covered quite a lot. We created the windows, remember, we created the rectangle, split it into, have and then added, added the reflections at it the colors and thes thes elements here. Yeah, as well. So in the next video, we're going to create the clouds and we are goingto bring the whole whole window onto our background and position it properly 7. Flat Design: Clouds: in this video, we're going to create the clouds, and then we are goingto bring everything over onto our background to reposition everything and align everything properly. So in order to create the clouds, all we really need to do is to simply grab the Ellipse stool. But first, let me just zoom in really close so you can see everything better. So I'm gonna grab the Ellipse tool and notice that I have the white filled selected and I have no stroke and I'm gonna click somewhere here and hold down the shift key to simply create in the lips. Something like that should be fine. Now what I need to do, they need to simply move it to the right to somewhere here And by the way, holding down the bulky Teoh clone into the right because that's what I want to do it one to clone it to the right and I want to make it smaller. And I'm holding down the shift key as well to constrain the purport proportions and the thing that should be fine. Now what I want to do is I want to select both these guys. I'm going to go to the bath finder tool. And I'm simply going to unite all of the well, both both these ellipses. And if we take a closer, closer, closer Look at this at this cloud, you can see that we have this like a spike right here, and I don't want it. I want this this bottom to be flat. So really, all we need to do is to simply with the direct selection tool that you can initialize by pressing the A key on the keyboard. By the way, you can simply click on this ankle point right here and notice that as soon as I did that, my my control panel changed and it's now given me. And given the options that go with the with my selection and in this case since I selected the anchor point Hey, I can I can manipulate it with these functions. But really, all in all I want to do here is I want to get rid of it. So I'm simply going to click remove selected anchor points. And as you can see, we got rid off that anchor point, which which gave us this flat, flat, flat bottom like that. So this one a cloud. This is one of club, but just saying For the sake of variety, I am going to create two different ones, but I'm gonna create them in a very similar way. So let me just zoom in somewhere here neighborhood, which is amount bit so again I am going to create and their lips and it's gonna be something like that. I wanted to have white film and I don't want to have any stroke. Maybe let's move to the right and I want to color cloning two times. So first, I'm going to clone it to the right, and then I'm going to clone it to the left to maybe somewhere here. And I wanted both of these this left and this right ellipse to have different, different dimensions. So I'm simply going to bring this guy down to something like that, and I'm gonna make this guy smaller than my first lips, but bigger than my last Ellipse. So it looks something like that. And again, I'm simply going to select all these guys, go to the Pathfinder tool and unite them and again with the with the direct selection tool . I'm simply going to hit this anchor point shift Click on this bottom anchor point and then shift click on this anchor point and again in my in my control panel. I'm simply going to remove these guys just like that. So I have a cloud that that is looking, looking really flat designing, looking something like that. And just for the sake of variety, I'm simply going to bring this guy summer here to the right and reflected to using their reflect all some. Simply going to initialize it by pressing the okay on the keyboard. Then enter. And I want my reflection to be vertical. And I'm simply gonna hit okay, just like that. No, old man maybe will play around too, with size of these clouds. So I'm gonna make this guy but smaller. Maybe this guy, just if it's smaller as well, and put it somewhere here just like that. So there we go. Weak at the window, created. All we really need to do is to simply select all these guys group them. Yeah, I'm still in the proper Later. I just needed needed to check that. And what we can do right now is we can simply bring it over. I was still on the proper on the window layer. By the way, I'm gonna bring it over somewhere here, I'm going to make it significantly smaller and maybe put it somewhere here. But now let me just make it just a bit bigger. Something like that. And I can see that I got these gaps right here, right between these gray of bars and my window. So in order to target a an element inside a group, all we really need to do is to simply grab it with the direct selection tool. So I'm going to click on the stop one, and I'm simply gonna bring it down. Just one step. And I'm simply gonna do the same with this. Guys, I'm gonna bring it up just like that. Maybe one more time. Yes, this should be fine. So there we go week out the window created. I think it was easy. And I hope you I hope you like the process. So we created the window using really simple techniques so quickly created this main well shape with that with the rectangle tool that we divided into two parts. We added these bars right here the knob, the reflections and we just created that the clouds using the Pathfinder and the Ellipse toe well, really easily. So in the next video, we are going to move on to our next piece off our office equipment. Let's let's call it like that. And the next piece is this this with this picture? That this picture frame right here. So we're gonna do that in the next video? 8. Let's start creating a flat design picture: in this video, we're going to create that picture The well, the picture frame first on this guy right here. So we're going to create this frame that we are going to create this nail and the court, and of course, we're going to put a picture inside. So let's start. And I think I'm going to start with creating a new layer. So first I'm gonna lock the window layer, and then I'm going to create a new layer, and I'm simply going to call it picture just like that. Okay, So to start, all we really need to do a system is to initialize the rectangle told by pressing the M key on the keyboard. And I'm simply going to create, erect and go something like that should be fine. And of course, I wanted to have a stroke, but I don't want to have a filled, so I'm gonna get rid of the field, and I'm gonna make sure that the film is the right collar. So here I got my color group that is called a picture. So I'm gonna go with this latter brown color and the picture with Let's see, let's see. 10 maybe even more than that, let's go with 20. Should be fine. Okay, that's that. That's super easy. Right now, The bigger challenge. Let me just go back to the to the to the original art board. So the biggest challenge would be to create thes shading effects or these indentations. Now, you might be tempted to simply grab the panto. All that changes a man, grab the panel and try to find the right the right angle. Try to try to make it just make a Dr Brown try to make it look right. But then maybe expanded and try to make maybe clip it or something like that. Or maybe even tried Teoh, like, remove some anchor points. But I think that that's not really the way I'm gonna show you. What I believe is a quicker way to create elements like that. And we are going to create a simple line. I'm gonna go to the line segment tool, but before But before that, I think we're gonna need to expand this guy cause I want to be because I want to be sure that I am creating my line from an anchor point to an ankle point And since my my my my friend has on Lee the stroke. I can't really see these Thies to anchor points this guy and this guy right here. So I'm going to go to the object. I'm gonna go expand and expanding. It will actually allow us to created the final effect that we are looking for. But that's going to come here. Come in a second. So I'm just going to create a simple line. And I wanted to have a I wanted to have a stroke and I don't want it to have a Phil I'm gonna make get this darker collard, the soccer boom brown. And I'm gonna go from this anchor point to this anchor point just like that, and I'm gonna make it bigger, Something like maybe not 10 but maybe five or six points should be fine. Now, what I want to do is I want to reflect this guy to the right, and then I want to reflect those two guys to the bottom. But the challenge here is to find the spot where we were our reference spot in the reference to we would have to reflect our our line. So when we simply initialize the reflector. We can see that we have actually no reference indicator. No, no, no central point. Nothing like that. Of course we could simply grap three guides and put them here well before we actually started the creation process. But I want to show you a different technique. Here's how you can and how you can handle, reflect and things well and finding the right of the center spot in which you want the reflection to take place to. So I'm simply going to grab this this frame right here and I'm gonna dio one thing. I'm going to go to the object Manu path and I'm gonna add anchor points. And the reason I am doing this is because, well, this thing, this function is actually adding a set off anchor points. It's actually adding an anchor point right in the middle between two existing anchor points . So, in my case, since I had four anchor points, I had one to three and four ankle point Illustrator added four anchor points between these anchor points so you can see Let me just so many real quick. You can see that we have anchor points right here and right here. And these anchor points are actually in the middle. Between this anchor point and this ankle point, I know I am talking a lot about ankle points, but it's quite important here because right now, let me just maybe make it just a bit bigger, just like that. This would be fine. And let me just make it five. So right now what we can do is with this guy selected, I can initialize the reflect tool and now I can actually find as you can see, I can find an anchor point. You can see that illustrate is tell me that this this right here is the anger part. So if I now just all to click on it or option click on it. If you're on a Mac and I make the reflection vertical, you can see that I am actually reflecting it beautifully, beautifully to the right and right in the spot where I wanted. So we define our simply press copy. Just like that, I now got to two lines to two Indians that created to just like that. So now if I simply add to my selection, I select both these guys again initialized the reflect all. And now I find the anchor point There is this guy right here and now all click on it. I did. I want this reflection to be horizontal and I want to hit Copy. You can see that. I got all these guys, all these lines, all these lines created. But of course, they don't look all that good. I mean, they are sticking out off the frame. So this is something that we're going to We're going to take care off in the next deal. So in this video, we created the frame we created of them thes lines, thes Indians. But most of all, we learned how to handle reflecting objects when we have no reference. In fact, we learned how to create a reference point in the four ourselves. So in the next video, we're going Teoh, take this. This design one step, What will one level one level up and we're going to create the nail, the court? And at that picture 9. Let's add the image: in this video we're going to we're going to take care off. These lines were going toe ad of the nail, the court, and we're going to put a picture inside. So in order for this technique that I'm showing you two work well, to keep working properly, what we need is willing to select all these guys we could We could leave them as strokes, But I just I just I don't want any any nasty surprises later around in the process. So what I want to do is I want to select all these guys, go to the object menu and simply go with the expand function, because right now I want to the exchange the filled with the stroke. So I want these guys to have a stroke and I don't want them to have any, and I don't want them to have any film. So what I want to do now is I want to make sure that they are not like sticking out I out of my frame. So I'm going to select my friend I and I'm going to copy it into my clipboard. I'm gonna press control. See, now I'm going to select all these guys some shift clicking on them and I'm gonna go with control effort or command f if you are on the Mac to paste everything in front and actually in front, in place and in front of my lines. So I'm simply going to shift click on them right now. So I have my newly pasted frame selected and thes thes lines as well. So what I really need to done right now is to simply clip them so I could go with the Control seven shortcut. Or I could go to the object Manu clipping mask. And I'm simply going to click make just like that. And there you go. We got them in dance, created. So all that's left to do now is to simply create the nail. So I'm gonna grab the ellipse stool, make sure that I'm in the center and I am going to create a nail. It's gonna look something like that. And I wanted to have a darker Phil. So it's gonna be this guy right here and to create the court. All we really need to do is to simply create a rectangle, some simply going to initialize the rectangle told by President the M key on the keyboard. And I'm going to simply create it, create direct angle that is gonna look something like that. And what I want to do right now is they want to simply exchange the filled with stroke and make the stroke bigger to see. 10 points, maybe just a bit smaller. Let's see seven points. And what I want to do right now is I want to simply rotated from holding down the shift key , clicking on it and rotating it just like that. And not what I put it over somewhere here. I can see what, Mike, What my court is going to look like eventually. Let me just bring it down just a bit too. Maybe somewhere here, this should be fine. And of course I don't need this bottom part right, So I simply I'm simply going to select it with the direct selection toe click on it to simply Well, I'm gonna select this bottom anchor point and I'm simply going to delete it, just like so Now, The last part to do here, of course, is still a zoo. We can, as we take a closer look right here is this Simply position everything nicely. But before I do that, I think I'm going to again expand this guy just to give a day filled. I don't want to have any stroke, so I'm simply going to make sure that these guys are aligned properly. Some in the align panel. I'm simply gonna make sure that I have the align to selection option turned on. And I'm simply going to make sure that they are being aligned properly. So off course, I want these, Well, this court to go behind my frame. So, actually, I'm going to group these guys and put them all the way to the back by pressing the control plus shift plus a boot left bracket on my keyboard, which is the same as going to the object menu arrange and sent to back just like so And no , I'm going to bring it maybe one or two steps down just like that and let me zoom out. And there we go. We got our our picture frame created. So now let me just quickly grab the with my well, the picture that I actually want in my in my in my frame So I'll see you back in the sack. Okay, so I am back with my with my mood, my picture right here, this deserted island flat design picture. And if you don't know how to create it And if if you didn't see the courts where I show you what I show you how to create this this island, well, then go ahead and take a look at it because it's it's really fun. So to finish our frame off, what we need to do is we need to simply position at the position, our pictures somewhere here in the metal just like that. And of course, we need to make sure that it's actually filling up the entire frame. So what I'm gonna do is I'm simply going to make this guy bigger, just like that does. Should be fine. But of course, right now we need Teoh. We need to clip it so it's simply stays inside our inside our frame. So So what? This guy, I was simply going to cut it some going ago with the Control X or my keyboard, and I'm gonna create a rectangle that is gonna be actually clipping my my my island So from this anchor point, I'm going to create Iraq tangle that goes span that the goes to this anchor point and what I want to do right now, since this guy will be my clipping a clipping path. So with this guy selected, what I want to do right now is I want to baste my my island behind it. So what we could do is we could simply go to the edit menu and then just go with based on back or better yet, use controlled the shortcut, So I have no my my island pasted in back. So now if I simply add to my selection my my blue wrecked and go some simply going to shift , click on it and then go the control seven shortcut. I'm simply going to clip it and make my make my will picture sit inside of my frame really , really nicely. So the last thing to do here would be to simply group all these guys, Let me just Zuma's amount of it. Of course, it has to be significantly smaller, and I am simply going to bring it over my wall just like that. Let me just zoom in a bit and maybe make just a bit smaller. And there we go. We got our and we got our A frame will frame with that with the picture in it created. So there we go. This is how you can create a frame how you can will put a picture in it. And I hope you I hope you like toe like this video and learn toe quite quite a lot. In the next video, we are going to create yet another element that we are going to put on the wall. And this is going to be our our clock that we can see right here, and we are going to make it really Scandinavian fled design. So that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching. 10. Flat design: Let's start creating the clock: in this video, We're going to create the clock on the wall and this is this guy right here. And to tell you the truth, when I was creating it, I couldn't decide if I like the light version better or the dark version birth. So I think we are going to create both and you are going to decide which versus you like better. Okay, so of course I think that I'm gonna look at the picture layer and I'm going to create a new layer that I am going to name Clock just like that at the main shape in our clock is off course, an ellipse, some going to initialize it by present the l key on the keyboard. And I am simply going to create in the lives, and it's gonna be a large one until it looks something like that. Now, in this will to create a this clock, we are going to use Well, I am going to use the appearance panel quite a lot. We could simply create different ellipses. But I just wanna I want to expand your port for your your skill set portfolio. So we're going to go to to the appearance panel. And as you can see, we got the stroke and the fill right here. What we need to do? Well, first, we need toe to duplicate this strokes. I'm simply going to create a will. Add new stroke like that And an important step for this whole technique to work is that we need to align all these strokes to to to insights on simply clicking on this blue link lets a stroke. And here in the Alliance stroke panel, I'm simply going to go with the align stroke to inside just like that. And I'm gonna do the same with the other stroke aligned to stroke inside. And we are going toe increase their value. So this guy's going to be maybe, like, 10 points, and this guy's going to be 10 points as well. Ultimately, we are going toe to decrease this top guy right now, but I just want you to to simply understand what we're doing right here. So we are. We are making these strokes taker so you can see that we are. It, of course, is being applied live to our to our ellipse. So right now I think I'm going to start adding proper colors. So I'm gonna change the fill color with this. I'm gonna give it this the light. Great collar, just like that. Now this Let's go into this bottom stroke. The this middle guy right here is gonna remain as 10. But I'm going to change it to this darker blue collar just like that. And this, this stroke, that the stop guy, I'm gonna change it to this dark great. And I'm now I'm going to decrease its size just like that. And you can see that this bottom stroke is Well, we are starting to see this bottom stroke. And the reason we are we're doing it like that is that this bottom struck is actually right now. Well, acting like like it's some kind of a shading effect just like that. So we are. We are bringing some depth. We are We are making it. It looked like Like it. It's a shadow. Okay, so now that we have all these guys created, what I want to do right now is I want to mark the centers centers sport off my clock to start at in their hands, so I could simply a copy and paste it in front. Make it small. But I want to do it in a different way. I am simply going to duplicate my fail just like this. I'm going to bring in some, going to click on it and simply bring over this duplicate selected I come item I can and this top Phil is gonna have a different color. So I'm gonna make it this dark, dark blue. And right now, of course, I don't want t be covering Oh my In all my clock Some with this with this FX icon I'm simply going to click on it, Go to distort and transform And I'm gonna go with transform Let me just hit the preview And all I really need to do is to make it smaller. Some simply gonna check 5% is fine and yet 5% will be fine. And now, if I simply go to the preview mode Well, to the outline one, we are in the preview mode. We consider we actually have just 11 circle right here. So it's easier for illustrator toe handled to process everything and it uh, it looks just more professional. Okay, so the last thing to do here would be to simply add their hands, right. So I think that this is something that we are going to do in the next view. And in the next year, we're going to make this guy darker. So you can You can decide which which which version you want to go with. 11. Flat design: Clock Hands and Markers: in this video, we are going to create the hands and we are going toe added the hour markers and then we're going Teoh, make this guy look well. We're going to change the colors. So So the clock looks darker, so I don't know if you noticed, but when When the watchmakers or watcher sellers are presenting the watches, they usually sat the hands like they are indicating, like, it's something like the town of past 10. Like so the hands look like kind of like it like a V shape. They form a V shape. So if you want Teoh, if we want to recreate that, all we really need to do is to simply grab the rectangle, it'll and create Iraq tangle. That is gonna be something like that. This should be final. I don't want to have any any, Phil. I wanted to have a stroke just like that. And really, all we need to do right now is to simply let me maybe just get a little crook. I'm getting a closer. All we need to do is to simply with the direct selection toe. Select this stop anchor point right here and simply deleted just like that. And if I know if I know just simply put it over my over my watch for a little right here. I can see that. That the smart guys, I show me the center spot. Rely. Right now all I need to do is to simply rotated. I'm going to read rotated by this anchor point. So I'm simply room activating the rotate tool by pressing the R key on the keyboard. And I instantly going to collect on this on this anchor point and rotated by 45 degrees just like that. And if you want to go with the with the hands that are this fake and this thick, well, then go ahead. You can do that. I think I'm going to make them thinner to something like so this should be fine. And if you want, you can make them bigger. So let's just grab this scale tool and, of course, impressing the asking on the keyboard. And again, I'm going toe ultimate on this anchor point and let me just check maybe, maybe 130% should be fine. And of course, if you don't want to, if you don't want it to be bigger, simply unchecked. The scale, strokes and effects the function. And I'm simply gonna hit okay, just like that. And there Go recreated the hands in a matter of just a just a few. Um, well, maybe not a few seconds. My didn't take us long. Now it's at the hour markers. So again, with that with the rectangle toe, I'm simply going to create a rectangle just like that. And I'm gonna hold down the old key to start my started creation process from center. And maybe you know what? I think I'm going to create one. I don't want it to have any any stroke. I just wanted to have heavy Phil, But since I don't like how big it is, I'm simply gonna go to the transformer option. I'm going Teoh unchecked. This this link right here. And I wanted to be maybe, like, three pixels wide, something like that, and let me just let me just go. One want to step one step back. So again, with this guy selected, I'm going to go to transform panel. And I really want to make sure that I might my select my reference point set through the middle. And now I can actually make this guy in, like, maybe three points and maybe six points. Get that should be fine. So I'm going to bring a just a bit up to somewhere here. I'm going to select it. I'm gonna initialize the rotate, told by President the R key on the keyboard, and I am going to find this center spot right here, and I'm going toe old click on it. And I'm simply going to type in 3 60 by for because I want four markers in total and I'm gonna hit the tab key, and then I'm just gonna hit copy and then control the and control D And there we go. We got the markers created, and actually, we got the clock created, but I promised you to create a lighter version of it. So this is what we're going to do right now. Let me just make this guy smaller, just of it, just like that. So I'm simply going to select it all and clone it to the right. And since we have well, since we used the appearance panel quite a lot. All we really need to do is to go to the appearance panel and change these values right here. So this film is actually going to be this light guy just like that? This guy is going to be darker. Maybe this guy just like so. Of course I need to make sure that my handles have the proper color. My hands have the proper color as well. So I'm going to choose. Maybe this guy just like that. Same is going to go for the markers, so I'm simply going to shift click on them. I need to find them somewhere here. There they are. And I'm gonna make them light just like that. And there we go. We got we got to this. Well, we got that. We got to watch the dark version created just like that. So, really, all we would need to do is to simply grabbed a watch. Well, the clock bring it over our wall, make it significantly smaller, and there we go. We got it on the wall right where we want it. And I'm simply going to make these guys smaller, just like that. And there we go. This is this is our our watch. Created so in the next video. We're going to create them and the folders, and we're going to put them on this shelf shelf right here. So I hope you liked what we did to how we created the clock. How used that the appearance panel to mainly Tomalin creator create the clock, how we how we cloned the films and the strokes, how we played with them and how we created the hands using the rectangle toe A zay said in the next year, we're going to create these folders. Let me just show them to you these folders So there's gonna be a lot off a lot off rounded rectangles, some ellipses, some rectangle tool as well. So that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching. 12. Flat design: Folder: in this video, we're going to create the folders that we can see in our original. So thes are these guys right here? So we're going to be using some surrounded rectangles, some ellipses, a lot of Fracked angles, All I know, fairly easy, easy shapes to do so. So, yeah, so let's get to it. So my my art board, I think I'm going to create a new layer. I'm gonna lock of the clock layer, lock the clock layer. Yeah, saying that five times fast. Look, look, look, layer. Okay, so in this letter, this later I'm gonna name folders just like that. And I'm gonna create my first folder with the rounded rectangle tool, and I'm gonna make it look something like that. And by the way, if you if you press the right on the left arrow keys when you are holding down holding down the mouse button when you're creating the rounded rectangle, you can actually manipulate the roundness of the off the corners by making them well rounded to the max or around it to, well, not rounded. It looks like a simple, simple rectangle. Of course, you can press the up arrow or down arrow keys as well. And if you are on a cc version of illustrator, you can actually you take advantage of something that is called live life Corners. Or you can you can download toe free scripts to make illustrator before Sisi actually, and 1/2 this life corner in a life corner function as well. So if you are ready with the roundness off the corners, a lot of talking about the roundness of the corners simply let go of the mouse as I'm doing right now and I'm gonna be referring quite a lot to the original. So So please don't mind if I just take a look from time to time at this and my original folders. So what I need right now is they simply need an ellipse, and I'm going to initialize the Ellipse till they present the AL Key on the keyboard. And I'm simply gonna press through the shift and the Maltese together to start creating it from this the center point like so. And I think it's gonna be something like that. I'm gonna bring it a bit down at what I need right now is some simple rectangle, some simply with the rectangle tool and I activated by pressing the and Kandic keyboard. I'm gonna create direct and gold. Something like that, Maybe, but bigger. This would be fine. Let me just align all these guys to dissenter, just like So Now I'm gonna bring this guy down and put it somewhere here. I'm gonna cologne it to clone it down. So impressing on the altar key as well, and I am going to extend it to maybe somewhere here off course I wanted to have, like, a one point stroke, So let me just decrease it. And I'm gonna just clone this guy down as well to somewhere here, and this should be fine. Now, in order to make sure that these guys are, well that the distance between them is the same, I'm gonna go to the align panel as well. And I'm going to simply hit, distribute objects vertically to the center, just like that, to make sure that they are aligned properly. And the last thing to do here is again with direct angle told simply create a three rectangles. That would be nothing. That should be fine. Hamburger disc along these guys down, just like so some just pressing. Let me just do it again for you. Some simply presser clicking on it, holding down the shift in the old keys together to clone them and to clone Is the guy down And really, all we need to do simply press the control de or command diferente Mac to simply duplicate our last transformation and which waas clothing and moving at the same time. So all you really need to do, right? Nice to simply grab this folder and again duplicate all these guys to the right and I'm gonna make it. There's this clone one. I'm gonna make it snapped to the original one. And again, I am simply going to press the control d on my keyboard. So when we take a look at the original, we can see that actually, a lot of these elements are pretty much this thing. I mean, they have the same collars that the only difference is between the covers of these folders , right? So there's red, green and blue. So we're going to start a coloring our folders in the next in the next video. So in this video created the main shapes off the folders so we created them with the rounded rectangles. Then we added the ellipsis and some rectangles as well down down here. And as I said in the next year, we're going to start coloring them, so stay tuned. 13. Let's add the colors: this year, we are going to start coloring our our folders. And as we as we already know, most of these elements have half the same colors. So I'm simply going to select first my ellipsis. I'm simply shift clicking on them. I'm gonna go to my swatches panel and in here I got this this color swatch group gold folders. And they have, like, a dark fill. This is this dark blue field and their stroke is Let me just make it white just like that. Now, these guys thes thes stickers. I believe all these guys are Well, they don't have any stroke. They only have a bluish Phil, I think. Yeah, I got that right. And now what I want to do is I want to call her thes thes lines off tax right here. Will these representations off lines of text. So I'm simply going to select all these guys. So I'm simply going to shift click on them just like that. Of course, they don't need any stroke. They only need this this light grey field just like that. And these elements thes labels are actually going to be this, like, really off off white color and they won't have any stroke just like that. And now all we need to do is to simply give this guy and proper color. Of course, again, it doesn't need any stroke. And I believe it was It was Blue. Exactly. So I'm on the right toe, right? A color swatch group on this guy's gonna be blue. This guy's gonna be green and it won't have any stroke. And this guy is going to be to be read. I know that I am not really showing you everything what I'm doing, because I simply want wannabe. I want to take a look at what color is coming next here, but I'm simply But I'm going to show you all the folders just in just a second. So this guy's red just like that. If you want, you can simply increase the value of the stroke right here to make it look something like that. And I think it looks really, really nice. Okay, so old it's left to do is to simply maybe make them just a bit smaller. I'm gonna group these guys and I'm going goingto bring them over our our our shelf. I've got a position that summer here, maybe move it a bit to the right. Just like that. Let me see what it looks like. I think it looks really, really nice. Okay, so there you go. We got the folders created. And as you can see, our world is starting to look really nice. We got the window, We've got the picture. We got the clock and we got the folders. So in the next video, we are going to create the flower. We are not going to move to the table. I thought we would be who would be moving to the table. But I forgot that we still have to create the flour and we are going to have a lot of fun with creating the flower. So that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching. 14. Let's create the petals: in this. We don't. We're going to create this flower. This guy right here and in the process, we are going to use some really nice, some really nice techniques. And actually, we're going to use one technique that we used when, when creating this deserted I desert island. A flat design. So all of you have seen that that video? Well, you will. I don't want to say that it will be easier for you to understand. Well, maybe a bit. It will be easier for you to understand, but all of you haven't seen that video. Don't worry. You'll be able to follow along. Just justice. Easy. So let's say let's actually had to the proper art boards. I'm gonna I'm gonna double click on this hardboard, and I'm going to create a new layer as usual, and I'm gonna call it flower Flour. And I don't want it to be like I don't like this color. I'm gonna go with maybe Brick Red. Why not? Okay, so the first thing that we are going to dio just go back to the flower are these battles right here? So to start creating them, all we need is to grab the ellipse, Still some activated, and by presently, Alky and I'm simply going to create in the lips that's gonna look something like that. This should be fine. Now I want to convert this ellipse into something that would look like a like a map marker you can sometimes see on the Web. And so I wanted to have a like a spike here in the bottom and that z gonna be extended to the bottom. So that's as easy is simply grabbing the convert ankle point toward, sits under the Panter while in the panto group. This guy right here and I'm simply gonna let me just maybe zoom in a bit. So I'm simply going to click on this and on this anchor point just like that. Now I'm gonna go. I'm gonna grab the direct selection tool, and I'm gonna click and drag on this guy. I'm gonna hold them to shift key to drag it to something like that. This should be fine now there is there is no right or wrong here. Actually, you can You can drag it a sfar to the bottom as you want or is close to the top as you want , you will all. You will all depend on how you want your your paddle toe to look like ultimately. So now that I have this shape created, all I need is eyeing. I need to divide it into two halves because in the original, the left and on the right side off the pedal have different colors. So I'm simply going to activate the line segment told by pressing the backspace key on the backslash key on the keyboard. And I'm going to create a line holding down the shift key that goes through my through my paddle just like that. Okay, so now I'm gonna grab all of these guys. I want to make sure that all of these guys are selected. I'm going to go to the bath Fighter tool and simply press that divide option just like that , to have two separate parts off the pedal. And I don't want it to be a group. And this is this is quite an important step to take at this stage of the design. So I want to UN group, it's I'm gonna press control shift the G on my keyboard, our command shift G four iMac and I'm gonna get rid of the of the stroke. And I think I'm gonna add colors right now. So I'm gonna go to my to my flowers from a flower color swatch group, and the left guy is gonna have this lighter blue collar and the right guy he's gonna have this darker blue color, the color just like that. I'm gonna make them just of its smaller and maybe zoom out a bit. And what I want to do right now is I want to, of course, rotate them and and copy them at the same time. And we already know how to do that. So I'm gonna go to the rotate to, and I'm gonna simply alta click on this bottom anchor point. And it depends on Well, it depends on you. How many panels you want to you want to have? Ultimately, I don't want it to. I don't want the number to be too big, so I'm simply gonna go with 3 60 and I'm gonna divide the job. Let's say by 12 and I'm simply gonna go, I'm gonna hit copy. And now all we need to do is to simply press the controlled the or command de on the keyboard, which would be the same as going to the object menu transform and then transform again. Some gonna press it just a few times, just like that. And as you can see, we got a bit of a problem here. I mean, this paddle right here, this guy right here is, um Well, it's not looking well with the rest of the guys. Well, that's because it's simply on top off this tack. But there's there's really a very simple, simple solution to that. But to tell you the truth, I think it took me an hour to figure it out myself. So the fact that we ungroomed our paddle earlier in the process is really well is gonna pay off right now because all we need to do is to simply initialize the direct selection tool. So I just did that by pressing the A key on the keyboard, and I'm simply gonna breast on this left part of this pedal, and I'm simply gonna move it all the way to the back by pressing the control shift and left bracket on my keyboard. There will be command shift left bracket on your keyboard. And as you can see, we moved on Lee, this guy to the to the bottom of the stack. And now our flower is looking really, really, really nice. Now, what we can do is we can add this this middle part off the flower, not a flower specialist, So I don't I know the technical term of it. I do, however, know how to create that in illustrator. So I'm simply gonna initialize that the Ellipse tool by prison, the al key on the keyboard. And I'm gonna find this ankle point right here. Maybe let me just zoom in a bit. I'm gonna find this anchor point that it's actually in the middle of my my flowers. I'm simply going toa alta click and hold on the shift key and make the Ellipse something like that. This should be fine. And I'm gonna give it this nice yellow color and I'm gonna add kind of like a shading here to the bottom, so that's as easiest. Simply cologne it somewhere to the left and to the top as well. So maybe I'm gonna move it to somewhere here, and I think I'm gonna make it just a bit bigger, just like that. And I'm gonna move ever so slightly up somewhere here and now I'm gonna grab both these guys So this that this bigger l lips and this smaller lips if I can just grab properly. Okay, so I got one that maybe maybe just Well, here's here's a quick little tricky you might want to use when working with Illustrator. If you have difficulties with selecting like like, I have some some objects right here. All I do is to simply go to the outline mode and in the outline mode, just zoom in. You can see. But better where actually your path is. So I'm going to select the this, the smaller L lives and this bigger ellipse, and I'm gonna go back to the to the preview mode and in the Pathfinder tool again, I'm gonna hit divide just like that and I'm gonna with the direct selection toe click on this guy on this top part right here. So initialized red selection will be present. The a key. We're going to click on it deleted. And now I'm gonna press this bottom and bottom a path right here, and I'm gonna make it. I'm gonna make it this darker. Well, this actually this orange color just like that. And there we go. We gapped the main part of our flower of our flower created. We create the paddles with the ellipse. Till then, we transformed it a bit with the convert anchor Point Tool will move that converted anchor point to the bottom and then rotated thes guys and copied them at the same time. We move. Remember this this part of the panel to the bottom of the stack. So it looks so everything looks nicely. And just now we created this this middle part two to finish this shape of the flower. So in the next video, we're going to create the leaves and the stem. So all you all of you guys have seen my dessert on a desert island video. Well, you are going to You're gonna know what's what's about to happen in the next step. But all you others don't worry. You'll be able to follow on Justin just as easy. So let's do that in the next video 15. Add the stem and the leaves: in this video, we're going to create the stem and leaves off our flower. I think I'm going to start with this time. So I'm simply with the director with the rectangle tool. I'm going to create a stem. That's gonna look something like that. This should be fine. I'm gonna move it. I'm gonna position it in the center in relation to the flower. And if we take a look of the original, we actually have. We actually have to zoom in a bit. We have two colors. We have, like a lighter green on the left and darker green on the right. So let me just go. Let me just go back to to the art board the proper art board. So what we could do is we could again just to select this guy. Maybe. Let's make it just a bit smaller, just a bit just like that. And I'm gonna go to the object menu bath, and again, I'm going to split this guy integrate. I'm just gonna need two columns, just like so. Of course I don't need any strokes. I'm going to get rid of it. And as far as the left part goes I'm gonna make it. Maybe this lighter green and this guy is going to be this darker green just like that. Now I can group them, group them back, So I'm gonna press the control German keyboard. Of course, I have both these guys selected, and I'm gonna create a group out of these guys as well. So I'm gonna grope them by President the control g with all these guys select. And I did all that because I simply want to just go to the align her power, and I want to align them to the center. And I want to move this guy up to summer here and I will bring it all the way to the back, move it all the way to the back by going to the object menu, arrange and sent to back, just like so. Now, in order to create believes that we're going to put on the right and on the left, all we need to do is again grab the Ellipse tool. Some present the l key on the keyboard, and maybe I'll have moved the flower to the left. So I'm going to simply create on the lips that is going to look something like that. And I'm gonna again initialize her to convert Angry point told by present a shift see on my keyboard. And this is this guy right here that says in the mental group. So I'm gonna press. I'm going to click on this right anchor point to convert it and this left ankle point to convert it as well. Let me just zoom in a bit at what I want to do right now is I want to simply copy this guy and paste it in front. So again, I'm gonna go with control C Control F. Of course. I need to make sure that I have the whole the path of the whole this like an eye shaped selected I'm gonna go control C control F and on a Mac could go Commander C command after copy and paste it in front. And what I want to do right now is I want to simply make it smaller in relation to the center, through the center point. So I'm simply going to grab it by this top top anchor and I'm gonna bring it down and I'm gonna hold down the old key as well to make it actually transform in relation to its CenterPoint soon, maybe something like that at what I want to do right now is they want to copy this guy and base it in front as well. So I copied this smaller, a smaller, smaller I shape to my clipboard and paste it in front. And what I want to do right now is I want to will do the same as do the same thing as I did toe with the bigger, bigger I shape. So I'm simply going to hold on the gulke and simply make it smaller to summer here, something like that. So all in all we got will. In the end, we got three different three different three different eye shapes, as so way we have to do right now is simply to go to the Pathfinder tool and just hit divide again. So I'm gonna go on group All these guys I'm gonna press control, shift glass G and which is, by the way, is the same as going to the object menu and go in on a group just like that. And I don't need all these bottom parts, so I'm gonna delete them. I need Onley thes thes guys right here. So the stock part is gonna be this lighter green, and this bottom Ron is gonna be this darker green. Okay, so let me zoom back out. And really only need to do is to simply bring this guy somewhere here and maybe rotated. So now what I will do they will simply rotate this guy. So I'm simply gonna move it, Maybe to somewhere here, I'm gonna initialize the rotator by pressing the R key on the keyboard. And I'm gonna collect summer here of this anchor point. And I'm simply gonna bring it up to be something like that. And I'm going to move it all the way to the back by pressing by President, that control shipped a left bracket on my keyboard. So it looks something like so. And of course, if you want you can you can play around with this leave. I mean, you can try to make it smaller, maybe try to reposition and play around with the With the rotate value, it's all really up to you. I mean, I just want you to to learn the technique, and I don't the final effect. I want to leave up to your imagination. So now that I have this guy created, I'm simply going to reflect it and copied at the same time. So the reflective active, which I activated by pressing the okay on the keyboard and simply gonna click on this bottom anchor point Ulta click actually on it. And of course, I wanted this reflection to be vertical, some simply going to hit copy just like that. And I think I'm gonna make it smaller. But if I just started making start making smaller like that, it's some It's gonna look OK, but I don't wanna I don't want to go that that much, so I'm simply going to make it. This should be fine. I guess we could be playing along with it, playing around with it for quite a long time. We could spend a whole afternoon trying to make it right, trying to make it look at the way, as as we want. And they really do actually encourage you to to do it because, you know, is this how you could get a good at this stuff? But by simply trying new things, laying around with some of values from transformations and things like that. So we got a sweet concede got the flower created when I was stuck in. I simply created the flower. So all that's left to do here is to simply create the flowerpot, but But I think that that's something we're going to in the next in the next video. 16. Let's create the flower pot: in this video, we're going to create the flowerpot and creating It is really super easy and super fun. So I'm going to start with creating a simpler, rounded rectangle. So I'm gonna grab it from my tools panel and I am simply gone. Create around the rectangle that is gonna look something like it weaken. You can always adjust it adjusted later. I think I'm gonna start adding colors a zai go. So I'm gonna make it. I'm gonna make I'm gonna give it this color just like that and maybe I will move a just a bit up. Let's just zoom in a bit, just a bit up to somewhere here. That's gonna be too much to somewhere here. And the next thing to do is to simply create a creative rectangle and then transform it a bit. Something simply gonna grab the rectangle tool. And maybe I'm going to create a rectangle that is gonna look something, something like that. Maybe something like this. This would be fine. But first, when we take a look to your original, we can see that that this ship is actually well, it's not not another rectangle now, not not a square, it actually has, like a wider, wider top part and a narrower bottom part. Let me just go back. So what I want to do right now that me maybe just make this guy a bit a bit smaller. So what I want to do right now is they want to move these two anchor points further away from each other, so that's as simple. It's simply in selecting them with a direct selection tool, Elden and playing around with scale toe. But before we do that, let me just answer isolation boat with this rectangle right here something they're going to double click on it. And now I'm gonna grab them. The direct selection told that I'm simply gonna marquis around these Stop to anchor points . I'm gonna initialize the scale toe told by President, ask you then enter on my keyboard and you can see as we increase the scale value. Of course. Ah, this transformation is uniform. We are actually moving the anchor points of further away from each other, so I think 1 30 should be fine. And I'm just gonna hit ok and then escape from from this isolation mode. The last thing to do would be to simply at this shading effect here and here on top of the top of the flower pot eso that's as easy as simply creating another rectangle. So the rectangle toe I'm simply gonna create Director. Glad is gonna look something like that. This would be fine. And I'm gonna give it some darker color. Mom think I'm gonna just give it a plain black color color, actually, but of course I don't want to to to look anything like that, I would actually want to clip it. So again, I'm gonna click on this this bottom bottom rectangle. I'm gonna call Pete into my clipboard by pressing the control see on my keyboard. But I just I don't want to simply base it in front just like that, because if I now place it in front, I would simply based it in front of this rectangle. And I want to place it in front of this. This shading a rectangle. So I'm going to select it. That's an important step. I'm going to select it. And now I'm going to actually face it in front And by pressing by pressing the and the control after combination on my keyboard. And what I want to do right now is I want to simply simply click will shift click on this on this black rectangle right here, and I'm going to simply go control seven on my keyboard. And if you want to leave the state in effect just like that, if you're okay with the fact that is bean so eso, like, so prominent, like this shading is really you. It can it can go on notice. Well, then just go ahead. But I think that I'm gonna I'm gonna make it a bit softer. So in order to do that, I'm going to simply going to click on it with my my selection tool. And as you can see here in the control panel I got, I got this clip group options. And if I simply click on this added contents, the added contents, I can now add it. My my shading shading rectangle. But really, all I want to do is I want to simply decrease its capacity to 50% or maybe even smaller, maybe 20% just like that. And there we go. We got our shading effect created. Of course, if you want. You can simply make this guy just a bit smaller, make the flower just a bit smaller and then bring it. Bring it to bring it down. Something like that. And all we really need to do is to simply. But I'm gonna group all these guys and I am going to move it onto my onto my into my window . Some gonna make it significantly smaller and put it on the window. Summer here and there we go. We got we got the flower created and we put it on the window. So in the process of creating the flour, we use quite a lot of interest in techniques. We used some converted converted, the anchor points way created leaves by using the Pathfinder and some simple converting, converting anchor points and we used We also learned how to add it to contents inside, inside a clipping, a clicking mask. So in the next video, we are actually going to move to the table, and we are going to start adding a pieces off them off the office inventory onto our table , and we're going to start with the lamp. So that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching 17. Let's start creating the lamp: in this video, we're going to start putting putting inventory onto our onto our table and we are going to start with the left and we're going to create this lamp right here now to create this lamp . Well, it's really not. Not a difficult, not difficult process to create the land were going to use a lot off ellipsis to some panto and maybe a bit of a rounded rectangle told So So let's get to it. Let's actually go to the proper art board and I'm going to create a proper layer for that. I mean, we just lock the flower flower layer, and I'm going to create layer that I'm going to name Lamp just like that. And we are going to start with this simple ellipse. So I'm gonna initialize it by pressing the l key on the keyboard. And I'm simply going to create an ellipse that is gonna be something like that. This would be fine. Of course. What I need is, I need a Well, actually, I have a lips. So with the with the direct selection tool, I am going to simply marquis around this bottom anchor point, and I'm gonna simply hit delete just like that. But doing that actually made my made my half ellipse an open path which you can see in them in the preview preview when the outline of you, actually which which can accessible person to control. Why combination on your keyboard? And I don't want that. I wanted to be a close to bath, some simply going to go to the object menu path and I'm going to go join. But I would advise you to to use the control J shortcut. And right now, when I go to the outline mode, you can see that we actually have a close to close to bath and it's 1/2 circle. I think I'm gonna start adding colors. I think I'm gonna give this a nice, nice baler red color. And now I needed another lips. So again, I'm gonna create it, and I'm gonna put it somewhere here. So I'm initializing theological by pressing the l key on the keyboard and I'm creating in the lips and I'm holding down the ultimate shift keys together to start creating it from the center and to actually create a perfect, perfect circle. And I think that should be fine. This will local right now. What I need is I need, like, a darker element of dark around that rectangle that is gonna go here in the bottom of them off the lamp. So that's as easy as simply creating a rectangle, the rectangle tool. And I'm simply gonna make it go from this anchor point to this anchor point, Something like that. And it's gonna be a bit darker, just like so. Now what I want to do is they want to create the light bulb. Some gonna again initialize them the Ellipse tool by pressing the AL key on the keyboard and of hearing from the center and going to click and hold on the old and the shift keys together and create quite a big light bulb. Let's have some lighting. Our in our office, uh, this will be fine. And of course I'm gonna make it yellow and again I'm going t o I'm going to put it all the all the way to the back. Some simply gonna press control shift left record on my keyboard to make it go to make it go all the way to the back. Now going is to simply may be rotated to bid. Do something like that. And there we go. We got our first part off our lamp created. Now, in the next video, we're going to create the other elements off the lamp. So we're going to create the stand and we're going to use summer some pantaloons, some a little as well, and they rounded rectangle. So if it's something that you're interested in, keep watching. 18. Let's create the stand: in this video, We're going to continue creating our lamp, and I think I'm going to start with the Pantelis. I'm gonna just grab it by President, a P key on the keyboard. And as I think I'm gonna make a stroke active and I'm gonna give it this this light, light, red color. So all you really need to do to simply click somewhere here and then maybe somewhere here and then somewhere, somewhere here, This will be fine. Of course I want to stroke to be significantly bigger. So I'm gonna go to the stroke panel and increase its value to 10. Then should be fine. Of course, we can always reposition this and this line just a bit. And if we take a look at the original, we got this. We got this this ellipse right here, right and right where our line of spending. So I'm simply going grab the ellipse stool again by pressing the l key on the keyboard and I'm gonna create an Ellipse summer here. Of course, I wanted have on Lee this show only the film, not the stroke. So I'm simply going to give it Give it nice Phil and make it make it darker red, just like that. And if you see me from time to time, quickly exchange into filled with the color. Or maybe getting rid of the filo are the stroke. Well, that's actually because I'm using a lot of a lot of the keyboard shortcuts, so to quickly exchange to fill color with them with stroke color, simply press shift X on your keyboard. And if you want to simply get rid of a certain color, just breast slash key on your keyboard. And if you want to simply make make of the stroke active when you have the failed physical color active, like in this case, simply press the X key on the keyboard to talk or between the fill them and the stroke colors just like that. Okay, the next part would be due to create the standard, the base off the lamp. So again, I'm gonna grab the ellipse toe, and I'm simply going to create like a flat ellipse that should look something like this. And again, I'm gonna make it this light, light, red color and again, as we did with the In the case of this off, I don't know how to call it the head of the lamp. We need to get it. We need to make it converted into 1/2 circle. So again, I'm gonna grab the rounder on direct selection told by pressing the a key on the keyboard. I'm gonna marquis around this bottom anchor point, and I'm simply going to delete it and this time to join thes thes. Well, these ankle price left in the right ankle point because way already know that we have, like, an open path right here. So to join these guys, all we need to do is to simply press the control J on the keyboard to join them and to have , like, a close to the path right here going to do is to reposition this guy to summer here. This should be fine. And I am going to finish them this whole shape with a simple around erecting go and I'm going to create around the rectangle. Maybe let's round it to the max and let me make it smaller and let me make it dark, dark, red, just like that. And in the original, as we can see as we can know this, we don't have any, like an on and off switch. And this is something that I want to fix, so I want to create it. But I think that maybe I'm gonna make it just a bit smaller because this looks kind of big and I'm gonna create it again with the render with the rectangle tool that just zoom in. It's gonna be a simple rectangle that it's gonna look something like that. And I'm gonna move it all the way to the back by pressing the control shift left bracket combination on my keyboard. And there you go. We got we got the lamp created. All we need to do is to simply select all these guys, group them, and I'm going to move them on to my table. And as you can see, this lamp looks like a line for it for a giant. So I'm gonna I'm going to simply make it make it smaller till it looks something like that . I'm gonna move it to the right. Yeah, this should be fine. Of course, if you want. If you want to play and play around the position in, go ahead. It's your design. But I think I'm gonna leave it like that. So there you go. We got the lamp created, and our table is starting to look like it's a really office space table. So we created the lamp using a lot off a lot of ellipsis, some some rectangles, a bit of a panto. All in all, a fairly easy, fairly easy shape. But to tell you the truth, it took me quite a while to figure out how to create this line right here. I was trying to I was trying to create it with the rectangle tool, trying to add some anchor points. And it turned out that the easiest way was the way I tend not to use. And that was with the mental. So there you go. We got the lamp created, and the next step, if we take a look at the original, would be to create. I think, let's create the speakers in the next video. So that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching 19. Let's create the first speaker: in this video, we are going to create these computer computer speakers and in the process, we're going to use again. Well, the appearance panel, we are going to use the appearance panel quite a lot. So let's move to the right to the right art board, just like that. And I think I'm going to create a new layer for this guy as well. I'm gonna lock the lamb player, and I'm simply gonna cretin layer out and call it speakers just like so. And I'm going to start with a simple around it rectangles. I'm gonna grab it from my tools panel and I am going to create that. I wanted to be quite tall and quite narrow. Uh, think this should be fine. Okay, so now what I need to do than to simply creating the lips or many before that, Let me just start adding colors so you can ask. So it's more enjoyable for you. So let me just get rid of them, get rid of the stroke and from my from my palate, I am going to go with this with this dark, dark, dark, gray color. So the ellipse still active? I'm simply going to create an ellipse. So I'm gonna call them on the shift and the old keys together on a Mac you held on the ship andan option key. And I'm gonna make it something like that. And now I'm gonna move to to the appearance panel and I want to make one note here. Guys, we are not going to be using strokes in this case. Although we could We're going to be using Onley the fills, and we are going to be building them from bottom to top. So first with this. So this original Phil, I want to make it. I want to make it. Actually, I'm gonna make it Well, this off white collar And now I simply want to duplicate its I'm going to drag it onto this duplicate selected I can item icon and this top Phil is going to be dark. It's I think it's gonna be even black. But of course, it's covering at the bottom fill, so we need to make it smaller. So I'm gonna go to this effects icon and to this distort and transform option and from the transform menu transform option. I'm gonna Jews. I'm going to scale it down to say 90%. This should be fine. Yeah, it will be fine. And again, I want O on a duplicate this item this this film as well Because I want to duplicate its transform. Its transformations transform value as well. So I'm simply going to drag it onto the onto this icon. And this guy is going to have this Maybe this lighter, lighter, gray color, and I'm going to make it significantly smaller. Let's try 95 75%. Yeah, this would be fine. And this guy and it's gonna be the last, the last duplication. I promise. This guy is gonna have this darker gray and I'm going to make it. Let's try. Let's try. Maybe 35% just like that. And there you go. We got him. We got that this speaker membrane created. I am going to move it just a bit up and I'm going to duplicated by holding down the shift and the whole turkeys together down to somewhere here and there We go weak at the speaker created. So I think it was super easy. But I think that the appearance panel is really powerful at the same time. So we used it to create multiple fields that were transformed and we made them smaller. And we stack them on top of each other to make it all look like look like this. In the next year, we're going to create this stand, and then we're going to duplicate our our speaker and put them on the table. So that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching. 20. Let's create the stand: in this video, we're going to create the stand, and then we are going to duplicate the speaker and put them on the table. So to create the stand, I'm simply going to grab the rectangle tool. So impressed I'm gonna press the empty for that. And I'm simply gonna create the standard. It's gonna look something like that. This should be fine. And again, as in the case of the flowerpot we want to make, we want to make wana and of this rectangle a bit narrower, narrower than the other. So I'm simply going to enter the isolation modem by double clicking by clicking on it on this rectangle. And I'm simply going toe the direct selection tool Marquis around thes stop anchor points, Levinger assuming a bit. So I'm marking around these stop anchor points and I'm again. I'm going to initialize the scale tool by president asking on the keyboard and then enter and I want to make them make them smaller. Maybe let's try 75%. 75% should be fine. I'm gonna I'm gonna hit escape. And of course, what I want to do is I want to make sure that all these guys aligned properly. So I'm simply going to select all these guys go to the align panel, and I'm gonna click this horizontal line center option just like that. And this in this part of the stand is gonna have, like, a dark, the darkest color in the stack. It's gonna be this black color, actually, I'm going to put it all the way to the back by president, the control shift left bracket or command shift left bracket on your keyboard. Now all that's left to do is to simply mandibular and move, adjust. If it up, all that's left to do is to simply created a rounded rectangles. I'm gonna grab it from my tools panel and I'm gonna create a around it rectangle that is gonna be maybe something like that. This should be fine. And he's gonna have the same color as this as this speaker. So I'm simply going to click on it right here and now we can again make sure that everything is being aligned properly, just like so Now I'm going to select all these guys and hit control G or command Geoana Mac to simply to simply group them just like that. Of course I need a second copy of it. So I'm simply going to duplicate it to the right by pressing the shift and the whole turkeys together just like that. And now I can actually put them all my table, so I think I'm gonna make it significantly smaller, are Maybe I am going to make them smaller, using the scale because they want to make sure that that the scale of these guys is is the same. So I'm simply gonna select all of these guys both these guys, and I'm gonna activate the scale told by president asking on the keyboard and then enter and let's see, 25% 25% should be actually fine. We've got that right. I'm gonna move them on the table, just like that. Let me zoom in. I'm gonna move this guy, do the right summer here. Of course, we will adjust their position. And when when we bring a bring the computer in and maybe this guy to left and there you go weak at the speakers created So in the process, we use quite a lot off Quite a lot of transformations. Using the appearance panel, we added the base on. Then we we just simply put our speakers onto the table. So in the next video we're going to create, we're going to create this this computer, that it's kind of a combination oven. I'm Mike, they only one desktop computer. So if you're interested in creating this kind of a computer, just keep watching. 21. Let's start creating the computer: in this video. We're going to start creating this computer icon right here. So let's move on to the proper art board is gonna double click on it, and I'm gonna create a new layer from myself. I'm gonna look on the speakers layer, and I'm gonna name this new layer. Ask computer just like that. Okay, So I'm going to start with creating a simple around it rectangle tool. Well, I'm gonna use the rounded rectangle to I'm gonna create direct angle toe around that rectangle And I think I'm gonna make it just a bit a bit higher, too. So maybe something like this, this should be fine. Now, what I want to do right now is they want to If we take a look at the original, we got, like, this darker frame right here, and we got this cream as well. So in order to do that, all we need to do is to simply copy this guy and base it in front. So I'm simply going to go control C and control F on my keyboard like that so we can see that we got to round it rectangles. And now I'm simply going to double click on it to enter the isolation mode. And what I want is they want this a bottom part to have no a rounded corners. I want these corners to be sharp. So I'm simply going to with the direct selection toe Marquis around this left anchor point and this right ankle point and I'm simply going to delete them. And now I'm simply going to join them by pressing the control J on the keyboard. So what we have right now is this kind of like a shape that has and corners around it on top and not rounded on the bottom. Of course, if you are on illustrator cc again, you can use the life life corners of function if you want. I'm gonna do that. And what I want right now is they want to move this bottom of this bottom part of bed up, some simply going to drag around Thies to anchor points with the direct selection toe hasn't begun nauseam up till it looks something like that. This should be fine. I'm just gonna hit the escape key, and I think that it's time to start adding colors. I wanted to have the base won't have any stroke. And for the filth that would just see what we have here. I think I'm gonna go with this with this. A great color just like that. Or maybe the slider gray. This would be fine. I want this frame to, of course, have no stroke. And I wanna have wanted to have this darker, darker color just like that. Now, what I want is I want to clue you eat the screen that's gonna be here, inside inside this frame. So I'm going to simply I'm going to simply select this dark frame right here, and I'm simply going to copy and paste it in front. And we already know the combination for it. Just control the sea and control F and command C Command have on a Mac. Now, what I want to do is I want to make it smaller. So I'm simply going to initialize the scale tool by pressing the asking on the keyboard. And then I'm going to simply hit enter now an important step here in order to make it all work like it's working in this case. If we just so wanted Teoh scale it down uniformly you can see that we are actually not getting all these gaps, right? I mean, these right and left, the gaps are simply were bigger than top and bottom. So in order to make it look, make it look proportionately, we need to scale it down uniformly. And usually you the difference between the horizontal and the vertical scaling it should be around 5%. So let's say that I want to scale it horizontally down to 92. I would have to make the vertical scale something like 87 to make to make it look all the nice and proportionate. So I'm simply gonna hit, okay? And I'm gonna make this screen lighter, just like so. And what I need right now is to simply add, like, the camera camera here on the sub and on and on and off the bottom, right here on the bottom. So that's as easy as simply creo initializing three ellipse tal and creating an ellipse. Some some people simply pressing the AL key on the keyboard and that I'm simply going to create a button that is gonna look something like that, and I think I'm gonna give it this this blue collar. Just like so Let me just zoom in here. And I am going to create another lips. I'm gonna create the camera, and I'm going to give this. Ah, nice light color. Just like that. So let me just zoom back out. Of course, we need to make sure that this camera is sitting on in front. So with the help, with the help of the smart guys, we can see where we are, actually. Right now, making this camera and sit here in the center. There we go. We got the main shape of our computer created in the original. If we take a closer look, this bottom button is of a different color. And if you want, you can go. You can You can go with it with a different color for this video. I thought that I might do some things a bit more a bit more differently, just for the sake of variety. But maybe I will make this guy Maybe this guy. I'm gonna give it this color. Why not? It's my design. I could play with it if I want. So there you go. We created the main shape of our computer in the next video, we're going to add some content onto our screen and we are going toe at the base and the shading effect sort that something that you're interested in, keep watching. 22. Let's add the content and the stand: in this video, we're going to create the stand for computer and we're going to add some content and then we're going to put the computer onto the desk. So let's start with creating a simple, simple rectangles. I'm gonna grab the rectangle tool, and I am going to maybe find the center somewhere here and I'm going to should I'm going toe old click here and I'm going to create a standard would look something like that, this would be fine. Now the stent is gonna have the same color as this base of my computer, so I'm simply going to sample it using the eyedropper told. So I'm gonna activated by pressing the I key on the keyboard, and I'm simply going to click on it just like that. Now I'm gonna create, like, the bottom part off the stand with their rounded rectangles. I'm gonna grab it from my from my tools panel. And again, I am going to find the center of my my artwork. And I'm simply going toe klik and to eat stand that is going to look something like that. This should be fine. Okay, So far, so good. Of course, Now our stand is not Is not too distinct is not to really visible right here. So what we were what we could do is to we could happen like the shading effect. Now, if you want, you can maybe bring this guy just a bit down. So in order to do that, all we need to do is to simply divine this guy into two into two parts. So I think that the easiest way to do that would be to simply enter isolation motor with this guy right here. So I'm simply going to double click on it. I'm gonna grab the line segment tool from Michael Spinal, and I'm going Teoh, click and drag a line, and it's gonna look something like that. Now I'm going to select this rectangle as well, so I'm going to shift click on it. And in the Pathfinder tool, I am simply going head divide. And I'm not going on group These guys, I'm simply going to target this, that this took part with the direct selection. Don't that. I'm going to initialize by pressing the a key on the keyboard and I'm gonna click on it just off, click and click on it again. And I can simply go to Mike color swatches and give this guy maybe this darker gray color. And now, if I just hit the in the escape key, I can now move all these guys to to the the bottom of the stack. So I'm simply going to select them and use the combination of control shift left bracket on my keyboard to create this kind of a shading effect just like that. And now to create the content, all we really need to do is to simply create some simple rectangles. So I'm going to initialize the rectangle tool and I am going to create one just like that. Let's say that this is some kind of a photo, and I'm going to give it a proper color just like that. And now I'm going to pretend that this is some kind of a block post. So I'm going to create a like the title of this book, both by creating another rectangle that would span across my my screen to somewhere here. This would be fine, and I'm going to give it a nice dark brown color now to create. Let me just move to the original to create all these lines we could use and told that we used quite a lot in these videos and which is called and spoke into grip toe. So what I'm gonna do is I'm simply going to move this guy down, and I'm simply gonna hold down the old key as well. Maybe just a bit down to somewhere here, and I'm going to extend it to summer here. This will be fine. I'm going to select it and give it a different color. Maybe this lighter grew lighter Brown, and I'm gonna go to the object. May new path split into grid, and then I'm gonna turn on the preview option, and this time I'm going toe enter. I'm going to change the number for the Rose. Let's see what six is going to look like. And I'm gonna increase the God of value. House X is gonna be fine. Let's leave it at. Let's leave it at six. Now, if you want, you can simply drag these guys to the laugh if you want to. If you want to simulate like the taxes are wrapping around the our image so you could leave it like that or you could simply go with this guy and simply may be extended to the bottom to make it look like this image is kind of like a vertical image, like it's like it's a bit different. What we could also do is we could simply make the bottom line of the text move a bit of the left like it's It's like an actual tax. And maybe let's move the title a bit to the left as well. Just him. Just a It's emotional. That's emotion to our content. So there you go. We got the computer created. So now if I just select everything and simply group it by pressing control, Jill make you bored. I'm gonna make it smaller, and I can put it on to my own to my desk. I'm simply gonna put it somewhere here just like that, and we can make it bigger if we want. But maybe not too big is gonna is gonna touch the clock on our world in a second. So yet let's maybe make it just a bit smaller. I'm going to scale it down uniformly to around 95%. Let's let's leave it like that I'm gonna reposition it. And now we can actually play around with our with our with our speakers. Let me just unlock a layer. And I'm gonna move the speaker bit to the right to somewhere here and moved the computer. Maybe a bit to the right as well do somewhere here. Okay, this will be fine. And there we go. We got our computer created. We put it onto our table just just now. So in the process, we used to quite a lot of the rectangles, some rounded rectangles, some simple transformations, and this is this is the result of our transformations. So in the next video, we are going to create this mug on. We are going to create the steam that is coming out of it, and then we're going to create this WiFi device right here. So that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching 23. Let's create the base coffee mug shape: in this video, we're going to start creating this this mug with with some some some hard average, apparently was because we can see some steam a seam coming and coming out of it. So let's move on to the right to our board and let's create proper layers. I'm gonna lock these guys, and I'm going to create a layer that I'm gonna call You know what? I'm gonna call it coffee. Why not? Let's call it coffee. Now Creating the mark is gonna be, like, extremely simple because we're going to be using only the rounded rectangle tool. And the rial fund is gonna is gonna start with the steam. So let's quickly creator create the mud and then let's move on to this team. So I'm simply gonna grab the rounded rectangle from my tools. And I am simply going to create a mark that is going to look something like that. And of course I'm pressing the up arrow key to control the roundness of my my my corners. I think this should be fine. Of course, I wanted to have only the stroke. I don't want to have any feel, but again, I don't want I don't want this mark to have any rounded corners here, here on the top. So the direct selection told that we can activate by pressing a key on the keyboard. I'm going to I'm going to select both these guys on shift shift, clicking on them and instantly gonna delete it and then hit control J in order to have a close path, as we already know how to how to do it. So, in order to to create the saucer again, I'm gonna grab the rounded rectangle tool, and I'm going to create around the rectangle that is going to look something like that. And again, I'm going to get rid of them off these top rounded corners. I'm gonna double click on it to enter isolation amount just so I don't mess anything up, I'm going out with the direct selection tool. Simply shift click on these anchor points, delete them, and simply joined these guys as well to create the to create the saucer. Now I'm going to move it up somewhere. Here, let me just come out and maybe moved his guy just a bit up. And of course, we want to align all these guys properly, just like so. Now, of course, the only and the only thing to do is to create the handle. Eso again with the round that rectangle tool I am simply going to create around it around rounded rectangle that is going to look something like that. Maybe just a bit bigger, Something like so. And of course I wanted Teoh. I wanted to have a stroke not filled. So now I can simply increase its value. Do something about 20. This should be fine. And there we go. We got we got the mind created. Of course I'm going to expand this this handle because later, when I when I change, it's changing sides the size and I don't want into that. I don't want him that this stroked to change dynamically. So I'm simply going to hit Okay, just like that. And there we go. We got we got the Marga created. Now, if you want, you can simply select these guys and go to the Pathfinder to and unite them. But it's just an option. It's really it's really up to you. You can you can leave it. You can leave it like that. I am going to group These guys, however, some simply going to select them and press the control G on my keyboard. And now we can actually move on to create this team. And if you think they were there, we are going to use the mantle to create it. Well, no, you are wrong. They're going to use some some other other transformations just so you learn some other transformations and your your your skills that portfolio simply and simply expanse. So if you want to learn how to create the steam without even touching the panto, now let's just move on to the next video. 24. Let's add the steam: So in this video you're going to learn how to create the steam without their mental and actually in the process, we are going to use the line segment tool, something going to simply grab it from my tool spell. And I am going to create a line that is gonna look something like this Now, I wanted to have some stroke, so I am simply going to maybe just so you can see everything better. I'm simply going to make it, make it, make it brown that pinch zoom in a bit. What I want to do right now is I want to simply transform this this line into into, like, this curve your line. So what we could do is you could simply go to the object, May new path. And I'm gonna go with the ad anchor points. And what it does is it simply added a an anchor point between them to stop and this bottom and point right in the middle between them. And I'm going to go to the converted anchor point tool. And I'm simply going to click on this anchor point and I'm going to drag. And as you can see, we are creating. We are creating a wave. And if I hold down the shift key to it, I'm going to constrain this transformation till it looks something like that. This would be fine. But of course we are not Danica's. In the original, the steam looks like it's, well, wider. So in order to do that, you could simply use the with two and the with total sits right here in the tools panel and has a very handy short short cut off a shift plus W. And the way it works is if I simply click on an anchor point like this one and start dragging, you can see that I am actually making making my line thicker just like that. So this is how we can create a nice, nicely looking steam, just like so. And I'm simply going to duplicate his guy to the right, make it smaller, some simply gonna access the scale tool by pressing asking on the keyboard. And I'm simply gonna get 70%. 70% should be fine. Okay, Now I'm gonna move it somewhere here and very good. We got we got our esteem created. Maybe let me mess. Just make just a bit bigger because this thing, this coffee's really health. So vessel there's a lot of steam. I let me just refer back to the original deceive the colors. OK, so it's a theory journal color and some and some steamed white collar. So I'm going to select my select my mark, go to go to my go to my swatches, and I'm gonna give this guy and this is a nice orange color and I think I'm going to expand on thes thes lines. So I'm gonna go to the object and I'm going to go to with expand appearance and I'm going to give this guys and give these guys of this nice, great collar. So no, I will just simply control Joan, These guys Teoh to create a group out of them. Let me make them smaller, and I'm going to put them on my table and it's gotta be really small. So let's me let me put it somewhere here. Let's just zoom him and there we go. We got we got our our mugger created our cup of coffee created. Let me just move it somewhere here and there we go. This is how you can create a mug and some steam coming coming out of it. So as you could see in order to create some affected illustrator, you really need Teoh. Well, you don't meet but you can. From time to time, I think out of the box and just stay away from the panel to to create some really nicely looking a nicely looking effects. You really don't need to use mental for everything. Therefore, for any irregular, irregular path to tell you the truth And I think I was asked to create a course on just a panel and I am going to create it. But in this video, I just wanted to show you how we can use our can create some irregular shapes without the need off the mental. So in the next, in the next video, which is which is going to be, which is going to be a think of the last or second to last video in this in this course, we are going to start creating this WiFi router router writer right here. So that's something that you're interested in. Keep watching 25. Let's add the wi-fi- router: in this. You don't. We are going to create this this ruler, this WiFi training. And as you can see, there are really some some simple, some basic, some basic shapes going on right here. So let's move on to the proper art board and let's create a new layer for my for my design . So I'm going to create it. I let me call it WiFi. Why not? So I'm going to start with creating a simple around it rectangle some gonna created. I'm gonna make it look something like this. Why not? I'm gonna give it a proper color, which is, I believe, this dark color. Just refer back to the original, and as we can see No, it's not. The color is the color of the antenna, actually. So let's make it this lighter gray. And we need to do now is we need to simply at the UN enough button and some and some led lights here to the right. So I'm simply going to create and their lips and I'm gonna activated by pressing the AL key on the keyboard. And I'm simply going to create about done that is gonna look something like that and I believe in the original. It's I think it's green. Okay, so now let's simply duplicate this guy to the right and make it smaller to around 50%. 50% should be fine. No, What I want to do is I want to simply move this guy to the right. And I bet you know what is going to happen next. Let me just give this guy's proper yellow color. I'm simply going to grab both of these guys gonna go to gonna go to the planned options and I'm gonna enter the specified steps for spacing and eight, Let's see what it is going to look like. So now with the blend, tool is still active and simply going to click on the left Ellipse and on the right, and you can see that aid is way too much. So I'm simply gonna double click on the blender options on the Blanton again and I'm going to decrease. Just get a preview going to degrees this option 24 or maybe even three. Just like so. Okay, so now what we need to do is going to simply create and creator the stand and and the antenna So the round rectangle tool. I am simply going to create a stand that would look something like that. This would be fun, and Biscay will have a darker color. And I am maybe let me just move it a bit up to something like that and move it all the way to the back, just like so. And I'm going to move it to somewhere here, just like so maybe a bit to the left. And I'm gonna do the same for them for the intent. I mean, I'm going to create a simple around the direct and goal that's gonna look something like that. I'm gonna move it. I'm gonna move it down to somewhere here and now. I'm simply going to duplicate it to the top somewhere here, and I'm gonna make it smaller. But not to 50% maybe maybe 70%. And bring it down just like that, I'm going to select both these guys and I think I'm gonna unite them, using the Pathfinder tool on using them the united function in the Pathfinder toe, just like so. And I'm gonna bring it moving all the way to the back as well. Maybe moving summer to the right. And there we go. We got our WiFi device created, some simply going to going to group all these guys. So I'm gonna select them and hate control G. And I'm gonna make it significantly smaller and bring it over over here to put on toward put onto our table and maybe moving to summer here. Just accept. And there we go. We got our office office space create, so that took us some time. But along the way, we'll learn quite a lot of quite a lot of interest in illustrator techniques. And I really do hope that you that you learned a lot and you enjoy it. And you enjoyed this course. So in the next video, we are going toe, wrap everything up, and we're going to revise everything we learnt so far, so stay tuned. 26. In Conclusion: So congratulations. You've made it through the course. I hope you learned a lot. And I hope that you are now better user when it comes to illustrator techniques and and flat design as well. So let's to quickly revise what we learned in the courts. So first we created this background, remember? We added a rectangle and we divided it into into several several rectangles. We added this shelf and we we painted the wall and we added this table. Now, After that, we created the window. So we we added to the cloud. We added the reflections. We had a knob and then we created the picture. Remember how we how we created these small leverages zoom in these small rectangles have reflected them. How we how we made them actually reflect in relation to the center of our picture. And then we and then we clip them with the clipping mask. Of course, added the male and the court. And then we put to this picture inside. So after that, we created this Scandinavian flat design clock. So we learned how to use on the the appearance panel to to add multiple multiple strokes and then we added folders, which was pretty easy. We created them using the round rectangle tool and some on the rectangle tool as well. And then we created the flour and we have some fun with the flower. Remember, we created thes paddles with well, initially with them with the ellipse tal, but then were converted it we transformed it and then we created the leaves and the flower pot as well. After that, we started adding things onto our table. So we created the lamp with the help of the mental and and their theory stool as well. Then we created the computer speakers and we way again used the appearance panel. But this time we used it to create multiple fills and to transform them. Then we move on, moved on to the computer on. We created it again with the rounded rectangle. Till we did, we did use a lot of rock rounded rectangle, toe eso We added the content. We added this shading effect to the bottom. Then we created the coffee and we we learned how to how to create this thing. Steam effect. Using the line segment will end the with two and then we way we added this This WiFi device right here to finish the whole design off. I hope youll learn to learn a lot in the process of designing this office space. Be sure to check out my other courses on advanced their flat design techniques, where you will find how to create this desert desert island high and how to create another flat designer flat design designs to create other flat designs. Eso Again. Thanks for for joining me in the course. My name is David to means
