About This Class

Hello, and welcome to the course plugins class.  This class is dedicated to all the plugins that can be installed onto the course page.   The class begins with one of the most used plugins in the Moodle world, the attendance plugin.  As the name suggests the attendance plugin can be used to record the attendance of students, and can be added to multiple course pages.  I will show learners how to setup and configure the plugin, along with the various reporting options available.   Course navigation has always been a bone of contention within Moodle, and the course module navigation plugin has been designed to make it easier for students to navigate around Moodle courses.  In lesson 2, I will guide learners through installing the plugin and configuring the course and the plugin.  Lesson 3 will cover the really useful plugin called checklist.  Checklists can be created by tutors and placed on the course page, and students can then tick off items as they are completed.  I will show learners how to install and configure this plugin during lesson 3.   The completion progress plugin will be investigated next, and after having shown learners how to install the plugin, ill show you all how to configure your Moodle courses to get the best out of the completion progress plugin.  The questionnaire plugin is another example of an extremely useful plugin for both tutors and students. I will show learners how to Create a variety of different question type questionnaires, how to gather responses and how to run reports.   The class will finish with an example lesson, which will show learners how all of the course plugins are used in real life.
