About This Class

Welcome to the  Moodle Plugins - Course Format Plugins Class. This classwill focus on the various course formats that can be added to Moodle to make your course really stand out!   Lesson 1 begins with the Grid course format, a format that turns a moodle course into a series of grids. I will show learners how to install this course format, along with the various configuration options, as well as advising learners when and when not to use the grid format.  The second lesson focuses on one of the most used course format plugins – the collapsed topics format.  By using the course topics format, learners can easily hide information away in a collapsed topic, and the use of this format makes the moodle course page look much tidier!  I will then move on to the buttons course format, a new-iish format which allows content to be displayed and acessed via buttons along the top of the moodle course page.  The board course format is covered in lesson 4 of this class and i will descibe the advantages and disadvantages of using this versatile course format.   The final lesson of the class, will investigate the tabs course format - a unique course format that allows content to be displayed in tabs.   If you have any questions queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me – I really want my learners to succeed and learn as much as they can about Moodle plugins!
