Project Description

Take this pattern to the next level by playing with color and texture. Share your process, start to finish!

Phase 1: Gather your materials. I was grateful to have my yarn supplied by my friends at We Are Knitters. If you're able to get your hands on a ball of their Merino Wool, you are in for a treat. You can even use code TONIWAK at checkout for a sweet little discount. If you'd rather shop closer to home, find a worsted weight yarn like Red Heart Soft or Lion Brand Wool-Ease. Since this is a top-down hat, your gauge is super important, and a heavier yarn will really mess up the fit.

Phase 2: Get to making! Now is the time to really dig into the tutorial. Grab your supplies and work through the lessons. Take it slow, and re-watch any videos you need. Don't forget to snap a couple pictures along the way!

Phase 3: Share with us! And you're all done with your hat! *queue the happy danceI* What next? Show off your hard work! Snap a picture of your hat flat, or try it on and show us how excited you are. Either way, I can't wait to see what you create.

Need some inspiration? Here are a few hats I made with this exact pattern:
