Project Description

Create Low Poly Illustrations From Any Photo

Getting Started

  1. Select A Reference Image

Select an appropriate reference image which will form the basis for your illustration

Creating Your Artwork

  1. Sketching

Sketch out your base mesh. This will form the structure of what we will later color in.

  2. Vectorize

Draw in vector triangles inside your illustration software.

  3. Align & Fix

Align any wayward points and fix any holes in your mesh.

  4. Coloring

Color you illustration using the underlying reference image to fill in your triangles with a solid color.

Final Touches

  1. Final Touches

Apply all or some of the effects described in the video lesson. Try a different grade or differnt background.

You can go a step further by presenting your image in the context of something unique like a poster, billboard or magazine cover.
