1. Master your Notes with Microsoft OneNote Now!: 2. Get Started with Microsoft OneNote: Hi, this is Brian Hong, and we're going to be discussing on how to use one note to the fullest. Okay, so let's get started first with what one notice all about? To be honest, when I first started working with one note, I thought it was just they know taking applications. So it's just a place where you just type in there knows where random ideas, for example, and then it's just a way to get you organized. But as I was exploring one note piece by piece, but there's a lot off features that you can discover inside. One note that will be really helpful to you, and that's what we're going to be covering in this course. Okay, so for one note will be focusing on the specific question you could see on the top here. One note for Windows 10. OK, but aside from that will be discussing about different versions to spell like, for example, one note online and also one note 2016 and the Kolding With this once, everything's free. Okay. And just to give you a quick overview, this is actually one of 2016. Ok, so don't get overwhelmed by this I'll be going Tru step by. Step on. What are the differences so that you can make a choice on which fits better for you. In my opinion, I prefer this one for Windows time because it has a modern interface. Okay, it looks more modern as compared to the 2016 version, but it's up to you. I'll be discussing the differences between the functionality so that you can make a wise decision. Okay, so pretty much you could see that the views are different, right? But the functionality that you learn here in this course can be applied to the different versions off. Wondered. OK, so it's pretty much applicable, regardless off which version that you choose to use. 3. Organize Notebooks: Now let's talk about organizing notebooks. Okay? So pretty much one note has a very simple structure. So if we go here on the left side, right on, this cyber over here could see this option called the Hyde Navigation. If I just click on this, it will show me all after notebooks. Okay, So to be able to show your notebooks, you'll just click on this on the top, right? And then you have your less off notebooks. So pretty much a notebook is made up off different sections, and then each section is made up off different pages. Okay, so you could think of it as a tree level structure in a way. Notebooks and then sections and then pages. So over here inside notebooks. Okay, I have the default. My notebook. And then I have created a couple more notebooks that I wanted to use. For example, this one books and then followed by courses. And the whole thing with this one with notebooks inside, the one notice it gets saved to the cloud. So which means they're synchronization. That's happening. So whenever and make change over here in the Windows 10 version, for example, I jumped into my mobile version off one note or two d website version, right? The changes that I make will get synchronized to those a swell. So which means you could just jump over okay, to your phone, to your tablet, to your laptop, right? And then you would have your notes synchronized between all of them. And for me, that's pretty handy. Because, for example, if I'm on the go and I wanted to take note of a specific idea, for example, if I wanted to create a new court, all of a sudden I could just type in inside my one note in mobile phone. And then pretty much when I get home, for example, and I start working on the laptop and pretty much everything gets sink so I could just continue working over here as if nothing happened, right? There's no need for manual transferring and all. Okay, so inside those books right over here, it's very easy to create a new notebook from, for example, I'll just try click here and just select new notebook. So, for example, let's say I have a new notebook for meetings, and I'll just create notebook over here, right and then you'll have a new notebook right away. And there are a couple of customization to spell that you could do for this one. So I could see over here, right? There's green card orders, orange color. So it could just cost the my stemmed to make it more obvious to you are two different shape from one notebook to another. So now we have our new notebook, and you could see on this icon over here it's gonna get synchronized. So the next thing is, let's go back to our notebooks. Right? So if I just jump back here, there's a couple of days that you can make changes onto your notebooks. If I just right, click, let's say on our newly created notebook. Okay, so you have nickname. You have the sink option, right? You can close this notebook and you can change the color. So this is the one that I've seen sharing about of all ago. So if I change this yellow, for example, so you just have it over here we could copy link to know also will be exploring this more in a later session. Right on. How can we share your notebook files? for example, with other people, and they can pinnacle to start and then view deleted notes. So another option over here it's more not so. For example, if you have more of books that you want to open, didn't you just select this option and then see everything under your notebook list? So what? You've said regular notebooks, OK, you can just click open, but in our case, it we're just gonna cancel this. Okay, so after the notebooks, we're gonna be going straight to the section. So let's say Let's just jump over to a different notebook off courses. So over here, what I did was high pretty much created multiple sections over here. So which means for the course that I wanted to make What are the topics that I would want to discuss about? So you could see over here, right? There's word or excel. There's part pointed chatter outlook and one note for Windows 10. Okay, so four sections pretty much it's very easy as well, too. Create a new section, distracted here and then you just select new section. So pretty much similar to how we did 40 creating off the new notebook and over here, right? You could just do a similar that costume a station to your sections. It just right click on any section over here. You have the delete rename right can move, and then you can change the color as well. So pretty much the same options that we have from a volatile copy link. A swell peon selection. And you can even have Patrick protection. Okay, Another thing that I want to take note off is the use off section group. So for this section groups, it's just a handy way for you to group sections together. So, for example, in our this over here, right, we have word. We have Excel PowerPoint outlook there pretty much under the Microsoft Office umbrella, right? So what we'll do right now is I'll just right click on this empty space over here, and then I'll select a new section group, right? And then I just type in that same Microsoft office and then you can start ranking over here . Let's say this distract outlook, put it inside the group and say we have part point as well. Let's place it over here. OK, so it's pretty easy. Pretty easy to do so right. If you just want to organize them together inside a section group so that he could just write hide them in one. Go. OK, so it if there's gonna be a lot of sections in here, it's gonna be pretty helpful for you to make use off section groups, right? Okay, So after we use for sections, then this is where we go to the lowest level, which is the pages. So we just go here, right? Let's say let's go to one note. I've already created a couple of pages in here, so I could see on this side over here, right? This is pretty much the list off all the pages. So, for example, we have the course outline. We have random ideas, page and pretty much the same thing. You would just add this well, just right click. And it could just create a new page. But pretty much you could also add that, say, sections or pages from this option at the bottom as well. You could just click here at page and the same thing happened. Strike. You haven't tattle patient and it just start typing your ideas, and then you could just drag and drop them a swell if you want to reorganize them and then right click on the page and pretty much you'll see a similar set off options over here, the only one that's different, right? You could have even sub pages. We can have a default temp it if you're using this one over and over again, right? And under seven translation pages, which we will be exploring in the next few tutorials, okay? 4. Settings and View Tab: Okay, So before we get into modifying pages inside our notebooks, right, we'll just jump over to the different setting options that you could see inside. One note. OK, so to be able to access your setting, it's just located over here on the upper right corner, Right? If I click on this and analysis select settings and then we'll have a quick look on what options that are possible inside one note. Okay, so pretty much color synchronization of notebooks. I would suggest it Just live it on, right so that it gives you the added convenience when you jump over to a different device that has one installed a swell, and then we have sink all files and images. So, for example, if you want to automatically download, all of them swelled and you can turn it on right class notebook tools. And then we have quick note. So quick notice one of the most use options that we can do right. So over here, choose a notebook for quick notes, and this will be the default location for a new notes. So if there's a specific notebook right that we use for examples as your starting point okay. And then you just start to organize them afterwards. Right? Then you could use this Pacific notebook. So, for example, if most of the time I think off course ideas on, what can I do next? Right then Pretty much. I wanted the fourth notebook to be this for courses. Okay, I guess this my like number one notebook or that's the notebook that I go to to get things started, Right? So if you just keep this, just select the notebook, right? And then click. OK, let's go back again to our settings. That's get settings, options. Ondas Chicken up, Right. We have start tiles. We have navigation as well. If you want to go back to the legacy navigation pains and they could just turn it on. Thank a And then we have create new pages. So over here could also change the default font. Right? The scientists, Well, if you want a larger, bigger than it's up to you And if you're feeling adventures, you can also enable the experimental features right under a wonderful preview. Vendors also page previous a swell and then proofing if you don't want to show your spelling errors, right, select It's a swell and under social autocorrect. Okay. And then paste options. Right. So pretty much the setting Seen one? No, very accessible over here. Right? And you just jumping over two settings and in options. Okay, so let's jump now to the view tab. So right now for the view tab, there's a lot of options over here, and we'll go over them one by one. Okay, So for example, this one, we have our course outline right now, right? This page opened, okay? And then I'll just select new window. So this new window option is a handy way. So, for example, if I have two pages, let's say I'm working on the random, hideous page as well. Okay? And then I want to have a quick look right on the course outline so that I could sink the ideas together so it could just open a new window, right? Used to view Newman does so that you can have this side by side, and then you can work on multiple pages simultaneously, okay? And say you just have one monitor like me. Like what I'm doing right now. Then this is pretty handy. I'll just close this right, And then the next option that I wanted to discuss is Theo immersive reader. So what I did over here is already created a couple of bullet points for the course outline , right? And then let's just add a couple more. Let's say conclusion K in a thank you message, for example, right. And then you just click anywhere and it just type more, right? You just type in more over here. But let's just delete that. Now let's get immersive reader, and it's see what's gonna happen. Okay, so the cool thing with immersive reader, if it will load the text for you right in a easy to read. Okay. It's like zoomed in version. Okay, over here. So now let's just click play and then see what's gonna happen. And it's gonna be read aloud for you. Introduction. Different versions of one note. Talk about you tap pros and cons. How are you? Conclusion. Thank you Message. I think that's pretty cool. Right is it just comes out of the box in one note, and you just have let's say you have a lot of texts and then you don't want to read it on your screen or you're doing something else that you could just use immersive reader to just read it aloud for you. It's like having on all do book. Okay, that's ready to be read aloud for you. And there's also different options because the setting that I have right now is pretty quick. Okay, so I just changed the speed. Then you could also change the voice election, right? Let's say from male to female as well. So let's just try it out. Let's say let's try it at a normal speed. None All played out Introduction. Different versions of one note talk about view tab, pros and cones. How are you? Okay, so that's past that. So you could hear the difference, right? You could just play around with your different settings off the immersive reader. So another thing is with the funds, right. If I select this, you could just change the scientists. Well, okay. If it's too big or too small for you, chases, spacing, changed the phone, right. And then you have different teams. A swell if you just want to change the background. Carter to be better on your eyes are softer And your eyes, for example, right and then show source for making another option. Is this one? Grammar options already had this turned on for denounced. So you could see now is getting color coded in case hope. For example, if you're learning English is spelled in, this is gonna be pretty helpful for you, so I would just turn us off. Now, let's say let's turn on the verb so you could see the color red over here and then adjectives a swell. All right, so it's really cool. You can tell you the different parts of speech that are available right inside your Texas Well, and you can even have syllable turned on so you could see right in tro deduction over here can have different syllables, okay. And then reading preferences. Okay, so we have translations as well, if you just have this translated to a different language. So that's really, really cool. Okay, you can even have line focus. We show tree lines of taxman reading right or just one line of text so I could just have, like, a spotlight function that he could use. Okay, so that's really nice for immersive reader just comes out of the box, OK, so you could use that to read long texts out loud. Let's accept death, then other options that we have. It's pretty much zoom in. Zoom out. So pretty much the basic. If you're familiar with the office suite, okay, there's always that option if you want to make your view larger or smaller than you could just use this to bottoms. Okay, so zoom to 100% right? Just click this and back to the 100% view. Or you could just fit everything inside your screen with this option over here. Okay, so we have page colors. Well, where you could just change the background color, for example. Okay, so just select more colors. Okay, Just change this right, But I'll just go back to the original Qatar, and we have ruling to swell. Okay, if you're feeling like you wanted to be a notebook field, that he could just use this right away. So, for example, let's just select this right college ruled, and he could see the lightest for hits like a really notebook, right? That's really cool inside of or not. But for example, if you're doing graph so he could you also use grid lines along to sit like this, and then you just start making draft this fall over here could start growing. Okay, So pretty much rule eyes. You could just use them and depends on the size that you need. You could just make the changes of carding me, so I'll just turn software now. Or maybe we could just keep the notebook feel over here, okay? And then we have deleted notes. You could just have a quick look over here view deleted knows empty, dilated notes. Right. Okay. And then we have translate. So, for example, translate over here. That's select this tax. How are you? And then let's just select translate, And you can have options for selection or pretty much the entire page. So let's go for selection first and see what's gonna happen. Right? So we have over here, right? English. It was able to Otto the tech, the texts language. Okay. And then I've haven't changed, for example to Chinese. So it's gonna be knee Homa. Okay, so that's pretty cool, because right out of the box, you would be able to change right from your source language to whatever target language that you need. So even here, Right inside of one note. You just have your entire document, for example, translated so that it becomes easier for you to read. Okay, so that's really, really handy. Okay, so that's close. That you could even have it inserted right into your text. For example, Just click insert and just copy pace. Whatever the translation output. Yes, right was treated cool. So just remove that its coast that. Okay, so that's pretty much for the view tab. And then we'll be jumping onto working with multiple account in the next tutorial. 5. Work with Multiple Accounts: Now let's discuss about working with multiple accounts. So inside one note, it's very easy. If you have multiple accounts, let's say you have a personal account and the work account, so it's very easy. I'll just click on the top over here so you could see your email address on the top. That's my account. If I just click on it. Okay, then pretty much you have the entire list off the accounts that I added to the one North application, and you just add more accounts in here, right? And and after doing that, just close and pretty much you have your accounts in one place. 6. Tell Me In OneNote: Okay, So let's discuss about Tell me in one. Not so. This is actually one of my favorite features, because if there's a multitude off options that you could use inside one note and then if you forget on what it's called, then tell me it's very useful to do this. Okay, so, for example, for example, let's say we discussed a while ago about what the immersive reader function is, and then let's say you can't remember what the name of the function IHS or you can't remember the location. So let's just go to home, for example. And then he can remember which tab to save you. Time he tell me. Okay, which is this lightbulb icon over here, too? Could see over here. Tell me what you want to do. I'll just click on this right? And then it's gonna be able to search that feature for you, or it's gonna be able to suggest on what is the best fit based on your needs are based on your request. So, for example, let's say I can't remember what it's called emergent reader. Let's say I only remember the keyword reader, So if I just typing reader over here, right? You can see it gets suggested so I could just click on this and then it's gonna start up immersive reader for me. So, for example, that's this. Well, I can't remember how to add a new section. So if I just type in section over here, then it's gonna show me all of the options that are available for section, so that's really, really handy. Okay, So if you have a specific feature or something that you need to be done inside one note and you can't remember where it is or if you just want to say time for example, and then just go straight to it, then just go to the Tell me function over here. Just click on the icon and then start typing on what you need to be done. 7. Adding Text and Videos: Now let's discuss about adding tax and videos inside. One note. So what I'm doing right now is I'm inside. The untitled peso is just a blank page that we created. And then this is where we'll be doing some experiments. Okay, we're going to be playing around adding text and videos. It's a okay. So over here, just type in Texas, for example. Let's say for one note, what do I want to discuss? Let's say, What are the presentation files that I'll be using? For example? So I want to use Let's say, I'll just create a number and then numbered list over here. And then let's say I want to use a PowerPoint file to show on how we can attach Fothen tied one, maybe another pdf file. A swell right. And then anything else? That's a word file. Okay, so over here, what I'm doing if you can just type in text anywhere inside your page. So it's like if I click another one here, let's say, Hey, I thought the another one okay, so you could just type anywhere and then you can drag and drop them a swell. Okay, so that's really cool. And then adjusts. Okay, so it's like a free form. In a way, it's not really structured, but it's up to you if you want to have some organization, and then you can organize them together. Okay, so that's pretty much for tax. It doesn't have to be linear. And then another thing, ISS on the home tab, you can have the usual stuff that you can use for editing. Let's say over here. Okay. You have your font right? You can change the size, make a larger okay, and then you can do. And then we do a swell, whatever changes that you did. And then over here, same thing. And then you can have the bull, right? Italics under nine. And we have The Highness well, and then the font color and then pretty much deformity. Painter is so if you want to, I copied the format off one selection. Just click on this and then paste this on the other than pretty much just copy pace, whatever formatting that it uses. And then we have the clear formerly and then over here, ISF on for mating s well and then pretty much the bullets numbers. Okay. And the indentation. What I want to focus on its the tags over here, right? So for the tags, you can have this. So let's highlight this. Right? That attack, let's say, tried he to do. Okay, so over here, now you have a to do list you can just take and in Ticked, right? So this is pretty cool because there's a lot of different options that you can use. So, for example, that's right. The important tank, right? So let's say let's do this. And then let's say the important one that I want to prepare is the word fell. So I'll just tag this as important. Okay, And then let's say that is like questionable. I'm not sure. So I'll just tagged this as a question, okay. And therefore the part planets say, Let's just tag this ass. Remember for later, right? So just highlights it. But it's really cool. Okay, because you can you can create a costume. Taggart's Well, okay, so it's up to you on how you want to format it. And then there's a lot of options that you can use here. So there's some custom ice ability that you can do, and they just use them so that you can label right or tag specific text or Adams inside your one note pages. Okay, so that's for tax. And then we have style to swell If you have used, let's say Microsoft Word Mike suffered pretty much has style for smell, pre defined styles that you can just use and easily format your text. For example, let's say this fun. I just want to change this to heading to They want to change it. Will this one poor change? Because if tactics of all ago, but they change based on the handing and they could just reuse as well, this headings are the rest off your tax. OK, so that's pretty much for the home tab. And then another thing is, when it comes to using videos, it's very easiest well, to pace links. So, for example, website legs or YouTube links right over here. So what I have right now is let me just open YouTube and then we have this people table Excel tutorial, and then we'll just copy this and then see what's gonna happen. So, for example, if I just paste in here, okay, the YouTube link, right? So it's just gonna pay it in right away, and then you have your Tom nail a swell. You could just play it over here. So which means that's really cool. Because if you're doing research, for example, you, if you're compiling a lot of videos and intact a swell that you could just use, like copy pays links over here and then it will also give you a previous so that it's easier for you to understand. 8. Inserting More Items: Okay, so now let's discuss about inserting more items into your notes. What I'll do right now is let's add the new patients, start from scratch, and then we're gonna be discussing about the insert tab because there's a lot of things that we can insert inside our pages. So the first thing is for tables. Okay, so let's say four tables, I'll just click insert table. And over here you just defined the greed, the greed size that you want to use. So let's go for a four by tree table, OK? And then once you have it and you could just insert stuff inside, Okay, so nothing fancy. And then pretty much you can just right click a swell, and then you can just pays or do some formatting us well over here And then for the table options, you can insert Rose, right? You can insert columns, the rows columns or delete the entire table all together. Okay, so that's pretty much for the inserting off tables. A lot of things that you can insert. Okay, our files, us. Well, so for example, over here, if we select file right and then let's say I have a PowerPoint foul. I'll just open this. Okay? Somehow, it won't let me add is here. Let's try it again. Okay, Cool. Now it works. And over here is it's asking, like, How do you want to insert this file? Do you want it to upload to one drive first and that Internet link? Or do you want to insert as an attachment or insert as a print out? Okay, so for inserting as an attachment, let's just select this. Okay, so it's just linking to the file inside my hard drive. So here's the thing. What if we selected the print out instead of, for example, it's go to foul. Okay, let's select the same file again. And then instead of inserting his attachment, we're gonna be selecting this at Insurgents Printer. Okay, so here's a very cool thing. So what it's gonna do is it's gonna be converting the part point file into PdF file, and then it's gonna be inserting it. It's a prenup. So pretty much it's like clicking on this one, right? And it's electing a pdf to insert as a prenup. And you could see here, right, because the PowerPoint slides right there's to slice inside that file, and then it just converted it to a pdf. And he could see it like it got expanded over here so I can see the entire continents off the slight soap. The question right now is why would you do this? Right inside the page? So what I'll do is let me just delete this, okay? Let me just get this to and then have this one zoom now, So let's go to view, Okay? I'll just amount. So it could just zoom in and zoom out, asked needed so that he can see everything in one go. So the reason why we're gonna be having this year is let's say you're using an iPad or using a laptop or a mobile device, right? And then you're taking notes. And one thing that Okay, when you have lectures or seminars, right there slides that's being used. And then what you can do right now is, since we have it here, you can go to draw and then start taking notes. So, for example, let's say it is your favorite, so I could just encircle it, right, and then just highlight. They say this is the one that you like the most. Okay, so you just do Thanks. And then let's say this one is learned, okay? So he could just type in or just right stuff in there. Okay, so there's a lot of things you can do with the print outs because it allows you to be instead of printing it out literally. Okay. Are physically that you can do it right on your device. Gator, that's that's really, really cool. Okay, so that's pretty much for the inserting of pronounce what we can insert us. Well, it's pictures, right? Online video. So pretty much similar to what we did of all ago with the YouTube, right. And then you can insert links. A swell. Okay, so a lot of do right now, I want to focus on the inserting off audio because we can have fun with this. So, for example, let's say you're attending a lecture. Are somebody speaking right? And then it's too fast or you won't be able to catch up in taking notes. So what you can do if you could just insert an audio, So let's try it out. Okay, so I'm just picking right now, and then let's see how it's gonna sound like after we stop the recording. Okay, so I've done the audio record, so you could just don't let me just zoom in again because we can't see it. I told you found it. Well, OK, so we have this one, right? Okay, So since I forgot that we're still in the drawing face, right, he could see over here while I'm trying to click on the audio file. It's just placing that all over the place. So what I'll do is let's just go back to the icon so that we can select stuff. Okay, so now I've selected the audio file, and then you can just go play or just go over here to play and let's have look or listen to how it sounds like I think I'm just picking right now. And then let's see how it's gonna sound like after we stop the recording. Yeah, so that's pretty much the Iook. So you can just go to insert uncertain audio, and then it will use your mike to start recording hits all singles for meeting the fields. If you have outlook right, because I don't have it right now. You can just sign in, okay? And then you can keep a complete record off your meeting, and then we have symbols and then equations. So pretty much you have a lot of stuff that you can do here. So, for example, just try symbols, okay? And just had indium ology as well over here. Right? So there's a lot of stuff that you can insert into your pages. So it's not just text. It's not just video you concert files, printouts, audio, so that it makes your entire experience, Reacher. 9. Drawing Tools: Okay, so now, as tough about the drawing tools. So over here, what we have is I've zoomed out so that you can see the presentation slides over here. Okay? And then we have a couple off options. So over here is just selecting off objects or type text. So if you have the subject that you can move right items around inside your page. Okay, so that's the selector. And then we have a lasso select as well. So, for example, let's say just lasso everything inside. I'm just holding my left click and then it just, like, encircle. And then move objects in a groups over here, for example. I could just do that. Or you can also delete them all together. And then over here is insert or remove extra space over here. If I just add some spaces in here, I'm just holding my left click. And you can just track them, right? So that it moves everything down in one. Go. OK, so that's pretty handy. Okay. And then next deaths This one. So you have your razor. Okay. So if I have this spots over here, let me just clean them up, okay? Right So they're old gun, okay? And then you have your different markers. So over here, you just have college, ours, or even you can have this oneness fell, right? So just trying to south. Okay, over here. So there's a lot off different options that you can do. You can change it and then make it even larger, for example, right, So that it becomes a very big Okay, So if you're a writer, okay, if you want to write stuff, scribble stuff, then this is perfect for you. And there's a lot of options to smell. So, for example, we have your highlighter, right? I'm not exactly familiar with what this is called, but there's a lot of different options that you can try and play around it. But the cool thing is, it's you're not limited to this once, right? So we have your pencil pen and highlighter. It could just go for the plus button over here at a pen, right? And then you could just make your own combination or customized whatever you need, right? So once we have that, you can just start highlighting everything inside over here. So now it looks like a work of art. Okay? Not exactly, but yeah. Over here, you have a lot of objects that you can play around, but it can even right click on them, modified a tool, move left, move right. Or even delete them all together. Okay, so that's pretty much for the pen slash pencil tools. Next thing is we have shapes. Okay, so four shapes. OK, so what I'll do, I'll just add a new page. Okay, so four shapes pretty much the basic shapes that do you have over here. Ok, you can just drag over here and that you have a shape, right? That you have desks. Well, okay, so it's up to you on how you want your shape to look like. Okay, so we have different shapes over here, okay? And you can even have a graph. So if you want to start plotting something right, and then it gets plot the graph over here, I think you add a new page again. There's another cool feature. So, for example, that's just go and use a pen. Right? Let's make this call her black hair, though. Okay? So the cool they would incur Shape it once we have this selected, and then I'll start growing. Okay. Like shapes. Even though it's not perfect. What it will do, is it move, Modify it and then transform it into the closest, like best possible shape. So, for example, let's see, I'm making a triangle. So it's not the best triangle, right? It's a bit wavy on some of the lines, right? What? I released the mouse. It just magically gets transformed into a triangle. The same thing, the same way. I'm just making this and it just gets transformers. Well, that I see a circle. Okay, that's not Trickle. Let's try again. There you go. Right, Right. So it just smooths out the imperfections off my drawing. Right? So that's really, really cool. Okay. Okay. So for example, I'm making this smiley face so I could see over here, right? It just change. So, for Campbell, them dynamic into shape? No. What? I'm making it into a canvas right right now. Okay. So I'm just making a smiley face over here, OK? So you could just change this, Okay? And that's not really good, but it's really cool, because you can just make like, modifications to your shapes. If you want to get and a another thing, a swell. It's, let's say I'm gonna be changing this to text. So let's say I'm writing it out like Hello over here. And what I'll do is let's just use the lasso tool to select the entire text lenders an option called ink to text. What is going to do is whatever you've scribbled over here, it's gonna try to end life it and then change it into, like, type text, so sickness and it becomes Hello. Okay, so that's really nice if you're scribbling stuff and then let's say you just decided, okay? I wanted to look more like a type breathing document that you just used this functionality . And then one note handles the rest. Okay, so let's try and under one. That's why books I'm still using the lasso tool. So that's try Why? Okay, let's just try it out. And then that select using the lasso tool over here. Okay, Now it gets selected in there. Now it's just go, Inditex. So it's not exactly perfect, but I could just move this around, right? It's sale. Just cut this and it just move it over here. Okay, so you can see that it's not exactly perfect because it really depends on the spacing. But if your handwriting is more consistent than mine than one that won't have any challenges when it comes to converting your ink into text. 10. Search Tool: So let's talk about the search toe. So searching. It's very easy inside one. Not because usually what? We have selected ISS pretty much d notebook less. Right. So we said like a notebook. We go through a section, and then we go to a page. But if we want to search for specific content across all of our like notebooks, it's very easy. You just go straight to the magnifying glass over here. Show search. Right. And then you could just type in the text that you want to search for. Okay, So if we go for outline, right, already done my surgery, we're here. You can go into a specific notebook. Okay, But over here, I have all notebooks, so it's gonna be searching cross all off the pages, and this is the one that it got. So if I select this right, it's gonna go straight to that page. So it's pretty handy. But another thing issue can also search for tax. So let me just clear this curious out, and you could see over here, right? There's also the option to search by tanks. So, for example, if we're searching for our to do this for example, if you recall a while ago I've created to do items tagged them as to do so. If I select this to do right, it just shows me the items that I have tag has to do. So if I select this right, it goes straight to that page. And if you recall from a while ago this the list that I have So that's really handy because , for example, if you combine this with tax from a while ago over here in the home tab. So if we have our tax and it can create new tags, a swell so that they become searchable right when you try to look for specific stuff in the future. 11. OneNote Web Clipper: Now let's talk about the one note Web clipper. So imagine this scenario. Let's say I'm using my browser, which is chrome, and then I'm browsing the Web. I'm doing some research, for example, or I'm just looking for stuff. And one thing is, if I see something that I want to save in my one note, normally from a manual perspective, I would be taking a screenshot or maybe just highlighting text copy pace and then go to my one note and then pace it there. The cool thing with one node Web clipper. So it's very easy to search for it. You can just do a quick Google search, so I'm assuming right now that you might be using chrome, Okay, And then we could just go straight to the chrome Web store and K, and then you could see here one note that paper. Since I already have it installed, its this button is removed from chrome, but it would normally be install. Okay, so just click on install. It's very easy, and then it will go straight to your browser. And since I haven't installed, you could see on this corner over here, right? There's this one note bottom that I can use right away. So I'll just jump over to this page. Show this the page that shows up after you have installed one note Web clipper. Okay, so there's a couple off ideas to get started on. What can you clip from the Web? Travel, recipes, news, inspiration, research or even shopping. Okay, so what I'll do right now is let's just select this one and then see what's gonna happen. So it's going to try to clip right? You could see over here. Okay, this is the article selection you could change. Okay. The type off clipping that you want to happen, and then since I'm ready, signed into my one note. If I click on the location right, you could see over here. There's the quick notes. Okay, There's courses, there's meetings, and there's the books. Okay, so pretty much it waas able to load the notebooks that I already have. So if I open court, as you could see, like the familiar ones, the sections, right, we have the Microsoft Office section grouping. We have the sections of out the PowerPoint. Right. So it's up to you on where you want to say this. So, for example, let's just say I want to save it under excel. Okay, so over here, right, you have your selections. You have your article, right? You just want a bookmark. Just saved the link, okay? Or do you want a specific region so that let's say I just want this specific section that gets saved too. One note. Okay? Or do you want the full page? So you can also go for the entire Just save it inside one note so that let's say you're on the go right. You can take it with you and then continue reading. So it's very easy because everything's inside your browser and there's no need for you to jump over to the one on the application. Okay, So installed. It's very easy to insult. Also include the links so that you can install it on our browser. So what I'll do right now is let's go back here again. So we're good with region, right? Let's say we're good with this one. I'll just go for a clip, and then there's nothing else that you need to do. It's gonna be doing the heavy lifting for you. Okay, it's gonna clip the region, or it's just gonna say whatever selection that you have specified, right, And it's gonna go straight to your one note. Okay, so what I've done right now is have jumped over to our one or just to have a quick look. Did our clipping work in case I'm inside the courses notebook and then the excellent section. And if you remember, we still don't have any pages inside Excel. Okay, so what we did was we just took a section clipping right from the chrome extension. And then let's see what's gonna happen. So we have the entitled page over here, and then if you notice this one, this is a new page, and this is the one that we didn't create and was created by D Web Clipper. Okay, the one of the Clipper and the good thing. But this one is It's exactly as what we have done. Gators the link over here, right? Just to help you recall where you got it from. And then there's the specific screenshot or section that we hide at it. Okay, So install it in your browser so that it makes copy and pasting or whatever that you need to bookmark. Very easy to do 12. Share notebooks and pages: Okay, so let's talk about sharing notebooks and pages inside. One note. It's very easy to be able to share. Okay, so if you're familiar with the one drive okay, so there's the same concept that you could do. You could also share stuff you could share files for. Examples is the same concept this fall over here. So it's accessible here on the top, right on the share bottom over here. If I click on this. So right now what I have selected. Okay, Steve Kerr says. Notebook. So I could see over here. Send link off the courses. Notebook anyone with Lincoln at it. So if you want to do some collaboration, right? But if you just want to share, then you could also change right with the allow editing. There's also the expiration date. There's even a password. Us. Well, OK, so just to be sure that it's the intended recipient, so this is canceled. This let's say we're happy with this settings, and then you'll just type in the name or email address that you want to share the notebook . So same thing, a swelling. You can also send a copy off the page over here But why don't do is just to test it out, Okay? So I'm not gonna be typing in the name or even address. What I'll do is I'll just copy link over here. So it's going to create a share a bowl link that anybody with this link will be able to view and edit. Right? The courses notebook. So what I'll do is the biggest ready. I'll just copy it. And what I have open right now is on incognito window inside Trump. And then I'll just paste this in and go to that specific link that we have. Okay, so that we can have a look on how it looks like when we share it with another person, Kato. Now it's loading one note online. Okay, so I'm going to be discussing one of online A swell in a separate tutorial So you could see over here, right? The few is pretty much the same, and that's really cool. It's straight in the browser. You can do it on the marble for us. Well, on your mama browser. Right. And you'll be able to see the same content so you could see over here One note, right That say, Let's just show over to presentation. Fouls, right? So pretty much You could see everything as well, since the notebook was shared via the one note application. Right. So you could see the exact same thing on what we're seeing. Could see over here. Guest contributor, Right? Because I'm not allowed bin or anything. Okay, so it's very easy to share. If you just want to jump over and you sharing, just use the shared bottom on the upper right corner. 13. Print Pages: So one note. It's not just about taking notes, but you can also print them out afterwards. So let's discuss about trending the pages, and it's very easy to do so. So I'll just jump over to my work of art over here, Okay, And then let's say I want to print this out and you can access that quickly on the upper right corner. So I'll just click here and in select print. And then once we have that, you could just have the familiar settings. If you've used printing before, okay on Windows and you could just change the to your printer. Okay, the orientation, let's say to landscape right? And then how many copies and then the color mode. If you wanted to be in black and white and pretty much of scaling a swell okay, and then you could just go print and it's going to get out. Put it to your printer 14. OneNote online: Now let's talk about one note online. So let's say you were working on a computer and then you don't have the application installed. So it's very easy to access your one note notebooks because there's also the online version , right, the website that you can just go in on any browser and then be able to view your content. Okay, so I'm just going straight to one. Know that calm and then I'm ready logged in with the same account. That's what we've been using from a while ago. OK, so over here you could see right all of the notebook. So just to have a look on how it looks like let's just go straight to courses and let's go to one of our sections and pages that we've been playing around with. Okay, so now, once it's finished loading, could see a familiar like interface over here, right? It's very similar to what we're seeing if I jump over here right to what we're seeing over here as compared to the one note online, and the cool thing is, pretty much you could do the same thing over here. Just type and pretty much the stuff that we have been doing. And then whatever you doing here, right, it will get sink tests Well, to all the one node versions that you're using. So if I just jump over here, right, you'll see a familiar sight. Like, for example, the ones that do this that we've done right? The links that replaced here, even my work off art ISS include this Well over here. Okay, so just jump over to one note if you want that, like additional access to a different way off connecting to your one, not that looks just go to one note that calm and it's completely free. 15. OneNote 2016: Okay, So, person under free application that you could use, or another version off one, not which is called one No. 2016. So it's very easy to access dance. You just go to one note that com slash download, and then you'll be able to download it straight to your computer. And this statement over here, you could see doesn't expire. Use one note for us long as he likes. So there is a free version this well, but you might be wondering, Why would I use one No. 2016 over the Windows 10 version, for example? So what's the difference between the two so quickly? Walk you true that because I just want to point out the differences between the version and then based on that, you can decide on which one is a better fit for you. OK, but the good thing is their choices available for you to choose from because pretty much they're free. So it's up to you on which version that you want to use. So I'll just jump over to one of 2016 over here, same time lugged into the same account that we've been using then pretty much everything over here. The notebooks, right. The courses, the sections over here, Right? Even the section group. They're all synchronized. So I could see the same page is a swell that we've been doing from a while ago. Especially my work of art over here, if you're familiar with this. Okay, so they're synchronized. So there's nothing like no additional step that I need to do. I just need to log in with same account, and then I'll be able to view the same content that I've been doing. Okay, So what? I want to point out this. There are couple of different tests, especially with the layout, because over here, right, you have your notebooks on the left and then you have your sections on the top, right as tabs over here. And then you have your pages on the right, but pretty much leave functionality. It's the same. It's consistent, right? It's just in a different location. So you just need to maybe get some familiarity on the differences off where to look for it . So, for example, for the notebooks right over here and and ford it sections. If you want to add a new section, you just click this time over here. And then if you want to add a new page, then you just click the add page over here. Okay? So functionality wife, they're the same year the same. Okay, so it's just getting used to differently up. But what? I want to point out if there are some additional options that you could do with one No. 2016 so I'll just walk you. True that so first thing is exporting of notebooks. If I just jump straight to foul, okay, and then I click export. There's that selection off exporting the current page, the section or the notebook. And the cool thing with this one is if you want to have a back up on your hard drive, or maybe you're doing regular backups, for example, you could just export everything and then save it to your hard right? Worse, a different location. Okay, so very handy to create backups and the next I want to discuss about the insert tab off one No. 2016. So if you're familiar with the Microsoft Office applications, let's say you're using word your using Excel. Then this insert tab would come up as something as familiar to us? Well, because there's more options he could see. So, for example, so there's even record audio over here, right? Inserting a day, time, date and time. Okay, so there's more options, but it's very close to what you're seeing inside the Microsoft Office applications. So that's where the insert tab. Next thing is, I want to discuss about the history. So for the history, because anything over here is you can access page versions quickly from Death tap. So let's say let's go to the course outline. Let's see what happened over time. So I'll just select page versions over here, right? If I select page versions, he could see over here like started with a blank slate, Okay. And then I started anything. And the next thing is I added more stuff over here. So the cold thing is, he could just go over quickly on the history off the changes. Okay, If you want to undo or you want to review on what has changed over time, then this is perfect for you. So it's just close this I'll just click on here and then I'll go high page versions. So I'm back to our original view. Okay, so that's for history. Next one that I want to show is for drawing. So let's go to the draw tab. And there's a different option that we haven't seen in the Windows 10 version, which is this one Inc to match. So that's saying, Let's just add a new page for here and then I'll just try drawing some stuff. That's a one plus two. Okay, so what we'll do is let me just use the lasso select so you could see right. The functionality is exactly the same as what we've been doing with Windows 10. But let's use the Internet and see what's gonna happen. If I use into Matt, it's gonna convert it to D right. It's like text, right? But it's more focused towards numerical expressions. And if we're good with this one, it's going certain, right? And it gets changed to one plus two. But according with this one, if I select this again right, let's say you're writing algebra, right? Neil, is your break expressions right over here? Okay, so I'm just making this up. I'm not even sure what the answer would be. Okay, but the cool thing is that you're having trouble or challenges like the exponents or fractures. For example, then this makes it very easy to you. If you're teaching somebody and met, for example, then this is perfect. Okay, you can use the intimate function so that you just write it out instead of typing and out. And then why not will do the rest for you. So once we're good, it's going to hurt. Okay? And then we're good to go. Okay, then just remove this because that's the one that I did it from a while ago. This is perfect. Okay, so next thing is for review. So I'll just jump back here to our course outline. Let's go to review. And then there's an option called spelling. So this is similar to the office is a using word, right? And then you want to have a quick spelling check off everything receiving their salaries. Okay, There's also research option. So for spelling, let's eat, miss Type something. Okay, over here. Or let's say this just changed things to this one, OK? I'll just go for spelling, and then it's gonna do the suggestions for you. So one notice. Fine. Can you just ignore this and there's the thank you. So its able to suggests what are de corrections that you could do over here. Okay, spending check is complete, we're good and it's now keen. Next thing is for review. So for review can also go for password protection. So if you want to set a password, then you can do it. Swell for the section over here so you could see current section section. One note for Windows 10 isn't password protected. Then you can set a password so that you can restrict access. A swell. Okay, so that's pretty much the quick overview for 10 2016. So it really depends on your needs on what you see over here. Then you could just decide one or 2016 or one note for Windows 10 for you, but pretty much the core functionality it's there, and it's up to you to decide on which version is better for you. 16. Thank You!: Thank you so much for taking this course. Okay, So if this has brought value to you and you have learned something new piece, leave your feedback as well. Okay, so just click on. Sure. And then you could just give your honest feedback to other students can also discover this class. Okay, So what I have here opened, it's actually one of my classes. If you want to learn more about what I'm teaching at the moment, just click on the link over here, right? My name is over here. Just click, OK? You just scroll down and you could see over what in my up to okay with my profile. And if you just scroll down, we have over here a lot more courses that I teach to you. So if you're more curious about Excel Goodness, I have a lot off Excel stuff to teach you. Okay? Shortcuts. Park re. Okay, par be. I accept formula. This are few to sequel. Okay, for data basis, writing sickle Caries. Check it back up a swell. Okay. And I'll be able to show you a lot more on what you can learn. Okay, So thank you so much again for taking this class. And don't forget to live on honest review
