About This Class

d3eb654d

  • Do you want to go to University and study finance or economics for a brighter future in a highly paid industry and need to brush up on statistics? Try my course on Mastering Statistics-the mathematics behind analysing and interpreting information. The benefits will be a solid understanding in the fundamentals of statistics so you can confidently study a Finance/Economics/Commerce degree or even master statistics in the final year of high school. Are you a corporate professional and want to upgrade your skills in your finance or marketing profession to include statistical analysis? Then this course is for you.
  • In this course you will learn the fundamental of statistics. I'll show you how to make all the important statistical calculations including the mean, mode, median, range, interquartile range, deciles, percentiles, standard deviation and Z-score and then apply these to interpret data and make conclusions.
  • I'll also show you how to graph data beautifully using a range of statistical displays including frequency tables, histograms, polygons, sector graphs, box plots, dot plots, divided bar graphs and stem and leaf plots. You'll also learn how to describe a data distribution based on the shape of the frequency graph. We'll also take a look at how to classify any type of data, random sampling, and predict animal populations.
  • Then we'll cover the normal distribution and Z-scores to compare performances, describe correlation between two variables on a scatterplot when we are trying to work out if there is a relationship between two variables, and how to construct and form the equation of a regression line (line of best fit) algebraically and using regression mode on your calculator.
  • At the end of this course, you will be able to confidently pursue further studies and upgrade your skills in the finance and research industries, applying the skills learned in this course for a brighter future in a highly paid industry.
