1. Course Introduction : hi and welcome to the full and complete course of mastering calligraphy in two weeks. My name is Angel Energy MP. I'm a multidisciplinary artist and calligraphy enthusiasts and I will be your teacher and guide for the next few weeks as you master and develop your craft of vote and brush tip calligraphy. So I wanted to start off by just addressing some questions that you guys might have before you start the course. By now, You guys, they're all probably wondering what exactly this course has to offer. So before even move forward, I just want to make a disclaimer so that everybody's on the right page. I want every one of you to know that this course requires time, effort, attention, persistence and discipline. It requires continual effort on your part. And if you're looking for a quick fix and this is not the course for you, this course will push you and all provided was all that you need to know about calligraphy and focal a graffiti so that you can master calligraphy in half the time that I spent and in half the time that many and most people spend learning the craft. So if that is what you are ready to invest yourself in, then you can proceed 2. Skills You Will Acquire: therefore things that I want to address these four things are the four most important skills which we will develop and cultivate by taking this course the first, it's vocal graffiti. So this is the sub step that I was talking about info. Calligraphy. We will learn about the various shapes and lines that make up the body of each letter in calligraphy by understanding the foundational building blocks which are the lines, the up down strokes, the thickness and thinness is of the letters. We can better understand how to know. Emulate that when were doing brush, calligraphy and more important need. We can better understand why brush calligraphy letters look the way that they do. We will also learn brush tip calligraphy, which I presumed to be the end goal for all of us. This is what we all want to learn. But focal Griffey is just like a bonus or an additional point that we will also be learning . The angle, however, is brush calligraphy, so we will learn about the various strokes which make up, um, brush calligraphy. This is this includes the up strokes, the down strokes, the horizontal strokes and you're also master brush calligraphy, not only in the letters, so in the letters of our alphabet. But we will also apply brush calligraphy to numbers, which you will see that around is very interesting and just so beautiful. So amongst the skills there, two other ones. The third school we will learn is by far one of the greatest skills you can ever master in a choir in your lifetime. This is self discipline. Creating discipline and staying committed and having perseverance is one of the greatest assets of business owners, entrepreneurs and just anyone that's looking forward to cultivate something or to yield of a new abundant crops. And if you want to use an abundant crop in your calligraphy journey, I suggest investing a lot of time and effort into your craft. This includes daily practicing, completing all the worksheets, right, pushing yourself, challenging yourself when you don't understand, ask questions, research, YouTube videos. Another skill, which we will learn and cultivate during this course, is confidence. Confidence is one of those vital life skills, which we all need because it doesn't denote cockiness or bravado or being bold. Confidence is learning how to trust ourselves and trust in our abilities at all times. Despite the hardships, obstacles and even stresses that come with certain processes in situations, this course will be evidence and substantiation to you that you can do anything you put your mind to. 3. Course Outline: But during this course we will start with a brief introduction. So the introduction will first begin with a brief overview of the history of calligraphy. Then you look at the course materials which we will need to start and complete the course. And there I will actually give you guys to list the one. This is the mandatory items and then the second, this will be items that I highly encourage that you invest in because these items will really be worthwhile in the long run. So after we look at course materials, we will then check out a few rules and steps that we need to know in order to know the basic up strokes down, strokes, horizontal strokes, all of that stuff so that we can start calligraphy. After we got those rules and steps down, we're now gonna move into full calligraphy. So we will look at basically how to do full calligraphy and then we'll go in and it step by step one on one for each letter, drying the letter info, calligraphy and then after we mastered folkloric if you were then gonna look at brush Pinkel if you were just brush calligraphy as they call it. Once we finish brush, calligraphy and everything is completed and understood, we're then gonna move on to calligraphy numbers. We're going to apply everything that we've learned thus far to our numbers. And you're going to see it's gonna be so interesting just so beautiful. So once we finish with our numbers, we can then move on to the project at the end. And also I forgot to mention. But in between the lectures for focal eager feet and brush calligraphy and the number calligraphy, you guys will have some exercises and little challenges to kind of challenge your skill set and make sure that you guys are learning. And also practicing on top of your daily practice is okay. So, guys, let us begin with a brief and short history of calligraphy. I will see you in the next sector, but by 4. Brief History of Calligraphy: Okay. Now let us look at a short and brief history of calligraphy. But before we start off, what exactly is calligraphy? To understand this, we can look at the Greek meanings of each word. Calligraphy is actually derived from two Greek words Carlos, meaning beauty and graph, which is Greek for two, right, so together calligraphy denotes the art of beautiful writing. Calligraphy is the skillful and harmonious execution of lettering using a brush and or any other kind of lettering tool. Now that we've got that jotted, let's move on to the history of calligraphy. Throughout the expansion of peoples and mediums, this delicate craft has grown into many styles, all of which are unique and different in their own way. Its history is a vast it interesting one. As Mads communication progressed, so did his tools are brushes and quills became the medium's by which our individuality became known and expressed. And hence this wide range of diversity was also paralleled with the development of progressive tools from quills, Old depends, ink brushes and Islamic columns toe are more modern fountain pens and brush tips. Calligraphy have traversed a long way. The earliest record of calligraphy was dated at 680 it was that of Roman calligraphy. Like many others who practice Western calligraphy, Roman calligraphy was recognized for its use of the Latin script, which first emerged in Rome. Often these letters were carved in stone and painted on walls. Four centuries later, Asian calligraphy emerged with Japanese calligraphy, Mongolian calligraphy and even Korean calligraphy. However, the most notable calligraphy style was that of the Chinese. Unlike the Western calligraphy, Chinese calligraphy was noted for its use of brush and ink. Fun fact. Did you know that Chinese calligraphy emerged after the development of both Japanese and Korean calligraphy? I know it probably wouldn't have existed had it not been for those tooth years after calligraphy took yet another turn on Lee, this time in Africa with the Abyssinian Empire, which is known as today's modern day Ethiopia, this lettering style was known by the name of Aramaic, and it was used by both Ethiopian and Eritrean people's as both a writing form and a language system fun fact. Did you know that the Ethiopian calendar system is eight years behind hours? Right now, it's not 2020 but 2012 further down the line. There was the use of column, an Islamic calligraphy, which was often written in the native language of Arabic. The language in which the Koran was written in this wouldn't instrument was often cut at the top and was preferred in bamboo. Finally, around the 14th century in Europe, a new script came into play. Caroline a minuscule. This font was in its prime during the event of the French emperor Shower mind Second shelter mine at that and was often used by scribes to keep records of events and often to create books. 5. Course Materials : before we begin. It is important for us to establish the materials which we'll need for our course. For that reason, I have included two lists for you guys. The first list which I've provided, is a list of mandatory items and materials which you will all need to both start and complete the program. The second list is a list of items which I highly encourage you all to purchase and invest in just so that you guys can take your calligraphy further and so that you can challenge yourself to use new materials later on course materials part one. In this part of our lecture, we will be looking at items which you will need to both start and complete the course without any of these items. You cannot proceed further. These items include either preferred pen or pencil of your choice. So this will be any pencil or any pin. I could use a mechanical pencil. You could use a colored pencil. Already there wouldn't pencil any pencil of your choice or a pen just so that we can start up by writing regular letters. For the next part of the course, you will need a non Nick Marker and the non Nick marker, which you all need to purchase, is one of the Corolla thick markers. I'll put an example right here, and so your marker, your Crayola murder should look just like this marker or could be a smaller size, but with the exact same tip course materials Part two. For this part of our lecture, we will look at items which I highly encourage that you invested. So the first item on this list is calligraphy markers and the calligraphy markers, which we will be looking at our foot in escape brush pens. So the food and escape brush pens are these really, really kind of like medium small size brush pens, which are very easy to manipulate. If you are going to invest in a food new ski brush pit, I would say by two of them. So by a soft tip and a heart tip, and just to be on the safe side, I would even take it a step further by saying, Purchase two of each. So too soft tips and to heart IBS. And this is simply because they can run out a bit quickly if we're using them quite often. The next item I have on this list are look, Tomball jewel brush pens. And these brush pens are just probably one of the staples that many people purchased for calligraphy purposes. And these Russians are on the larger side in comparison to the previous item, which we saw the food. No escape brush pens. Tom Bo Brush pens are long lasting, and they have to tips. They have a calligraphy brush tip, which is gonna be thick, which you can use to do calligraphy. And then they have also a finer um, point tip, which is used to just write regular letters in it on your page or whatever, and they are just amazing. So for the trouble to a brush friends, I suggest purchasing at least 3 to 4 markers, depending on your price range and what you're comfortable buying. Um, and out of these 3 to 4 markers, I would say purchase at least one black marker because most of your calligraphy will be done using black, like most people do calligraphy, and I would have been taking a step further by staying purchased at least two black marker , so that if one runs out, you always have another one in the back. So now let's move on from markers and writing tools and let us look at our third item on the list. This item is a bill journal, and for the bullet journals, you can choose any bullet journal of your choice any regular Bill Journal will do. I would also push and see If you want something a bit more sophisticated, I would say Invest in a leage term 1917 bullet journal. These books are probably one of the best. Build your own books on the market. I know for me, I like them better than all the other ones I purchased us far, as do many others, and these journals are just amazing. You can choose a soft cover or hardcover, and you can even get your pages in a blank format in a squared format in dotted so that you can craft your journal to your own needs. Now that we've covered Oliver items on our materialist, we can move on to Colligan Fuels. I'll see you in the next lecture 6. Calligraphy Rules: starting off calligraphy rules. In this part of our lecture, we will look at the various strokes which comprise calligraphy letters. Okay, so hi, everyone. And welcome to today's video on cartography rules. In today's video, we will be looking at the various strokes which comprise calligraphy letters, both in brush, calligraphy and in full calligraphy. So on this paper, I have divided my page into two on my left side. Here I have down strokes and on my rights that I have non town strokes. So before we get into down strokes and non down strokes and calligraphy, let's actually find out what a down stroke in a non down stroke is. So a down stroke is basically any type of stroke which moves are pen or pencil down to awards us or towards the bottom of the page. And in contrast, a non down stroke is any stroke which moves or pen or pencil away from us or, um, in any other direction. Other than down, so moves an upward to the page movement across the pays to the left, but it moves are pencil or pen in any direction but downward. So that is the difference between a non down stroke in a down shop. So now let's look at how a down stroke in a non doubt stroke apply to folk longer feet and brush calligraphy. So I'm gonna start with my left side being the down stroke and on my left side, I hope I have already started with an example. Letter h. So how will I know if letter H is comprised of a down stroke? Well, I could serve by just writing the letter h so down. Whoa. So as you can see, the first trip I made was downward. Okay, that's a down stroke. That's another down stroke. That is not a down stroke, because I didn't move my pen towards me or at the bottom of the page, so this would be a non down stroke. However, these two are down strokes, so I just circled these two. So I know that they are down strokes. And now what I'm doing Focal Eager fee. I always start off by writing the letter. And then what do I do? I add I add thickness or add an extra layer to the parts of my letter which are basically down strokes. So in my case of letter H there to down strokes. So I have to add Thinking is both to the sides and in the side. And then I leave it and I can just color. It'd so as you can see, that looks like pretty much like a brush calligraphy age, I would say So now what can we note about down strokes? Info? Calligraphy? Well, I know that the down strokes and folklore review of the thickest part. So down strokes for one, As a general, rule down strokes are always dick. Always think Oh, put. And in folk, Allegra, fee down strokes are the thickest part, right? So what do I do to make a down sugen? Full calligraphy, I add I add to the down strokes. And what my add into it. I'm betting this extra layer. Okay? And in contrast with our non down stroke, what did I do for this non down shrink here? How do I make a noun down? Stroke info. Calligraphy? How does it look? Well, as you can see here, it looks exactly the same as it once was over here. And what do I do to make a non dump truck info calligraphy? Nothing. Because it stays the same. This horizontal line didn't change. Remained the scene. So info calligraphy. We do nothing to create a non down stroke. So I'm gonna move on now to brush calligraphy. And how a down trickle looking burst critical fee with the letter H. How do we how we create a down stroke in rush calligraphy? I'm still sticking with my letter h. So I'm gonna start off by doing these two lines, but more to do them. I'm applying pressure to create the thick down stroke. And I have another down stroke I'm creating. I'm applying pressure, pressing hard on this brush tip. And now I'm left with ah, horizontal lying, which is a non down stroke. Okay, well, for this one, I know what needs to remain then. And I don't do anything to it. So I'm gonna tread very lightly and a monitor my best to apply little to no pressure. I don't. I basically want to make it seem as though my pen or this brush tip is not even touching the pencil. Of course it has to touch the pencil, but very lately, so I'm just going to like hold it up and they could be very careful tonight. Apply any pressure. Okay, so one more time. Pressure, pressure trendline me very lately. Okay. So what is it that we do to create a down stroke in brush? Calligraphy? Wait. Apply pressure. Okay. And in contrast with, they're not down stroke here. What did I do? I applied no pressure. Like little to no pressure. I say no pressure because you don't want toe. Add on to it that create forces that it creates a thick line. But at the same time, same time. You want to play a little bit of pressure Because you want to make a mark like you don't apply pressure. But you're still turned to touch the page rate. So now that we've got that down, we can say info, calligraphy and non down Stroke is then because what do we do to it? Would you? Nothing. It stays the same. Nothing. So we leave it alone and in brush. Calligraphy? How do we create a non down stroke? What we saw with the letter H year. We apply a little to know pressure. You tread light me. Okay, so now what I wanted you here is I'm just simply going to do an example here using a number , because I think it would be better for you guys to have experiencing how to do a number on how to do a letter. So I've chosen the number two here, So we're going to start off with folk calligraphy and, as we said, or year and folk lottery clicker fee, we start off with the by writing the letter of the numbers. I'm just reading number two and I'm gonna find out. Okay, so I went up here. That's not a down stroke, so that's not a down stroke. I went down here. That's the down stroke. And here I went this way. So I moved to the side. So that's a horizontal stroke. It's not down. Not down. Strokes basically are any stroke that does not move our pen or pencil toe towards us or down towards the bottom of page. And they usually are composed of horizontal stroke or um, horizontal curve or just regular curves and flares and upstroke, so usually horizontal up strokes and flares. Any type of curve or flair is a non down stroke, and that's why they're so light. When you see Children calligraphy and they do all these players and spirals, those parts are not very thick or dark because they are not down strokes. They're thin. So we've got that job here. We have two non down strokes and we know that info. Clip your feet down. Strokes are the thickest part, and the not down strokes basically are the parts that we leave alone. So I'm not gonna do anything to this in this. But I do want to add to here because it's a down stroke and you have to add that extra layer. So I'm just going to create a curve and note that the curve is in a straight line. You go with the shape of letter or the number, and then once I have that, let me just bring this here and then I'm just gonna fill it in. Okay, so that's for calligraphy number two. Normally, I would basically do this and then this and this year usually curve the bottom and then I just finished by coloring it in. Okay, so now let's do brush. Calligraphy number two. So what am I going to do? Is the parts that require for me to apply pressure. They're down strokes. Some apply pressure there and the parts thrown down non down drugs such as this top and this bottom line I'm going to turn lately, so I'm gonna start light pressure. No pressure down did no pressure horizontal curve and I'm done. That is my full calligraphy number two. So, guys, I will conclude with a short summary of non down trucks and down Schaub's and on the following side. You will also find a short, summary table, so you can also consult that if you need to. But down strokes are basically any stroke that moves their pen or whatever. Lettering, too we have down to the bottom of the page. That's what's called down, and it is always thick when you are doing brush calligraphy. There, the six strokes that are very dark and they're the parts which are also thick because we add to them info calligraphy. If you want to remember how down truck should look, just think about down like men. They have very low voices, like down and it's deep and it's very like heavy. It sounds heavy, so just think about applying pressure and things being heavy and very dark. Um, when you think about a down stroke, and that should help you to remember how it should look so down shocks, move your pen to the bottom of the page. There always thick info calligraphy. We create a down stroke by adding an extra layer to it. And in brush calligraphy, we create a down stroke by applying pressure to that down stroke. In contrast, we have non down strokes, thes air, any type of stroke, which moves are pen or pencil any in any other direction. But downwards of these basically are usually up strokes. Horizontal strokes or flares and non down shocks are always light. We're always then, I should say, And how do you create a nod down stroke and full calligraphy? We do nothing at all. We just leave the stroke that we've written like the same. We don't add any layers. We just leave it alone and a brush calligraphy. It's kind of the same principle, since it's a non down stroke. It's not a down stroke, so just think about what we did to the down stroke. We're not gonna do here here. We applied pressure So. Since it's not a gunshot, we're not going apply pressure. And we want to turn very lately to create that. Then, like so, Guys, this is the end of this part of the video. I will see you in the next part of our course. Bye for now. 7. What is Faux Calligraphy ?: hi and welcome everyone in today's class, we will be looking at what, exactly? Focal if he is, as well as focal Griffey letters. So before we start off, I didn't want to touch on what exactly four Kagera fee is, especially for those of you who don't know what it is or what it entails. So folk Allegra fee, as its name suggests, is false. Brush calligraphy, right? And it's a way that basically we can mimic brush calligraphy without actually having to use a brush tip or a brush lettering tool. So that is what brush calligraphy is. So now that we understand that and that we've got that jotted down, let us get into our letters A until F. 8. Faux: A-D: So before I begin, I'm just going to do a quick letter, a using brush, calligraphy. And then we will try to model and break down the body of the letter in order to properly draw it using full calligraphy. So let's start. So I'm just doing the down stroke, an upstroke in a down stroke and then a flare at the end. That's from the upper case. A down, up, down, up. And this is for my lower case. So now I'm just going to break down how the shape is. And, as you can see on the strokes that I went downwards on their thick, the upward strokes are thin. The down shocks are thick, so it's almost as if I added a second layer. All right, It's almost as though I made this thick and this part of the ace almost a so I drew this down part here and made it thick and then just colored it in. Similarly with the lower case. If, as you can see right here on the down stroke on this down stroke over here, it's pick and the same thing with the ending stem over here, it's thick, So what we did basically, is we kind of just added a thick part to it. And I will show you guys what I mean by this Stig part. So start off by just actually writing the letter. So in our case, I'm going to start off with braiding the capital aimed and then a stick, and all I'm gonna do is I'm gonna know the parts that are down strokes, and I'm going to want to make that those parts, like bold or thick and the parts that are up strokes or non down strokes. So those are like up strokes and horizontal strokes. I'm gonna just leave them. I have no business of them. So I went down on this part and on this part as we saw in this example. And so all I want to do is I'm going to just add that three d layer to its own. Just gonna I had to that and follow the curve. So note that when I did this a I didn't just do like a straight line going down. I did look a curve, right, so it looks very natural. And then I just ended there, and once I'm done I can color it in. We have a pen. You use a pen? Whatever tool you have. Pen, pencil marker. Um, yeah, pen, pencil marker. I'm just If you're using the marker, make sure it's one of those non leak ones. Just so doesn't mess up your results and feel everything in. Make sure everything's colored in and filled in and you will see that you have something very similar to that example on the left. So that is for uppercase. Aim for lower case, A same process. We're just going to right right out the letter. Just feeling this part in. Okay, So basically, it's like you just fill out the letter, you write the letter. So I'm writing Lord, he's a and then I'm just going to add thickness to it. So another thing that I mentioned is that they're too. That I forgot to mention was that there are two ways to add thickness. You can add thickness either from the inside, so that would be like just adding a layer and inside and then making this part dark. But on most cases you would have sometimes you would have to add on the inside and on the outside. Like, for example, of this part here I'm gonna add to the bottom part, but behind the line. Okay, so it's whatever it works best for you. And you kind of see, like sometimes I add on the front and back. Sometimes they I do both. I had on both the front and on the back. So that's our letter A, um are uppercase and lower case A. So now we're going to move on to the letter B. Okay, So for letter B, all I'm going to do for letter B is, um, similar toe A. I'm gonna start off with the brush calligraphy model, and then we're going to see how we can emulate it. So starting off with one stroke down stroke, and then I'm going up my lower case to be. And so now if you break it down, we'll see that the bottom part here sick. But the back here this line is thick and on my down strokes here sick. And here it's thick. My up strokes, like on this loop or thin. I'm stuck on this and going up instead. And right here, going at the top, it's because it's an upstroke. Similarly, with lower case be, that's thick. We're gonna add to that and add to that. So now we're going to just try to build it. So what does that look like? You start off by reading the letter, so be in cursive and then all unwanted you is I'm going to add on the down strokes. That was a down stroke. So I'm just going to do this to it. And this was a down stroke, So I'm going to on and of it. Purvin. When you add no straight lines occurred, you want to follow the shapes and the letters, natural curves. So you just curve it. We're not doing adding anything to this loop we're going to right here. When this part goes down again, we're going to add to it and bring it right back toe under the sleep, okay? And that's how we do that. Let's do baby be before we color it in. That's baby me. What we're doing is we're adding to it. So, as I said before you can do in the front were behind it doesn't matter what side you add to like I could I'd to this side that was on this side. Some people could add here in the middle, could do line here. I prefer to do it on just whatever side works best. So I'm gonna do at the back. And I'm actually but add in the front, I feel like the lines a little too skinny and then the next part is you just color it in. That is upper case be and lower case be. So let's move on to, um, letter C so would let her see, um, and as you'll see this later on, I mentioned this many times in the other courses and in some of the other lectures up ahead . But letter C is one of those letters that I can't just write the letter. I really have to, like, do a stem or stick just to find the position, like warming to begin, because it's like a circle. And I think like many of us, we've had a hard time, Um, just drawing circles or even attempting to dress circle. So I always start off with a flare in my letter sees or with a little stem, just so I actually no, What? I'm doing warm going with this so would let her see. As you can see in our previous examples, all I'm going to do is I'm just adding a thick part to the down strokes. And these were the only down shocks and letter C. So when I do, let her see, I just do my cursive. I just add behind it following the curve, and I just fill it in. And, as you can imagine, uppercase use similar to Lower Casey. I'm just starting off by drawing. Do using a brush tip. I'm just gonna fix this area here. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. In the beginning, you are going to make mistakes. And you might not be as fluid with the brush or fluid coloring things in or making straight lines. But just keep practicing. Stay at it. And I promise you, you will see results. It really takes time to actually be come, like, good at full calligraphy and calligraphy. All good things take time. So now that we've done brush calligraphy letters, I'm just doing Misty over here. And I know that that is a down stroke, so I can do it from the back or in the front. So I'm gonna prefer doing it in the back, and I'm gonna add a little bit more front like this by bringing it in, and I also have a down show this way. So we're adding extra layer to that down stroke, and then we just color it in. It's on all the I'm just gonna fix it a bit and you can also just always fixed and do little touch ups like after you do your extra layer. If you feel like it doesn't look clean to you or you feel like maybe it's little too thin, you can always just add a bit more from the front or in the back wherever it needs. And then I'm going to add the horizontal curve and just had because to the down troops, so, as you can see, added a down stroke to the first lines backside and to the in front of the second line so you can just play around and see. Maybe sometimes, if you realize if you add it to the back of two lines, it might make the letter look too wide. And if you add too much, if you other layers to the front, it might make the letters to Stine. So I added one to the front and went to the back, and then you just fill it in. As you can see here, I'm just coloring this in all the way. Every single spot colored in and just fixing this part here. And there you go. I should feel okay. So now we're going on to lower case H. So we have to down strokes in nor kissed age one. That makes the stem. So I'm just going to start off by during the lower case age, and I just start off with a swirl all the time. And then yes, there we go. So I went down on the first stroke up and then down. So what I'm want to do is I'm just going to add a layer to the first part and defense to that down. So there. And I'm just going to fix that. And then color, it'd I'm just curry in. Okay, so now the lower part of the down stroke. So I'm just coloring this pertinence well and trying to make it a bit curved. They're so looks more natural when I bring that less, they're up. So that's age. The next thing we're going for is the letter I. So, for letter I what I usually do is I just kind of start off with a two horizontal curves and then just like a down stroke in the middle. So there's only one down shock for the upper keys in it arrive. So I just do this here. The curve, a second curve and in the down stroke. And then, baby, I start with a little flare down stroke and a flare, and then the little cherry on top. And I'll just to let J. I'll do lower Case J where a little cherry on top and I also do let her change so uppercase k will do. Don't joke. And then lower case K is quite similar. So also the loop and then down stroke. So K is basically the same upper case and lower case, and they really don't. It really doesn't change whether it's, you know, opera. Few surface of the same. And I'm just gonna add thickness to the down stroke, which is right here. So I'm just gonna go down and add the layer on the down stroke and then just fill it in. I bring this flare out, Al do Lord Chase J and then add the lay on the down stroke by following the curve. And then now we can add the circle on top and then now we're gonna do is just shade and color it in even a marker or a pen or pencil choice. We're gonna fill in all the gaps here. Okay, so that's uppercase J. You filled in all the gaps. So now we're just coloring the circle of baby J and just pulling me bgn following the natural curve and there we call. So that's J. And I'm just using my pen to correct some of the little stuff there. So now let's move on to letter K. Were just writing it during the loop and adding thickness, the down stroke. So we have a down trick at the back so that a layer have another one there and another one that's down. So we're adding a layer downward by following the curve and down shook on the up part by just following the curve. So extra layer And there we go and we're doing lower case k. Same procedure blue down at thickness to the down, stroke at the back. And then we're gonna add bigness to the down in the right there, extra layer and a down show. Great there. And now we're gonna do is just color it in the marker and try not to get too close to Luke because you want to show that there is a look there. And if it's too close, that kind of makes it look kind of choppy. And so now we're gonna add thickness and I mean not thickness. We're gonna fill in the front part of the better key. Just add their color, and then something for the lower part of K. Just fix this up. And then there you go. Okay, so now we're gonna move on to Lower Case came falling in all car about the gets. I'm just gonna fix this part here now, with lower case Emam adding an extra layer on the down stroke. We moved up and then down. So an extra layer on this town stroke and then same thing you move up and then turned downward. So an extra layer on this down shirk and now we're just gonna fill it in and make sure they're no gaps. So now I'm starting off with letter o. I'm just gonna right the upper case. Oh, and same thing with lower case all Sonam would look for where the down showcase. And I'm just going to add an extra layer there. So I have to down shocks one at the loop and white were there at the front. So right there at the loop, we're gonna add an extra there following the curve of the shape. And now we're moving on to baby Oh, on its sound stroke. So we're adding the extra layer and an extra there on the It's the same thing for the upper case and lower case. Just the only difference is that they both differ in size. So now we're going to color in our upper case in lower case Oh, using a brush tip, making sure refilling every single empty spot there, moving on with the letter p some just turning off by writing uppercase p and ending with the nice flair. And for lower case P. I start with a flair and then I also end blue flare. I'm just going to see that this is a down stroke, some adding an extra layer. Here I went Upton down So down shark on that part at the same thing for lower case P down over there, son. Extra there. Don't mind the flare that we went. We went up and then down. So an extra layer right about here and now we're going to do is just color that in using your pencil pin or whichever Marco you have do. I'm just gonna right the lower case and upper case letter Q starting with the upper case. And I'm just going to go over the down trucks and up strokes. So that's the down stroke. So that's thick, the extra layer. And then we went up and down, some adding an extra layer on this down sugary here and now the same thing with the lower case Q. So that's gonna have an extra layer. And then then down on this stem, So an extra layer and then on that flare going up, we went up. So leave it. So now I'm just gonna finish by filling in our letter Q every single part end and fixing it as I go along in case during that stick out or lines that are even or if I just need to make some parts sticker, I'm just gonna add and fix that using my pen, pence or brush tip do so that the letter looks very natural. That key was then. I'm just gonna finish writing letter are the upper case are? And now the lower case R. And I'm just gonna go over the strokes that I made so that I can see if they're up strokes down, strokes, horizontal, and add on to them or just leave them, depending on what type of stroke there. Faux: S-Z: welcome everyone to another foe Calligraphy lecture. So in today's episode will be looking at letters s to Z. So before we start off, I just want to say that I really hope that you guys have started to see some little progress that you guys have made in your focal Eager Feet. If you guys have stuck to the daily writing and daily practicing. So in today's video, we will be looking at letters s to Z. Let's hop straight into it. So I'm just starting off by writing the upper case and lower case that are us. And then after that, I'm just gonna trace it down and up strokes. So this is a down stroke. I'm gonna add extra layer, bring the flare out, and same thing here. That's the down show. So I'm just adding an extra layer next, gonna move on to letter T both upper case and lower case teeth. And after I finished doing the extra layers on my down strokes, I will then fill it in. So I'm starting with uppercase t just doing the horizontal curve and then a down stroke which will add a layer to later on. And now just my lower case, t. And right now, I'm just adding an extra layer on this down stroke and the same thing for this down stroke here out an extra layer. Next, I'm going to just finish it off by adding a horizontal curve. And now that I've got got those two done, I'm just going to fill them in using my brush tip, Pandora pencil, whatever you're using, starting with letter t and then awful in letter s. So now that I've done that s anti, I'm gonna now move on to a letter. You. So for letter, you I'm just going to start off by doing the capital letter. You as well as in lower case letter You just like that. And now I'm just going tickle and head and add a next earlier on this down stroke we went down here, so an extra layer and I'm just going to fix that bit. So there is a bit dicker and I'm gonna go ahead and add an extra layer on the stand stroke . And after we went down on their we did go back up and then down again, so so up and then down again. So good. I had an extra layer right here. And then we're just gonna fill both up. Accused in better lower case you in with my brush tip. The next thought they were going to move on to is that RV which we've been before. So I'm just adding an extra day or two this down show because we went down for that stick and then with the lower case, feeds the same concept because lower case never accuse are exactly the same. So on the down stroke right there and went out an extra layer and then that's it. That's all we do for V. And the rest were just gonna fill up using our marca pen or pencil. Usually two stroke should do for, like, the one they're like 1 to 2 strokes should fill it up. And I'm just fixing to make sure everything straight and is looking beautiful. So now I'm just gonna finish off by writing the remainder of letters. So w Z once again X why and last but not, D said. And I'm also gonna due to variations of zed like the Curse of Variation and also like just a regular when I do when I'm lazy sometimes. So you guys have two options. So now I'm just simply writing the uppercase w and lower key stubble. You, as you guys know, I always usually start off with a flair for the majority of my letters. And I'm just gonna write letter V both upper case and lower case V. And next, I'm simply going to go over the strokes and find out which parts were down up chad layers. So that was a down stroke. Someone add an extra layer here. And after I went down, I went up and then down again. So I'm gonna add an extra layer on this town show right here, and I'm just fixing it a bit. And it's the same procedure that we do on your case. W because it's the same shape. So down, stroke down, stroke and extra There on the cheek towns, troops. We went up, and then we went down on that part. So actually, over here, following the natural curve of the letter. So the next letter we will be doing is Letter X and for letter X, it's one of the letters that are actually very unconventional because it doesn't follow the up and down thick and thin rules of geography and said, We just start off by rating two diagonal lines and then on the diagonal line that goes down to the right. That's the line that we wide the extra layer on and then just fill in. And the reason it looks this way is because if you think about a word and you would have to connect a word, a letter to the letter um X. For example, if you're writing my x e x, the letter e would end and would connect to the thin part of the letter X. And because calligraphy consists of up and down shows, you would need a thick part to balance out the thinness. So that's why the down the diagonals, um line that's down to the right has to be fixed so that there's a thick and the thin part to make it look like calligraphy. So once you finish adding the extra layer to that down, right, like then we can just fill in with our pen pencils. But in my case, I'm using my brush tip, so just keep feeling it until they're no more white spaces and now moving on to the lower case X, which is the same procedure. You Okay, so the next letter that we will be looking at is why and for why? I'm just going to start off by writing, um, uppercase why and then lower case white. And then I'm just going to look at the up and down strokes and then add the extra layers to it. So the first part was a down stroke, which is why added that layer here and then we went up and then down. So I'm adding the actually earn this down stroke, and I'm just gonna do the same procedure for lower case. We went down so extra layer, then we went up and then we went down. So we're gonna add the actually on this down stroke, and that's also due for wide. So now you just go ahead with your brush tip pen or marker and fill it in until everything is for the normal spaces. And you can also fix it as you go along. Now I'm going on to letters said, and for letters that I am going to be showing you guys two different alternatives for letter said. The first said is a curse is a so said for like Natasha and the other said is just like a regular said That is, You said that I usually opt for whenever I'm in a rush or hurry, I need to write something quickly. I go to this one, Um, so we're just going to start off by writing the actual letter. So I'm only gonna do one, because both uppercase and lowercase look the same and next someone to go over the down stroke. So that's down. Which is why I'm adding an extra layer. Then I go up than down so down on this down, stroke an extra layer, and then it just means up and out. So that's just been a blessing to do there for the azar said. I just start off by writing it down horizontal curve. So the only down trick I had was this one here. So because of that, I'm gonna add an extra layer to it, and then I can add, like that little cross in the bowl in the middle or horizontal curve recon. Just leave it. So now that we've done that, we're just gonna fill in and just fixing it as I go along, making sure looks natural and the everything is following it's natural curve.
