And here's why, after several years of building automation is an active campaign, I've realized that beneath even the most threatening looking giant, enormous 45 step automation in reality lie the simplest of formations. If you really break it down. All automation simply have a start trigger, which is something that starts toe automation. And the stark is followed by a series of steps called actions. So if you familiarise yourself with the various sugars and learn how to use actions properly, you'll be building. Automation is by yourself in no time, and that's pretty much about it. Automation is from the left hand side of the screen by clicking the automation is Barton, which takes you to the automation overview pitch. From here, you can create a new automation, view our search for an existing automation, manage messages or view the automation zmapp to create a new automation. You can click the create an automation Barton on the top right off your page. Clicking that button loads the automation recipe. Vinda. Here you can start in automation from scratch or select from a list off pre made automation . Pre made automation range widely and are built for increasing engagement. Abundant card follow ups all the way to complete e course deliveries. The contacts can get a complete course delivered wir e mail Egypt contain. Even though active campaign offers, a pretty comprehensive list of automation is on its own right here. You can also import Automation Zberg by others by clicking the discover more recipes. Barton Looking this Barton redirects you to the active campaign marketplace that you have access to many more automation recipes created by user just like you and me. Once you become an automation master. You can also sell your very own ordinations in the active campaign marketplace. While many of these automation recipes are free, you do have some paid ones as well. Using a people automation template, either from active campaign or from its marketplace is an excellent way for you to save some time with automation. Zahra proven to work All you have to do after you import automation is customize it and make it your own. If you do end up choosing a pre birth automation template, Active Campaign has a set up wizard, which helps walk you through the entire automation. For now, let's go through the automation builder the way you would if you were building an automation from scratch. So I head back to the automation is overview Page and I click the start from scratch. Barton and I hit. Continue now, before we begin to build any automation, active campaign asks us to pick from these start triggers. A trigger is an event that starts off in automation. There are 20 different regards, an active campaign at the time of disregarding which trains from a contact subscribing or un subscribing from your email list, submitting a form opening and reading an email, clicking on a link in your email and so many more they're going to go through all the triggers in a pretty comprehensive A in one of the upcoming lectures on triggers, so I won't be going into too much detail for now. But just remember this. You need to pick a trigger to start an automation. With one exception at the border off your trigger screen, you'll see this line start without a trigger. Now, if you're thinking, why in the world would you have an automation that doesn't have a trigger? The start? Well, then, that's a good question. The start without the trigger option is often used if halfway through an automation, you want to move a contacto another automation. For example, you could have an automation to sell a product, which is a series of 60 mills now three males down. Maybe a contact goes ahead and poor chases the product. So instead of sending him or her through the remaining three sales emails, you shift the contact from that automation to another automation, which is an on boarding sequence which peaches your new farm customer to use the productive state. Okay, so once you've picked your start trigger and contact and does your automation, they then go through a series of steps within the automation. The steps was they go through our corn actions. As you can see, active campaign is prompting us to click the plus Barton and add our first action. While picking these action steps, you need to keep in mind your type of business and the customer journey that your customer will go through. When you click the plus button, it opens up this action window. Actions can range from sending an email sending an SMS to sending a notification email. Let's say two. Maybe your assistant or maybe some staff, or if you have a developer, and actions can also go all the way to un subscribing a contact from your list. If they don't engage with your emails for a while again, we'll have a dedicated lecture walking into all of the actions in one of the lectures that follow. So for now, let's move on. Once you've completed and selected an action in your automation, your automation will start building up in this draft. Barton, on top, will turn into an active Barton, which you can use toe. Activate your automation. For now, let me return us to our automation is overview page and let me show you a few options that we have there in the autumn Ations Overview page. The next thing that you should be aware off is the search function. You can use the search function to search for any automation. Apart from this, you also have other things such as filled over actions. Filter by status, which is if you're automation is active or it's inactive filter by label. We have a lecture coming up on organizing your automation, which is gonna talk a bit about this. And you also have many other ways in which you can organize your automation right next to each automation. We also have certain top level stats. For example, the first start shows is how many contacts are currently visiting the automation. The 2nd 1 shows us how many emails are being sent within the automation, and the 3rd 1 is the number of goals within the automation. Ah, goal is where you tell active campaign what the objective off your automation is, for example, to get people to click on a link in your email or conversions. Those are all goals from our automation is overview page. You can also access the automation sidebar where you can manage your messages. The manage messages view list all of the automation which have messages, and you can delete or edit messages as needed by clicking the arrow on the right. Lastly, we have the automation zmapp the automation zmapp gives you an overview off all your automation is and how they're connected. All my automation czar independent off each other, which is how I like them. But if they were connected, you would see an arrow showing which automation is connected toe which other ones. So that was a quick and I hope useful introduction toe are automation builder more coming up next? Thank you so much for joining me in this lecture. And I will see you in the next one. 3. Starting an Automation: Understanding Triggers: when you want any automation to begin, you have to give active campaign and instruction about how the automation should begin. The instruction for how in automation should begin is known as a trigger At the time of this recording. Based on the type of plan you have, active campaign has over 20 triggers. That's over 20 different ways in which you can begin any automation. You can also add multiple start triggers toe the same automation so that contacts meeting different criteria can be pulled into that single automation. To access these triggers from anywhere with an active campaign, you can go to the automation section on the left hand side menu. And once you click on that and the next page, lords click creating automation, and you can select start from scratch to continue Now, no matter what automation you would like to build, it always starts with triggers. So I'm gonna click, start from scratch and I'm gonna hit continue the pop up that opens up next has the various triggers which we can choose from. You can scroll down and see all of them individually or on the left hand side. You'll see that active campaigners categorized these into various different categories, such as behaviors and actions, e commerce, email and messages. Sales in CRM and where properties. I'm going to go through all of these briefly. But if you need any further help to understand what a particular trigger does, then you have a nice little pop up window, which pops up as soon as you hover over the question mark. I can. So let me scroll to the top and let me begin with our first trigger, which is subscribes to a list whenever contact subscribes to a list. It's very common to use this trigger to create an automation and shoot out the contact of welcome or a thank you. Email just is a greeting or a thank you for subscribing. You also have other common triggers, such as unsubs crepes from a list, or submits a form which can have various uses as well. Like I mentioned, if you Howard over the question mark, Active campaign will also give you other ideas in terms of other common uses for these triggers. My next favorite trigger is the open slash reading email trigger and clicks on a link in an email to uses most efficiently. I use customize subject lines and links in my email content so that when a contact opens my email off clicks on any of the links in my emails, I know exactly what subject to contact is interested in allowing me to follow up with related emails, increasing engagement with my contact as well as building trust. The next trigger is the webpages visited trigger, which is also extremely useful to track user behavior, and you'll have to have sight tracking enabled for this one. You can use this trigger to send customized email to contacts based on what pages they have visited on your site. Your personalized emails can contain relevant details to what the contact was browsing on your webpages, such as a coupon court for discount on a particular product or an abandoned cart reminder. Following the webpages visitor trigger, you have something similar to site tracking, which is the event is recorded trigger like the Veh peaches visited trigger. The event is recorded. Trigger requires you toe enable event tracking, which is a separate feature off active campaign. If you want to know how that works, simply click. The event is recorded. Barton and continue and you'll be ableto follow the instructions by clicking manager and tracking and be able to enable now for those were new to the marketing world. Let me explain how event tracking inside tracking are different, while its site tracking allows you to get details such as webpage visits made by your contacts on your website. Event tracking can help you get data about your contacts, which is much more granular, such as Not only can you track webpage visits made by a corn packs, but you can also track video views. Barton clicks orders in up behavior and so much more with event tracking new. Remember that this is a failure ones feature, and you'll have to create customized code for each event you would like to track on your website. If you're not familiar with any programming languages, active campaign certified consultants are available to help you out on the girl. Www dot active campaign dot com forward slash consultants. Another important thing you have to remember with both site and event tracking, Is that the only work? If a contact has filled out your form and entered active campaign, they will not work. If you're contact has been imported into active campaign from a CSP fight. Moving on, Let's click the back Parton. The next three triggers, which are the shares, an email, forwards and email and replies to an email, are all emails later triggers. Then you have the tag is added and tag is removed. Triggers. If you're not familiar with work tags are and how to add or remove them from a contact. Then based on what platform you're watching this I have several lectures on tags, and I suggest you go over those once you're done with this review. Next, the field changes trigger can start in automation when a field you specify is updated. Common uses. For this trigger our follow up sequences and to notify people in your organization that a field has been updated. After that we have the goal is achieved. Trigger goals are marketing objectives, which you can add toe Any automation beauty off. Adding this trigger is that it makes you ask as well as answer this question. What are you trying to achieve with this automation or what's your marketing strategy as a whole? Measuring goals on active campaign is a great way to measure the effectiveness off your marketing. Next, you have the date based trigger where if you have a business where you know the dates off your contacts such as maybe your contacts, board day or you have members with subscriptions expiring at a certain date, you can use the database trigger to send your contacts any date related emails skipping ahead We have the artists based trigger for those not familiar with our asses. It'll allow your contacts to get any updates, which you make to your online content. After that, we have a couple of triggers which cannot be seen here, and that's because they're locked and active. Campaign wants me to upgrade my account in order to use these. The 1st 1 is a site message. Trigger site messages are personalized messages, which you can sing when a person visits your website. After that, we have a conversion based trigger, which is also locked for me because active campaign wants me to upgrade my plan to the professional Enterprise one. In order to access this conversions on active campaign relate toe attribution features for those that may not be familiar with attributions, attribution simply means being able to measure what type of marketing activities had the most impact and led to a conversion. Then we have two triggers, which I'm sure e commerce marketers will be really happy with, which are the makes a purchase on abundance car triggers, which can be used to send maybe thank you emails or hey, you forgot toe purchase What you were looking at emails following these, we have the score changes. Trigger score changes referred to a feature. An active campaign. But you can give points to a contact based on any action or even in action. Think of scoring as Gamification for your marketing process. Contacts in rack up points, the more they engage with your emails and contain and allow you to know who your brand champions are. The Final three triggers are the enters a pipeline deal. State changes and deal state exchanges. They all refer to the CRM part of active campaign biplanes are active campaigns version of marketing funnels and do use the photo radius stages in these funds. Okay, so by now you must have a pretty good grasp off the various triggers that active campaign offers. But before we move on, I strongly suggest that you open up your own automation trigger window inactive campaign and familiarize yourself with all of the triggers that active campaign has to offer. Thank you so much for joining me in this lecture. I will see you in the next one. 4. Inside an Automation: Taking Action: like an artist uses pains to cultivate a blank canvas. I really enjoy working on automation is because, just like a piece of art, I can create mold and automation anyway, I would like. But when your new building automation can get a bit tricky because there's so many moving parts, you could employ goals. If else conditions have contacts entering and exiting your automation at various points and so much more with so much to keep a track off, it can get a bit overwhelming. So before we move forward, there are a few things I would like you to keep in mind. The first is that even though you may be faced with dozens of factions that you can perform , all you need to think about is which few actions will be the most useful to you. Well, your new simplicity is the way to go, and it's the best way to deal with building automation. The second thing I would like you to keep in mind is that for this lecture being, watch more Norton. Do more. Just observe and absorb all of the actions available, because knowing all the things that you can do will open up your mind toe all sorts of original ideas. When you start building your own automation, I promise the investment you make in familiarizing yourself with the ins and outs of actions is gonna pay off now and in the future. So let's dive in and see how actions really work. By now you know there to start in automation. The first thing that you need to do a select trigger to save us some time have already pre selected the subscribes to any list trigger. No, we will have hotel active campaign. What to do in a contact. Subscribes to one off our lists, so we go ahead and click the plus Barton and the action window pops up. This is where the magic happens. Let's go to our first category with the sending options. Consider the action window as the place where you're gonna select the various ingredients to Brill you automation recipe. So, for example, if a contact subscribes to any off your lists, you can choose one or more of these sending options. You can send them an email such as a welcome email or thank you email. You could also send them an SMS or Maybe you would like to send a notification email to someone else in your organization, perhaps someone on your team or another staff member about the contact. Having subscribe to your list as the final sending option, You can also instruct active campaign to send the site message when the contractors on your website. The site message option is only available for professional plans, though. Now yours. Dewey, I would like you to think about site messages, and SMS is with so much noise out there competing for your contacts Attention. The attention grabbing power off any individual platform has become pretty weak. So it's important for you not to rely only on email to convey a content you need people engaging with your brand in multiple ways. So the more points of contact you have, which include site messages, SMS is and even social media, the better. For you. It is if you want to add any of these actions to your automation, simply click or night option. For example, amorous Lex sending email and of a noble pop up for active campaign will prompt you with Waterloo next, such as create an email in this case in the following lectures. I'll be walking in through these action steps completely. So for now, let me just go ahead and see what actions we have available. Let me open the window again. Let's look at conditions and workflow. The first action we have in the conditions and workflow category is the weight option. When you select of eight option or the weight condition of window pops up to Radio Barton, the first radio, Barton says, wait for a specified period of time, and the 2nd 1 says, Wait until specific conditions are met. When you select wait for a specified period of time, you can select the stroke down Arrow, which shows you the active campaign will wait for days, minutes, ours weeks, months and even years before it performs the next action. Based on what criteria you give, the second option is read until specific conditions on it. Here, you can instruct active campaign to do a multitude of things. For example, you could tell active campaign to way to send a second email only after the contact opens their first team moving on. We have the all powerful if else treatment. The general concept off NFL statement is If a contact performs action? A. Then you tell active campaign to action Be so. For example, you could tell active campaign. Therefore, contact visits your lining page, then send them an email with her discount court of the productive Been viewing. Next, we have the split action. This protection allows you to test one entire automation workflow against another. It looks like an A B test for some of your corn tax scored on one pot and some another. At the end of the day, it allows you to keep in run. The automation will get you the highest number of open emails and the most customers or any other factor that you choose. Next, the Goto action will jump a contact from one specific point in your automation to another. Sometimes automation is may have multiple parts of branches. The Goto automation allows a contact moving down one part to skip the remaining automation and take on another part. So, for example, you could be sending a contact of CDs of females for them to buy your product and you tell active campaign that as soon as they buy, stop sending them emails and make the contact goto an on boarding email. Next we have the goal election. Our goal is the objective. Often automation, as in what is the automation? Trying to achieve the goal action can be used. Multiple ways is well similar to your go to option. You can jump to a related branch or a different automation when a contact achieves a goal. Or you can even do things like send the contact and up. Sell email when they have hit your goal. The next three actions all relate to automation related sequences. The start in automation action will start in automation. You specify when the contact teaches that step. The End and automation action is an indication that the automation ends at this point, even without the end. This automation action, though your automation will still end when you contact reaches the last step off your automation. But this action acts more like a North that there are no more steps for the contractor taking your automation. The end Other automation action will stop the contact running through any other specific automation there to choose or all the other automation the contact is in. Then we have the Web hooks action. So what exactly is a very book in the simplest of terms in the world. Off tech. There are multiple ways in which different APs can communicate with one another to share information, and we're books is one of them. The Web pokes Action allows you to past data from active campaign to another app in real time. If you're not very technical and still want to try out this feature, I recommend that you check out Xabier, which can act as an easy to use intermediary to connect active campaign and your third party app. Finally, the perform Met Automation action allows you to perform some basic math operations and feels with numbers, currency or dates. You could have a custom field with currency, which has a certain amount on it. And if a contact buys more from you with an Upsell, then you could perform the matte function to automatically update the value if you have their conversion. Next, we have the corn tax are degree, which has a variety off actions later to managing your contacts. You have the subscribe and unsubscribe actions, which can add or remove contacts from your list. There are many times you can use the subscribe button and subscribe actions together in an automation. For instance, when a new customer makes an order, you could remove them from your mean list using the unsubscribe action, and you could use the subscribe action Toe. Add the customer to your customer list using the same automation. You have the update a contact option, which allows you to add data to a contact Secord. You could use this action to add data to a contacts field. For instance, you could update a status field with brand champion if they share your campaign on social media. The AG. A tag action will add attack to a contact when there needs to step in an automation. The remover tag option does the opposite and remove the tag from your contact. The angnote action attach is a note to the current tax record. This option is highly useful. If you plan to use a CRM part of active campaign, for example, you can use add a note for hiding information in your marketing stage so there's been a lead passes into sales. The sales team can read the northern note what the contact has done, what they viewed and what they were interested in this info can give your sales team additional insights that may help them close the sale. Next, you have the right to Facebook custom audience is, and you have the removed from Facebook custom audiences. These actions are only available for the plus professional enterprise plans. These are very useful automation for those using Facebook advertising as part of their marketing strategy. Once you've connected the two platforms, you can then target your active campaign contacts on Facebook. The combination of Facebook and active campaign gives you a very well rounded way to interact with your contacts. Next, we have the adjuster contact score option. Ah, contact scores points of that. You can assign each of your contacts. Points can be awarded for a variety of factions, such as a page visit approaches a campaign open and much, much more points can be added, subtracted and can also be set off to expire. After a set amount of time. The adjust score action will allow you to automatically move a contact score up or down when they reach that step in the automation. Last but not least, is the convert option, which is only available with the professional plan. The convert action enables a contact trigger conversion, violent and automation. Finally, we have the CRM related actions with the active campaign CRM. You'll have to get used to some of active campaign CRM terminology. For example, Ah, pipeline is active. Campaigns version off a sales funnel. The biplane can be divided into various stages, just like to see its funding has VDs sieges. And a deal is what gets created for your contact during the marketing process, and it can be moved from states to state. You'll understand this better once you start learning the C atom off active campaign a little bit. All the tasks within the CRM category relate toe actions happening within the pipeline and can very from adding ordeal, operating a title off a deal, updating the status of her deal and so on. Finally, we have the Salesforce category. No, Salesforce is a very popular Sierra, amused by many companies around the world. In fact, it's so popular that active campaign created a separate category of factions for it, which are used to create a contact in salesforce and create a leading salesforce. Well, that was a quick round up on any of the actions that you have available in autumn ations. Thank you so much for joining me in this lecture. It's time to start building a very first automation, so I will see you in the next one. 5. Building a Newsletter Automation : Now that you familiarize yourself with the infrastructure on which automation czar built, it's time for you to gain confidence using the automation builder. So I'm gonna build a complete automation step by step in this lecture for you. And I strongly suggest that you follow along with me and create your own building. Your automation alongside will help you absorb the information far better than you were passively watching this lecture. The automation that we're gonna build in this lecture is to deliver an email newsletter to start with from wherever you are an active campaign click Automation is on the left hand side. Once the screen changes, go ahead and click. Create in automation on top. The recipe mortal window opens up here. You have several options to choose from. Since we're creating our own custom automation, we're gonna select start from scratch and we're gonna hit. Continue next trigger window opens from your vigorous direct. How are contact enters the automation toe, select our trigger veteran. Choose subscribes to a list and I'm gonna hit Continue. When you select a star trigger, you're gonna be asked. A few questions were living to that start in this case you'll have little active campaign. If you want your automation to run for any list or for a specific list, I'm gonna leave this at any list for now. Next. You also have to decide if you weren't the automation to run once or you wanted run multiple times. I leave this other default option runs once for right now, you can also segment your contacts as they enter your automation. For now, we won't create a segment, and I'm gonna click at Start the automation Blood, then asks you toe pick or toe. Add a new action under the Agnew action section. You have several options. We're going to use the classic sending action, which is sending email a pop Up opens, which asks us to create an email to get started. So we're gonna click, create an email. The email name pop up, which opens after that is for internal use only. I'm gonna write welcome e mail number one, and I'm gonna go ahead and click. Create next your director toe the template library, where you can select a pre built template or build one from scratch. Let's elect a welcome in your template by clicking. Use this template. Next, you're presented with a box with name off the sender and the email idea of the sender and all you have produced fill out the subject line for our subject line. I'm gonna keep it simple and gonna put welcome and click. Continue next the campaign or the email below loads. And it's here where you can customize your email. However you would like by using their text boxes on the right, you can simply dragon Robert X box. Or you can drag and drop in image box or any of the blocks right here in order to customize your email template. If you want to go ahead and delete any of these boxes, you simply scroll and click the gear icon and right and click Delete this and active campaign asks us if you're sure we go ahead and click. Yes, and I'll do it once again. Delete. Yes, we're gonna leave are welcome email as it is for right now, because I'm pretty sure that you get the idea. So I'm gonna hit saving exit and I'm gonna hit save again to save this email before we move on. Let's name our automation, so I'm gonna name automation, news, letter or commission and I'm gonna hit Save. The next thing that I think we should do is give our contact sometime before we send them another email or take any other action so you can insert, await step by clicking the plus Barton going to conditions and workflow and then clicking Wait where a pop up opens up and ask you wait for a specified period of time of a gentle specific conditions on it. Since we want to wait for a specified period of time, I'm gonna click that radio Barton, and I'm going to say, Wait for three days and I'm gonna hit safe. And as you can see, the next step in our automation has been added. Let's really customize our automation. Now let's hit the plus button again and select different parts that are contacts can take. So let's like the If else statement we're looking for a contact will take the action off opening our email. So let's select actions on the selector condition and we're gonna select, has open and we're gonna select are welcome email number one and then we're gonna hit ad. Now you can see that what's happening here is the FL Statement has now split our contacts into the people that have open our email number one and the ones that haven't for the Yes, but I'm gonna click the plus, Burton, and I'm gonna end this automation. Typically, this is where I recommend that you act further actions in build a full follow up sequence of females. Let the e mails we customers to your product, category or website. But if they didn't open our first email, then they'll be traveling down the no part and let's send them another Hello. So it looked like two plus Barton again. And then I'm going to go to the sending options car degree, but I'm gonna click. Send an email to send our second email. I'll follow the same procedure again, such as click on, create a new email. And this time I'm growth having email name. Welcome, E mail number two and I'm gonna hit create. I'm gonna go ahead and choose the same template, and I'm gonna write hello again in our subject line and I'm gonna hit continue our campaign below loads up again in a more clicks even exit and I'm going to save this email, as are welcome email number two. And now let's scroll down and see that we have a second email, which is being sent to the customer services. Welcome, email number two. Now let's elect another weeklong read this time before we perform on extraction. So I'm gonna hit the plus Barton and grew conditions and workflow and click quit wheat for a specified period of time. So before we take on next action, we weren't of eight for seven days. So I add the number seven and it's safe and we rinse and repeat. Now, what we're gonna do is we're gonna add another if else condition where we split our contacts in tow, if they opened are welcome email number, toe or if they have not opened a welcome email number toe. So we go ahead and click the plus Parton again. If else and we select a condition actions the contact has opened are welcome. Email number two and click add. And as you can see, the if else statement has split up our contacts into two again. If they have opened a second email, I'm gonna click. Yes, and I'm gonna end this automation. And if they're not opened a second email. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna unsubscribe them from our list. Un subscribing your disengage contacts is important because it helps keep your delivery ability rates up. So I'm gonna go ahead and click the plus, Barton, The unsubscribe action is under the corn tax category off active campaign actions. So I'm gonna go ahead and click this and I'm gonna scroll down and all the editors, So I'm gonna click unsubscribe, and I'm gonna unsubscribe this contact from all our lists because they don't seem to be opening our email and I'm gonna hit save active campaign Asks is the second time. Are you sure you want to select all lists and we click? OK, and now I'd like to end this automation here as well, just to show that I'm finished. So I click the plus Parton once again and I go toe conditions and workflow and end this automation. Now that this automation is done, I simply go ahead and click the active Barton toe, activate the automation and if I want to see this is part of our activated automation ins, I go ahead toe automation screen. And there you go. The green Barton right here on top signifies that. Now the newsletter automation is an active automation with two emails, which is the welcome email number one and welcome email number two as part of the automation. And at this moment in time, there's no contacts you just created. This wraps up our lecture on Cue Ting, a newsletter Automation. I hope you gain some value from this. Thank you so much for joining me in this lecture. And I will see you in the next one. 6. Organizing Automations: Ben Franklin said. For every minute spent and organizing an hour is earned as you experience with active campaign grows, it's easy for me to presume that you're gonna start building in experimenting with more and more automation. But if you're not careful, your automation dashboard could start looking like its very own Frankenstein monster. So in order for you to prevent headaches in the future, let's go or some of the best practices Toe Keep Your Automation is organized in a lecture so smartly titled Organizing Automation, You may remember that I mentioned earlier that when I brought Imation's I like to think like an artist. I enjoy building playing around and improving. Automation is over time. So, as you can see at the dashboard in front of you, I have 54 automation at this moment in time, most of which are active part, Some are inactive and some are in process for people like me and hopefully you. When you become an automation master, it's really important that you have a system in place to keep. Your automation is organized because as much as I know how great it would be if you could build an automation set it and forget it. Unfortunately, you see that in the real world, life doesn't always work out that way. Automation zehr Usually only static for small lengths of periods. In time. Commonly, you'll have to come back to them every once in a vile and weak something. You're free connection. You are at a trigger there, and at that time, when you've completely forgotten about the bells and whistles there to added or what you named the automation, you'll be happy that your automation is were well sorted out. So to help you keep your automation dashboard organized, keep in mind two things. Think of these. Is there to rules to keep all your automation is organized. Rule number one. Always take a moment and give some additional tart with name that you're giving an automation. Before building an automation, you'll usually know the purpose of your automation. For example, it could be a series off Welcome emails Introducing your new contact your brand or it could be an upset city. Starting to make a client put is something more from you, or it could be an unsubscribe series where you are sending multiple emails. Store client who has an open door interacted with any of your previous emails. In each of these cases, it's a good idea to start the name off your automation with Welcome Siri's Colin name of the automation or Upsell CDs. Colin. Name of the automation or unsubscribe CD's called a name off the Automation. You get the general idea. Here's why this is important. This will be of great help when you try to search for an automation using the search box right here. Since even if you do forget the name, it's gonna be easy for you really collect the CDs, the automation later toe. So let me show you. I have off. Welcome Siri's. Now, if I ended up forgetting the name off my automation and I simply type welcome here, I would get all my welcome. Automation is your and my number of automation. Zlook true would go down from 54 to 21. Another way, this really helps is when you're looking at the automation dashboard. If you have the name of the series written right up top on the name itself, it's really easy for you to identify the purpose of the automation without actually having to click and open the automation and to see what's inside the automation. Okay, so that wraps up Rule number one. Let's move on to rule number two. Rule number two off organizing automation. XYZ to make sure that you use the labels feature that active campaign has to offer whenever you create an automation, there's an ad label Barton that appears right next to automation. In fact, it appears next to any automation and to either label, you simply click on add label, and you'll see the labels that you can give the automation. Now I have my own set off labels, which I'm giving my automation, but you will have to create your own series to create a new label. All you do is click create new label, give your label the name and give it whatever color you were like or how you would categorize your own color scheme or exhorted this as an example. I own an educational institute with Caesar's music, technology and art classes, so I give labels called Music taken art, which I apply to the related automation. This allows me to simply go to the label tab, and if I want to select Let's say, for example, my music related automation. I can go down and I confined music, and I have these automation pop up, which shows that I have six. Automation is with the music label, so that's also one of the race to filter down and see your automation. You'll have to think of your own personalized label system, which you can use in a variety of ways. For example, you could have labels or different product categories, staff names or anything of the sort Before I end this lecture. Here's the guideline. Whenever you build an automation, make it a standard practice to apply both rules, that is, have a standard naming convention, which you use for your autumn ations and secondly, apply label she or Toomey's. If you can do bought, at least doing, and that's it, that wraps up our lecture on organizing automation. Thank you so much for joining me in this lecture, and I will see you in the next one 7.
