1. Mastering Video Editing for Internet Marketers Part 2: hi and welcome to the second part off the course Master Video editing for Internet marketers. My name is Mona and I'm your instructor. In this course, After I got my degree in multimedia design and information technology, I've been working as an online instructor. Video marketing was 1st 1 of those things I resisted to do, but when I finally started doing it, it totally changed my business. I could reach my students far better than was writing alone last, but not least because I could show what I wanted to teach while doing it. Also, I could build a relationship with my students, and I can tell you it was first really scary to get in front of the camera. But that wasn't the only skill I had to master the other definitely waas video editing. When you offer radio content, you need to add it. Your videos yourself because nobody understands better what you want to say with a video than you. This class is split into three parts, and you are now watching the second part where we talk about the media, library, audio and video tricks, as well as how to add it. Transitions and a logo. The goal of this class is to understand how you can brush up your videos to make them more exciting to view. Enjoy the class. 2. Let's dive into the Interface: the media libraries, a place where you managed all the media you have included in your video. So let's look at this one. And you see, here's a video recording and here is the audio on. When you look in the document you see here the audio unti here, the video and even better you can act everything you need here. So let's do that. I go to my desktop and here is an EMP astri file. It can just back and drop it here into the media library. It doesn't matter if it's Empress Tree or J. P. G. You see, I can just drag and drop it into my media library, and I can even rename it here if I want to. So just click into that and then rename it true. Whatever Mac o s X so and I have renamed the whole sink and then I can drag and drop it here into my style. So let me do that. Just drink it here, for example, and then after I have the track and then it switches to the end with my image. So you can basically at whatever medio you want here, into your media library and then just Dracut here into your project. And even better, you can do that by dragging and dropping here from desktop to your or from a folder for your media library. And you can also do it here by click on at Media and then you navigate to the folder and just add it here and if matter you can at recording. So, for example, if you feel like something is missing from your video, you can just click here at recording, and it will record your screen whatever you want. Of course, you don't have to record this. No again. And then you can simply add it to your project on something I had just recently discovered . Is this little error here? When I click on that, it navigates me to food and booze. I photo and I choose. So when I want to get something from there, I can just click here on events or photos and direct my photos directly from my photo into the media library. And here. When I have a bigger project and I want to search for something, I can do so and just at my word here and search for the media I'm looking for. And last but not least, let me clothes that you can also zoom in and out So you know better. What you are searching solo me that a bit bigger? Um, this one as well. You see, I can just make a media library bigger and zoom in more. Until you go, you can see your single files much better. 3. Audio and Video Tracks: in this video, we are looking at the different audio and video treks and how you can add it them. So let's go into the demo video here, Onda. And as you can see, I have two tracks here. Here's my V a track, and here's the audio track on when I want to add it. The audio track. I can't really do that because this year is very air. Well, it's very small when you look here, it's from 0 to 2 minutes or more than two minutes. And I cannot really get into that and know where I have to get rid off something to do so very easy. You can just use a magnifier here and zoom in really, really deeply. And when you do so look at this year between this and this, it's just one second. So you can added the smallest possible noises here and get rid off them just by zooming into into the track. And, um, yeah, then you can add it pretty much. All you need to and then, yeah, there are different men use here, so let's go to the beginning here. When you go to you audio track. There is a little ah wheel, and when you click on that, you see different things like that clip, inspector, or let's click on that. So you see how long the whole clip is at what speed we get on. We talk about it in a bid on. You can also lock your track, which means there won't be any further changes when you look it. So be careful with that or when you do now that you have or you cannot work on it anymore. Um, okay, let's get back into that. Can also rename your clip or split your clip. You can freeze the frame or lock the clip. As we said, you can do that here, and you can do that there and was also interesting. You can at start and ending transition. So, for example, when you kept out something, let's say you do a cut here and you want to have ah blending here, so it's not so hard to switch from one part to the other. You can use the start and ending trenchant transition on your audio track, so just click then on the track and at start and ending tradition, and you will I just do that. You see? Now here's a star transition. When I go through the end, we could go there. Can see here now a small ending. Transition. Yeah, that's, Ah, very important thing as well, because then the voices fading out of it. Um and then let's talk about how this is sorted. So when I drag and drop other things into my tracks here onto the project, so let's go here when it's growing up, or that you won't see the image white. Because, of course, the layer with the video file is over or, in this case, another layer with audio track, which is over it. But this one, the weak layer with a image won't be seen because the audio, the video track, is covered here. So that means if I want to blend that in or have it somewhere, I need to drag it on top off it. So you think often overhead projector and then of different foil and then have a foil like a video and then over it the audio and over the audio, the picture. So let me drink that to the bottom, not here on what I know. Go here. You see, the voice is still there. The video is now. Cover it for the time the image appears And I can say Okay, I wanted for much longer. And then it will be covered until I blended out again. So make sure you have this listed correctly here and drag and drop your project where you need it. He is the same in there in its track. You also have the little wheel here, and you can also start an ending transitions. And you can put a template action. You can add a marker, or you can put a label, as you already know from Mick O s. And yeah, that's all you can do here on day. Um, um you can even lock that clip, of course. On and half everything layered as you want to. Now, let's have a quick look at this part. Here was very nice because you can drag and drop that, hear things, But you can also make them speaker. We go into that, Andi, I don't want you, e. I see you can make that bigger, but you really have to get here between that and then you can make the different layers. Bigger if you if you have too. So just go Between these two lines, you see knots turning, um, and just make the single layers bigger. Okay, I think that's all you need to know about audio and video tricks on Let's move to the next video. 4. What Audio Settings to use: in this video. We're going to talk about the Audi A track on. And for that, we look at the media library when you go here on top, Right, Ellen? You see, I have right now a video track and how your truck and I make it bigger now so you can see that better. And sometimes you might want to have to on your tracks. Like when I record with markers. My partner here when recording videos. I am simply half my own audio track, and Marcus s is audio track. So he has two different all your tracks here and media, every on we can't drag and drop those again here into the project. Been here, and you can magnify so you can move right and and see when which audio track starts so we can track it from left to right. And just say Okay, want to start it here for one minute, 45 if I want to, and then just have it started here. So it's a layer style we already talked about. And, um, you can even track it on top off that, but doesn't matter. Um, let's do that was like that. I I know this is the first audio track on this 2nd 1 No, I can solve that as I wanted. And, um then the voice from the second audio will start right now here at that point where half my marker. And, um, it plays a second audio track. So it doesn't matter if you have a second boys or if you have music or whatever you have, you can just say when you want to start and when. Not actually so And that is where the audio, uh, actions are for, So let's go here. First of all, you can say you can mute one audio file if you want to. So just at a video action, must I just click that and, um, show that can And you see, now I have here in your action I can say that as big as I want to, and then I can say OK over that part here off my audio, I want to mute my out, so just choose that. And now we see everywhere muted. But I can also set different things just to this video action. So let me get back that here, Um, for example, if I want to set on effect like a pre them tall. So I just put larger. And then this part off my audio file has the large room atmosphere on. Then again, it gets back. I'm not to forget what I said before. Here. You can turn off the whole audio, so you don't need to vary that anything is. Stop playing in from the one on the bottom, or if you want to add it, this one in detail, you better turn off that one. Okay, I'm beside that. You also have the choice to update the volume here. So if you want to increase the value for example, if this microphone is a bit less loud than the other one, you may want to have that increase in that, not on them. So you do that. Make sure you mark your audio track like 1/2 here. Nominal. This one is Mark. Just click on that on. You see this yellow walks around it, and that means your audio track a smart can switch easily between each of them. And you can also, of course, removed the action. Just click you on the action and then clicks a delete key. And, um, it's gone on. What you always should do is here, remove the background noise because there there's always something. Um, if you're not recording in the studio in an audio studio, you may have a car in the background or your PAC running around. Whatever you have, this will turn off your background noise. Andi was always a good thing to do. So whatever your record is a good thing to remove the background noise. Yeah, basically, that's and that's how you at the audio action to different parts off your video on you can also look at ducking, which means you can say OK between this and that part. I want to docking on just at the video action then and you have attacking on this part off your audio track. Okay, so I hope you get the idea how all your tracks are working at all when you have to use an action and when. Not so, if you want just part off the video, just use the action If you want. All just put the audio action. Uh, just turn on the boxes here 5. We are there - how to get it all together: in this video, we're going to talk about editing the video and audio track. So let's start with a look at the media library. What you find here, when you click on that sign, you will see all material you used in your video and here can see my my screen recording the audio than here. More video I have recorded than A J P. T. A PNG file, which is my logo was a transparent background and an introduction four of the course. So let me get to the start and you see the introduction. Okay, Um, so what? I'm creating this videos. I usually need several elements in each radio on That is, for example, here the intro. Then, of course, the logo which appears in a bit, Ellen the ultra here at the very end. And when I have first added them to the project, I want them to come up again again the same way in each every project. For example, I want, um I want the info api to appear on the very beginning. Then logo should fade in. And at the end, I want the outro fading in. So to get that always in the same manner I want to group my elements on. That is pretty easy to do here in ah screen flow, you simply mark them, click on them and then press a coman key and mark the attack elements. You want to grow under a right click and say, group, That's it. You see the quick blinking. That means it's group. When you create a new document with command and simply press coman V or paste from the editing menu, then you will see that thes elements are in the same place as they are here to a new group , them just to right click again and say it's not again links a little on them. They are as they were, okay, And, um, when you have two elements of the same area, for example, here in the same track, Um, I have this one in that and I have on area here, but we and I want you at something here I can just to click on its mark blue, and then I can again Chris Coleman V or edit and paste and Paste in whatever I want to have here as easy as that. So you haven't really way wanted to appear. Just click in, make sure that's marked blue and then paste it in. Then, of course, you can zoom in and out by using the magnify here on the bottom. So when I assume really far in you see that I see of waves in my audio fire really well. So I know that I'm talking here while here That is just the background noise and I cant apply an audio action. Would you talk about in another video to reduce the background noise? I can just put that up from here to there, for example, to just remove thes kind of little paps which which is popping out there and just get rid off that No, let me do that. But smaller. So when I click here into that, I have two options with a markup Can put it to the left. And you already saw it a minute. Let me No way. Ah! You see, I have edited I have cut all my tracks here just by clicking here in and dragging It chooses to the left here with these little see to the left and went present to the left that also have a blooding included here. Yeah, as pdf. It and I have a blending, which is the same on all my tracks here with Coman that I can get rid off that again, including the cut here on a scamp. So when I do to the right on the other side, you see it just cut and no blending appears. Be careful when you do. So when you, for example, just want a cup of a fire on the bottom? Here, I just click into that. So I'm just cutting this one and put my mark away, one to cap and then just press t and it's caught here between both of them and not all thumb. Just these two. I want to know one some space between them. I should not cut the rest of the video and move it also because that is no longer synchronized. So when I cut something here can implement something, but I can not just cut it out as well and moves that around. So when I moved that no, here, it won't be synchronized with the same in the same way when I got something out. Right? So be careful with that, okay? um, Now we want to at a start and ending, blending so may move that away and go to this piece. I wanted you right click on that. I can get started on ending from Justin's. You can also just yet a star transition or ending transition. I want no both, so you can see that properly. And that's it already. You have it here when you know, click you on the little wheel whether you click on that and you have it here or your double click on the whole piece here and you see this coming up this window and you can choose whatever blending you want on when it go here now and you saw that I just let it in a new transition. So let me click again, because it was pretty far. So the increase here to, let's say, three seconds so you can see that properly on. It's good if you have yet. Have you seen that? It's much slower now, but it will take three seconds. I can, of course, also put that and just move it here and you see how slow it gaps. Yeah, not the depends off on the blending how long you want to have that so tested And check it out whatever you want. And if you want to get rid off thes transitions, just do a right click. Um se were love on his gun. Okay. And let's talk about something at the end of the video, I have added a J p g file. I assume out so you can see that better. And for the J p g fire I want, it's you appear at the very end off the video. So I just record here and now you see, I have I do not have added any transition here. So when it let it from here, it just pops in from the first to Vienna imaged and it has a special Oh, time it appears. So when a double quick on that I see it will stay there for nearly nine seconds and I cant increase or decrease it just by going here that right and then just increased. You see there plus 6.5 seconds. War can decrease 2.7 seconds so that make a move to the right to have it in the green area . And then when this is here about 9.5 seconds and I make transition off. Let's say eight seconds or nine seconds. It will be very, very shortly there. Just let it from now so you can't see that Can't do that again. You see, it moves in very slowly, kind of strange. So that's much too much, too long. So I double click that and say, OK, let's take two seconds. Always for a dip to black. It's a good, uh, side. It's a good time to point old seconds. Two seconds is a good time. You see, that moves in very nicely. Okay, Um, I'm just to finish that radio. You can do all these things here. Also over the edit menu, just like Coman set or under transition on it will. Under the last thing you have done, you can copy, cut paste, delayed whatever you want or group on group or as starting any traditions. You can all do that also here, over the edit menu. But when you work with a program of it longer, you will realize how much quicker it is to use a short cuts and just press a case on your cable 6. Moving your different Tracks around: in this video. Let me show you how to increase and decrease different audio and video tracks here. So when you look here at the left side, off my screen, you can see that I have little fields here where I have two barrels to go up and down. And that is where can increase and decrease thes different tracks. Eso When I go here, I have this track increased and the same when I go on the bottom, I decrease the trick. That's very good when you have a huge project and you really need to look at those in detail soon in here, then as always, Good. Ah, when you can increase these tracks, you and you can also make your screen for the project in bigger. Just by pressing here, the left mouse over this great peace on, uh, move it up and down. So when you have bigger projects was more tracks. This is how easy you can do that 7. Adding Transitions: in this video, I'm going to show you how to at the transitions to your movie. So let's pretend we want to cut this here. Here just pressed t as I showed in another video. And then I have to, uh, tracks here. And when I drag it with the left malls, I press the left mouse and push it over a video trick. Andi, um, I have you hear a little transition. So, um, when I don't look like that, I would know Pops up and I can choose a transition for, For example, when I choose boxes or across hair, whatever you choose here, here will be some properties to set for you if you want to. So this depends on the tradition you choose, But you can say what you want here. You couldn't say which color you want. For example, in which room do you want or here when you have the cube shows? And, um, if you want to happen, he's in and out, or just he's out and so on. So you can basically, uh, influence how your transition appears. And when you have chosen something, you can look at the life preview for example here. Let's see you have a life previous where you can check if it's that suits you we dio on. If not, just choose something else and click again on preview. Very nice. So and here on the bottom, you have the possibility to set the time Stringent position has to stay. So let's say you wanted to five seconds. You just type in five seconds here, and, um, you transition will be much slower and smoother. Yeah, okay. And again, you can preview on once you're satisfied, you can just close seven. No. Here. Um um yeah, that meat. One more thing. My double click on that. You can favorite you're setting. So, for example, if you want that ah, you can just favorited on it. Will add the same transition again and again. Cans here over this little real you can remove the transition again. So just click on, remove on its gun and don't forget less. It's more for all videos because you don't want to confuse your, uh, your visitor. You're customer. Whoever, uh was all the different effects. So just try to have one or two effects which are pretty nice, and half are a good support for your video. 8. Branding your Videos: in this video, we're going to add a logo to our video because of logo is always good for branding. So when you have a lago and to in your course or in your video included, visitors will see was agent every reader. You post your logo on the bottom, right or left, where you choose to at it, and then they most likely come to your website and check out what you have to offer because they want to see more from you on that. It's a reason why you should never go without your logo. Try to get it everywhere. So I have created a logo in PNG for murder, as you can see here, and I've added to my media library, as we have seen in the previous video. So now I can just drag and drop my logo it right into the video. What you need to make sure is that your logo is on top off the other layers, because when I put it another video there you see, the box is still there, but the lowest no longer showing up, so make sure you have it on top of everything, so it will always be there. And then when you when you want to half the little position, just track it to the corner you wanted in. Make sure it doesn't cover anything important from you. Video. So And to do so, I press the shift key and keep the proportion off my low and put it in the bottom right corner. You can, of course, put it in the bottom left corner wherever you wanted. Just make sure your logo doesn't cover anything important in your video. Okay? Um and then you need to check out how long you low appear. So here in this video, have a look at that. I let it from. You will see it disappears once it's over this area, and that is not what we want. Actually, we wanted to stay until the end of the video, so I make it much longer. And then I also don't wanted to just pop in, See, just comes up. I I want it to slide it. So it do right? Click and say, at started ending transitions. I make that bigger so I can influence my transitions. See now how it works. So it just appears so. It's nicely but I can set whatever I want for exam, Aiken said. It wanted to second to take to appear. I want the same. On the end of the video. I'm have, of course, the same transition. Nothing is for us and having too many transitions in your video, so make sure you have the same at the end, the front of your video. So let's check that you see now it fades in nicely before the video appears off course, they will be an intro before, so it's not that like it isno just popping in it, it will be much nicer. 9. Outro & Class Project: Congratulations. You have finished a second part off the course, mastering video editing. Four Internet marketers. Now you learned how to add a logo. How to at transitions on all these things to make your videos more exciting on this is what your project is about. Plays at a local to your video. I know it just demo content, but that's just fine. It just let you learn to handle the media library and at different video and audio track to your original video. Thank you for watching on Let's Dive into the third part of the class.
