What You'll Learn

  • Finding Inspiration. You'll look at current maps and start thinking about how you use them, what attracts you, and what puzzles you about them.
  • Hand-Drawn + Printed Maps. We'll focus on tangible maps, both mundane and experiemental.
  • Mapping in the Digital Age. We'll look at stand alone digital maps, as well as examples that are integrated into blogs and websites

Note: This class filmed on a laptop + using screenshare, and may not be as flashy as some others, but amazing and inspiring work is created all the same!

Genealogist making family history maps

This map making course was super inspiring, interesting and fun. Now I cannot stop making maps! I love how Anne not only gives concrete information but also provides lots of history and examples to get your creativity flowing. I highly recommend this class if you love cool maps and always wanted to make your own. It's the reason I joined Skillshare and I am so glad I did. This is just one of the many great courses. Be sure to check out all of Anne's classes. Inspiration galore!
Oh, that was such a great class! My head is about to explode from all the info shared by the tutor, and my heart is about to burst with joy and bliss! Seriously, that was full of tools and inspiration, and I am going to skip dinners and stuff, so that I can sit and draw maps all day. Thank you, Anne, you are such an inspired and inspiring gal! I'll be submitting by project soon.
